So we talked a lot about cloud in general, and now it's time to meet Microsoft Azure.

So Azure is Microsoft's public cloud, which was announced in October 2008 and was released in February

2010.

This is currently the second largest public cloud, as we discussed, and it's closing the gap quite

quickly.

Now, what's important to know about Azure is that when it was first released, it focused mainly on

past services and that was to counter a WSS s focus.

It was focused mainly on iOS or on virtual machines and was quite weak on the passive front.

And Azure wanted to compete with it using sophisticated and well-developed bus services.

Currently, Azure offers the largest variety of cloud services, as we will see in a few minutes.
