In this lesson, we're going to use the sketches

we did in the previous lesson for line drawing of cute props

Same for the line drawing,

draw them thinking about the importance of the objects.

The character will be the most detailed and dense

then melon-soda and doll in that order.

I'm going to draw the small objects simply.

First, let's draw the character.

This time, there are more important things to draw than in the previous chapters,

and there are many objects to draw,

so it will take a long time just to do the line drawing.

If there are parts in the middle

that you can't draw,

take a break or skip,

come back and draw, but don't give up until the end.

I drew the face winking and looking at a phone while taking selfies.

The hair is repeating content from the previous chapter.

First, we started with a big section

and divided the face with long lines.

I also drew the ribbon hair sticking out in the middle.

I drew the hand according to the sketch

and drew the rest of the parts, including the neck and back hair.

Now, I'm going to draw a phone

by imagining a phone with a cute,

round design like the one they used in the early 2000s.

I added the antenna and made it more retro.

I highlighted it with the heart decoration.

Now, I'm going to draw a frame.

First, draw half of the heart.

After copying it, flip it so it would be symmetrical.

I copied the heart frame

and make it smaller for the inner side heart.

The top part of the frame looks thin, so I'll trim it.

Next, let's draw the melon-soda.

Draw half of the glass first same way as the heart frame.

Copy and flip it again and then trim it.

I'm gonna draw the ice cream on top of the soda.

The ice cream has been made by the scooper

so it's gonna leave an indentation in one direction.

Draw a cherry on top.

Now, let's draw the inside of the cup.

For the inside of the glass, we didn't draw one line.

We purposely drew short lines to fill in the gaps.

For the ice cubes with round edges, draw them from different angles.

Just like what we did with the glass, let's intentionally draw a gap

so that the whole face doesn't connect.

Next, I'll draw a cotton doll.

Same with the main character,

it will be holding the phone and winking eyes.

So it would be much cuter and suited to the overall drawing tone.

I've finished drawing the lines of the three most important elements.

I'm going to draw little elements.

I'm going to draw the 'selfie' letters

like a neon sign.

With a brush that has no pressure on it,

we wrote each letter separately

so that the lines won't overlap.

Let's make the gap between the letters look nice.

I drew the border with the original brush.

Now, let's write the letters of 'love'

For the SAI tool, since there are no text features,

and I want to write my own words to match my drawing,

I'll write it myself.

I wrote some letters in soft color

and drew the outline with a brush.

I drew the outline to make it look like a sticker.

I drew the flower with the round brush

and drew the outline.

I will skip some parts of the butterfly

to make it look simple.

I copied one of the wings and flipped it upside down.

Do the same for the small heart, using the horizontally flip function,

and then copy and paste them.

Use the flip tool to draw symmetrical shapes.

Copy several copies on the position that we've sketched.

Now, let's draw the confetti

by imagining what the flow will be

like when the ribbon bends.

If you alternate the thin

and wide areas,

it will look more natural.

Now that we're almost done with the objects,

let's adjust the size and position.

But lastly, the objects at the top right corner

are too small, so they don't look dense,

so I'm going to draw a rainbow which is a bigger object.

I sketched again

and drew the lines.

Now we really have the line art.

Thinking about the importance of the objects based on the triangle composition,

we drew the props one by one to match the overall mood of the drawing.

We skipped a lot,

but we redid the character about five times,

and there were so many props we had to draw.

It took us a long time to finish the line drawing.

But seeing a full canvas without any empty spaces

makes me feel very proud.

While drawing when you're tired and exhausted,

imagine a beautiful drawing!

For the next lesson,

we're going to color this line drawing

in two versions which are pastel tone and vivid tone.

We'll use more colors than before,

and I'll tell you what to be careful of when you use each color.
