Original subtitles

Hello.

In this lesson, we will draw a different movement in every frame

and make a slightly

more difficult animation than the previous one.

You must understand and imagine the processes

between the beginning and the end

of a particular movement.

Just like taking a photo,

we're going to create an animation

that which the glitters sparkling and the character blinks.

First, we're going to draw the yellow-green glitter in SAItool.

Copy the glitter layer and shrink it a little.

And put it in the center.

Copy one more layer

and shrink it to a smaller size than before.

Subtitled by -โ™ช online-courses.club โ™ช- We compress knowledge for you! https://t.me/joinchat/ailxpXoW3JVjYzQ1

If you reverse the order of the layers,

you'll see the smallest glitter

And then the second one will be appeared,

and the biggest glitter will be appeared in the third.

From the fourth layer,

we'll make the glitter disappear.

First, adjust the opacity of the third layer.

Add a new layer on top of it

and draw the in-between lines

to match the shape of the light at the bottom.

Once you're done, adjust the opacity of this layer

and create a new layer on top to create a process

where the light gradually fades away.

I'll lower the opacity of this layer

and draw a look before it disappears.

The process is done.

If you look at it in order, this is the order.

I'll copy this group and

turn it into a light blue glitter.

I'll change the color with paint tools.

I'll reduce the size of the group.

I want the camera to look like it's flashing,

so I'll move it to the lens.

Now, I'll draw the eye blinking process.

I've already divided the layers into line drawing and coloring

and arranged them.

I'm going to name the group 'Wink'.

I'll copy this group

and draw the closed eyes.

To see where the eyes are,

copy and adjust

the opacity of the layer below.

I'll erase the eye of the new layer

and draw the closed eye.

Once you're done drawing,

match the size and position of the original eye.

If the size or position isn't right here,

it won't move naturally but awkward

so control it carefully.

And also color it according to the eye.

Now,

we have a group of winking eyes.

Now, let's draw both eyes opened.

Same as before, copy the group of the winking eyes.

Copy the line drawing group and remove the eye that is winking.

Let's draw a rough sketch first.

Balance it with another eye

so that it doesn't look awkward.

Now, let's work on the line drawings.

Subtitled by -โ™ช online-courses.club โ™ช- We compress knowledge for you! https://t.me/joinchat/ailxpXoW3JVjYzQ1

I think we're done with the line drawings

so let's color the eye based on another eye.

Make sure it doesn't look awkward compared to the other eye.

Now, let's make the half-closed eye, which is the middle

between the open eye and the closed eye.

This time, we won't draw from the beginning

but we will just move the upper eyes downward slightly

I'll draw the highlights of the eyes slightly down as well.

This is how the groups

look like.

But since this character is winking,

we need the middle process for winking.

So we will copy only the parts we need from the previous one

I'm going to draw the middle process

with only one eye closed.

Let's review the group that we worked on

two opened eyes

half-closed eyes

half-winking eyes

winking eyes

There are five different process

of winking eyes.

Now I'm going to save this as a PSD file

so that it can be imported into Photoshop.

Just like the previous lesson, I opened the file that I saved in Photoshop

and click create frame animation in the timeline

to create the first frame.

In the first frame, it's supposed to look like the eyes are opened

and in the second frame, it's supposed to look like half closed eyes.

And then third frame, it's supposed to be completely closed eyes.

At fourth frame,

if we play back with half-opened eyes,

it becomes an animation that blinks.

But the speed is so fast and steady

that it feels like a robot.

So I'll adjust the frame duration here.

The first frame will be one second,

and the third frame which is closed eyes will be 0.2seconds.

For the rest of the frames, let's make it a tenth of a second

so that it passes quickly.

If we plack back again,

the eyes blink more naturally.

Make it longer during the eyes are opened and closed

the middle part which is the half-opened eyes

will pass quickly.

Now, let's repeat this process and make the eyes blink twice.

Select the entire frame, drag it, and copy it.

If I make the fifth frame which is opened eyes

0.2 seconds

the animation will quickly blink twice.

Now, I'll continue adding a winking frame.

Since the eighth frame was in the middle of opening the eyes,

add the ninth frame to open the eyes.

Set the time to 0.5 seconds.

Show a group of mid-process of winking,

and set it to 0.1 seconds so that it passes quickly.

I'm going to show the 11th frame

for showing the wink group

and let it last for two seconds.

Because we need to show the open eyes process.

If we playback, it becomes an animation

that blinks twice and then winks.

What you have to remember is

the frames in the middle will look more natural

if you shorten the duration.

Now, when it's winking

let's make the camera flash

twice.

First, come back to the first frame

and turn off the eyes of light-green glitter and the light-blue glitter.

Then the rest of the frames will be turned off as well.

The changes you made in the first frame

will be applied to the rest of the frames.

So when we make a change in the first frame, we have to do it carefully.

Go back to frame 11

and turn on the first layer of the yellow-green glitter

and change the duration to 0.1 seconds.

And then if I press a new frame like this,

a new frame will be generated between the 11th and the last frame.

As I add a frame between them,

I will turn on a yellow-green glitter layer one by one.

If I playback, it glows when it's winking.

Now, I'm going to show the light blue glitter.

I'm going to start it in the middle of yellow glitter is glowing,

about frame 13th.

Again, I'm going to turn on the

light blue glitter layer one by one.

In the last frame, the eyes have been opened.

So we have to make a new frame after the 16th frame,

and turn the eye of the next layer on.

This yellow-green glow needs to be disappeared, so I'll turn off the eye of it.

Finally, add one more frame

and turn on the sky blue layer.

If we playback,

blink twice,

then wink and then the camera flash twice.

The animation has been created.

I've also applied neon signs and rotating flowers

which we've done in the previous lesson.

In this lesson,

we used Photoshop to create simple frame animation.

Even the smallest movement can create

an eye-catching illustration like this.

If you understand how frame animation works,

you'll be able to create a variety of movements.

The next chapter will be bonus chapters,

I will teach you the printing principles and final adjustments tips

which is good to know when you make merchandise.

Actually, it is for those of you who have made merchandise before.

But it will be a still useful lesson,

if you want to make merchandise in the future

See you next time!
