" Our Glamourous Time "

Episode 46

Be careful.

The lift is broken?

- Yes. - How long does it take to repair it?

Hard to say. Maybe about one hour or more.

Why don't you do it at night?

There are so many people during the day. It'll be a disturbance.

I don't want to do it during the day too but it broke just now.

- Both of the lifts are broken. - The lift is broken again?

Come. I'll carry you.

There are 22 floors. How can you do it?

Alright, stop stalling.

Come, let me carry you. Come up.

No, put me down.

Hello, what can I help you with?

I would like to try on the dress worn by this mannequin.

I'm sorry. This is our newest design for this year.

It has been sold out.

We need to reorder from Italy. It takes about 10 days.

- This is selling so well? - It's selling exceptionally well.

Usually, the clothes in our shop will be sold out once the stocks are here.

If you like it, there's another type of dress over there.

Do you want to try that out?

- No need. Thank you. - Alright.

- It's the eighth floor now. - Eighth floor.

Are you sure you can keep going?

Yes, no problem.

Are you alright?

Hang on.

Are you alright?

Yes, no problem.

Why do I feel like this is a Pigsy carrying his wife?

So you admit that you are my wife.

So you admit that you are the Pigsy.

- Hello. - Director Gu.

The most I can give you is a week's time. Not a day more.

If you can't pay back by then,

According to the contract, the bank will auction your mortgaged property.

I understand.

I'm sorry.

Come in.

Director Gu, Director Li asked you to go to his office.

Alright. Will do.

Be careful of your leg.

- Are you alright? - I'm fine.

You are fine. Be careful of your leg.

Look how exhausted you are.

- I'm fine. - This is considered as fine?

I'm fine.

What are you doing? Sit down.

- What are you doing? - Getting you a drink.

I can get it myself. For now, I'm your legs.

- I'm not an invalid. - Don't be stubborn.

- Where is the water? - Inside the fridge.

You are looking for me?

Sit down. It's been a while since I last saw you in the company.

What are you doing recently?

I've been outside running around the market and doing my research.

You are right.

DP's first-line brand has brought up the sales of it's second-line brand.

The overall sales of DP is back on track right now.

But Xin Bao Rui's sales has been declining dangerously.

Ning Wei Kai is taking care of Grace now.

He isn't in the mood to take care of the company.

It's too much of a coincidence for Grace to be injured now.

Peter might be responsible for it.

So, what did both of you talk about?

Yan Zhi.

I trust you a lot.

So I won't pry.

You know Peter's personal character better than me.

I won't go too far.

Alright, I trust you.

Hello, Wood-pecker.

Alright, I know. I'll come here immediately.

- What happened? - Nothing.

Help me to prepare the sales report of Glamorous.

Alright.

Come, drink this.

No need. You can drink it.

You are not going to drink it?

What is it? Your heart aches for me?

Don't be over confident. I'm just worried.

You became like this although you've just gone through 22 floors.

Looks like your physical strength is not that good.

So, it made me worry.

You are worried?

So, in order to ease your mind,

I have to do better then.

Why are you smiling so creepily? Stop fooling around.

Give me a kiss.

- What happened? - You touched my leg.

Are you alright? Let me take a look.

Do you feel better if I do like this?

When I was young, my father used to massage my leg like that.

When I was in primary school, I was almost late to school.

So, my father sent me to school by bicycle.

I was very young that time. In the end, my foot accidentally...

got stuck into the bicycle.

I lay on the floor and cried hysterically.

He carried me and ran for two kilometres...

to send me to the hospital.

When he reached the hospital,

only then he realised that he lost his shoes while running.

Both of his feet were covered in huge blood blisters.

I miss my father suddenly.

But I don't have any chance to see him anymore.

Don't worry.

From now on,

there'll be a man who loves you more than your father did.

Really?

Boss, Zhao and Peter are sitting inside the car.

But I only see Zhao going into Peter's car.

I'm not sure about the rest.

We agreed on 30,000.

20,000 are already good enough.

You didn't do your job well and Li Zhi Cheng found out about it, right?

If you don't give me the correct amount, I'll call the police.

You dare to threaten me?

Go ahead. Go ahead and call the police.

But don't forget, you are an accomplice.

I have diplomatic immunity.

Worst come to worst, I'll just go back to my country. But what about you?

You will go into jail.

Don't you want to take care of your family?

Director Li, I didn't accept his money.

Director Li, I've done wrong. I'm sorry.

Director Li, I really need this money.

- Director Li. - Wood-pecker.

Li...

This has nothing to do with me.

Come out from the car.

You will receive a court summons...

about illegal competition.

If you are a man, compete with us honourably.

Don't back-stab people with this kind of despicable trick.

Director Li.

That guy has ran away and he has spent all of the money.

He'll protect himself.

He won't testify for you at all.

And you don't have proof.

Although you have sent someone to secretly take photos of me,

But what can the photos prove?

They can prove nothing.

Even if he's willing to testify for you,

I can sue you for...

using a self-directed substandard buttons' incident...

to frame DP.

It'll cost me nothing.

Then let's test it out,

Director Li.

Actually, we don't have to do this.

We can become partners.

Don't fall out with me just because I've plagiarised...

your girlfriend's design.

It's so childish to let your emotion rule.

You don't act like a man that is meant for greatness.

You want to compete honourably?

Sure.

Sell Glamorous and Xue Yan Twill to DP.

Then, you can keep Wen Da.

Or else...

Okay.

Plagiarise our design,

bribe our worker to mix in substandard buttons,

repeatedly cause trouble in my shop...

and send someone to hurt Grace.

Director Li, your imaginations have gone wild.

Be careful or I might sue you for slander.

The things you said just now are just your imaginations.

Let me tell you a fact.

The sales of Glamorous' shirts have declined dangerously.

It's such a waste to put Glamorous in your hands.

It can only be successful under DP.

Or else, Glamorous and Wen Da...

will be destroyed together.

Peter.

At first, I thought that you'll rein in.

But now, it doesn't look like you'll be stopping anytime soon.

Alright. Let me tell you the result.

Wen Da and Glamorous will strive.

So will Si Mei Qi and Xin Bao Rui.

And DP...

will disappear completely...

from China's market.

Director Li, I...

I really admire your unfounded confidence.

We shall see then.

Go back and buy a H Magazine.

Boss, what are we going to do with Zhao?

No need to give chase first. He's in shock now.

I think he is threatened by Peter.

Let it be for the moment.

- Buy me a H Magazine. - Alright.

There's CCTV surveillance at the place of incident.

I'll investigate it now.

I want a 100 percent confirmation.

Drop it if it's an accident.

But if it's done on purpose, this will be a serious issue matter.

- Alright. - Report to me...

- if something is amiss. - Alright.

That's all.

Give me your leg.

Come.

Compress it with a hot towel.

Shouldn't we use a cold compress?

You use cold compress when you first sprain your ankle.

Now, you need to use a hot compress to reduce the swelling.

You know quite a lot about it.

Be careful.

- Hello. - Wei Kai,

come back to the company immediately.

- What happened? - Come back now and don't ask.

Alright then.

There's an emergency in the company. I need to go back immediately.

Go and do your work then.

- Can you manage alone? - I'm fine. Don't worry about me.

Alright.

Sister Qian. Look at this, quickly.

This is a special edition from H Magazine today.

The scandalous golden boy and girl in the fashion world of Linhai city.

Glamorous lied to their customers with their shirts.

This is rubbish.

This is our recently taken wedding photo.

How can the studio do this?

How can they give our wedding photo to a magazine without our consent?

No. I need an explanation from them.

- Follow Lin Qian. - Alright.

Sister Qian.

I just need to write here, right?

Han Chong, please reconsider.

I've already made up my mind.

What are you doing?

He wants to sell off his Xin Bao Rui's shares.

Hello, I'm Wang Dong, his attorney.

Mr. Zhu has authorized me to take charge of this transaction.

Zhu Han Chong.

Are you really going to sell off Xin Bao Rui?

Xin Bao Rui's sales performance is so bad right now.

I believe, the market shares of DP will increase in value rapidly.

Look at those Chinese traditional clothing retail enterprises in China.

How many of them are successful?

So I might as well cash in my shares and do something that I like.

For example, mobile games, property, logistics and etcetera.

- You... - Do you know that...

Xin Bao Rui is the first company of Zhu family?

Do you know what Xin Bao Rui means?

Sister, no need to be sentimental with me.

I don't have any feelings towards Xin Bao Rui.

And I don't have a say in it. So, why do I need my shares for?

- Remember that your surname is Zhu. - I remember that my surname is Zhu.

But Xin Bao Rui is not under Zhu right now.

Zhu Han Chong!

Please calm down and think carefully.

Xin Bao Rui is not just about money.

It is the hard work of our chairman when he was still alive.

If you need money, tell me.

I can help you think of a way.

I don't need money.

This is my right and my freedom of choice, right?

Zhu Han Chong.

I never thought that you'll be unfilial.

Our father just passed away.

And now, you want to cash in Xin Bao Rui's shares.

Sister.

You always said that I'm a good-for-nothing.

Now, I want to do something, but you keep on holding me back.

I'm a total failure now because of you guys.

- You... - I've already made up my mind.

Zhu Han Chong.

If you dare to sell off Xin Bao Rui, don't call me sister anymore.

Why can't you understand, sister?

If I don't cash in now, when Xin Bao Rui is done for,

my shares will be worthless.

What are you talking about? Repeat that again!

Calm down, sister.

Aren't you the one who taught me...

not to be controlled by emotion in the business world?

But now, you are controlled by your emotion.

Enough.

I'm tired.

You can continue with your fight.

But actually,

you don't really need to go head-to-head with DP.

They are an international corporation.

They have more funds than us. You know it better than I do.

Xin Bao Rui doesn't have that capability.

Zhu Corporation has so many other properties.

Why do you want to fixate on a dead end?

Alright. Tell me then.

Who are you going to sell it to?

A few companies are discussing about it now.

Then you better don't sell it to DP.

Alright. I'll try my best.

I'm so useless.

I can't stop Zhu Han Chong from selling off Xin Bao Rui's shares.

If my father is still here, he won't want to see this.

Enough. Don't be too upset.

I know you've done your best.

Just that I never thought that Zhu Han Chong...

will really go through with this.

Wei Kai, you have to think of a way to save Xin Bao Rui.

Don't worry. I believe that Xin Bao Rui...

will find a way to get through this crisis.

You didn't come to the company today. Where did you go?

Grace is hurt.

So, for the moment,

she needs my care.

I don't care about that.

What I care about is,

this morning, both DP and us have released a designer's limited edition.

People has been lining up outside of DP's shop at five in the morning.

And they even have to take a number.

But nobody is interested in our shop.

Their high-end Royal series...

is a huge blow to Xin Bao Rui's market.

And during time like this,

you don't even try to think of a countermeasure for that.

I'm sorry. I have to go.

Ning Wei Kai!

You are together with Grace now.

But I don't care.

Because I know that feelings can't be forced.

But I hope that you won't forget...

about your promise to my father when he is still alive.

As the CEO of Xin Bao Rui,

you need to put Xin Bao Rui first.

Don't worry.

I'll keep my promise to the chairman.

I'll make the proper arrangement for our company.

I'll stick to Xin Bao Rui until the end.

But now,

I really need to go.

What is this?

As the opinion leader of the clothing industry in Linhai city,

we have the responsibility to reveal the bad aspects of...

the clothing industry for a better overall development.

Do you know that the writing is like a gossip magazine?

That's why it's a special edition.

This is slander and libel against Wen Da, Glamorous, Lin Qian and me.

Do you know that we can sue you?

Director Li, I'm not sure if you have read the magazine carefully.

I've read this manuscript many times and we are careful with the wordings.

And our lawyer has read through it We are just stating the facts.

Lisa, heed my advice.

Get away from Peter.

There's an old saying in China.

Diplomacy before violence. I don't want to drag you in later.

Director Li, don't try to intimidate me.

Alright?

Actually, I've always admired you.

We'll have a party tonight.

Can I invite you to come along?

It'll be a wild party.

No need. Thank you.

Zhu Han Chong's shares in Xin Bao Rui are in my hands now.

And the price that I've offered to you is quite high.

You don't have any reason to reject it.

Let me think about it.

How long do you need?

I'll call you when I've made up my mind.

You have an awkward position in Wen Da.

You'll always be under Li Zhi Cheng.

But personally, I think that your capabilities in this profession...

are better than Li Zhi Cheng.

But in China, bloodline is everything.

Have you thought about...

how are you going to live for the rest of your life?

I have to hang up.

You are here?

Zhu Han Chong sold off his shares in Xin Bao Rui.

He sold it?

Did he sell them to DP?

We are not sure yet.

I think they are scared because DP has snatched away...

their middle and high-end market.

Even the people in Zhu Corporation have given up on it.

Actually,

if we don't cash in...

our shares,

they'll remain as numbers forever. And they fluctuate.

We might as well change it into a car of a house.

Or into another career even.

What do you mean by that?

Nothing. Just a passing thought.

Make an emergency public statement based on this magazine.

Send it to my office later.

Have you thought about...

how are you going to live for the rest of your life?

You've made a loan from the bank.

If you can't pay them back, you'll lose everything.

Put less water.

I don't want to drink that much.

How did you get sick?

It's because you didn't turn up the heat when you went out.

It's my fault.

Come. Take your medicine. You'll feel better after taking it.

I'll drink it later.

You won't get better if you don't drink it.

Quick, drink it.

It's hot.

Let me blow it for you.

That Zhu Han Chong has gone too far.

I think he doesn't even realise the indication for selling off his shares.

We can do nothing about it.

I've already done my best.

I really don't hope that Xin Bao Rui...

will be destroyed by Zhu Han Chong just like that.

Alright. Don't be upset anymore.

You've done nothing wrong for Xin Bao Rui.

If it wasn't for you,

they would have been destroyed over and over again.

Actually, it's quite good to be like you now.

Empty my mind once in a while.

No need to think of anything. It's nice.

Of course.

It's supposed to be like this.

We work diligently during our upper half of life...

and spend diligently during our lower half of life.

Let's go out to play when my foot is healed.

- Where do you want to go? - I want to go to Switzerland first.

And then, go to Iceland...

and England next. Actually, the place I really wanted to go...

is the most beautiful village in Europe.

Just beside Vienna.

We can stay there for half a month. What do you think?

We have a deal then. Let's pinkie swear.

Drink your medicine first.

- Hello, Gao Lang. - Director Ning,

- I've seen the footage. - What did you see?

I can confirm that someone purposely pushed Grace down the stairs.

- Can you secure the footage? - No, I can't.

It's no use even if we can get it because the image is very blurry.

And that man is wearing a hat. I can't see his face clearly.

But I can see his action clearly.

I'm absolutely sure that he purposely pushed Grace down the stairs.

Alright. I understand.

What is it?

Gao Lang has watched the CCTV footage.

He's sure that somebody purposely pushed you down the stairs.

What?

The studio has already given me the photo.

When I confront the with H Magazine's special edition,

the studio said that they don't know which sections have gone wrong...

until the photo is leaked out.

They have already apologised to us.

Actually, it's no longer important to find out how the photo got leaked.

That studio is just another pawn used by the puppet master behind it.

And I've talked to Lisa.

She neither admits or denies it.

But I'm sure that she's working hand in hand with Peter in secret.

I've already warned her not to be used by Peter anymore.

As for the special issue, I've prepared a contingency plan for it.

I've asked Gu Yan Zhi to execute it.

Have you asked Gu Yan Zhi about...

his meeting with Peter?

I don't know how to do it.

That's right. I think, before we can find any conclusive evidence,

we have to thread this line with care...

so that it won't affect the relationship between the both of you.

I trust him.

And I trust my own judgement.

Recently, because of the photo and the works that I have to do,

my whole body is sore.

It's painful.

- My neck. - Alright.

You want to choke me to death?

Who is it?

Work.

Alright, I understand.

Let's do it.

- Let's go. Quick, get into the car. - Chen Hei Hei.

Why is it so strenuous to be in a relationship with you?

Every time I pick you up, I have to hide from afar.

Is that necessary?

Okay, it's my fault, alright? Listen.

There is a French design exhibition that looks great. Come with me.

- Wait. - What is it?

There are seven days in a week. You have to work six days a week.

And you still want to study on your rest day? Aren't you tired?

How about this. I'll bring you to a party tonight.

It's definitely better than the design exhibition.

Can I say no?

Look at the shirt I'm wearing.

I've already thought of that. Come.

This is a designer's limited edition that I...

got for you from Vipshop this morning.

How is it? Do you like it?

You are quite considerate.

Let's go.

I agree to your terms.

You are a smart man. You won't regret this.

You can transfer the money straight to my account.

No problem.

Now, we need to raise our glass to celebrate.

But I have a condition.

Before this things ends,

you can't tell anybody about it.

- I have my own arrangement. - No problem.

- Don't take it off. - Why?

This is a mask club. It's no fun if you take it off.

We have to remember each other's masks. Don't get lost later.

- Let's go. - Handsome, have a drink.

Later. Let's go.

How is it? Do you like it?

Let's dance.

I don't know how to dance.

I've told you. I brought you here today to have fun.

This dance is too ugly.

Do you like it?

You dance like a...

- Like a what? - A gorilla.

You are the one who dance like a gorilla.

Partner change. Let's go.

Chen Zheng.

Hello.

Are you crazy?

- Don't be shy. Let's play. - What are you doing? Chen Zheng.

Hands off.

- Let's play. It's alright. - Are you crazy?

You can't play? Don't come to a club if you can't play.

Yes. I can't play.

- What did you do? - What are you doing, Xin Yu?

Chen Zheng, this is the girl that you've brought over, right?

Your taste is getting worse and worse now.

What kind of attitude is that? Watch what you say.

Go and have your fun.

Lunatic.

Ya Yi!

Ya Yi.

Where are you going? I've already helped you deal with that man.

Helped me?

No.

You are quite fierce. Throwing a drink straight to his face.

As expected from my woman, right?

Is this mask club fun? Exciting, right?

Yes. It's very exciting.

Nobody can recognise you when you are wearing the mask.

You can grind yourself with a lot of women.

How exciting and fun is that, right?

Why are you so narrow minded? I just want to bring you...

out to relax because you've been under pressure lately.

When you put on the mask in the mask bar,

you can release you true self.

So just now, that's your true self, right?

I thought that after we are together, you'll change.

But you are still the same.

What are you doing? If you don't like it here,

we can play in other places.

Play?

Is having fun the only thing in your mind all day long?

Do you think that a couple should share each other and play like that?

Of course I want to share. I want to tell them that you are my girlfriend.

Let me tell you, Cheng Zheng.

For me, a relationship is just between the two of us.

It's not the more, the merrier like what you are used to.

If you like to be surrounded by many women, then that's your thing.

I just want my boyfriend to hold tight to my hand and never let go.

Understand?

I've held on to it.

You've already let go of my hand in the dance floor just now.

There's no use in holding it now.

It's enough, Chen Zheng.

I don't want to play this boring and dirty game anymore.

I just want to go back to my life when I'm still single.

Let's end it here.

What do you mean by that? You want to break up with me?

Why do we need to keep our relationship a secret?

Are you that ashamed of me?

Let's just break up then. Who cares?

Sister.

Why did you come back?

Sister, you are still angry at me.

- I don't want to talk to you now. - No, sister.

You really shouldn't be angry at me.

I don't think that I've done anything wrong.

Sister, our father is gone now.

If you don't care about me, then I'll really have nothing left.

Sister, do you know?

I've been sitting here waiting for you.

Just like the time when I used to wait for our father.

I still remember that time when our father didn't come back for the night.

I've gotten hungry.

So I went out to eat.

After I've eaten, I can't sleep.

So, I took a stool...

to sit here and wait for him.

He was very busy that time and he often didn't come back for the night.

So I sat here and kept on waiting...

and waiting.

I'll look at the stars.

Until now,

I can tell you the location...

of every star with my eyes closed.

Yes.

I still remember.

You always waited for father by the door.

Our father wouldn't let you do that and he hit you a lot.

Yes.

I was hit quite a lot of time by father when I was younger.

I remember. During that time,

I like to sit by the door...

and look at those old men playing chess.

Actually, I just wanted...

to be the first to see him...

when he came back from work.
