" Our Glamorous Time "

Episode 48

Gao Lang?

Ning Wei Kai's errant boy?

A thug.

You were a security guard and you are an ex-jailer.

Don't you know that it's illegal to trespass?

I can throw you into jail anytime I want.

Tell me, what do you want to do to me?

Why did Ning Wei Kai send you here?

I came here on my own free will.

Tell me.

Are you the one who sent someone to hurt Grace?

Did you see it with your own eyes? Do you have proof?

But,

I have the proof of you stealing from my house.

I have hidden cameras all over the place.

Never thought of that, right?

I have all the evidences right here.

I'll decide whether or not you are a criminal.

But whether I'll call the police...

or let go of you...

will be on your hands.

What are you talking about?

I want Xin Bao Rui's intelligence.

You just need to provide it to me. It's as simple as that.

In your dreams! I'll never betray Ning Wei Kai!

What do we do?

- Call the police. - No, we can't.

If we can't do that, then let's go in and save him.

We can't save him. We'll only muddle up the situation.

And we'll expose our surveillance on Peter.

Let me ask you again.

Are you going to cooperate with me?

Useless man!

Hello, I want to make a report.

I have a thief in my house.

- So fragrant. - Let me serve it for you.

Alright.

Stop drinking. Look! You almost finish the whole thing.

It took you a long time to cook it. Of course I need to finish it.

Let me do it.

- I'll do it. - No need to be so polite. I'll do it.

You've made so much effort to cook soup for me.

Of course I need to show off that I'm actually quite amiable.

Hello.

What? How did that happen?

Don't ask so much first. Hurry and go to see Gao Lang.

Call me if you need help. I'll be available at any time.

Alright, I understand. Thank you.

What is it?

Gao Lang broke into Peter's house and he was caught.

How can he do something so foolish?

- I'll go and take a look now. - I'll go with you.

- Stay at home. - No, this is all because of me.

I'll go with me. Come on, let's go.

Alright.

This Peter is not an easy target. He easily defeated Gao Lang.

Looks like he's a veteran.

That's right. He's very heavy handed. And he goes straight to the vitals.

Leader, I think we should stop following Peter for these few days.

- Just in case. - No.

Not only we can't let our guards down,

we have to keep a close eye on that fake married couple.

We might be able to photograph evidence of their meeting.

And we need to find out if Peter has hired someone to push Grace.

Remember.

Usually, the truth will show up when you almost give up.

- Gao Lang. - What are you doing?

- We want to meet him. - You can't do it now.

- Can we have a word with him? - No.

- Help me take care of my mother! - Shut up. Not a word!

- Lie down. - Gao Lang!

Please leave immediately.

Quickly think of a solution and find him the best lawyer.

My hands are so painful from beating him.

Director Ning, how did you educate your subordinate?

How can he commit burglary? I think,

he'll be sentenced for about eight or ten years.

Thank goodness it's not you who instructed him to do that.

If it's you, it'll be a huge scoop.

The CEO of Xin Bao Rui ordering his subordinate...

to steal DP Corporation's trade secret. How awful.

Don't be too smug about it, Peter.

I'll make you pay for this.

What is it with me?

Why do all of you hate me that much?

I know. Your peer is your foe.

But we shouldn't be like this.

Stop pretending. Don't think I don't know what you did to...

Grace and us few companies behind our backs.

Grace, you've recovered quite fast.

I've seen your news on the net.

As expected of the fashion goddess.

You hit the headline just by falling down.

Luckily your face is undisturbed.

Or else, it'll be such a waste for your beautiful face.

You...

Quite a temper you have.

I have to go. Come find me if you need something. Bye.

No need to be angry with this kind of people.

We'll find a way to make him pay.

Don't drink too much.

Enough. Stop drinking.

Give me the cap.

I know you hate Peter. I hate him too.

But we can't act foolishly anymore. Gao Lang has been captured.

If you got caught for beating him, what about me?

But how can I let a person like Peter...

to get away Scot-free?

Enough.

Don't be angry anymore. Peter has done so many bad things.

We can definitely find the evidence to stop him.

Have you heard about Gao Lang?

Yes.

This is a civilised country.

Even though we are the foreigner,

we have to follow the rules.

You've seen the despicable tactics they used.

The business world reeks of blood.

Nothing is clean in this world.

I not here to talk to you about this.

I want you to give me back my photo and video.

I'll exchange them with information.

Tell me.

The three companies have joined forces to make a tremendous project...

called Project Glamorous.

Give me something concrete.

I don't have anything concrete for now.

But I think it's a threat to DP.

This is not enough.

Peter, what do you want me to do before you can give them back to me?

You have to get me the complete Glamorous' proposal first.

Only then I'll give it back to you.

But Miss Lisa,

I'll pay you the advertising fees first.

Plus,

you yourself will get some too.

Han Qing.

Wei Kai,

about Gao Lang's incident, I need you to give me an explanation.

This incident is very bad for Xin Bao Rui's reputation.

Don't worry.

I'll make it clear that this has nothing to do with Xin Bao Rui.

Tell me truthfully, are you behind this?

Of course not. Why would I do that?

Ever since you got together with Grace,

you've stopped taking care of Xin Bao Rui.

You've caused Gao Lang to go into jail because Grace got hurt.

Do you know what you are doing?

I hope that from today onwards,

you can put all your hearts into the planning of Glamorous.

I really don't know what else can I do.

I'm sorry, Han Qing.

Don't worry. I'll take care of everything.

The reporters want to interview me but I've rejected them.

Leave the reporters to me. I know what to say to them.

I heard that Gao Lang's mother is seriously ill.

On behalf of the company, give her 300,000 RMB.

No need. This is between me and Gao Lang.

This doesn't involve the company.

Don't worry.

Hello, Director Li.

Sit.

I've been waiting for your indictment but I didn't receive any.

And I didn't get a visit from the lawyer too.

I have a meeting in five minutes. If you have anything, make it quick.

Director Li, I heard that Xin Bao Rui and Si Mei Qi...

are joining forces to do a Project Glamorous.

I think it'll cause a ripple in the clothing industry of Linhai city.

Yes.

Then, can you give me some of the details or show me the proposal?

I'm sorry, I can't.

The personal assistant of Ning Wei Kai, the CEO of Xin Bao Rui has...

gone into jail because of burglary. What's your thought about that?

Do you mean Gao Lang?

I don't really know him.

There are rumours that Gao Lang's entry into Peter's house...

is not just a simple property theft...

but he is to steal DP's trade secret.

What's your opinion on that?

Lisa, I'm not Gao Lang.

I can't answer your question.

If you want to write an article to assail Xin Bao Rui, go ahead.

But don't forget, DP is one of the shareholders of Xin Bao Rui.

Your time is up. I won't be seeing you out then.

Goodbye.

Nurse, do you have single ward here?

Yes. But it's more expensive than a four-people ward.

Money is not the problem.

I want only the best room and the best medical supplies.

- Please get it done for me. - Alright, please follow me.

Are you tired?

Can you do it?

This is your request. I have to do it even if I can't.

Moreover, I can carry two of you without any problems.

- What are you doing? - Listen to me and go forward.

I'll be your eyes. Go on.

- You'll fall down. - No I won't. Quickly, move.

Just go straight. Straight ahead.

Move, quickly.

Cars are coming from behind. Take two steps forward, quickly.

How can there be a car on the side-walk?

Yes, there is.

There's a pillar in front. Move two steps to your left.

Quick.

Move. Walk in a straight line.

You are no fun at all.

Gu Yan Zhi, what happened to you lately?

You seem distracted.

Something is weighing on your mind?

- No. - Impossible.

Did you have a quarrel with my brother? I'll talk to him.

No.

Recently, I've been thinking about how to deal with DP.

About DP,

they'll sell theirs and we'll sell ours.

We can earn less. As long as we don't lose money, right?

Why does this need to be a life-or-death battle?

I don't want you to be so exhausted...

and give yourself so much pressure.

You are so great.

Let's go and get some good food.

Then, I want to eat ice cream.

- Let's go. - Let's go.

Hello, husband.

Wife.

What time are you coming back?

I might have to come back very late.

Tonight, I need to work on the details of the in-depth...

cooperation between Wen Da, Xin Bao Rui and Si Mei Qi.

We'll sign a contract with them tomorrow.

We just married and you are already coming back late.

Aren't you worried that I'm home alone? I'm scared.

Of course I'm worried.

Never open the door to strangers at night, alright?

Wait for me at home.

What's happening? Who is it? Did you ask somebody to come over tonight?

I didn't. Don't scare me.

Who could that be? It's so late already.

Don't hang up.

- I won't. Go and take a look. Quick. - I'm scared.

Hello, I'm Baby Polar Bear.

I heard that you are my loyal fan, right?

Li Zhi Cheng.

I realised I can't take my eyes off you.

I swear, I'm not a shallow man.

If I say I do,

can we finally be together?

Honey, please stop with the tantrum,

and let me carry you up.

Every time the Earth goes a round,

I will love you even more.

Even when the world is changing,

I won't change my love for you.

I'm willing...

to be together with you.

Let me carry you up.

Every time the Earth goes a round,

I will love you even more.

Even when the world is changing,

I won't change my love for you.

Director Li, we are officially working together now.

Shouldn't you share with us your little secret?

Yes, Director Li. This is a double happiness.

Congratulations for your wedding.

How did you know that I'm married?

Linhai city is not that big. How can we not know about it?

Thank you.

I've never thought that all of us will be working together one day.

We are in the best era right now.

The whole country is at the peak of it's development.

Standing at a new starting point of the history,

Those of us in the clothing industry should seize this golden opportunity.

Now, an all-win result...

is an important characteristic of the current era.

So,

our all-win is coming soon.

In this endless journey, I'll walk by your side.

Director Li,

I heard that you are married. Congratulations.

- Anything? - No, nothing.

I just want to give you a congratulatory gift.

I don't need your congratulatory gift.

You've rejected my gift even though you don't know what it is.

Gu Yan Zhi has sold off his shares in Wen Da to me.

We've already signed the contract.

You'll know it soon enough.

You are back. How did the contract signing on Project Glamorous go?

What happened?

Gu Yan Zhi has sold off his Wen Da's shares to DP.

Why?

Peter personally called me to inform me about that.

Peter told you that?

Is he trying to sow discord between the both of you?

Hasn't he been trying to crumble the internal structure of Wen Da?

Have you asked Gu Yan Zhi?

I haven't. I don't want to discuss about it in the company.

So, I've asked him to come here. He must be on his way.

Alright then.

Don't be too worried.

When Gu Yan Zhi is here, ask him properly.

Maybe this is just a misunderstanding.

I'm sorry for letting you worry about me.

What are you talking about? We are husband and wife now.

We'll face everything together.

Why did you do that?

Tell me.

Those are my shares.

How am I going to deal with them is up to me, right?

Do you know that by doing so, you've given Wen Da a death penalty.

DP has been wanting to swallow up Wen Da.

So they have been secretly buying off all of our shares.

If you give them your shares now, they'll have a greater hold on Wen Da.

You know about DP's aggressive ambition.

They want to invade the entire market of Linhai city.

And you are just helping them along.

Have you ever thought about how your action will affect Wen Da?

This is my resignation letter.

I'll make it clear to you today.

From now on, I'm no longer a part of Wen Da.

So, Wen Da is no longer my concern.

Do you need money?

If that's the case, you can just tell me.

Li Zhi Cheng.

Who do you think I am?

If I want something, I can get it myself.

I don't need your charity.

Besides, can you really give me the one thing that I want?

I want to be the leader of Wen Da. Can you give that to me?

Gu Yan Zhi.

Wen Da belongs to Li family. What were you thinking?

Zhi Cheng has been treating you like his brother.

How can you say this?

Yes. That's why he can't give it to me.

But I have to strive for my own development.

I can't possibly be utterly obedient...

and follow blindly behind someone forever.

Alright. You are free to do that.

Gu Yan Zhi.

You want to develop yourself.

Zhi Cheng and I can understand that.

But you can't do it this way.

You sold off Wen Da's shares.

You discuss with no one and now you tell us that you want...

to resign and leave the company with this kind of attitude?

This is the work of a traitor.

The Gu Yan Zhi I know is not like this.

Are you in a difficult position?

If you are, you can tell us. We can face it together with you.

But why do you want to this?

The problem is, I don't want to face it together with you.

Don't be angry.

Why did you do that?

How could you do this to Wen Da?

Tell me. Say something.

Did my brother treat you badly? Or did Li family treat you badly?

Or did I treat you badly?

Why?

I need money.

You...

Why do you need that much money?

Did something happen?

Tell me. I'll believe everything you say.

Tell me, what happened?

Gu Yan Zhi, say something.

Tell me why.

I never thought that...

we don't even have...

the most basic sincerity and trust between us.

I can't be in love with a traitor.

Sooner or later,

you'll betray me too.

Let's break up.

I'm sorry.

That'll do. No need to chop until so fine.

This food processor is very powerful.

What? Food processor? What is that?

You don't know, right? I just bought it today.

This is different from the normal blender.

Meaning, it can best retain the fibres in all plants to the greatest extent.

It's very healthy.

I thought it is something magnificent. I can just eat it raw.

But I want to drink some juice.

Hello.

What?

Alright. I get it.

How can that be?

Gu Yan Zhi sold off his Wen Da's shares to DP.

How is that possible?

If he does this now,

it's very clear that he has back-stabbed Li Zhi Cheng, right?

What is really happening now?

Do you have a feeling that...

Gu Yan Zhi is hiding something from us?

This is too sudden.

I'm afraid that something fishy is going on.

Why do you think he sell off...

his shares to DP?

Is it really for his own development?

He doesn't need to pay such a high price for his own development.

And his attitude today is very weird.

At least, I've never seen him like this before.

I think all of these...

have something to do with Peter.

I never thought that this Peter...

is so wildly ambitious.

First, he joined hands with Lisa.

And then, because of him, I have to stay in the hospital.

And now, this happens.

Most importantly, now, the entire H Magazine has become his puppet.

No.

I have to go back to my company.

Enough. Don't panic.

H Magazine is controlled by Lisa, right?

How are you going to get rid of her?

I'm just on a leave. I didn't resign.

If I want to go back,

I'll have my way.

Hello.

Hello, who are you?

Are you the head of the loan department, Zhang Lin?

I am Gu Yan Zhi's friend. I want to ask about his loan.

Alright. See you in two hours' time.

Alright.

- Hello, Monkey. - Leader, what's your order?

I'll send you an address. Go there in two hours' time.

Pretend to be Gu Yan Zhi's friend and as about his loan.

See whether or not you can find out how much loan does he owe them.

Got it. Send it to me then.

If my hypothesis is correct,

he is using the ruse of self-injury.

It looks like he's helping them on the surface...

by pretending to sell off his shares to them to gain Peter's trust.

But actually, he's just an undercover.

He is too simple-minded.

Peter is not someone who can be handled easily.

Peter must have known that he has been working for you for a long time.

They will be suspicious of him if he switches side suddenly.

It's too rash for him to act like this.

I think you should find a way to help him.

What happened? Why did you cry?

I'm fine.

Stop crying.

You broke up with Gu Yan Zhi?

Brother.

I think he has his own reasons.

Look how well you know him.

But,

I think that...

there should be trust and honesty between a couple.

So I asked him why.

But he said nothing.

So I broke up with him...

in haste.

Although you say that you hate him,

your heart wouldn't let him go.

Yan Zhi is a man. He knows what he should do and what he shouldn't do.

I've been with Gu Yan Zhi for so many years.

He has always treated me so well.

Why did it become like this all of the sudden?

How could he change into somebody else so suddenly?

Gu Yan Zhi must have done this after considering the consequences.

Sister, promise me.

Don't seek him out.

Let the outside world knows that you're totally done with him.

Promise me.

You are sick.

- Rest well after you drink it. - Thank you, brother.

Do you have it?

Director Gu has a private mortgage loan using his own house as mortgage.

It was paid off a few days ago.

How much is it?

I've done my best but I couldn't get the answer out of him.

Looks like it's quite a huge number.

Why does he need this money for?

By the way, ask Antelope and Wood- pecker to keep an eye on Gu Yan Zhi.

As soon as Gu Yan Zhi meets up with Peter,

expose their identities.

- Alright. - Look out for Director Gu's reaction.

In this world, the thing that is the least worthy of your sorrow...

is woman.

You don't understand.

Do you have the Glamorous' proposal?

Peter, please excuse me.

Stop.

Li Zhi Cheng sent you here, right?

Director Gu, this is just a coincidence.

Yes. We are here for a drink too.

You call that a lie?

Director Li, you've drunk too much. How about we send you home.

Go back and tell Li Zhi Cheng.

All these years, I've been working diligently for Wen Da.

I deserve everything that I have now.

Don't look at me like that.

I owe Li Zhi Cheng nothing.

Don't tail after me again next time.

Get lost!

Director Gu, what are you doing?

Maybe they came here because they are following me.

We purposely exposed ourselves.

And then, Director Gu came and drove us away.

Our leader is really smart. He has an incredible foresight.

That is the correct reaction from Director Gu.

What is happening now? Just now, Director Gu acted like a lunatic.

This is a rival show between our leader and Director Gu.

Of course you don't understand. Because the audience is Peter.

I still don't get it.

It's working if you don't get it.

Chen Hei Hei, so many days have passed.

I said those words in a fit of rage. I would never break up with you.

I really want to be together with you.

You are very smart.

But I hope that you can use your cleverness on other things.

And you have a great foundation.

If you are willing to make effort, you can fly higher and further.

But I just want to be with you.

I want to show you the world.

Chen Zheng.

I think, we are world apart.

We are born differently and we grew up differently.

Even our social circles are different.

But I can feel that you really treat me well.

Good morning.

Boss, finally you are back! We miss you!

I miss you too. How's work? Everything is running smoothly?

That Lisa is too much.

She asked us to do drafts for DP all day long.

- We are like DP's promotion team. - That's right.

Don't worry. I'll solve this kind of problem...

- immediately for you guys. - Great.

- Grace. - How is it?

Is it comfortable to sit in my place?

Actually, I've been wanting to find a chance to visit you.

But look, I've been too busy.

Thank you for your concern.

I'm just here to remind you that...

now, our magazine is full of drafts for DP only.

It makes our magazine looks like a product brochure for DP.

DP is our main client for advertisement. You know that too.

Don't think that because I'm on leave,

I'll know nothing about the things that happened in the company.
