LAUREN: The Double Trouble curse ends now.

JON: Lauren and Nicole,

and Kevin and Gurleen jockeyed for first.

JON: With Double Trouble finally rising to the top.

NICOLE: The curse is broken, baby.

JON: And while Michael and Tyson...

and Taylor and Katie's race hung in the balance,

it was the wrestlers who hit the mat in last,

but weren't down for the count.

JON: This leg of the race is not over.

You're still racing.

TAYLOR: We're 100 times more motivated to

get back in this race.

JON: Right now, in Montreal Stade Saputo...

MICHAEL: This is going to be...

a challenge of the freaking decade.

JON: The 6 remaining teams are still racing the

longest leg of the race for a chance to win

the first ever 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV RS...

A trip for two around the world from Expedia...

A quarter of a million dollars cash...

And, The Amazing Race Canada.

TAYLOR: [Singing] It's an amazing race.

JON: Teams are now searching close to 20,000 seats

to find two matching coloured tokens-

one containing the iconic Chevrolet bowtie logo,

and the other, CF Montreal.

AMARI: Has anybody found one?

TAYLOR: No!

JON: Teams may only carry two tokens at a time.

If they don't find two tokens with the same colour,

they will have to trade them with another team.

The first 3 teams to turn in their matching tokens will

win seats on the first train to their next destination.

TAYLOR: The clue says under stadium seats

on the concourse.

I don't know how one creates a strategy

for something like this.

MATT: The method of searching for Colin and I right now

is just search every seat we possibly can.

COLIN: There's a blind Double Pass ahead,

and we know that being on the first train will

give us a bit of an advantage over the other teams.

MATT: Colin. I got one. SFX: [Bell chiming]

Okay, I just found an orange CF Montreal one.

So we're looking for one of the matching Chevrolet ones.

MICHAEL: This is tough, dude.

If I was a token, where would I be?

TYSON: Mike! MICHAEL: You got one?

Unbelievable. SFX: [Bell rings]

TYSON: I found the Chevrolet, green one.

AMARI: What colour you got? KEVIN: Literally nothing.

GURLEEN: Did you guys find anything?

MICHAEL: We ain't got nada.

GURLEEN: [Gasping]

KEVIN: Yes. Yellow, yellow.

KEVIN: Our strategy at first is to find a couple of pieces

to give us bargaining power.

But after that, we know it's gonna come down to a trade.

KEVIN: We need a yellow Chevrolet.

Hopefully, nobody's found it yet.

NICOLE: Okay, this is like pure luck this game,

so hopefully luck is on our side.

MATT: Colin, I got one.

Okay, right now I have... SFX: [Bell rings]

...black CF Montreal, orange CF Montreal token.

COLIN: Matt, Matt Matt, Matt, Matt.

MATT: What is it? Orange?

COLIN: We can't pick up this third matching token

until we get rid of this black token.

MATT: What colour do you have?

KEVIN: Yellow. MATT: Orange and black here.

COLIN: Here, give them a black.

KEVIN: You guys have extras?

MATT: Colin thinks he sees the orange one.

COLIN: Alright, we have a Chevrolet token and a

CF Montreal token, so now we have to go cash it in.

KEVIN: Good job, good job.

TAYLOR: Agh, we need a second one.

We were almost eliminated last leg.

KATIE: Having a second chance means we have to

re-evaluate our strategy in this race.

Being on this first train could make or break us.

TAYLOR: Katie, I found it.

Black. SFX: [Bell rings]

So, we have to trade or give it to another team.

KATIE: Yeah.

MICHAEL: Right here, right here.

TYSON: Yeah. We can't grab it, though.

MICHAEL: So I need to give this one away.

TYSON: Right now, we have our green token,

we have a white token.

Our green token's right there on this seat.

MICHAEL: Who has one token? We're gonna stay right here.

TYSON: All we have to do is get rid of this white token,

and we're on the first train.

-We have a white one! -Okay, we'll come get it.

AMARI: Oh, they mean they found one.

LAUREN: I think that they have an extra.

MICHAEL: Okay, so we're gonna give you this one.

AMARI: We want the one under the seat.

MICHAEL: [Laughing]

MICHAEL: Where are we looking? MICHAEL: No, this one.

I'm giving you this one.

TYSON: Because the one that's here

doesn't match you anyways.

AMARI: But it matches you.

Everybody's gonna have to work together on this one.

MICHAEL: 100%. MICHAEL: So...

TYSON: That's what we're doing right now.

MICHAEL: We'll get that.

At the end, we all switch together...

MICHAEL: [Laughs]

AMARI: Watch out. LAUREN: We'll take it.

AMARI: I grabbed the one he was sitting on.

[Laughing]

TYSON: He snagged it.

AMARI: They were sitting on it, guarding it.

But they had two, so they couldn't grab it.

TYSON: I was sitting on it and,

I guess he's got it because I don't.

-There's no way. -Yeah.

MICHAEL: He got it underneath you sitting?

TYSON: Yeah. MICHAEL: How?

So Michael, you have the green?

TYSON: We've got to keep looking.

AMARI: Mike, I've got your green one!

MICHAEL: I don't want to play this game.

So, there's no point.

I'm prepared to just be here till 4 AM.

MICHAEL: He-he-he.

AMARI: I like it. MICHAEL: [Laughing]

TYSON: It's getting exhausting. MICHAEL: [Laughing]

TYSON: Fake laughing, just cut it out.

KATIE: It's getting heated.

TAYLOR: Getting spicy.

SFX: [Bell rings] MICHAEL: Tys.

TYSON: Alright, beauty. Let's go trade somebody.

Should we just hang out here all day and have a tea party,

or do you guys want to actually start working?

KATIE: Everybody's got somebody else's colour.

Nobody's willing to trade because nobody wants to

give somebody else a spot on that first train.

KEVIN: In game theory,

this challenge is called the prisoner's dilemma.

We're essentially all locked in a cell,

and we have the key for the other teams.

Our best chance is to get the yellow token

from Michael and Amari.

AMARI: We've got two pieces that two teams

that are very upset need.

MICHAEL: [Laughing]

NICOLE: What if we never get out of here?

GURLEEN: Come, Amari, come.

KEVIN: We promise you, if we're on that first train,

we will not Double Pass you guys.

KEVIN: This is now a social game,

and we're trying to solve the puzzle,

how we can get out of here and get on that first train.

Guys, this is essentially what's gonna happen.

We're all gonna search, and the only person

who can pick up a token is Lauren and Nicole,

so Lauren and Nicole, after all of us helping them,

are gonna find a token and

they're gonna be out of here.

One spot left.

What's the point, when we have these tokens?

We could trade.

AMARI: If you guys save us for the next leg,

we don't need to be first. We just need to be not last.

KATIE: 100%. AMARI: Alright, here, take this.

Give them that one.

SFX: [Bell rings] KEVIN: Thanks, boys.

KATIE: And now... AMARI: We'll take this one.

KEVIN: Okay, I gotcha. AMARI: Geez, Louise.

PATRICE: Congratulations.

GURLEEN: Thank you so much.

KATIE: I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin and

Gurleen put our name up on the Double Pass

JON: All teams are now traveling over 100 kilometres

on two separate trains arriving 15 minutes apart

from downtown Montreal to the edge of Ontario

in the city of Cornwall.

On the first train are Colin and Matt,

Kevin and Gurleen, and Taylor and Katie.

On the second train: Michael and Tyson,

Lauren and Nicole, and Michael and Amari.

Today, teams will battle it out in Ontario's

easternmost city as they get closer and closer to the

final leg of The Amazing Race Canada.

Once here, teams will choose an all-new

2024 Chevrolet Traverse and

search a priceless collection of sports memorabilia

found in the basement of super fan, Tom Racine.

Here, in this shrine to sports,

teams will have 30 seconds to find one lucky puck

with their mugs on it.

SFX: [Whistle]

Once found, they'll hit the street for

a little game of street hockey.

Oh, car!

[Cheering]

SF: [Honking]

JON: Game on! Woo!

SFX: [Whistle]

JON: Once they've scored a goal,

Hannah will give them their next clue.Yes!

SFX: [Train horn]

KATIE: Taylor! Taylor!

TAYLOR: Bro, I told you to go that way.

KATIE: This way, this way, this way.

KEVIN: Baby, baby, come! I got it, I got it.

MATT: Go, go, go. TAYLOR: "Pluck your puck."

"Find your team's hockey puck amongst..."

COLIN: "...thousands. Then join a street hockey game..."

KEVIN: "...to receive your next clue." Let's go.

GURLEEN: Love it, let's go. KEVIN: Let's go, let's go.

COLIN: This is a nice, rigged Chevrolet.

MATT: Woohoo. COLIN: Friggin' eh.

TAYLOR: I feel really confident that Matt and Colin

will help us if needed.

KATIE: If we can help each other get out of this,

and leave Kevin and Gurleen in our dust,

I think we've got to do it.

KEVIN: Should I pass Matt and Colin?

GURLEEN: If you safely can.

KEVIN: If we get to the pass board first,

you could take a shot at a strong team in the back of

the pack like Mike and Tyson or Lauren and Nicole,

so no margin for error, baby.

Let's have some fun.

SFX: [Train horn]

MICHAEL: First out of that train.

Gotta make sure that we find this puck super quick

so we can get into the game.

Luckily for us, we have a champion

on our hands with Tyson Gilles.

TYSON: Since I retired from baseball,

I joined the Deaf National Hockey Team.

We just won a gold medal literally two days

before I started this race.

It's definitely a sport that's close to the heart.

LAUREN: Michael and Tyson are in front of us currently.

NICOLE: Hopefully, we kind of broke away from

Michael and Amari so we can...

get in there quicker.

MICHAEL: We are definitely not coming into this

with a last place mentality.

Once we get there, it's really anybody's race.

KIDS: Game on! SFX: [Whistle]

KEVIN: Hi, guys! Who's ready to play hockey?

[Cheering]

We'll join you guys right away.

SFX: [Horn]

GURLEEN: We only have 30 seconds.

There is 1000 hockey pucks, and we need to find one.

KEVIN: I saw Jon, baby, I saw Jon.

It's a picture, right, our picture.

GURLEEN: Baby, it's just a picture.

Look underneath the bottom as well.

SFX: [Buzzer]

GURLEEN: It's like a simple enough task,

but there's a lot to look at.

SFX: [Horn]

TAYLOR: Our faces will be visible.

SFX: [Ticking timer]

KATIE: [Whispers] I found it, found it, found it.

TAYLOR: You found ours? Good job, bud.

SFX: [Whistle] Let's do this, girls.

KATIE: You go, you go up. You got it, you got it.

TAYLOR & KATIE: Thank you!

TAYLOR: "It's time for a Switchback."

JON: In this Switchback, teams will revisit

a stinker of a challenge.

Hot poop!

Back in Season 2, in Charlottetown, PEI,

Ryan and Rob had a pile of trouble digging through

a mountain of cow manure during a Speedbump.

[Coughing]

It's like digging for gold!

JON: Today, racers will need to find Split Rock Farms

in nearby Apple Hill.

Teams will treasure hunt as they dig through

Mount Alpaca Poo to find their next clue.

Once they've found their clue,

racers will face the pass board.

SFX: [Alpaca humming]

The poop... it's about to hit the fan.

KATIE: Bye, everyone! Let's go.

I'm a hockey player!

We're leaving in first place.

We had a chance to play some street hockey and

it was a blast. I had so much fun.

SFX: [Horn]

GURLEEN: Okay, baby, let's go.

-I found ours. -Yes, great job, baby.

KEVIN: Great job, let's go.

SFX: [Whistle] Okay, let's go!

Let's go, yeah, baby, get it!

I tried to take the ball from a kid that's on our team.

SFX: [Horn] KEVIN: Yeah!

-Woo! -Here's your clue.

GURLEEN: "...search a giant pile of alpaca manure for a

hidden bottle with your next clue inside."

-Oh my god. -Let's go, let's go.

GURLEEN: Okay, let's go.

COLIN: Where is Matt and Colin?

SFX: [Timer beeping]

Oh, there's Michael and Amari.

There's thousands of pucks.

MATT: Endless amount of pucks. Endless amount of pucks.

MATT: Right here. COLIN: You got it?

Friggin' eh. Let's go.

SFX: [Timer beeping]

MICHAEL: That was 30? 30 seconds goes by quick.

COLIN: Boys, go in the door.

Look low- your puck is right next to the door.

MICHAEL: Okay. Which one? SFX: [Horn]

AMARI: Right here, got it? MICHAEL: Yeah. Awesome.

Bruh! Fast.

COLIN: We helped out Michael and Amari.

They're a strong team, but Lauren and Nicole and

Michael and Tyson are stronger, so the fact that

we can get Michael and Amari a little bit ahead of them,

I think that's a good thing.

SFX: [Horn]

MICHAEL: Are we missing something here?

SFX: [Buzzer]

SFX: [Timer beeping]

NICOLE: No, that's too clear.

SFX: [Timer beeping]

LAUREN: Found it!

LAUREN: At the last second!

MICHAEL: The strategy for this one is just to go...

work together in this sort of manner

and then keep cycling through.

MICHAEL: We're the last team. No one else is in line.

TYSON: We're starting to panic a little bit,

starting to get a little bit stressed.

with our team picture on it.

at this next challenge.

We've just got to get there first so we can pick the pile.

KATIE: We're looking for a clue in a pile

of alpaca...

"Detour: 'Spend Some Soins' or 'Gird Your Loins'."

JON: In this Detour, teams will take in

the Glengarry Highland Games,

a Maxville, Ontario tradition for 75 years.

It's their call, Spend Some Coins

or Gird Your Loins.

In Gird Your Loins, teams will have to learn

how to tuck and fold this 15-foot piece of cloth

into a traditional Scottish tartan kilt.

Once they're decked out in their Scottish finery,

they'll search the 75-acre fairgrounds to find the

exact same tartan worn by a guest at the games.

Once they've found a perfect match,

Donna will give them their next clue.

In Spend Some Coins,

teams need to figure out how to create

the exact change needed to buy

a wee bit of haggis.

Teams will start with a pouch full of old English currency.

Oh, the classic pence.

You know, there's 240 of these in a pound,

or you could say one-sixtieth of a crown,

and 20th of a shilling, a third of a thruppence.

JON: Oh boy.

Teams will have to search the crowd to find currency experts

wearing these sporrans who will help them decipher

the value of each coin.

Then they'll need to find the banker

to make a currency exchange.

Once they have the exact change,

they'll buy their haggis and receive their next clue.

Yummy.

TAYLOR: Let's go.

We are going to do Gird Your Loins.

KEVIN: Well played, ladies. Well played.

Katie and Taylor just beat us here by one minute.

Give them credit for playing the game.

TAYLOR: I don't feel bad about putting

Kevin and Gurleen up on that board.

I feel like if it were them in front of us,

they would have done it, even though they said

they weren't going to. KATIE: Yeah.

GURLEEN: Who finished after us?

KEVIN: I think we've got to pass Mike and Tyson.

and they're at the back of the pack.

poker chips of different values all the time.

challenge at the stadium.

COLIN: Kevin and Gurleen haven't been the most

trustworthy in this race, but with six teams left,

we'll do what we have to do to make sure that

we're not eliminated at this point, hey.

So, now we have to make up some more ground.
