JON: ...used their Express Passes in a quest for first.

KATIE: Tiny Taylor!

But it was the wrestlers, Taylor and Katie...

SFX: [Match bell] JON: ...who came out on top.

JON: You're team #1. KATIE: Yes! [Screaming]

NICOLE: I mean, if you guys randomly get there

before us, I mean, don't put us on.

GURLEEN: We're not gonna go against you.

A Double Pass made Double Trouble see déjà vu.

GURLEEN: Put the twins up.

KEVIN: Yeah, it's the only thing we can do.

JON: As they felt played by Kevin and Gurleen yet again.

NICOLE: You guys put us? That's low, that's shady.

-No, it's not! -You go for your one friend?

GURLEEN: They're our competitors first,

our friends second.

NICOLE: So frustrating.

MATT: I'm sure his knees are hurting a lot.

JON: Now, six teams remain as they race to win

the first ever 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV RS...

A trip for two around the world from Expedia...

JON: This is the Elora Gorge,

in the heart of southern Ontario.

Teams have now crossed the halfway point

in a race to win it all,

on the adventure of a lifetime...

on The Amazing Race Canada.

And here, on the traditional and unceded territory of

Mississauga Anishinaabeg,

and the historic home of the Huron Wendat,

teams will begin the 7th leg of the race.

KATIE: It feels great to be starting this next leg

in first place.

We've got this momentum. We want to keep it rolling.

TAYLOR: Okay, Route Info.

"Take the train to Montreal, Quebec.

Once there, make your way to Montreal Trudeau

International Airport and search the main terminal

for your next clue."

TAYLOR: We're going to Montreal!

Tensions are definitely gonna be a little high.

We put Kevin and Gurleen up on the pass board.

KATIE: No hesitation. There you go.

And, they put Lauren and Nicole up on the pass board.

And, it's now just like a whole mess, but...

as long as we stay ahead of everyone,

it doesn't matter.

-Let's go, we're ready. -Let's go, buddy.

MICHAEL: Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi.

AMARI: The prize is getting closer and closer,

you know, I can smell it.

MICHAEL: So we want to make sure that we're not

helping teams as much as we have.

GURLEEN: What is it, guys?

AMARI: Pineapple -basil far left.

MICHAEL: It's easier if you take your gloves off, girls.

OLIVIA: Thank you so much.

MICHAEL: What we've got to do this leg of the race

is just stay locked in.

I have been to Montreal before.

-It'll be alright. -Another first for us.

MICHAEL: Except I don't speak French.

LAUREN: We are headed to Via Rail.

NICOLE: To go to Montreal, Quebec!

LAUREN: We have finished 5 legs in second,

one leg in third,

so we are definitely aiming to finally get

that first place finish.

KATIE: That last leg-

TAYLOR: How did you guys find it?

NICOLE: Kevin and Gurleen putting us up on the board

was really just like taking away a potential like

hard-earned win for us.

It was really not gonna save them.

KATIE: But they probably did it for the reason,

the fact that you guys had an Express Pass, right?

NICOLE: Yeah.

KEVIN: Ooh, you're serving today.

GURLEEN: Do I look good? KEVIN: You look really hot.

GURLEEN: Does my body look good?

KEVIN: Yeah, it really does.

KEVIN: We have been a little messy this competition.

Teams have been very heated at us, around us.

The energy has been intense.

MICHAEL: Let's go find a seat.

KEVIN: But the relationship that matters

in this competition is this one.

GURLEEN: Hi, everyone! KEVIN: Hello.

GURLEEN: Hi.

KEVIN: [Awkward laugh]

So there was a couple of passes yesterday.

KATIE: I'll just say that we'll own up to it.

GURLEEN: You guys passed us? Okay.

KEVIN: Fair enough. Thanks for admitting it.

GURLEEN: It totally makes sense.

You guys are just playing the game.

You guys want to win, it's all good, like,

we're not gonna hold a grudge. It's fine.

MATT: Did you guys pass anyone?

KEVIN: We did pass someone. Yes, we did.

LAUREN: Your so-called friends.

TYSON: Ooh. COLIN: Oh my.

GURLEEN: We're just playing the game.

NICOLE: It's like fool us once, whatever.

Shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.

And that's how just it felt like a stab in the back.

GURLEEN: The only thing that's going through my mind

as Lauren and Nicole are talking is, honestly,

like when I'm gonna see my dog next?

Honestly, like you guys are playing an emotional game,

so play your emotional game.

We're playing a strategic game.

Be emotional. It's fine, let it out.

NICOLE: I mean, it is what it is.

We're gonna do our thing, but yeah.

SFX: [Train horn & bell ringing]

MICHAEL: Montreal. KATIE: Woo!

TAYLOR: Montreal, here we come!

JON: All teams are traveling on the same train

over 600 kilometres northeast

from Guelph to Montreal.

Once arrived, they'll make their way to

Montreal Trudeau International Airport,

and search the main terminal for their next clue.

SFX: [Train horn] KEVIN: The train, baby.

TYSON: Dude, I've spent a lot of time on trains traveling.

Trains definitely allow you to slow it down.

MICHAEL: This race brings so much emotion,

so any time you get to relax and chill, you take it.

TYSON: We're down to six teams and, obviously,

the pressure is really, really high.

There's no room for error.

We've got to make sure that we're doing things correctly,

and allow other teams to make the mistakes.

TYSON: Let's have some of that Quebec poutine.

[Laughing]

COLIN: This is my first time ever on a train.

MATT: No trains in Newfoundland.

COLIN: None. We're so excited to be able to

travel across Canada together.

Matt and I have been friends for 16, 17 years now.

Matt was like my first like buddy who, you know,

I came out to and, you know, like that was

one of the hardest things for me in my life.

The last thing you wanted is to have people that

you love treat you differently

based solely on who you're attracted to.

MATT: I hated that he felt like it had to be

a big weight to come to me,

but I'm happy that he did it and, you know,

we got instantly closer after that.

COLIN: Everyone deserves to have a friend like Matt.

It's gonna be awesome.

SFX: [Train horn]

MICHAEL: Taxi, taxi, taxi! TYSON: Get there! Get there!

TAYLOR: Katie, right here, right here!

KEVIN: Baby, baby, come!

MICHAEL: We're gonna go to the airport, my man.

NICOLE: Taxi! MATT: Taxi!

COLIN: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hop in.

Airport, please, quick, fast, fast, fast, please.

If we can get to the airport terminal in first or second,

that would be huge for us.

LAUREN: So we're heading to the departures

in the Montreal airport.

TYSON: We're racing to the airport.

No idea where all the teams are right now.

MICHAEL: The race is back on full swing.

Here we go.

KATIE: Fast as possible would be great.

KEVIN: A bunch of teams got ahead of us, but it's okay.

Just keep racing, and we're on our way.

MICHAEL: It's in the main terminal.

COLIN: Awesome. Thank you so much.

You are the man. Go, go, go.

LAUREN: The escalator. It's there, Nicole!

COLIN: Come on, let's go. LAUREN: Route Info.

TYSON: "Straighten up and fly right."

JON: Here at AviaSim, teams will step onto

the flight deck of this flight simulator,

and safely land an Airbus A320.

The first three teams to do so will

earn themselves a place on the first of two buses,

departing for the city of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.

PILOT: You guys have any flying experience?

COLIN: None. MATT: No.

COLIN: It definitely feels like we're in

a real-life video game.

So here's your instructions on what you need to do.

You've got to put the landing gear down

before you touch down on the ground.

COLIN: Matt and I are gamers.

In video games, you have to be able to

communicate with your teammate.

COLIN: So where is this runway?

The runway's over there. Do you see it?

-I think so. -Alright, we're dropping.

COLIN: Okay, bring the flap down to three.

MATT: Yeah. Pull up a little, thrust down.

[Screeching]

COLIN: Brake.

MATT: Brake. Let's go. We're on the runway.

COLIN: I think that's a landing.

PILOT: Congratulations, guys. COLIN: Thanks, buddy!

COLIN: That got us on bus #1 for tomorrow, which is huge.

MATT: Yeah, we're stoked.

Is this doable for people with non-flying experience?

I guess we'll see, huh?

SFX: [Alert chiming]

NICOLE: Up a bit. Up, up, up. Lauren, up.

SFX: [Impact]

KATIE: Where's the runway? Is this it here?

TAYLOR: Oh, I think we passed it, man.

KEVIN: We're gonna try to land it right here on this,

on this runway.

GURLEEN: I think you're in a parking lot.

KEVIN: So close.

NICOLE: We just need to make sure

we line up exactly on the runway.

Okay. So I should bring it down a bit?

Yeah. SFX: [Screeching]

PILOT: You passed.

LAUREN: Second spot on bus #1.

Double Trouble, baby.

MICHAEL: So, there's one more spot on the bus.

This'll be the final one.

Let's fly this thing, baby.

We've got to start rolling down though probably, huh?

Now we've got to line up.

MICHAEL: Yeah, lining up, lining up.

TYSON: We've got to start cutting speed.

♪ [Suspenseful] ♪

I think you guys earned your wings this evening.

-Congratulations. -Thank you, sir.

AMARI: Oh my god, they're done.

MICHAEL: We grabbed that final spot on the bus.

TYSON: Goose and Maverick out. MICHAEL: [Laughing]

JON: All teams are traveling 140 kilometres east to

Trois-Rivieres on two buses arriving 15 minutes apart...

at Ranch Dupont.

[Camel grunting]

For almost a decade, the Dupont family

have been providing sanctuary

for rescued animals of all kinds.

Teams will need to feed these cuddly camels

to receive a key to the first ever

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVRS

that'll unlock their next clue.

-[Camel grunting] -That's not food, buddy.

NICOLE: They're kind of chill.

[Laughing]

If we kiss it, will it turn into Prince Charming?

[Laughing]

MATT: Good boy. Ah!

COLIN: I grabbed a little camel keychain that

I'm gonna trade in for a set of keys.

MICHAEL: Hey, buddy.

Hey, thanks for the Chevrolet.

[Camel grunting]

Let's go, Tys.

TYSON: Bye, guys. It's empty.

It's empty. [Laughing]

LAUREN: Okay. COLIN: Go, go, go.

MICHAEL: Ooh, Detour off the bat.

LAUREN: "Detour. Paper Jam or Poetry Slam."

JON: In Paper Jam,

teams will need to make their way to the

Musee Borealis overlooking the St. Maurice River.

Here, teams will make paper the old-fashioned way.

Racers will need to make one piece of paper that,

when dry, is strong enough to hold this weight.

Then, they'll drive across town and deliver

a package of paper to Le 507 where

Where, Marianna will give them their next clue.

For Poetry Slam,

teams will need to make their way to Parc Champlain

that plays host to the world famous

Festival International de la Poesie.

Teams will choose one of three love poems

written in one of three languages-

Portuguese, Romanian or Arabic.

Using an audio recording for guidance,

racers will memorize an excerpt from their poem

in English, French, and its original language.

This challenge will draw upon those words that they saw,

as each team works dead fast to make sure...

they ain't last. Ha-ha-ha!

COLIN: Matt, buddy, I'd say Paper Jam

is gonna be very delicate,

but I think we have pretty good memories.

Do you want to try the poetry?

MATT: Yeah, let's try.

LAUREN: So we are picking Poetry Slam, baby!

"...with one of you reciting the original language

while the other recites the French translation."

MICHAEL: No. TYSON: Paper?

MICHAEL: Yeah. [Laughing]

[Camel groaning]

MICHAEL: Oh yeah, we're right in here.

AMARI: Oh, this guy's hungry.

MICHAEL: [Laughing]

KATIE: You are so cute. Ooh.

GURLEEN: Back. Okay, he's a little aggressive.

[Camel grunting]

-You want to make paper? -Yeah.

TAYLOR: I'm thinking Paper Jam.

KATIE: Okay, let's do it. TAYLOR: Okay.

KEVIN: Let's go.

GURLEEN: We're gonna go to the Poetry Slam.

KEVIN: This car is sick. Electric, it's the future.

GURLEEN: Seems really cool, baby.

But right now, I'm very busy into the maps.

TYSON: A 15-minute head start is huge.

If we can get to the paper making first,

that's a real big advantage.

MICHAEL: Borealis. There it is.

TYSON: We're here to make paper.

MICHAEL: Okay.

For one sheet of paper,

start by thoroughly mixing the pulp in the basin.

MICHAEL: To make paper,

we have to make a solid consistency,

and then we have to grab our screen,

bring it out so there's an even set of pulp

along the screen.

It looks like lint out of the dryer.

"And then, use a sponge to gently remove the

excess water by pressing down on the screen."

How much water do we need to get rid of?

TYSON: Trial and error.

MATT: What are we searching for?

COLIN: A table. Right here.

First come, first serve.

We have three different languages that

we have to remember the lines in,

and then we have to go recite them.

COLIN: Portuguese might be the easiest, ya think?

LAUREN: We have Romanian and Arabic.

NICOLE: We're doing Romanian. LAUREN: Uh-huh.

MATT: I'm gonna do the French and the English,

and he's just gonna take the difficult Portuguese one.

KEVIN: Let's smash this.

a very difficult language to learn.

but I know two languages.

but just strictly game, Michael and Tyson are tough.

This far in the race right now,

we recognize Michael and Tyson as a threat to us.

They have the most first place finishes and,

sliding under the radar at this point.

We want to see them eliminated.

AMARI: I'm just drying it off a little bit,

and then we've got to iron it.

MICHAEL: Cool. What's your paper looking like?

MICHAEL: Oh man.

It's like stuck.

We're really having a tough time

removing the paper from the screen.

We're not getting enough excess water off the pulp.

TYSON: It's so frustrating for us because we were the

first ones to arrive here, and it's taking us forever.

AMARI: Michael, Tyson,

when are you guys gonna do your check?

I remember the technique with the iron.

They're literally ironing as they'd be ironing clothes

so that it can dry quicker.

MICHAEL: We can't afford to have this one break.

to try and hit the centre, known as the button.

The team that throws their rock closest to the button

will win the Faceoff and receive their next clue.

The losing team will be forced to wait out

a predetermined penalty...

before they can continue the race.

Whenever we'd get lost,

We haven't really gone like too head on in anything.

an iconic challenge from Season 3,

and I remember it being a nailbiter.

Trying to figure this out.

Curling is massive in Newfoundland,

so we're feeling that maybe it's in our blood

and that we're gonna come in here and

we're gonna crush this competition.

MATT: Let's go, Colin.

COLIN: A little too hard.

LAUREN: I don't know how to slow it.

In this Road Block,

one racer will saddle up and master

5 physically demanding aerobatic tricks

LAUREN: I need to perform five different tricks,

and all the names of the tricks are in French,

but I actually find this kind of easy.

We're big show skiers, and we're performing honestly

similar acts on the guys' shoulders.

So, I feel I'm doing the exact same thing

as show skiing. I'm just doing it on the horse.

Okay, let me run through that again,

just to make sure I have it.

AMARI: Oh... Oh, yes, I like that.

COLIN: We're feeling a little nervous.

This is by far the most competitive and

athletic group of racers that The Amazing Race Canada

has ever had, and we're these

two regular fellas from Newfoundland.

Matt and I just want to prove we can beat these teams and

that we can win this race.

One token contains the iconic Chevrolet bowtie logo,

Teams may only carry two tokens at a time.

If they don't find two tokens with the same colour,

they will have to trade them with another team.

The first three teams to turn in their tokens will win

seats on the early train to their next destination

from CF Montreal legend, Patrice Bernier.
