plans to transform the world

into a giant icebox with
his instant freeze.

Then Gleek and those Wonder Twins

have to save a girl from the
perils of a dangerous prank

played by some thoughtless companions.

Next, the Superfriends
are called into action

when the weird Professor Korloff

brings a mysterious mummy
to life to terrorize

and steal the treasures of the world.

And Wonder Woman and her
mighty mite friend, Atom

swing into action to save a
cable-car load of passengers

caught in a high wind over
treacherous terrain.

All coming right up...

[dramatic music]

An island, somewhere in the Pacific

where an evil plan is brewing

that will threaten
two-thirds of the Earth.

Vroom

Three miles from target
area and closing, Sculpin.

Excellent. Prepare to activate
the hydro-freeze ray.

Hydro-freeze ready.

Now, to freeze all of
the world's oceans.

Zap

screech

It's incredible.

All the world's oceans are frozen solid.

That's right, Aquaman.

Our computers indicate
that whatever caused it

came from somewhere in the Pacific.

We'll start searching
that area immediately.

Right. Let's go.

[male narrator] Moments later, Superman and Aquaman

search the frozen Pacific.

Superman to Aquaman, I've
spotted a stranded freighter.

Coordinates 3317.

I'm on my way.

Right, Superman, and just
before everything froze

we picked up a fast-moving
object on radar.

I wonder what it was.

We'll find out. It must be
frozen in the water somewhere.

Oh. But that's the funny thing.

After the water froze,
it was still moving.

And heading south.

The only thing south of here is
Jungle Island and Storm island.

That may be where it went.

I'll check out Storm Island, Aquaman.

You investigate the other.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, at Jungle Island...

[dramatic music]

Our next operation is to cut up the ice

into giant blocks with the heat laser

and sell them to the barren
desert countries of the world.

Our first delivery will
be to the Gobi Desert.

[alarm beeping]

Sculpin, an intruder is approaching.

Aquaman.

Great Neptune.

The Sculpin. So he's the one
who's freezing the oceans.

It's time to use my portable heat ray.

I should be able to melt a
tunnel through the ice

and get to the ship undetected.

[intense music]

Well, it looks like the Sculpin
has netted the King of the Sea.

I wouldn't be too sure, Sculpin.

Quick, get him.

It's time to do a little fishing myself.

A gallant fight, Aquaman

but you won't escape
my hydro-freeze ray.

Now, to put Aquaman in
cold storage for a while.

Thud

Prepare the hydrocopter.

It's time to make our first delivery.

[whirring]

[male narrator] Meanwhile, at Storm Island.

There doesn't seem to be anything

out of the ordinary here.

I'd better check with Aquaman

at Jungle Island.

[whirring]

Approaching Ice Section 117, Sculpin.

Very good. Halt engines.
Prepare the laser cutters.

[whirring]

[aircraft whirring]

Set a course for the Gobi Desert.

Full speed ahead.

[intense music]

And he's captured Aquaman.

till it's safe to attempt a rescue.

We're over the deposit area, Sculpin.

That's what I call a warm greeting.

It's time to melt the ice

and complete our first
ocean transaction.

Superfriends! I won't
let you stop my plans.

[Superman] Now, all we have to do is
return this ocean water to the Pacific.

defrosted and back to normal...

[Superman] The Sculpin shouldn't

taking advantage of the desert
countries' water problems.

I hope he learns that only
through honest efforts

can problems be solved
without creating new ones.

at the Pine Cone Ski Resort and
we haven't seen her since.

an ancient exhibit to life

creating a monster

in "The Mummy of Nazca."

an analysis of the carvings
on this mummy case

lead us to believe it
contains the remains

of an ancient astronaut from outer space

who landed on Earth thousands
of years ago near Nazca, Peru.

Gosh, Mr. Kent, I'm sure glad you could

fill in for Superman and
take us to see this.

It's, uh, the least I
can do for Superman

after all he's done for me.

Ladies and gentlemen,
the mummy of Nazca.

[crowd gasps]

is called a mummy instead of a daddy?

Zan, is not even spacey.

guard makes his nightly rounds.

for your super strength.

Rip it open.

[intense music]

Oh. That was great pizza.
I never ate so much.

Nobody ever ate so much.

Although there is a
very close runner-up.

[burps]

Snap it up, Gleek, we'll be late

getting back to the Hall of Justice.

Come on, that museum alley is
a shortcut to headquarters.

Jupiters, look.

[growling]

- It's the mummy.
- He's alive.

[screeches]

It's gonna take more than just
little us to stop big him.

You cut him off at the pass
and I'll capture him.

[in unison] Wonder Twin powers activate.

Shape of a wall of ice.

Take care of them, Nazca.

[growling]

[intense music]

[Jayna] Oops. Zan was wrong.

This mummy's got the strength
of a thousand daddies.

[growling]

Come, we have work to do.

The Superfriends aren't
gonna believe this.

the Hall of Justice...

And then he wrapped a
steel fence around us

like it was tinfoil.

Holy, wild stories.

That couldn't be the museum's mummy

he's thousands of years old.

I'm afraid it is, Robin.

We've just received a report
that the mummy is missing.

[beeping]

[Superman] The TroubAlert Computer.

[roaring]

A mummy got away.

If we can identify that man

who was with the mummy we may find

a clue to what they're up to.

I'll rewind the Justice League
monitor tape and zoom in on him.

Now, to run the freeze frame

through the computer for a readout.

[beeping]

"Professor Rudolph
Korloff, archaeologist.

Whereabouts, unknown."

It looks like the next move
is up to Korloff and Nazca.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, on a
private jet high above the Atlantic.

Nazca, when you find for me

the first of these three ancient objects

the greatest power of the
universe will be mine.

First, you will bring me
the pyramid of the Incas.

[dramatic music]

[male narrator]
Professor Korloff's jet lands secretly

in an airstrip outside Paris, France.

Later, at an estate on
the outskirts of Paris.

[growling]

[Nazca growling]

Who is out there?

Bam

No, it can't be!

[growling]

[music continues]

[male narrator] Later, at the Justice League

the French police make satellite contact

with the Superfriends.

The escaped mummy is here in
Paris. Please, come quickly.

- Korloff has made his move.
- Let's go.

[dramatic music]

[male narrator] The Superfriends streaked across

the Atlantic to search for Nazca.

[intense music]

[Superman] A mummy.

[growling]

[dramatic music]

[passengers yelling]

[passengers cheering]

[crowd] Superman!

[rumbling]

[growling]

- Oh!
- Help!

I better stop him before
he turns the Eiffel Tower

into another Leaning Tower of Pisa.

[creaking]

[cheering]

We heard the screams.
Where's Nazca?

He tipped the Eiffel Tower
to divert me and got away.

Little does Superman suspect

that directly below him
in the Paris subway...

[growling]

Later, within the hallowed walls

of the European
Archaeological Institute...

...the Super Friends try
to learn the meaning

of the stolen pyramid.

It's known as the Pyramid of the Incas

one of the three ancient
articles found in South America

at the turn of the century.

Do all these articles
have something to do

with ancient astronauts?

Oui, somehow.

The other two articles are this obelisk

and this odd
circles-within-a-circle piece.

Madam Gandali of Bombay
University has the obelisk.

The other is in Hong Kong

but nobody seems to know exactly where.

- I bet Professor Korloff does.
- We'll have to split up again.

Aquaman and I will check out Hong Kong.

The rest of us will head for Bombay.

Bombay, India, a city

teeming with millions of inhabitants.

And within the walls of its
world-famous university...

And that's the whole
story, Madam Gandali.

It's vital we guard this
obelisk 24 hours a day.

But as you know

I was just about to take
it by train to New Delhi

for an exhibition.

Yes, and our plan is to accompany you

and set a trap for Professor Korloff.

[train chugging]

Later, as the Bombay Express
speeds towards New Delhi...

...Wonder Woman disguises
herself as Madam Gandali.

Batman and Robin in the baggage car

wait for the mummy to strike

while the Wonder Twins remain on alert

in the compartment next to Wonder Woman.

[train chugging]

The woman in the compartment

it is not Madam Gandali, yet
a woman dressed as her.

So it is a trap.

And I shall spring it in reverse.

Will Korloff succeed?

Will the baggage cart speed
to certain destruction?

Can this be the end of Batman and Robin?

But even as Batman radios his warning

it's already too late.

[bell ringing]

[screeching]

[growling]

Whoa. When they stop around
here, they really stop.

[intense music]

[growling]

Ah!

It's the mummy.

He's heading for Wonder Woman's
compartment. Come on!

This should be Madam
Gandali's compartment.

Get me the obelisk, Nazca.

I wouldn't try that, Professor Korloff.

I don't know what you're up to, Korloff

but it's about time you were stopped.

You are no match for us, Wonder Woman.

Rip the car open.
Get the obelisk!

Now to lure the mummy into
this special freight car

of high-strength tungsten carbide steel.

[growling]

Catch, Nazca.

[growling]

No, Nazca, it's a trick!

[growling]

- The mummy is opposite us.
- We'll get him this time.

You turn into a giant snake
and coil around him.

I'll geyser you over the top.

[both] Wonder Twin powers, activate.

[grunting]

Later, in Hong Kong...

[Wonder Woman on radio]
Korloff has the obelisk

and has taken Zan and Jayna hostage.

He should be headed your
way for the third piece.

Roger. We'll take care of

We've got to rescue the twins.

Which means searching
every inch of Hong Kong.

I'll take the harbor, you
cover the rest of the city.

Up, up and away!

Later, in Hong Kong harbor

a junk heads toward Kowloon Island.

At the wheel, Professor Korloff

and in the hold, the
mummy and his captives.

Soon I will have the last item,
and it will ensure my success.

Miles away, Superman scans Hong
Kong with his x-ray vision

vainly searching for Zan and Jayna.

And below the waters of the harbor

unaware of how close he
is to Professor Korloff

Aquaman telepathically calls
his flying fish friends

to search every single
ship in Hong Kong harbor.

[Korloff] For years scientists
have been searching Hong Kong

for that third piece, the
circles within a circle.

And all the time it's been

inside that floating restaurant...

...as a wall decoration.
Ha-ha-ha...

[Korloff] Get the circles, Nazca.

[clamoring]

Aquaman to Superman, the twins
are prisoners on a junk

near the floating restaurant
at Kowloon Island.

I'll meet you there.

[whooshing]

I'll take care of you while
Aquaman handles your boss.

It's a dummy.
We've been tricked.

Did you see where
Professor Korloff went?

No, but he got that
circles-inside-a-circle thing.

And said he has now the key
to control the universe.

[Superman] Korloff now
has all three items

connected with the ancient astronauts.

The only question is, why?

[Batman] And what does he
plan to do with them?

if you connect three of
anything, you get a triangle.

These three pieces may have
been used for triangulation

as a kind of compass or guide.

We'll overlay a map of Nazca,
Peru, where the mummy was found

then have the computer plot
all the planetary positions

in ancient times.

[whirring]

"Location, 50 miles due east of Nazca."

Something there must contain
an enormous power.

We must get there immediately
before Korloff.

But at Nazca, Peru, Professor Korloff

and the mummy have already arrived

at the site of the secret power source.

We've done it, Nazca!
Break through the shell.

[Nazca growling]

The greatest power ever
known to mankind!

And with it, I shall be

destroying an ancient building.

An archaeologist should know better.

Fortunately, as fast as
your mummy tears it down

we can rebuild it.

Korloff's escaping.

The all-terrain Bat-vehicle
ought to catch him.

[helicopter whirring]

[Korloff] Have a smashing time, Aquaman.

[Korloff chuckling]

Korloff's gonna smash Aquaman
against that cliff!

Not if I can help it, Robin.

Now to reel in a very fishy flying fish.

[helicopter whirring]

It looks like a smashing time
is what you'll be doing

in the prison rock yard, Korloff.

The mummy, he's getting away!

[growling]

- We have to stop him!
- No, Zan, let him go.

[whooshing]

Yes, let him go.

He's only returning to his own world

a world he left thousands of years ago.

[Superman] Professor Korloff
was a brilliant archaeologist

but he forgot one thing

that there are two ways
to approach a career

honestly and dishonestly.

He also forgot that using
knowledge for evil

can only lead to eventual failure.

Uh, what's Gleek want
with that computer tape?

Maybe he wants to see if the computer

can locate mummies from his own planet.

[gibberish]

[Super Friends laughing]

[Zan] Well, it looks as
if the computer found

at least one Gleek mummy.

[laughing]

[Wonder Woman] Now we'll
decode today's code word.

What was the first clue?

That was another word for quiet.

Or a nickname for mother.

- And I think it's mum.
- Right.

How about the second clue, remember?

It's not you, but it rhymes with she.

The she means you.
Who could it be?

I think I got it. It's me!

Right. So putting the clues together...

- You get mummy.
- Right.

Good detective work. Ha-ha-ha.

Next, a mountain tram is
caught in a high wind

the passengers stranded.

Can Wonder Woman and Super
Friend Atom save them?

Watch and see.

Hi, I was planning to
take a lot of these

empty bottles over to
the recycling center.

But let me show you a little recycling

we can all do right at home.

What does this plastic bottle look like?

I can imagine it looks like a pig.

And a pig suggests a piggy bank.

Then with paint or markers like this

we can draw a face on
the bottle, like this.

Other decorations help our design.

We'll finish the bank a
little later on in our show.

[instrumental music]

The Rocky Mountains,
whose towering beauty

can also present situations
of unparalleled danger.

That's the last of the
skiers off the mountaintop.

Good, from the looks
of those storm clouds

there's bound to be trouble.

[thunder rumbling]

[lightning crashing]

This storm's moving in fast.

We'll never make it to
the bottom in time.

[electricity crackling]

Lightning shorted out the machinery.

If these winds continue

they could rip the car from the cable.

Our only chance is to try to fix it.

[wind howling]

[lightning crashing]

Moments later, at the Hall of Justice...

There's little time, Super Friends.

The storm's getting worse

and that cable car can't withstand

the high winds much longer.

I'll take the invisible jet
and leave immediately.

And I'll tag along, just in case
you need some compact power.

In moments, Wonder Woman and Atom

race toward the distant Rockies.

[lightning crashing]

[screaming]

The cable car's dead
ahead, Wonder Woman.

The storm's too fierce,
if I get any closer

the wind could blow us
right into the car.

There may be another way.
Lower your rescue cable.

I've got an idea.

If I can just attach this rescue line...

[Atom] You can all relax,
Wonder Woman should be able

to hold the car steady
until the storm passes.

But what about the cable-car operator?

He crawled out onto the cable
to fix the machinery.

[Atom] Looks like he's
the one in a fix now.

Better get him before
he accidentally breaks

the world high-diving record.

[intense music]

And now to finish recycling
our plastic bottle

into a piggy bank.

I've gathered up a few extra items.

A pipe cleaner and four
empty thread spools

and a sharp pencil.

Carefully punch a hole
in the plastic bottom.

Push a pipe cleaner in

then a little white glue
to hold it in place.

Finally, glue on the spool legs.

Let the glue dry overnight.

And the piggy bank is ready to use.

Just unscrew the cap to do your banking.

[intense music]

[lightning crashing]

I hope he can hang on till I get there.

Help!

I was nearly a goner.

Thanks for trying, but it would be safer

to leave the high-wire
acts for the circus.

Great Hera, that lightning
snapped the rescue cable.

[music continues]

The cable brakes have failed.
We'll crash into the tram house.

Atom, the cable car is out of control

and headed your way.

I see it, Wonder Woman.

I've got to use my atomic speed

if I'm going to stop that car in time.

If I can wrap this wire around the cable

I may be able to stop them.

Bats! I must look like
a tasty meal to them.

[bats screeching]

[zapping]

My atomic vibration should
throw off the bats' radar.

It worked. I've only got
seconds to stop that car.

That knot should stop it.

[screeching]

We've stopped!

Good work, Atom. That lightning
weakened the cable.

If it snaps, the car could
fall into those caverns.

We've got to get the passengers out

before their weight snaps the cable.

Whenever you get something in your eye

the thing to do is go to an adult

and have them carefully
pull your upper eyelid out

and lay it over your lower lid.

That'll help your eye make extra tears

and they'll help wash out
whatever's in your eye.
