This is a Mo'ho, named Kiawahine.

She was a guardian.

The Aumakua of the ancient rulers of Hawaii.

The legend says she would travel the Islands

and lure evil people into the water

-and then they would die. -[laughs]

Let me get this right. So, Kekoa, you think that I saw Kiawahine.

Mm-hmm.

And you think Mo'ho, this lizard in a woman's form, killed the girl.

Well, Jason, just so you know, she had just been tried for murder.

She was just released for insufficient evidence.

Kekoa, you're talking like a crazy person.

[sighs] Jason, I'm telling you, you saw Kiawahine.

I don't know. Perhaps you're a natural cynic.

Or maybe you have difficulty with strong women.

I know how much this race means to Jessie, if you spoil it for her,

But it always starts with fish.

Every Hawaiian myth began with, ya know, some sort of truth.

So, you believe this stuff?

Your reaction time, your bone density and body fat.

When we have all these numbers,

the computer will tell us what your body can do.

So, you start off ahead, but, by the end of the bike race,

What about the run?

It doesn't matter that you can run.

You'd be too far back to catch up.

Well, then we'll just build up my biking skills.

You can lift weights all day

and never look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

You can peddle '�till the day you die

and you'll never be world class.

Try as hard as you want,

but you'll never win a race that includes biking.

You need to let your emotions rise, like those waves.

Remember how they came? First the 4 footers, then the 6 footers,

then the 8 footers. The power building like a great rage.

-[laughs] -Finally 12 ft. waves,

crashing on the rocks, relentless, angry, emotional.

-Yeah! -That's the rest of it.

And in the 2 mile swim it could mean an extra minute.

If you pulled ahead of the pack by a minute in the swim,

even if you hold your own in the bike race...
