All language subtitles for 3.3 Different Make-Up Styles for Each Skin Tone

Hello.

In this lesson, we're going to color the characters we drew last time

and express the makeup with a suitable tone.

First, I will separate the two characters

and fill in the outline first.

I noted the temporary color palette
that we've worked on last time

We just filled the outline

and grouped them on top of the layers and clipped the groups.

If you group them together

when you have multiple objects

to color with, it will be easier to organize them.

Now, I'm going to add a layer

inside the group and paint the base color.

It's a simple procedure, so I'll show it to you quickly.

Color the skin color first.

I'll show you different expressions of the makeup later,

so I paint the skin of the two characters slightly differently.

Next, create a new layer
and paint her hair.

I'll clearly paint the bangs

that I didn't use lines for.

They look a little empty,

so I'll add another strand of baby hair and edit the sketch.

While working on the base color,

we will add something like this,
if we missed something from the line drawing.

Once again, add a layer to a group

of another character and paint her hair.

We can erase the amount of bangs
we want to divide.

or we can fill it in too.

There aren't enough lines on the back of the hair

so I'll add more lines.

I'll add a new layer between the skin layer and the head layer

and then paint the clothes.

I painted it a darker color
to make it easier to distinguish

and changed it back to its original color.

Also, paint the other character by layering

according to the order of the clothes.

Now that we've colored the bottom layer

we'll adjust the color.

If we separate the layers like this

we can easily change the color

by using the Clipping Mask.

I did some rough colors while sketching,

but it feels different when it was only the line drawing.

These fine adjustments

vary depending on the individual's taste and senses,

so there is no correct answer.

As you change the color gradually, you find the color that makes

the most sense when you see it with your own eyes.

I'll go back to the original speed

and add more details.

I was impressed by the hairstyle of a singer from the K-pop band
with the highlight recently,

so I'll add it to the character.

Again, on the top of the head layer,

Clipping Mask,

select a bright color and color it.

If you remember the clothes and accessories

that you thought were pretty,

and use them to draw,

you'll have a more detailed character.

I want the highlights to stand out more,

so I'm going to change the base color of your hair to be darker,

and I'm going to change the clothes back

to be darker to match your darker hair.

I think the color balance is getting better.

Now, I'm going to color the face

more thoroughly through the expressions of the makeup.

I really enjoy expressing different makeup

based on the personality of the character.

This time, I've deliberately changed the skin tone of the character
to a slightly different tone.

For the character who is chic,

I painted her with a slightly orange tint,

and for the cute character,

we painted her face a pale pink color.

When a different base tone is applied,

the tone of the makeup

that goes on top of it should also change.

I'll start with the blusher.

Choose a spreading brush,

lower the density, and make it transparent.

I also chose a slightly darker color

than
the skin tone and slightly redder color.

Just like an actual blusher,

gently color it with a very light color.

The key is to add multiple layers

of color without making it too dark.

Also, color the ends of the ears and the fingers

where the blood flows so that they look pink.

I'm going to color the blusher for the other character first.

Once again, I'll pick a pink color
that's darker than the skin tone and color it.

I also colored the ends of the ears
and the fingers.

Now, I'm going to zoom in a little more
and add eye shadow.

Just like putting on makeup,

pick a color that's slightly less saturated

and color it for a base color.

Then pick a darker color and color it
for the narrower area than the base color

on a smaller area than the base color.

I've also colored along with the under-eye line.

Lastly, pick a darker color

and color the part near the eyeliner.

Now, let's color the lips

with a toned-down beige lip

to match the character's chic monotone image.

Color it as enough as you want.

And I chose a redder color to make

a gradient on the inside of the lips.

It's the exact same process as the real makeup,
isn't it?

I'll draw the makeup on the face of the other character
in the same way.

Because of the bangs,
the eyeshadow isn't visible.

So I highlighted the under-eye line.

Color the lips pink suitable for
the image of the character.

Now, let's color the pupils.

I used a tone similar to her hair,

but I think it's too bland,

so I'll use a low-saturated sky blue.

I'll add a white highlight to the iris

and pink color at the bottom

to make the eyes look brighter,

and it'll match the overall color.

I'll color the other character
with light gray eyes.

I'll add more details with a light color.

Now, I'll add the whites of the iris.

I chose a very light skin color

rather than complete white color.

It's really subtle,

but it's softer and more natural
than when it's completely white.

The same thing happened with the teeth.
I painted them with light skin color.

I'll color the rest of the character
with the whites of the iris.

Now, I'm going to add some color to the lines.

First, I'm going to add a Clipping Mask

to the entire line drawing group and blends it brown.

Just like we did with the object drawing,

let's loosen up the partial lines.

If the color of the face is too saturated,

It doesn't look pink,

so I'll use a darker but more saturated color.

For the under lashes and crease lines, soften them

to match the skin tone so that they don't stand out.

Loosen the outer corner of the pupil
according to the color of the pupil.

Now, paint the lines
for small areas such as earrings.

I painted the ring neatly so that it
is separated from the finger line.

Loosen the wrinkles on the cardigan
and the wrinkles on the clothes.

I'll do the same for the other character.

For the eyelid creases, color then neatly

avoiding eyelashes and eyeliner.

I colored the parts
where the eyebrows and hair overlap.

Find the right color and loosen them up.

Fix the areas that need to be dark.

For the necklace,
I loosen them with a softer color than the clothes

I'll continue to loosen the rest of the line colors.

I separated the line color of the buckle.

I'll change the color of the nail to a pink

that matches the character better.

Lastly, I will let you know

the useful makeup tips

Right now,
it's more like matte makeup.

If you highlight parts of your makeup

with a light color like this, you can express the shiny makeup.

But I think matte looks better on
these characters,

so I'm going with matte.

This is an example of expressing
glossy and shiny makeup.

The overall look of the drawing shines brightly,

so expressing the makeup on this side suits it better.

In this lesson, we tried using tones that match

your skin tone,

but you can pop makeup using bold and strong colors.

We're already at the third chapter.

In this chapter,

we're going to work on creating your own personal characters,

using expressions that match your character,

poses, hair, and the way you express makeup.

more attractive and livelier.
