Original subtitles

- Previously on

"Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,"

some crazy lady came at us with these robots

called Mechazoids. You should've seen Donnie.

He got so excited.

Leo walked us into a trap,

stuff blew up, blah, blah, blah.

I got kidnapped by a bunch of rejects

called the Purple Dragons.

Yeah, you can't make that stuff up.

A Mechazoid showed up in the middle of it,

and I-- I don't know, man,

I'd never done anything like this

without my family by my side.

But me and the Dragons teamed up

and stomped the thing.

Pretty cool if I'm being honest.

Then I stole their leader's bike

and went to save my brothers because I'm awesome.

- [squeaking]

- I'm not gonna let anything happen to us, Dad.

- I've got this.

- I'm not worried.

- Humans all seem pretty awesome.

- And even if we run into trouble,

there's nothing we can't handle together.

- [muffled screaming]

[panting]

[dramatic music]

โ™ช โ™ช

Please, please, please, please, please pick up.

[billboard chimes]

- This is April. - April! It's Donnie!

I'm in Times Square.

There's a robot chasing me, and I--

- And I wanna know why you're leaving a voicemail.

I mean, seriously, just text. Like--

- Oh, come on!

[grunts]

[screams]

- [hisses]

- Oh, crud.

โ™ช โ™ช

Ah, whoa!

[panting] - [growls]

โ™ช โ™ช

[growls]

- [grunts]

Ah, ah.

April, pick up already!

- [growls]

Ah!

Ah!

Please send help.

SOS.

No! Not-- not-- not that emoji.

Ah!

No! My phone!

- [growls]

- [screams] - [snarls]

- [grunts]

Ah!

[grunts]

OK, good.

You're still working.

Wait, wait, wait, no, no, no, don't--

oh, come on!

- [growls]

- Ah!

The subway.

- Hey, it's one of them turtles.

- Hey, can we get an autograph?

You know what? It can wait.

- [grunts]

- Hey, I'm driving here!

Actually, you know what? Go ahead.

- Come on, come on, come on, come on.

Ah! Ow!

What'd I ever do to you?

[door rattling]

[grunts]

- Mm. Oh, you tried this tofu cream cheese?

[laughs] I literally can't taste the difference.

[elevator dings]

- Uh, hey, officers.

Uh, am I happy to see you.

I got a crazy story to tell you, but, uh, I, uh--

I think I'm gonna pass out now.

[groans]

- โ™ช One, two, three, four โ™ช

[upbeat rock music]

โ™ช โ™ช

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, kid.

You're not making any sense.

- Evil robots are trying

to exterminate me and my brothers.

What is confusing about that?

I gotta get out of here.

- Maybe just start from the beginning.

- [sighs] Fine.

The beginning.

[electronic music]

โ™ช โ™ช

[tense electronic music]

[Mechazoids snarling]

- Are you even listening to me?

- What?

I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, evil robots and stuff.

- Sounds like you got a lot of feelings of inadequacy, too.

- This is an emergency.

Are you actually taking selfies right now?

I have to find my brothers.

I have to save them.

- Unbelievable.

A real live mutant right here in our station.

We're gonna be famous. - What? Come on!

And why am I handcuffed? Am I under arrest?

I can't be under arrest.

That goes on my permanent record.

- Uh, you're not under arrest per se.

- Oh, yeah, we just need to question you.

For our book.

- "Subway Cops: Mutant Edition."

- Wait, all those notes you took aren't for, like,

sending to the SWAT team?

They're for a book?

- Transportation Officers, Special Mutant Division.

[chuckles] They make the book into a movie.

Then we retire and open that cop-themed restaurant

we always talked about.

- Ah, the Cop-acabana.

- For the book jacket.

[camera shutter clicks] - Can you focus here?

We're all in danger right now.

The Mechazoid that's tracking me,

it-- it's still out there.

It's super dangerous.

- What, do you mean this thing?

Looks like some kind of fancy backs scratcher to me.

It can't hurt you.

[beeping]

- What is that?

- [snarls]

- See?

I've been telling you the whole time.

- Tase it!

- Eat hot lightning!

- [trilling]

- Uh, hey, uh, can you scoot back?

- It's not falling down.

Shouldn't it be falling down? - Shock it some more!

- Well, how do you do that? There's only one button.

- My phone's broken, so I need this. Sorry.

I'll bring it back so you can write your book.

[suspenseful music]

- [grunts] - [snarls]

- [shudders]

- [growls] - Hey!

Leave them alone. I'm the mutant here.

Come and get me. - [snarls]

- I'm certainly regretting that one.

- [roars]

- We should retire and open up the Cop-acabana right now.

- You are so right.

- [grunts]

[panting]

- [roars]

- Ah. Ah!

[grunting]

- Ah! Watch it! - Sorry.

- It's one of those mutant heroes.

- I was gonna say evil robot chasing me,

but, yeah, that, too.

- Hey, can I get a selfie?

- I know you're just following your programming,

but can we take a timeout? - [growls]

- Yeah, I didn't think so. - [screams]

[jazz music]

- Excuse me. Sorry.

- Hey!

- [growls]

- It's fine.

All good, man.

โ™ช โ™ช

- [panting]

- Mechazoid 04, your target is heading north.

Move to intercept.

- [beeping] [snarls]

- [yelps]

Gonna borrow this. Thanks.

- Hey!

Give me that back! Ah! Oh!

- Uh...

[grunts]

- [beeps slowly]

- Huh, that's what you get for not buying a ticket.

Oh, man!

Nobody's ever around to hear my sickest burns.

[soft dramatic music]

Robot?

It's got an antenna.

It must be receiving a signal.

Ah!

- Hm? - Huh?

- Oh?

[eerie music]

- What do you think you're doing, mutant?

- [gasps]

- Huh? What's going on?

- I don't know.

- Ugh, I hate commercials.

- Bishop? Is that you?

- How long do you think you can evade my Mechazoids?

They're stronger than you.

They're faster, smarter. - Yeah?

Well, if it's so smart, how did I defeat it?

- Simple. You didn't.

- [beeps]

- What the Cop-acabana?

[screams]

[grunting]

[suspenseful music]

- You really believe you can stop my machine? Huh?

The Mechazoids are self-repairing.

They're built to learn and adapt.

So whatever you do,

they'll find a way to destroy you.

I know there's more of you out there.

I'm gonna find you all.

- [grunts]

Ah, ugh.

Yeah. Yeah, do that.

Go find Rocksteady and Bebop.

You'll like them.

- [growls]

- OK, see you later.

Nice chatting with you.

Ugh. [sighs]

- [gasps] O-M-G, is that one of the turtles?

It's the one with the sticks. - He's got swords!

- Dude, it's Donatello.

- They saved the city! - Yes!

- Which one's which? - Excuse me. Sorry.

I know this is weird, but would you sign my baby?

- [chuckles] Uh, not really a great time.

See, there's a dangerous...

[metal crashing]

- [screams] - [screaming]

- Robot.

- You are the true danger here.

You cause destruction wherever you go.

- Me?

You're the one with the assassin bots

hacking into everything,

which is actually kind of cool.

You must have some insane processing power in your lab.

- You have no idea.

I could take over all the Times Square billboards

if I wanted to. - No way.

Your bandwidth must be, like, insane

to stream a video that's high res enough

for that pixel count.

- Oh, you want to talk about bandwidth?

I've been building these systems for--

wait, you're trying to distract me.

Well, it's not gonna work.

- I thought we had a good thing going.

- The only thing going is you, mutant.

- [yelps]

Ah!

- The Mechazoid is connected to my systems.

I can find you anywhere you go.

[beep]

- Wait, it's all connected.

- [roars]

- I gotta get a signal.

- Hey! Turtle, can I get a--

- No. Where's the best place to get a signal?

- What am I, the IT guy? Try the front.

- Thanks. Thanks a lot. You might want to hide.

[energetic music]

โ™ช โ™ช

- [gasps]

- Woop.

No one's allowed in here, missy.

- Uh, uh, excuse me.

Um, are you-- are you driving?

- Sure am.

Been driving this here train for the last 52 years.

- Can-- can you, you know, uh, see?

โ™ช โ™ช

[passengers scream]

- Is that someone knocking?

[computer chimes]

- OK, look, this might freak you out,

but there's a lady named Bishop,

and she's hacked into the entire subway system.

She's controlling all the screens,

and then there's-- there's this robot.

And-- and-- - [snoring]

- Uh, sir?

S-- sir?

Shouldn't you, you know, be awake?

- Huh? What? Wha--

[beeps]

- [groans] The signal keeps cutting out.

- What are you doing?

Is that-- are you actually writing code?

- Maybe.

[train horn blares]

- You seem to have some

elementary understanding of robotics.

I can only infer that you plan to upload

a new code to the Mechazoids so you can take control.

Well, it won't--

[phone ringing, vibrating]

It won't-- ugh!

- Are you seriously getting a phone call right now?

I'm sorry, is my existential struggle

for survival messing with your social calendar?

Do you need to reschedule? - Be quiet!

- No, really, it's OK.

We can do this later. - Not you. Ugh!

- Hey, did you just put me on hold?

- What? No, no, no.

Decline call!

[clears throat] Where were we, mutant?

- Just here chilling.

[beeps]

- You hacked into my network admin settings?

[beeps, chirps]

- Huh. Heck yeah, I did.

Quick tip, never get into a battle of the wits

with a mutated turtle. Ah!

- [snoring]

Oh. Well, thank you, sonny.

[switch rattling]

[straining]

- S-- sir?

[train horn blares]

[intercom chimes]

Uh, please tell me you skipped that stop on purpose.

- I didn't do anything.

I don't know what's happening.

- Bishop, is this you?

What are you doing?

- Isn't it obvious?

- No. - She's gonna crash the train.

Bishop, you can't do this.

There's people aboard.

- A small sacrifice for the good of the species.

Mutants are too dangerous to let even one of you survive.

- That's super messed up.

You're the dangerous one, not us.

And, by the way, even humans have mutations.

Try reading a book.

- That's different.

- Look, if your Mechazoids keeps searching

for anything with mutations,

they'll start targeting humans, too.

Everything mutates eventually.

- Oh, please. My Mechazoids are perfect.

They'd never hurt what they were made to protect.

- And no offense, but isn't that exactly what you're doing

right now with that train?

โ™ช โ™ช

Ah!

- OK, machine, you want to do this?

- A-ha! So it is play dead.

- Hey, mech-head, what are you waiting for?

I'm right here!

[dramatic music]

[train horn blares]

[computer chirping]

- Ugh, come on!

The signal down here is the worst.

Sir, is there an antenna on the train somewhere?

- I think they put some rabbit ears up on the top side.

- [snarls] - Oop.

No one's allowed in here, sonny.

[trilling]

What?

- Ah! Whoa!

- [gasps]

- Ah!

[screams]

[together] Sick!

- [grunts] [screams]

[grunts]

Ow.

[beeps]

[train horn blares]

Guys, this thing's trying to crash the train.

I'm trying to stop it! - Get the robot!

- Eat this! - Get him!

[chirps]

- Yes!

[grunts]

[suspenseful music]

Ah!

- No, not over there. Look at us!

- Ah! Whoa.

[grunts]

- All your so-called intelligence

can't save you, mutant.

- [screams]

โ™ช โ™ช

- [gasps]

โ™ช โ™ช

- [exhales deeply]

- Sometimes, you just have to go beast mode.

- Let's go!

[energetic music]

[screams]

Hi-yah!

[beeping]

[grunting]

โ™ช โ™ช

[distorted slow-motion yell]

[screams]

[grunts]

- Come on!

- [grunts]

[arm whirring]

[beeps slowly]

- No! No! This isn't possible.

[beeps]

- The train.

[beeps]

[train horn blares]

[passengers gasp]

[tense music]

โ™ช โ™ช

- The brakes should be working now.

- It's not working!

[train horn blares]

[passengers exclaiming]

[monitor buzzes]

[brakes screeching]

[both screaming]

[screeching]

- [whimpers] Hm?

- Oh.

- [laughs]

[beeps]

[indistinct chatter]

- Huh, unbelievable. - Stupid.

- [grunting]

[groans]

Huh. I guess beast mode does work sometimes.

Thanks, Raph.

- This thing is amazing.

What do you think it is?

- Well, it's a leg.

- Great, you're here.

I think I can track down Bishop to wherever

she's sending her signal from.

We can find her and save my brothers.

- Uh, yeah. No, we're good.

- What? You're the police. She's trying to wipe us out.

- Yeah, pretty sure we got enough material for our book,

which, you know-- - We have to be alive to write.

Uh, can we keep this?

- Give me that.

- Come on, man.

- Good luck, kid. Maybe call your mutant buddies.

Sounds like you could use some backup.

- Huh, backup.

[upbeat rock music]

โ™ช โ™ช

Hang tight, guys.

IT support is on the way.
