[Follow Your Heart]

[Episode 39]

Stop!

Ms. Bai.

You dropped something.

Mr. Yan.

These are my men

who fought life and death battles with me.

Tonight,

they'll be at your disposal, my lord.

Guys.

Now,

I no longer have an official position.

Besides, what we're facing tonight is

the Imperial Guards.

If anything goes wrong,

it'll be a capital offence.

You...

My lord.

The men of the Inspection Office

are not afraid of death.

My lord.

We trust Commander.

Since he told us to follow you,

everyone from the Jinwu Guards

will follow you to death, Mr. Yan.

Follow Mr. Yan to death!

Follow Mr. Yan to death!

I didn't expect Bai Yuchen

really got you switched back.

What exactly happened to Jiang Xinbai?

Xinbai... He...

He was locked up in the Imperial Prison.

Now, only by saving His Majesty

can we save Xinbai.

However,

our mission in the palace this time is extremely dangerous.

Have you really made up your mind?

Let's go.

[Yanxing Gate]

-Greetings, Your Grace. -Greetings, Your Grace.

Greetings, Your Grace.

Please wait a moment.

Excuse me,

but what errand

brings you to the palace, Your Grace?

Her Majesty wants to see me.

And

this is...

She is a female physician

I brought from Yuejiang's Residence.

She was also summoned here

to nurse Her Majesty back to health.

A female physician?

Is she Ms. Bai, Bai Yuchen?

That's right.

It's getting late.

We don't want to keep Her Majesty waiting.

Please make way for us.

Hold on.

Her Highness

brought Ms. Bai into the palace once,

so I know her face.

Ms. Bai.

Please take off your veil

so that I can confirm.

Pardon me.

All of you, stop!

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Duchess Suoluo and Ms. Bai

are my guests.

How dare you offend them?

Sorry for being rude.

Your Grace and Ms. Bai, please forgive me.

Duchess Suoluo. Ms. Bai.

Come with me.

Yes, Your Majesty.

His Majesty is resting.

Please go back, Your Majesty.

I need to see His Majesty

for something important.

But...

I'm the Empress.

How dare you stop me?

I dare not.

Wait at the door.

Please.

It's indeed Zornia.

Is there a way to detoxify it?

I'll use acupuncture

to control the toxin first.

As for detoxification,

I'll use my blood

to detoxify His Majesty.

Will this really work?

Your Majesty.

I believe in Nanxing.

Yuchen?

What's going on?

What are you talking about?

What happened to my voice?

Yan Nanxing.

Good.

Good!

You...

You can actually shapeshift

into someone you know.

Pei Linfu.

Let me go.

Otherwise,

Xinbai won't let you off.

Okay.

As long as you cooperate.

Tell me

how you did it,

and I'll let you go.

You really want to know?

As long as you don't kill me,

I'll tell you.

Are you trying to play tricks on me?

Your little tricks are far too stupid

to fool me.

Bai Yuchen.

When did you become

so ignorant of current circumstances?

The only thing I care about

is the Princess.

Pei Linfu.

You'll die a miserable death.

My lord.

Her Majesty brought someone into His Majesty's study.

Who's causing trouble?

I can accept that

His Majesty dismissed me.

But the Inspection Office also got disbanded.

My men want justice.

Yes!

The Jinwu Guards

also want to seek justice for Commander Shang.

Yes!

You broke into the palace and caused trouble in the middle of the night.

Do you want to die?

I just want to see His Majesty.

How dare you act so recklessly

in the Royal Palace?

Imperial Guards, listen to my orders.

No one is allowed in.

Yes!

We need to see His Majesty!

We need to see His Majesty!

We need to see His Majesty!

We need to see His Majesty!

We need to see His Majesty!

We need to see His Majesty!

Who's that?

Jiang Xinbai.

Jiang Xinbai!

Shang Bieli.

Suoluo and Yan Nanxing

are saving His Majesty in the Imperial Study.

We need to go and help them as soon as we can.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Why is His Majesty still not awake?

It may take some time for the medicine to take effect.

How dare you!

How dare you attempt to murder His Majesty!

Protect His Majesty!

Oh no.

Your Majesty.

Pei Linfu.

How dare you!

Your Majesty.

You're fooled.

You actually got instigated by the traitors

to murder His Majesty.

Pei Linfu, it's you!

You mutinied, committed insurrection,

and poisoned His Majesty!

So what?

Now everything

is under my control.

Even if I kill you,

who can do anything to me?

Pei Linfu.

I've detoxified His Majesty.

You can't get away with this.

Although

you've detoxified His Majesty,

I can still give orders to the imperial physicians,

claiming that you're the one who poisoned His Majesty,

and Her Majesty is behind it,

while I, Pei Linfu,

loyally protected the emperor

as a meritorious hero.

Guards!

Arrest them all!

Yes!

Yes!

Pei Linfu.

How dare you!

Grand Councilor.

Shang Bieli and Jiang Xinbai

have barged in.

Take Yan Nanxing away.

Yes!

Go.

As for the rest of them,

give no quarter.

Let go of me!

Let go of me!

Yan Nanxing.

Stop acting.

Do you really think

I can't bear to kill you?

Tell me.

Tell me how you shapeshift.

Tell me!

You're not telling me?

Fine.

I'll make you die

a even more miserable death than Bai Yuchen.

Is this

the shapeshifting potion?

Lately, I developed

a potion.

However,

it still needs a medicinal usher.

If you drink it,

you may not be able to shapeshift back.

Good.

Wonderful.

Come on.

Drink it.

Drink it.

Your Majesty.

Sorry for offending you.

Watch out, Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

You're awake.

It's okay.

Everything's okay.

Suoluo.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Where's Yan Nanxing?

She was taken away by Pei Linfu.

Go save her.

Be careful yourself.

Okay.

Stop Jiang Xinbai!

You really shapeshifted.

Wonderful!

Yan Nanxing.

Get up.

Get up!

Get up!

Tell me!

Tell me

how you did it.

Tell me how to shapeshift!

I shapeshifted

because I took the Zornia poison.

Do you want to shapeshift?

Take it then!

Tell me.

Where is Yan Nanxing?

Jiang Xinbai.

You can't do anything to me.

You're a useless person now.

Tell me!

The only thing

I regret

is not having killed you earlier.

In that case,

you'll never see

Yan Nanxing again.

Jiang Xinbai!

Take him away.

Yan Nanxing.

Pei Linfu committed a capital crime.

I hereby sentence him to death.

Jiang Xinbai.

Pass my order.

Catch the remnants of Zornia,

and eradicate

all of his cohorts.

-Wise decision, Your Majesty! -Wise decision, Your Majesty!

His Majesty orders that

we pursue Pei's remnants with all our might.

Now the traitors have been eliminated,

and the imperial court has been reorganized.

Those who profited from Zornia

will be severely punished.

All persons involved in this case

in the territory of Daqi

must be thoroughly investigated

with zero tolerance

in an effort to establish the state prestige of Daqi.

Yes!

Yes!

Yes!

Why haven't they come back yet?

Could anything have happened to them?

Father.

Could anything have happened to them?

Why are they

still not back?

Are you alright?

Yan Nanxing detoxified His Majesty.

His Majesty is unharmed.

Pei Linfu has been executed.

Good.

Good.

You protected His Majesty

and the state of Daqi.

The Jiang family

didn't let His Majesty down.

Where is Xinbai?

Where is Xinbai?

Xinbai...

Mother, don't worry.

Xinbai went to look for Nanxing.

But...

Don't worry.

They'll come back safely.

Are you okay?

I’m okay, Grandfather.

Don’t worry. It's just a minor injury.

That's good.

Ruoqian has been waiting for you.

Look.

I told you.

After all of this is over,

I will officially

propose marriage to you.

Okay.

Everything's okay now.

Promise me

you'll never do

such dangerous things again, okay?

I promise.

I won't make you worry anymore.

Yan Nanxing!

Yan Nanxing.

[Everlasting Glory]

The imperial doctor has been in there for such a long time.

Could Xinbai be...

No, no.

No way.

God blesses good men like Xinbai.

We can't

fall into disarray.

Zhiyi.

Xinbai had this disease.

Why didn't you

tell me about such a big deal

earlier?

I...

I have my reasons, too.

He lost much blood.

No.

You can't go in.

The imperial doctors are in surgery.

We can't disturb them.

All the ancestors of the Jiang family,

please bless Xinbai

and let him survive this.

I'm willing to trade my life

for his life.

Doctor.

How is Xinbai?

His Grace...

His Grace is out of danger now.

It's just...

Say it.

It's just that

I'm not sure when he will wake up.

Zhiyi.

Xinbai.

Zhiyi.

Don't worry.

Xinbai will be okay.

I've tried my best.

Qingyun.

We haven't found Nanxing yet.

We must make sure

nothing happens to Xinbai.

He'll wake up, right?

Zhiyi.

As long as Nanxing is alive,

Xinbai...

He will definitely wake up.

Why?

Why does my heart hurt so much?

Jiang Xinbai.

Are you in danger?

Jiang Xinbai.

No matter what you're going through,

you must

protect yourself.

Even if

in this life,

I couldn't shapeshift back to Yan Nanxing ever again,

promise me

you'll be safe.

You must be safe.

[A few months later]

Are you okay?

I'm okay.

Official's boots!

I'm okay.

Thank you.

Take care.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I'm okay.

Honey. Honey.

I bought you a pancake.

Eat it while it's still warm.

Let's go.

Xinbai.

Over the past 20 years,

I've been deferring to you

and letting you do anything you want.

I just hope you can be safe.

You must pull through this time.

You must wake up.

Nanxing is still waiting for you to find her.

I've sent people to look for her,

but we haven't found her yet.

I promise you

I'll get Nanxing back for you.

Zhiyi.

You've been

sitting here for many nights straight.

It's time to take a rest.

I'm fine.

I want to stay here with my son.

He will wake up.

If he doesn't wake up,

I'll stay by his side forever.

Alright.

In that case,

I'll stay here with you

until Xinbai wakes up.

Any news about Nanxing?

Not yet.

Xinbai.

Did you see his hand move?

He's awake.

Xinbai.

I'll get the imperial doctor.

Xinbai.

Xinbai.

Son.

Mother.

I can

see you clearly now.

Son.

Mother.

Suoluo.

Mr. Yan.

Grandfather.

Yan Nanxing.

Yan Nanxing.

She still hasn't come back?

Son.

We haven't found

Nanxing yet.

But don't worry.

We've tried our best to look for her.

We'll definitely find her.

Don't worry.

We need to be patient.

Yes, Xinbai.

The Inspection Office

is also looking for her.

You need to get better yourself first.

Xinbai.

Nanxing's a good person. She's definitely blessed by God.

She cares about you with her whole heart.

She will definitely come back.

Good boy.

Get well first.

Even if I have to turn

the whole Daqi upside down,

I'll find my granddaughter-in-law

for you.

Yan Nanxing.

No matter where you are,

wait for me.

♫Branches bare as flowers fall off♫

♫Akin to how I can't stay in your heart♫

♫When will I dare♫

♫To get closer♫

You like vinegar.

I'll pour you some vinegar.

That's too much.

Come on. Eat.

♫Abrupt ending on the cusp of fruition♫

I'll eat too.

Let's eat it up.

I'll eat two.

♫I'm left behind♫

♫Past, present, and future♫

You know what?

My life was miserable before.

I was abducted by a human trafficker

and almost

got killed by him.

Luckily, a young man saved me.

After that,

we fled together

and ran into some bad guys.

That young man

was taken away,

and I was poisoned by them.

That's why

I got this shapeshifting ailment.

However,

on the bright side,

if I hadn't gone through all this,

I wouldn't have met you.

Yan Nanxing.

Since I met you,

I've never seen

your true face.

We became the most familiar strangers.

We only spent a short time together,

but a long time apart.

No matter where you are right now,

wait for me.

I'll spend the rest of my life with you.
