BASED ON TRUE FACTS.
Anchorage Police Department
Alaska State Police - Anchorage Headquarters
Robert Hansen confessed to the murders of 17 women and the kidnapping and rape of 30 others.
Authorities believe really were many more. Their cases are still open.
In exchange for his confession, he was charged only with the kidnapping and rape of Cindy Paulson
and the murders of Joanna Messina, Sherry Morrow, Paula Goulding, and the unidentified body known as Eklutna Annie.
He was sentenced to life in prison plus 461 years, without the right to parole.
Hansen led agents to 17 of the locations marked on his map. It was the largest search in Alaska history.
Only 11 bodies were recovered.
Jack Halcombe continued to work for the Alaska State Police and was promoted to Commander. He is now retired.
Cindy Paulson now lives in a continental US state. She is married and has three children. This is the first time she has told her story.
This film is dedicated to all the victims.
