Hello.

We're already halfway through the lecture.

Now that we've established our foundation

and designed our own characters from the previous chapters,

it's time to draw a complete illustration.

There's the main character that I want to emphasize,

and there's also a supporting character who decorates the artwork.

If the main character is too insignificant,

or if the supporting characters stand out from the main character, it will affect the balance.

Compositioning is when you plan

to place objects on top of the space called the layout,

so that the main characters can be main characters and supporting

characters can be seen effectively.

First, let's make a nice layout of the three

circles of different sizes on the canvas.

The person most noticeable among these

three must be the biggest red circle.

If you think about it simply,

you should be in the middle to see it the best,

but then you won't know where to put other objects.

So move it a little bit to the outside,

but place it slightly

across the centerline so that it doesn't go too far from the center.

Second, mark the location of the big circle because the protagonist

is on the right side,

so let's place it on the other side, the left side, in a wider space.

Again, place it along the centerline.

Lastly, the smallest circle will

naturally be placed in the lower right quadrant

where there's plenty of space.

When you draw a vertical horizontal line in the middle of the circle,

you don't want any overlapping lines.

Now, if you add various secondary elements to the empty space,

it will be really easy and effective to lay out the layout.

These secondary elements

must be smaller and less visible than the three big circles.

When something

important is placed in a triangle, it's called a triangle.

Illustrations, photos,

and posters are often used in layouts.

It's a very stable frame,

so no matter how you look from any angle,

it can make you feel comfortable.

I'll use triangles as an example to show you a few of my drawings,

first of all,

in this case, in the order of the characters, the car, and the sign.

There's three elements that form a triangle,

so you don't feel like you're missing anything, you feel like you're safe.

And each of those elements has to be aligned in a different way.

There are so many elements in this drawing that make it

look complicated, but the most obvious one is the character, the king,

and the character sticker.

In this case,

I overlapped two objects

to make it look like one element.

I placed the objects on top of the table similarly,

but at different heights

so that they don't end up looking monotonous.

Of course, not all drawings need to be drawn in triangular shapes.

You can move away from

the stable composition and create dynamic and tense composition.

A triangle is a convenient way

to balance the frame.

Now, I'll draw a heart-shaped frame

on the main character

and draw the characters inside.

I'm going to do a one-handed,

chin-in-the-chin mirror selfie of a high-school girl,

with a flip phone,

to give her that retro look.

She's winking at her selfie.

I'm going to give you a classic high-teen hairstyle with straight hair

and a one-stroke headband.

Let's make your phone a little cuter.

Now that it looks more formal,

let's adjust the heart-shaped frame and the character's position.

When you draw a face or a torso,

but if you frame it like this,

it becomes a component in itself.

So you can place it more easily.

I made the sizes bigger.

Next, in the second position, there are a lot of details to add,

not to the main character,

so let's draw an object that catches your eye.

I'm going to draw a mehron soda based

on the retro high-tech concept.

I'll refer to the photo you took

and look up the image of mehon soda and draw it as a reference.

I chose this because I thought there would be a lot of elements

that would make the glass and ice look transparent and vibrant.

I think the size is too big,

so I'll adjust it. In the third space, I'll draw a doll.

Any doll or a small character has a mouth.

Since you can freely express express your facial expressions

and decorate it with decorations,

you often draw an object when there's nothing else you can draw.

I thought about what shape to draw the ears in,

what kind of facial expression to add,

and what kind of decoration to add.

After sketching the three important elements,

we adjusted their sizes to balance them out.

Now, in the rest of the spaces, add small details

that make you feel like you're in a high-school mood.

Make sure your drawing isn't bigger

and more complicated than the first three.

I like to add script to the mood of my drawing.

The next one I'm going to do is I'm going

to do self-capture girl and I'm going

to write the word self-capture

and I'm going to do a borderline that looks like a sticker.

I'll fill the rest of the empty spaces

with my favorite objects and simple shapes.

I drew flowers and butterflies and filled all the empty spaces.

Now, let's draw some small hearts and glitter

to fill the small areas.

In these small and long spaces, let's draw a long candelabra.

In this empty space,

let's add a different type of lettering.

I've finished

composing the drawing using a triangle.
