" Our Glamourous Time "

Episode 49

- Grace? - How is the work?

Does my seat feel cosy enough?

I have been planning to pay your a visit.

But as you can see, I am busy.

Thank you for your kindness.

I am here bearing an advice for you.

The whole issue of the magazine is covered in DP's advertorials.

It almost looks like the brochure for DP.

DP is our major client. You know this too.

Just because I was on leave...

doesn't make me ignorant about what happened here.

Between you and Peter...

Peter and I are in a mutual and normal partnership.

Our procedures go according to the operational logics.

There is no problem at all.

Why are you so nervous?

I confirmed with the treasury.

Based on the subscription fee,

you gave Peter a lot of advertorials,

even a featured issue.

Do these conform to the operational logics as well?

If you are insinuating I embezzled the money,

I welcome you to check on me at anytime.

I have no problem for the company to file a report.

Peter used Wen Da and mixed the batch with cheap buttons.

He defamed Glamorous and hired someone to trash the shop.

He even hired someone to make me fall down the stairs.

I bet all of these incidences...

are somehow be connected to you.

Those conducts are not within my job description.

Whether you are involved or not,

the truth will be out soon enough.

When everything is clear,

it won't be as simple as business schemes.

It would be crimes.

Lisa.

As you colleagues, here is a piece of advice for you.

It's not too late to put an end to this madness.

Why are you here?

I rarely see you now.

The only way is to block you.

Why do you want?

The thought of it makes me mad.

A brother that went through so much with me in so many battles...

chose to betray me at this moment.

Now that it's done,

there is no turning back for me.

I am sorry.

Li Zhi Cheng, what is wrong with you?

You said I am your brother,

but all these years I was nothing more than a sidekick to you.

Enough about the sentiments.

Without me, Wen Da would have fallen apart!

I am just working on my own career.

You have no right to stop me.

- Stop right there! - What?

- Is that the file on Glamorous? - None of your concern.

Hand it over!

Hand it over!

Li Zhi Cheng.

I have known you for years.

And because of those punches,

we are done for good.

Don't you ever come to me again.

What's wrong with the face?

Nothing, I fell.

To ease the pain.

Did you bring what I asked?

We had a deal.

I want a position in DP.

Where do you wish to go?

Hong Kong.

I will arrange for it.

He plans to use Glamorous' shops to surround DP?

Chen Zheng, that idiot.

He opened up a new online channel behind my back.

It seems like they want to go all-out with DP.

It's a head-on brawl.

But luckily, I have the plan.

I came prepared.

But a piece of advice for you.

Don't use the same cheap tricks like the buttons plot...

or hire someone to fake an allergy.

How do you know?

After years in the fashion industry, I can tell right away.

But no hassle. These have nothing to do with me now.

That bruise,

you didn't fall.

Yes.

I saw it.

I thought you are his partner, friend and even family.

I was keeping an eye on you.

To be honest,

the commotions with the cheap buttons and the allergy...

were all my plans.

But they were below my expectation.

I couldn't finish off Wen Da for good.

You can now.

You have the plan and my shares.

You can now do whatever you wish.

As for me,

I cut off all ties just to side with you.

Even the woman I love the most is leaving me.

You have the money now.

You can get any woman you want.

But there is one thing I don't understand.

We could have join hands.

Why do we have to fight each other?

I was once a mercenary.

In one of my missions,

a guy ambushed me and stabbed in the back.

And then I used my bare hands...

to strangle that fool.

At that moment, I realized something.

There is only one way to deal with enemies.

The evolution theory proposed by Darwin:

survival of the fittest.

Take your time with the files.

I am feeling a little dizzy. I am going home.

The commotions with the cheap buttons and the allergy...

are all my plans.

But they were below my expectation.

I couldn't finish off Wen Da for good.

Why didn't you dodge when I punched you?

It was an act. It had to be flawless.

But how did you know I didn't betray you?

I will always trust you.

And I know you apply the loan for Jin Yuan.

So, I knew what your next move would be.

You sold the shares to DP.

Two birds with one stone.

One, it takes the pressure off your financing.

Two, you did it to gain Peter's trust...

and get this recording as evidence.

But without your help,

the act would have been in vain.

Ever since you ordered Antelope to tail me,

I knew you have a plan.

The last part of that file are false data.

Peter will find it out soon.

Right, Jin Yuan is in a bad mood.

She is taking a flight. I don't know her destinations.

You should check on her.

I am pressing charges with this evidence.

Okay, I am going.

The evening dress you designed...

is pretty and there is no issues.

But I think the designs are too conventional.

I think you can be bolder with it.

Base on the international design concepts,

include more traditional Chinese fabrics in it.

It makes the feature of our brand more apparent.

That is what the Glamorous aims for.

Excuse me for a moment.

- Hello? - Qian.

Gu Yan Zhi got Peter's recording.

It can be our evidence for the cheap buttons and allergy incidences.

Really? This is great.

Just focus on your work. I am filing a report to the police.

Stay safe. We can talk about it tonight.

Don't worry about it.

Lisa?

I got what you couldn’t get for me.

Grace knows about us.

I am returning all the money you gave me.

You got the file now.

Hand over the video and photos.

Don't be so hasty. What did you tell Grace?

I told her nothing.

But she clearly knows you hired the man to push her down the stairs.

No way. That is impossible.

Hand over the video and photos now.

Is this what you want?

I am holding on to this.

You didn't get me the file.

So, you still need to do my biddings.

Lisa!

Lisa!

Lisa?

Hello?

I am sorry, Grace.

You must help me.

Peter is a madman. He did hire the man to push you.

But it has nothing to do with me.

I was just forced to keep it a secret.

Where are you now? We will go to you.

See you later.

Call Li Zhi Cheng now.

Hello? Where are you now?

Lisa wants to meet us. Come along.

Peter.

You got me a post so soon?

There are some problems with the file you gave me.

It can't be.

These statistics are outdated.

It can't be wrong. Don't worry.

Where are you now? I need to have a word with you.

I am at home.

I am not feeling well today. We'll talk tomorrow.

Boss, Peter is leaving with his briefcase.

I am onto him now.

I truly hope that...

you can join us in confronting Peter.

Be our witness.

I am not going with you. I just wanted the money.

I just want to secure my place in the H Group.

I never thought he can be so vile.

What if he wants to have revenge on me?

Lisa, don't be afraid.

Peter is evil.

He needs to be brought to justice.

But you are different. You can have a wonderful life.

You shouldn't go down with him.

Being our witness is the best option you have.

But if I do become your witness,

are you sure I will be safe?

Have faith in the law. It's just and fair.

Lisa, time is short.

It's all up to you now.

Let's get this over with,

Me. Peter, we have proof that...

you are involved in unlawful business conducts and intentional assault.

Please come with us for investigation.

Li Zhi Cheng, listen closely.

This is just an investigation.

I will be out of there in no time.

Are these enough for evidence?

I found the man that harmed Grace.

He is on his way to the police station.

Peter, you will pay for what you have done.

Move!

Gu Yan Zhi, what do you want?

- Where are you going? - Not your concern.

- Can you stay? - No.

Wu, get down the car.

Stay right here.

Get off the car.

Thank you.

- What's wrong with you? - Come with me.

Where are you taking me? I need to be at the airport.

I am late.

Pull over.

I told you to pull over.

Are you listening to me?

Stop the car or I'll call the police.

Slow down.

What do you want?

Where are you taking me?

Hello, Mr. Gu.

What is this place?

This is the client operation for The Designer's Shop.

What is that?

The Designer's Shop is an app that needs a lot of customers.

Aside from the initial building up,

we need resources for data maintenance and and advertisement.

Why are you telling me this?

Just to ask for my forgiveness?

I never plan to tell you what I did for you.

But now,

I might lose you if I don't tell you now.

During the initial development of Designer's Shop,

I used my house as mortgage to get the starting fund.

But then, I realized that was far from being enough.

The financing for later development is too heavy.

I had to sell my shares at Wen Da to get the money.

I sold my share to Peter and pretend to have left Wen Da...

simply because I want to approach him.

I want get the evidence of his crime for your brother.

That is the only to help Wen Da survive the threat.

Why didn't you...

tell me anything?

Jin Yuan, why would I want to tell you?

As a man,

however I fight for my success is my business.

You are the woman I love.

All you have to do is what you like.

From now on, don't hide anything from me.

We will share the burden together, okay?

Jin Yuan.

I can lose everything.

But the only thing I can never lose...

is you.

You won't lose me.

Never.

We have to make Peter believe what happened was real.

I understand what you are saying.

But I have a question.

What if...

Peter didn't see your fight from upstairs?

Your plan would have gone down the drain.

I sent Monkey to monitor his movement.

Every morning at 10.00 a.m.,

Peter would sit by the window in his office and enjoy the scenery.

It has become a routine for him.

So,

our plan would work on him.

But sadly, we couldn't make him stay long in prison.

But the evidences are enough to keep him out of the fashion industry.

He will be deported soon.

He will will face mandatory treatment from the hospital.

After all, Peter is the CEO of DP for China.

How did he end up like this?

He was once wounded on the battlefield

As the career took off, the pressure became even greater.

He suffers from mania.

Without the medications,

he would be one step away from becoming desperate.

I do welcome the foreign corporations to enter the Chinese market.

But they have to fight fair and square.

Otherwise another hundreds DPs won't be a problem.

We can be more competitive and learn from one another.

What's wrong?

You were a soldier too.

Your career is taking off as well.

Will become just like him?

Never.

I have love. I know love.

Since you know love,

I have something big to discuss with you.

What is it?

Can we delay our wedding?

- You don't want to marry me? - No.

I told you before.

Glamorous needs some advertising.

The Paris Fashion Week is around the corner.

I wish to bring Glamorous with me to a amateur contest.

But our wedding was around the same date.

So I was thinking...

if we can delay the wedding for one week?

Sure, no problem.

That's all?

What else do you need of me?

You will do everything that I ask?

Li Zhi Cheng, stand out!

Are you serious?

I am serious, just play along.

Stand out.

Yes!

Stand here.

I leave the preparation of Lin Qian and Li Zhi Cheng's wedding to you.

- Any objection? - No.

- Any problem? - No!

- Can you complete it? - Yes!

What if you fail?

I shall accept any punishment from my wife!

Okay, thank you.

At ease.

You look dashing when you agree with me.

You, should just focus on designing.

Every designer hope to be on the Paris Fashion Week.

Now, the chance has come for Glamorous.

If you became the top designer of the world,

will you leave me for someone else?

Let me think about it.

Let me think.

- Auntie, is this bed okay? - Sure.

Here.

When will Gao Lang be visiting me?

Auntie, don't worry.

Gao Lang is very capable and he has friends in Xin Bao Rui.

Our company values his service.

He is on a business trip. He won't come back anytime soon.

Don't worry, I will take care of you while he is away.

I am glad he has you as the superior.

He is very fortunate.

Auntie, have some apple.

Okay, thank you.

Is she your wife?

Yes, auntie.

Your wife is so pretty and gentle.

I wonder when will Gao Lang get a wife like her.

That would be great.

This is good.

DP sent a higher-up from America.

I know, I have met him on the ball.

Some time ago, I sent my men to investigate abroad.

We have the findings now.

Royal is DP's premium product line.

There is a big issue with the pricing.

It may be a tier one product line,

but the popularity came from publicity stunts.

The price is much higher in our country.

It's around 60% higher.

That is a big difference.

That was out of my expectations too.

Our current option to overcome the price difference...

is to use the app 'Designer's Shop' from Gu Yan Zhi and Jin Yuan.

I understand that. They have upgraded the whole app.

Function to shop on foreign platform will be added soon.

It will promote the product page of DP.

I can purchase some of DP's products with a lower price abroad.

Then, we will sell them with a discount on the app.

It can stir up their pricing on the market.

Mixing diamond with ice, this is mean.

That crone is finally gone!

Grace is coming back.

I am so glad we are finally rid of her.

She is back!

- You are back. - You are finally back!

This is such a relief.

Welcome back, Grace.

Fine, dinner is on me tonight.

Pick whatever you want!

- Thank you! - This is great!

- Thank you. - Fine, get back to work now.

Actually,

I know why you ask me out today.

We went through so much together.

Xin Bao Rui has the success today.

Whatever the case is, I need to thank you.

Don't worry.

Once you left Xin Bao Rui,

I'll make sure you are paid the credits you are due.

I truly hope you can live a better life after this.

Trust me, I will never leave Xin Bao Rui.

I asked you out today to tell you...

that no matter what happens, I won't leave Xin Bao Rui.

For me, Xin Bao Rui...

is what got me thus far.

Honest, I don't need you to give me anything.

I will stay in Xin Bao Rui.

I will do my best...

and make the company even outstanding and greater.

Do you really mean it?

Of course I mean it.

All right, stop crying now.

So, will you let me leave or not?

Cheers.

Very good is 'Très bien'.

Très bien?

Très bien.

Thank you is 'Merci'.

Merci?

So, how do I say 'I love you' in French?

Je t'aime.

- Je t'aime? - Je t'aime, it means 'I love you'.

Je t'aime.

You are here. Let me introduce you to my husband, Li Zhi Cheng.

- Hello. - Nice to meet you.

This is my French teacher.

Okay.

That's all for today.

- Bonjour. - Okay.

- That's all. - Goodbye.

Goodbye.

Je t'aime.

Je t'aime.

It means 'I love you' in French.

Je Dai Mu?

You are there for the fashion week, not a immigration.

Why do you need to learn French?

I just learned some basics.

What if I bump into some big-shots?

I can at least say something.

I might even get ourselves an opportunity.

But your teacher is far too handsome for this job.

Are you being jealous?

I can get you a blonde girl with blue eyes.

How about that?

I don't need that.

I have something to tell you.

Have a seat.

But you must promise me not to get mad.

That depends on what you tell.

To start the business with Xue Yan Twill...

and get the starting fund for Glamorous Plan,

I used my shares at Wen Da and Glamorous as mortgage.

I had a wager with your brother.

Young man.

Dare to have a wager with me?

- What is the stake? - The shares at Wen Da and Glamorous.

I will give you 200 millions.

Get Glamorous on track according to your plan just now.

If you made it, I won't get into your way again.

Failed,

and you must leave her.

You were with my brother in the study.

This is what you talked about?

One is my husband and another is my brother.

How could you be so childish?

You used my love as wager?

- I must call him right now. - Wait. Hear me out.

- Have a seat. - Fine. I will listen.

We may be married,

but your brother doesn't acknowledge my worth.

He doesn't approve our love.

I am a man.

I have my own pride.

Your brother was testing me. I had to accept the bet.

Otherwise, I lost.

We will lose this relationship too.

But I won the bet.

I can return the money to your brother at anytime.

That's what I came to tell you.

My brother did this on purpose.

You just played along with him?

Does it ever cross your mind that you might lose?

If I lost,

it would be just like what he said.

I am not worthy for you.

You brother is not just testing me.

He is worried that I might not...

provide you with the life you deserve.

He was protecting you.

Try to understand him.

Qian.

I am now capable enough...

to provide you with a happy life.

Once your brother knows this,

he will be relieved to leave you in my care.

Qian, forgive me.

I received a mission today.

As a soft preview for the latest product line of Glamorous,

I will follow these four cards...

and venture through a Glamorous Time.

Let's start the journey now!

I like that way you look with short-hair.

I love to have ice-cream with you.

Thank you for the Glamorous Time.

I love how smug and cute you are.

I love to wait for you next to a glass of wine.

I like the one and only you.

I love the days when you chased after me for the money I owed.

Chen Zheng?

Chen Ya Yi!

A new hairstyle? That is cute.

Foodaholic, I am waiting.

Hurry up. Feeling hungry?

One with less sugar, one with half sugar,

one with light sugar and one with no sugar.

I can know which to buy the next time.

These are all mine. Thank you.

She is adorable.

'The first time Chen Zheng tries to cheer a girl up'.

Yes, it is him.

This have to be him.

What is going on?

She ran away.

Watch me and boss me around all you want.

You can reject all the calls from those girls.

All those girls will be chased away!

Trust me, most of those agents are not trustworthy.

The agents might run and you'll lose the money. It's risky.

Nothing is as risky as you are!

Chen Ya Yi!

That's because I like you.

A relationship is only about the two of us.

If you like to be surrounded by girls, suit yourself.

I just want my boyfriend to hold on to my hand.

Can you understand that?

I am holding it now.

But I only want to be with you.

I want to travel the world with you.

WeChat, Weibo,

and these social apps.

I can delete all of them.

As long as you trust me.

I feel no pressure when I am with you.

You are always so cheerful and diligent in my eyes.

So,

can you be my girlfriend?

You bought four of these? Who are these for?

- Just for you. - I am...

One with less sugar, one with half sugar,

one with light sugar and one with no sugar.

I can know which to buy the next time.

I swear on my life.

If anyone ever hurt you again, I will show no mercy on them.

I realized...

it is getting harder to live without you.

The Ferris wheel is huge!

At the place I like the most, with the girl I love the most.

This feels great.
