Now, before moving on and creating office results, I just want to stop for a minute and explain the

difference between subscription and account, because we sold both these terms in the portal before.

So let's understand exactly what is subscription and what is a code.

So subscription is logical container while account is identity.

So what exactly does the subscription contain?

Well, it contains the various resources you provision in the cloud, for example, virtual machines,

databases, networks, etc. as you will see everything that you create in the cloud, you pick the subscription

8

in which they will be provisioned.

Of course you can have multiple subscription and a new one was created automatically for us when we

signed up to the actual portal or to agile in general.

So you will see that every resource is going to be contained or created in a subscription, which is

12

against the Container for Resources account, on the other hand, is the identity with which you access

13

the resources in the subscription.

So in this example, you created a new account and this account was automatically attached to the subscription.

So we can say that when we created this account in Asia, we also created a subscription.

So a new subscription was created, a new account was created and the account was attached to the subscription.

No note that a subscription can be attached to a lot of accounts.

For example, a single subscription can be used by multiple employees of an organization which all will

use it.

For example, some will create virtual machines that some will use these virtual machines, some will

21

create databases and so on.

In addition, an account also can be attached to a lot of subscription.

For example, if you will be a cloud architect, then you probably have multiple clients.

Each one will have its own subscription, so they will attach your account to the subscription and you

25

will be able to log in into the subscription that you want to work with at the moment.

So these are subscription and account.
