Hello. You must have been surprised

due to those two bald heads.

Now, I'm going to draw straight and curly hair

on top of this head and give you tips on

how to make braids look natural at the end.

When you draw a character, your hair is just

as important as your eyes and nose.

When you draw the hair,

don't think of it as drawing

individual strands of hair, but as drawing

multiple layers of flat and wide ribbons.

If you draw with the flow of the hair,

it will look more natural.

Let's first draw straight hair with bangs.

Usually, there's a crown

near the top of the head,

and divide the hair into big sections along with the round shape.

The hair is also thick, so it will be slightly thicker than the head.

Subtitled by -♪ online-courses.club ♪- We compress knowledge for you! https://t.me/joinchat/ailxpXoW3JVjYzQ1

The head falls and meets the shoulder.

I'm going

to draw the hair behind the ear as if it's a ribbon.

The hair at the back will bend because of the shoulders.

I'll draw

a ribbon on one of the hair strands

I will draw the bang.

Now, I'm going to divide the bangs into smaller bangs.

If they are evenly spaced like this,

it will look unnatural and simple.

Divide them so that the gaps vary.

Add different long and short lines.

This is the same thing. I made sure

that the lines are not evenly spaced.

Let's erase the unnecessary parts and clean it up.

Let's divide this part too.

For sideburns, you can either add short lines

or draw long lines.

Now, we are going to divide the side hair.

Imagine drawing an evenly spaced line on a sphere.

The further you go, the narrower the gap will be.

The head is also round,

so if you make it tighter,

you can make it look rounder.

Now, let's draw the back of the hair.

If you imagine that it will be shaded, this part will be dark.

I will draw a tight line here

and this part will be big.

If you add a tight layer and hide the rest,

the lines here will become more dense, so just by drawing the lines,

you can express the shading.

The line that drawn like a ribbon,

even if the lines crack, it looks more natural.

Let's make one thin strand stick out.

There are many ways to tidy up the ends of the hair.

You can also tidy it with a line.

When you're coloring, you can also tidy it up as the face.

The straight hair is done.

Now, let's draw the curly pigtail without bangs.

First, let's draw the centerline to mark the parting

and the hairline where it's tied.

The hair is curvy compared to the head.

When you tie the hair up,

the back of the hair will go up and down slightly like this due to gravity.

There will be some baby hair sticking out,

and the hair will be raised around the crown

Now, I'm going to draw the lines that are stretched in a tied direction.

Thinking about the rounded three-dimensional shape of the head,

draw the natural flowed hair.

The closer you get to the back, the more three-dimensional it looks.

Let's draw the other side too.

Now, I'm going to divide the face into short lines

and try to keep in mind that there are many different areas.

I've added some baby hair in the front.

Let's clean up the unnecessary part

and draw the ponytail.

I drew the outline of the wave first.

Now, let's refine it with short lines to divide the face.

Let's draw a ribbon in the middle

and then draw the strands that merge back together.

When you draw the wavy hair,

Subtitled by -♪ online-courses.club ♪- We compress knowledge for you! https://t.me/joinchat/ailxpXoW3JVjYzQ1

feel free to draw the lines that go out and in.

Let's erase the parts that are in the way.

Let's tidy up the underside of the hair and divide it into smaller faces.

Let's draw another ribbon hair

and give it different silhouettes.

The one side is done.

Now, let's draw the other side quickly.

Again, start with a curvature.

As you divide the face, draw the protruding ribbon hair.

If you draw carefully so that the gaps aren't even,

the other side is almost done.

For the parts that don't look finished,

you can clean up the lines like you did before,

but you can also divide them in the coloring stage.

The wavy hair is done.

When you draw wavy hair, let's use relatively free curves

and experiment with different types of lines.

Now, as a bonus,

I'll teach you how to draw braids naturally.

First, draw the path of the braids.

Instead of drawing them in a straight line, I've drawn similar to curvy hair.

Normally, braids look like this.

If you draw them all,

it'll look

too detailed and stuffy compared to the other parts.

In the last chapter,

do you remember how I drew the necklace?

I'll draw the same outline again.

Following the path you've drawn,

let's draw the curves of the braids naturally.

The more irregular you draw,

the more natural it looks.

Also, let's not draw the same details inside.

Let's draw some parts

and skip some parts.

This way,

it will be easier and natural to draw braids.

This time, we drew two types of hair,

straight hair and wavy hair.

Drawing the hair along with the rounded head shape,

thinking of the hair like a wide ribbon,

and making sure the area divided by lines doesn't become even

If you remember these tips I gave you

in this lesson,

you'll be able to draw any hairstyle more smoothly.

This is the basic drawing of the face.

Don't you want to start drawing your own character?

There's a mission.

Draw your own character's face from three different angles and share it with me.

Use the face ratio that we've learned

in the previous lesson,

Also, apply the tips on how to draw the facial features, and even how to draw the hair.

If you are still having a bit of a hard time, you can just draw

one angle, or if you can handle it,

you can change the facial expressions.

I'm looking forward to seeing your

unique charming characters.

In the next lesson, we'll learn some tips

that will make drawing the human body easier on the hands, feet, and the whole body.

We'll see you in the next lesson.
