the people are willing to drop the charges

you're gunning for jail time.

And while the mayor's financial advisers
are scrambling for solutions,

the subsequent increase
in violent crime spreads

the already strained Gotham City
Police Department even thinner.

And in a surprising twist
this afternoon, Selina Kyle,

the so-called Catwoman, was released
with no charges brought against her.

She'd allegedly been the prime suspect
in a series of jewelry thefts

on the Upper East Side.

- They let her go.
- Indeed, sir.

But apparently,
she has promised never to do it again.

- ...and declined to press charges.
- [grunts]

[cat meows, purrs]

Your old mama
had some very fine sparklies.

I promise to take real good care of them.

[grunts, yells]

photos, the whole deal.
