Peter Pan fired the gun.

Episode 18

Why did you do it?

Why did you do it?

I am going to kill you!

Hands up.

Hands up, you bastard!

What are you waiting for, Team Leader Seo?

He is the one who killed your father.

Fire.

Quickly.

Fire and kill him.

Father.

Father.

Father.

Father, wake up.

Father.

You can't die.

Father, you can't die!

No... Father.

Father!

Your sister...

became the predator hunting down monsters like you.

Hands up.

Hands up, you bastard!

Boss, is everything alright?

If Seo Mi Soo is really my sister...

then I'm sure the CIS has a report on it.

Yes.

I will check out Hwang Woo Hyun's computer.

Father.

Why is your body so cold? Why is it so cold?

This is General Hwang Dal Soo house.

Peter Pan attacked and killed a man.

Send an ambulance and investigators over here.

Chairman Park is really arrogant.

Really.

Back to the topic.

The scale of X-City is really huge.

General Hwang,

what if he gets full control over the Marine Tourism Resort?

Don't say that.

That is our last trump card.

We must fight for it no matter what.

I staked my life on this business.

I definitely believe in you, General Hwang.

I am just a little worried, so don't take it seriously.

Yes, it's me.

Seo Tae Jin is dead, father.

What about Peter Pan?

Seo Mi Soo wanted to arrest him, but failed.

Failed again?

Yes.

Does he know Seo Mi Soo is his sister?

I told him already.

Then does Detective Seo know that Choi Kang Ta is her brother?

Not yet.

Then she thinks Peter Pan killed her father.

Yes.

The gun has his fingerprints.

The police will not doubt it.

What is the relationship between the suspect and the victim?

The deceased Seo Tae Jin...

was father of Detective Seo Mi Soo, who was investigating the Peter Pan Case.

Disappear.

This is my last warning.

There won't be a next time.

I want you to book a flight to Hawaii for next Monday.

No, just one way ticket.

I am not coming back.

Vivian.

Is this the truth?

What do you mean Hawaii?

Are you really leaving me?

President Jang.

Then what about my proposal?

Didn't you say you were going to think about it?

This matter can not be solved by your plea, President Jang.

I wasn't joking around.

I really meant what I said.

The thought of you leaving...

makes my heart stop.

Vivian, I...

can't live without you.

Vivian, when I heard the news of your departure...

it felt like the whole world was collapsing and a hole was forming in my heart.

Please, don't leave me again.

If you must go,

please, kill me before you go.

Vivian, I can't let you go.

I will treat you very well.

Really, I will treat you very well.

Peter Pan, who was previously thought to be dead, appears again.

He killed an innocent man and is causing fear among the citizens.

Seo Tae Jin, who was killed by Peter Pan today...

That is too scary.

Bo Bae, if that is the truth,

how do we know he won't appear in front of you?

If he appears, you must inform the police immediately.

Understand?

Why aren't you answering?

You still have some feelings for him?

Mom.

He is not someone who would do that.

Are you crazy?

Why would you side with a murderer of all people?

Just thinking of it gives me goosebumps.

The fact that I ate with a murderer before disgusts me.

Looking from the other angle,

what the news reported might not be the truth.

It might be a frame.

Is that logical?

Which side are you on?

I'm not on anyone's side.

I cannot accept this.

Even though I have no idea how she got involved with that man...

it must not happen again.

Help me out, Teacher Hong.

From now on, keep an eye on her and don't let her step of out the house.

I am counting on you.

Yes, understood.

My head.

All these worries are making my head hurt.

He is really not that type of a person.

You have to believe in him.

I believe in him.

I believe in him.

Thank you.

I am Detective Seo Mi Soo from the Seoul police station.

Boss.

This is the information from CIS's computer.

It's a DNA result report from the National Research Lab.

Seo Mi Soo's and Seo Tae Jin's DNA are in 99% incompatible.

Which means they are not related.

But look at the next page.

Seo Mi Soo's and Boss's DNA are completely compatible.

Boss, you've found your sister.

Hello.

Team Leader Seo, the investigation team results about the gun left at the crime scene came out.

We found Peter Pan's finger prints.

The bullets match as well.

I got it.

Team Leader, where are you?

Are you okay?

I'm okay.

I am on my way.

Peter Pan?

After killing my father...

you come to take my life, too?

Be brave and remove your mask!

Are you alright?

Exactly as I expected.

Something bad would have happened if I arrived a little later.

How did you come here?

Because I understand him.

I thought he would target you while you were vulnerable.

My intuition was right.

Thank you for this time.

It was nothing.

To be honest, the fault is mine.

I was there at the scene,

but I was not able to protect your father.

I should have tried my best in stopping him.

I feel very bad.

No.

This is not your fault.

Peter Pan is a psychopath.

I don't know how many more people he will kill.

I will hunt him down.

I will definitely catch him.

I swore in front of my father's body I would.

Detective Seo.

Even though I am not an agent anymore, I am going to help you.

I have a way to capture him.

He is desperately looking for his sister.

We just have to make use of that.

Sister?

Is it Choi Kang Hee?

Isn't she dead?

That guy believes she is still alive.

Why?

I already know that he's hacked into my computer.

If I make use of that to leak the information out,

he will surely take the bait.

Let him think that you're Choi Kang Hee.

What?

Make it seem like Seo Tae Jin raised Choi Hae Ryong's daughter.

So I should pretend to be Choi Kang Ta's sister?

Boss.

Hwang Woo Hyun is planning to trick Boss's sister.

A man wearing Peter Pan's mask attacked Detective Seo Mi Soo.

Then Hwang Woo Hyun saved her.

So it was Hwang Woo Hyun's doing.

Yes.

He's using the fact that he saved her,

and I think he's coming up with some sort of a scheme.

I will to keep an eye on them.

Great work.

Everything is going according to the plan.

The progress is very smooth.

Detective Seo is looking for Peter Pan.

Is that so?

This is going to be great fun to watch.

She doesn't even know she is really Peter Pan's sister,

and is filled with rage.

In the end, it has become a fight between the siblings.

In order to lure him to take the bait...

I plan to use Jin Bo Bae also.

Are you serious?

I heard you fancy that reporter a lot.

Right now,

I have no free time to think of other things.

Choi Kang Ta's life...

is my priority, father.

Good.

No wonder you are my son.

You have to keep your head in order to accomplish anything.

Those who are trapped in personal feelings...

will never be successful.

Your father has been sitting in a wheelchair...

for the past 15 years.

Do you know why?

Because compared to my physical body, my reputation is more important.

Who's there?

Show your face.

Peter Pan.

Hwang Dal Soo.

Considering the crimes you committed...

don't you think you've lived far too long?

Peter Pan.

You're probably wearing a bulletproof vest, right?

Although my son Woo Hyun aimed for your heart,

I will fire at your head.

Will you be able to survive my shot?

You will know after you shoot.

Don't waste your energy.

For the next 5 minutes, you won't be able to lift even a finger.

Father.

Are you sleeping?

Father, are you sleeping?

You should stop drinking too. Go back and rest.

Yes.

Rest well, father.

What I'm about to say right now,

remember it well.

My sister Kang Hee.

Don't touch her. If anything happens to my sister,

at that moment...

I will tell the whole world about your crimes.

The murder of my parents,

The murder of Korea's Minister of Justice by Jang Yong and Jang Ho,

how you fooled citizens of Korea...

by hiding your perfectly able legs.

Also, the murder of Seo Tae Jin by Hwang Woo Hyun.

If anything happens to my sister...

I will immediately...

allow your ugly secrets...

to be known to the whole world.

Convey my message to your son, Woo Hyun as well.

Don't worry.

You will be back to normal in 10 seconds.

Peter Pan!

What? That guy got the edge on you, General Hwang?

Cool down, take a seat.

That lunatic.

No.

He really acts as if our houses are his house.

The whole house is under the security surveillance...

yet not even one alarm bell rang.

This...

Even if we hide ourselves in our own homes,

we don't know whether he'd sneak in or not.

This is too much. That means that I can't even sleep comfortably in my own home.

Till the day this guy is captured,

am I suppose to hide in the wardrobe or what?

But his sister is in our hands.

That guy will not dare to do anything stupid.

This really means that...

we cannot touch that guy's sister, right?

Actually, I...

called many times already.

I had a lot of things to do.

Sunbae.

You lied to me, didn't you?

In order to lure Michael out.

From the start you said his sister might be alive...

that is a lie too, right?

Peter Pan's sister is alive.

Is that true?

You know her, too.

Someone I know?

Detective Seo Mi Soo.

What?

What did you say?

Does that even make sense?

It is the truth.

The truth was right in front of us.

That is too hard to believe.

How could that be?

Jin Bo Bae.

Michael knows about it, too.

Michael knows too?

You can ask him yourself...

if you have the chance.

And also...

ask him this,

why did he kill Seo Tae Jin?

For the past 25 years, he took care of Seo Mi Soo.

And Michael killed him.

I was there to witness the whole event.

Did he kill him knowing Seo Mi Soo is his sister,

or...

did he kill him because he saw him as the one who caused his parents death?

And if not that,

is it his murderer instinct to kill senselessly?

Sunbae.

That is enough.

Bo Bae.

I am no longer able to do work as a CIS agent.

Peter Pan framed me.

My dream,

my reputation,

I lost everything.

What I really can't take is the fact that...

that guy is still killing in Korea.

He's even targeting innocent citizens...

with his gun.

Jin Bo Bae.

Do you still want to stand on his side?

You still don't believe what I say?

Then go and find him...

and ask him yourself.

Yes, Mr. Chairman.

All thanks to you, B Island project ended very smoothly.

Thank you very much.

Yes.

Let's have a meal together next time.

Yes, that's all.

Who did you say you are eating with just now?

Are you watching me now?

Afraid I will escape to America?

No, no.

It is not like that.

I'm just saying, all men are wolves with the exception of me.

Don't worry too much.

I am a fox that can outrun those wolves.

What bring you here?

Oh, right.

I have very urgent news to tell you, Vivian.

Something regarding Michael King.

No, don't feel uneasy.

I was afraid Vivian might feel uneasy.

So I am telling you in advance.

I'll whisper it in your ear.

Just say it.

There is only the two of us here.

Oh, if that's the case,

regarding Michael King...

we found his sister.

What did you say?

Regarding my sister,

how much do you know?

But the thing is...

she is someone we know.

She's just like her brother, very ruthless.

Who is it?

Say it quickly.

Yes, yes. She is...

that policewoman who put me in jail, remember?

Seo Mi Soo.

It's Seo Mi Soo?

Yes. Did you watch the news, Vivian?

Regarding Detective Seo's father,

Michael is the one who shot and killed him.

But by a twist of fate,

at that very moment Detective Seo...

suddenly appeared at the crime scene.

How is that possible?

The sister he has been searching for 25 years,

they meet under such circumstances.

Well.

He does kill people like it's normal, anyway.

This cannot be true.

He never hurts innocent people.

What are you talking about? I really don't understand.

President Jang.

I am sorry.

I am a little tired today.

Please, leave me for today.

If that's the case we can go to a suite in our hotel.

I can give you massage to relax a bit.

President Jang!

Right. I guess it's not the best time for that.

Yes. Vivian, you're really attractive when you play hard to get.

Women who don't do that are scentless roses.

I'm leaving.

I get it, I get it.

Bye.

Detective Seo Mi Soo...

is actually Michael's sister.

Excuse us, guys.

Sit down.

Actually... I was going to contact you.

I am really sorry about your father.

Let's just get to the point.

I am... Choi Kang Hee.

Peter Pan's... No, I mean...

Choi Kang Ta's...

long lost sister.

I am... really confused right now.

I want to meet him, as soon as possible.

Reporter Jin,

help me to meet him.

My brother,

Choi Kang Ta.

Grandfather.

Yes?

You're able to contact Michael, right?

Why?

I really need to meet him.

Michael's sister has been found.

What?

His sister wants to see him.

Oh, really? Is that true?

I'm going to kill you!

Michael.

Teacher Hong told me that you'd be here.

Have you fully recovered?

I've been very worried about you.

Today...

I went to see Detective Seo.

Detective Seo Mi Soo...

is your sister, isn't she?

How did you find out?

Detective Seo knows as well.

She knows that you're really her brother.

Detective Seo...

is feeling really confused.

What happened with Detective Seo's father?

It wasn't you, right, Michael?

I understand.

I believe you, Michael.

That man...

did raise and take care of Detective Seo.

Whatever happened,

you owe Detective Seo an explanation.

She is your sister, Michael.

Detective Seo...

would like to see you, as well.

Meet with her.

Clear up the misunderstanding.

This is a sister wanting to see her older brother.

[Seoul Police]

Team Leader.

This seems to be a bouquet for you.

Wow, who is it from?

Be quiet.

[Today, in the afternoon, 3 p. m. In front of Son Yu Do Park. ]

In front of Son Yu Do Park.

What is it?

Why do you suddenly look so serious?

You guys head over to the National Research Lab and see if you can find anything.

Right now.

Yes.

Alright.

Ah yes, Team Leader Seo.

He's gotten in touch.

He's taken the bait.

3 p. m. this afternoon at the Son Yu Do Park.

He might get suspicious,

so go alone.

I understand.

I feel honored to be able to meet Director Michael King today.

You're sure he'll be here?

Oh, of course... of course.

Those men are neither from the police nor from the Central Intelligence.

Hwang Woo Hyun's brought at least 20 killers.

Abort.

Alright.

When will Director King arrive?

Ah, he's rushing over right now.

This is an important meeting and he dares to be late?

Please, wait a little more. He'll be here.

My apologies.

I am sorry.

I know I am really late.

My apologies.

Hello.

It seems he found out it's a trap and hadn't come.

We'll need to cancel.

We'll wrap it up for today. Prepare to abort mission.

X City will surpass cities such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

It will become the new financial hub of East Asia.

It will be responsible for bringing new investors from all over the globe...

and creating a truly international city.

This is our goal.

The construction of a new international airport and mapping of new flight paths...

will bring many benefits to investors from all around the world.

That's correct.

Director Michael King,

what kind of city layout do you think would be most suitable?

I believe the design of the third map would be best.

[X-city Urban Design]

X City is surrounded by the sea and we should use the water to our advantage.

If we plan and use this design carefully, we could build an immense city on water.

We believe in Director King's choice.

We heard about your capabilities.

Paris, New York, Manhattan, and other international cities...

have acknowledged your capabilities.

This is the reason why we invited you here.

You think much too highly of me.

The Marine Tourism Resort...

can only be handled by private firms.

Yes, I understand.

This is the perfect opportunity to develop this area into a marine paradise.

We will give Director Michael and Chairman Park a very high score...

No.

I'd still like this to be a fair competition.

I've heard that there are many outstanding entrepreneurs in Korea.

However, if we are selected...

from the beginning till the end, seeing it as a good service to our nation,

we will give this project all that we've got.

The X City committee believes in your capabilities.

Hwang Dal Soo and Jang Yong can put in all the effort they want,

but by using just normal methods, they could never win.

I've done the investigation, as you asked.

Hwang Lim and Yong Bi have gotten to where they are today...

by scamming consumers along with contractors.

If they try to take the X City project on, they will regret it later.

We can't hand such a good business over to them.

I trust only you, Mr. Chairman.

He chose the place.

Of course he did his surveillance first.

It was my mistake.

I told you it was all unnecessary.

He really thinks that I'm his younger sister.

I just needed to be there alone.

Detective Seo,

do you really believe you could do it alone?

Look here Hwang Woo Hyun!

Just who...

who do you take me for?

That man killed my father. He is my enemy.

Why do you think I kept it from my team and went there alone?

I want to kill him personally!

Do you understand?

If you're just going to complicate matters,

forget about it all.

I'll do it on my own.

Alright.

I admit that this was my fault.

However,

you can't do it alone.

Here.

It's a GPS.

That guy will definitely keep trying to meet with you.

You should keep it on you at all times.

If he does appear, turn it on.

Then I will be able to locate you right away.

If he tries to contact you again,

tell him that you'd meet at the Han River.

How could the shares in Hwang Lim Group reach this state?

How do you expect me to trust you with my investment!

Analysts have determined that the downtrend is temporary.

Temporary?

What is he saying? Why is he so angry?

The shares of our company took a sudden plunge.

Why?

I don't know. It's never been like that before.

Dad, if this Japanese changes his mind,

isn't our joint project going up in smoke then?

How would I win Vivian back?

Oh, you're too noisy! Shut up!

What are you going to do?

Hwang Lim Financial. Hwang Lim Investments.

All related investment portfolios are in our hands.

It wouldn't be a problem if we have to use a couple of billions.

Alright.

Since we've prepared well, executing the plan shouldn't pose any problems.

Boss, Manager Kim is really a professional.

But of course!

My skills pale in comparison to his.

Oh, but why did you pick a person like me to topple the Hwang Lim Group?

Trustworthy and experienced fund managers aren't hard to find.

I trust your abilities.

I'm sure that's not the only reason.

I also heard that you really hate Hwang Dal Soo, as well.

I'm guessing that's closer to the truth.

Alright, then.

I'll hedge my bets and stake my life on it, Boss.

If this situation doesn't recover soon, I'm withdrawing all my investments.

Chairman Yamamoto.

Please, calm down.

Oh, Kim Ji Won.

Oh, Manager Kim Ji Won!

You need to ask for him.

2 years ago, the shares at Tokugawa Group took a major plunge, as well.

I'm not sure who employed him but someone brought a fund manager to counteract that challenge.

He was the one who solved everything.

Who did you just mention?

Where is he now?

He's taken the bait.

Hello?

Oh, Chairman Yamamoto!

Yes!

Right now?

Where?

The Chairman's room at Hwang Lim Group?

Yes, yes.

Yes. Thank you! I understand.

Current value, nine thousand won.

It's now at ten percent.

Okay, piece of cake.

So... shall we begin?

It's 2:55 p. m.

It's almost 3 p. m.

It's been like that for too long.

Before it goes down further,

we need to sell all that we can.

We can't do that.

We've got to show them that we are the major stockholders.

This is a battle strategy of strength.

There are two minutes left.

Please, have a look.

The other side has started to sell.

It's good now.

Huh?

Bravo! You're the man, Manager Kim.

Well done!

He's a genius! Genius!

Thank you, Manager Kim!

You've saved us all!

Oh no, it was nothing.

Michael.

Although I knew that this day would come,

I'm still afraid that this is just a dream, Michael.

What have you been doing all this time?

What my brother and father have been saying about the news on TV...

and Woo Hyun has been talking about...

those are all lies, aren't they?

Why has everyone been smearing your reputation?

Jang Mi,

I see that you're not the least bit afraid of me.

I don't believe anything that anyone is saying.

When you love someone,

you have to trust that person 100%.

Michael, to me you're still the same Michael King.

Just like what you've said,

I've been framed.

Chairman Jang is mistaken about me, as well.

What do you mean by that, Michael?

Let me clear up all the misunderstandings for you.

What should I do?

Please, tell me how, Michael.

Thank you for believing in me.

Today, I'll just see you and go.

Promise me, Michael.

Say that you won't leave me again.

Jang Mi.

Yes, Michael?

Will you do as I say?

Yes. I'll do whatever you ask me to do.

This sad expression that you carry now...

it doesn't suit you.

Return to your former life and go back to the company.

Live a happier life.

If I do this,

you'll meet with me again?

Just like before, you'll come look for me?

That's right.

It's a promise, right?

Michael.

Please, don't abandon me.

You know how much I love you.

That guy, Manager Kim seems very capable.

It seems like he invested Yamamoto's money well and it has had good returns.

The only thing that we can use right now to beat Chairman Park, is money.

Investing one to two trillions, it's not going to be enough?

This special new type of a district is being created in Korea.

Such money is never going to be enough.

All the shares in Hwang Lim and Yong Bi Group,

let Manager Kim manage them all.

All the shares of Yong Bi Group as well?

If we don't accomplish this,

you'll never be able to recoup what you lost from the B Island project.

Understand?

Yes, Mr. Chairman.

Oh?

Oh, Woo Hyun is here.

Are you here to pick your father up?

Yes.

I'll take my leave, then.

Hello!

Oh, what's up with you today?

You were acting like a lifeless person earlier.

Did something good happen?

You seduced a man, didn't you?

Jang Ho!

Jang Mi.

Yes?

You haven't by any chance seen Michael King?

Who? Michael King?

Oh, the man that you killed?

How would I meet a person that's already dead?

He's been around killing people again, haven't you already know that?

I didn't know.

Have a safe travel, sir.

This little brat.

Ha, really...

Team Leader, this has just been received.

Who sent it?

The sender didn't leave a name.

[Police Officer involved in smuggling case commits suicide with family during investigation]

[Illegal Drug Smuggling Regulatory Cooperation Memorandum]

[Caller: 7th Division Military Police Lieutenant Hwang Dal Soo, Receiver: Dongdaemun Police Sergeant Choi Hae Ryong]

What's this? Defendant Hwang Dal Soo?

The Army Detective investigating the smuggling case with Choi Hae Ryong was Hwang Dal Soo?

It actually was Hwang Dal Soo?

Hwang Woo Hyun's father, General Hwang Dal Soo?

[Adoption Declaration]

Oh, aren't these Choi Kang Ta's American adoption documents?

[Family Register (Removals and Family members included)]

And these are your father's identification documents.

As well as my birth certificate.

Let's go.

We'll talk somewhere quiet.

Detective Seo Mi Soo.

Why did you kill my father?

I'm asking you, why did you kill my father?

Kang Hee.

I...

I...

should I tell you how my father and I lived?

I was grateful...

to have such a good father.

He was understanding and warm.

He was the kind of a father that would have done anything for his daughter.

And because of that, I studied harder.

And I am trying my best.

Just to make my father happy,

I promised him a comfortable life one day.

But in the end...

In the end...

I can't fulfill that promise because of you.

There's no way I can fulfill this promise, now.

You said you're here to meet your sister Choi Kang Hee?

Well, I'm here to meet the man who killed my father, Peter Pan.

There's no way you're going to escape this time.

Don't come any closer.

Don't move!

I'm going to shoot!

I will shoot!

Kang Hee.

The guy has sent a copy of the DNA report to Detective Seo.

You have to make it seem like he died in a shootout with his sister.

Jang Mi is missing again.

With your legs working perfectly well,

you've had the gall to pretend to be a national hero and lived as a hero all this while?

Jin Bo Bae or whatever her name is,

your daughter is going to look for you.

He even lied to a friend of 40 years.

Who else could he not lie to?

What?

You lost him?

Detective Seo seems to have lost a fair bit of weight.

At last I understand why Peter Pan...

attacked you, Chairman Hwang.
