Hello.

In this lesson, on the drawings from the last lesson

we will apply various layouts

just like attaching the sticker.

First, we merged each object into one layer

and made it move separately,

and named each layer so that it looks nice.

First, let's keep the triangle composition,

but place the objects overlapping each other slightly.

The key point is to place the objects on top of each other

so that the clumps become one element.

Instead of making the main characters stick together,

we will place the smaller objects on top of the big elements

feel like decorating them.

The parts of the main character will be the largest area,

and it must be placed in the order of importance.

There are no correct answers,

so we will place them wherever it looks better.

It looks like there are three groups,

so let's fill them with smaller elements.

Now the overall composition is done somewhat.

I've divided them into three big groups.

If you compare them to the original layout.

It used to look like they were scattered evenly.

But now, small elements can decorate big objects,

and the objects are related.

Next, let's keep this feeling

and make the canvas long and vertical.

When I put the main group in the middle

and fill in the empty space with other elements,

three groups are placed in the same line.

The layout isn't necessarily bad,

but it becomes a monotonous layout,

as if an object is in a line.

I'll think about another layout.

I wanted to find the most stable angle,

so once again, I placed three groups in triangle composition.

This time, we'll place them on a square canvas.

A square canvas would look better with the main character in the middle.

I'm going to turn on the rest of the layers and lay them out.

This time, I'm going to make them like one group

cause the space is not enough.

Definitely, I placed them thinking about the balance

with the intention of making sure that the big objects don't lean to one side.

Now, we have the square layout that looks like one group.

Next, we'll depict the bottom line

so that it gives a sense of space.

We'll make main character part

looks like a mirror on the wall.

For the rest of the objects,

we will adjust the angle considering them as putting on the table.

Let's place the smaller objects as if they are on the wall.

We've only added the bottom line,

but it gives a sense of space

as if they are on the table,

from the flat two-dimensional layout.

This time, I'll draw a diary in the background

lay them out just like

attaching the stickers in real.

I played with them randomly,

while imagining the situation they are on the paper.

Many people like to decorate their diary

with stickers.

That is actually a great way to practice layout.

On the crop part of the diary, rather than placing the stickers fully visible

on the inside of the canvas,

it's more natural they are also cropped along the outside of the canvas.

After placing the small elements, it's done.

In this lesson, we learned how to change the canvas scale

and the background

using only one painting

and to apply various layouts.

At the beginning of the chapter, we laid out in triangle composition,

but there is no set formula or answer.

You can play around with the elements

while checking the composition

looks better with various experiments

It's already the end of chapter 4.

Now, you will be able to draw

a complete illustration.

From this chapter, there were a lot more things to draw,

so it must have taken you a lot longer.

I'd like to give a round of applause

to those of you who persevered until the very end.

If you feel tired and give up halfway,

let's take a break and draw again.

If you start over with a refresh,

you might be able to solve the problems you had previously.

In the next chapter, we will use the layout method you learned

and create a three-dimensional illustration.

We'll see you in the next chapter.
