What's good YouTube, it's your boy Jamal

Abiade and I'm here back again with yet

another YouTube video. Today we're gonna

do something quick and easy for the

producers how to correctly upload a beat

onto your Big Stars account. It's 2023

right now and late last year, BeatStars

has updated their accounts and updated

their process of how to upload beats. And

I haven't seen any videos how to

correctly upload the beats on BeatStars

right now. I'm actually gonna upload one

of my personal beats. So I'm gonna show

you guys exactly what I do so you guys

can do it too. This way we'll make you

guys get the best search results, the

best sound quality and just the overall

best professionalism when selling beats.

Book you guys, enough of all that. Let's

get into this video. How to correctly

upload beats onto BeatStars in 2023.

Alright, let's get it. Chill.

Alright you guys, so let's get into it.

First thing first, you need to have a

BeatStars account. Obviously. So I'm on

BeatStars.com. This is what it is. First

thing you know, I'm gonna sign in. So

when you log in, it's gonna be looking

something like this. You see this all

going on. It's gonna look something like

this. You can add content in two ways.

You can hit the studio and go that way.

Or you can go scroll down, add content,

create track, create album, create

service, create kits. I'm

just gonna go create a track.

Boom. It's gonna take you to the

BeatStars Studios. This is the new way to

do this, the BeatStars Studios. If you

have never used it before, if you ever

upload beats in a little bit, this is the

official new way to do in 2023. So next

thing you wanna do is add a track.

Boom. Alright, so let's do it. It's three

levels of services on BeatStars. I think

it's the beginner pro and it's something

like, it's something else. Three

beginners. I have the middle one that I

think is the pro page. So it should look

like this. So if you're missing some of

these things, steps I'm showing you is

probably because you're not upgraded to

the, this level of service on BeatStars.

So anyways, we have the files. We have

the untagged audio file upload, track

stems, and track audio. So these are

audio files available for download and

these are the audio files available for

streaming. So let's get this right. It

says upload MP3 or WAV files only. So

when you do the untagged audio, you

always wanna do a WAV file.(...) A WAV

file will just one tag in the front.

Alright.(...) Track stems are like what

it sounds like. Track stems the whole,

the whole beat session and every audio

track separately. The last thing is the

audio files for streaming is the tagged

audio.(...) For this, I used to do MP3

files and I put a lot of my Jamal Abiyade

tags all over it. Why is that? Cause this

is gonna be the thing they're gonna be

streaming and this is the stuff people

will steal your streams off of YouTube,

especially if you put your beats on

YouTube, put the tagged audio, put the

MP3, because people will rip that off of

YouTube and put a whole bunch of tags on

there so they can't use your beat without

going towards you and buying the beat.

Alright. So let's go. So first thing you

wanna do is do the untagged audio.

Alright. So when you do the untagged

audio, just how it sounds, this is logic

and whatever, this works for whatever

doll you're using, but I'm using logic.

So the untagged audio, only thing you

wanna do is keep it real simple. I have

my master on. I'm turning off my master

cause you don't want a master. For the

untagged audio, you don't wanna master.

The people wanna master their own stuff.

Alright. So let me make this very clear.

For the untagged audio,

you don't want the master.

Because they're gonna download this and

put this in the session. Let them master

their own stuff. You don't wanna master

on top of a master. So untagged, right?

Go over here, boom.

I'm gonna mute all these tags. These are

all my tags. You hear the tag?

(Music) You see how many tags there are

because you're not gonna just steal my

stuff. So when you're doing this, all I'm

gonna do is bounce it. And you guys

don't, it doesn't have to be logic,

however you guys bounce it in your doll.

Before I start, it's

just Latin guitar type beat.

And I actually label it. This is what I

do to make stuff easier. I label it no

tag, no master. And as you see too, guys,

I renamed the session. I renamed the

session what I want the beat to be named

on beat stars or YouTube or wherever I

put it. So I bounce it. I

bounce it to my downloads.

Now I'm gonna do one more too. So I'm

gonna untag this, right?

Unmute that. And I'm gonna turn my master

back on, right? And I'm gonna do one more

and I'm gonna bounce it with all the tags

and with the master and as an MP3. And

this will be for all the streaming

services when I put it on beat stars. So

I'm gonna undo the wave, put the MP3 on

there. Boom, 166, bounce.

Now I'm gonna change, it says no tag, no

master. I'm gonna change that to tagged

and master. Go to

downloads, boom, bounce.

Let's go back to beat stars. Now I'm on

beat stars. I'm gonna do tagged audio,

boom, audio,(...) upload,

(...) go to my downloads.

It's right here, downloads right here.

So I wanna do no tag, no

master. So it's gonna be this one.

So that's what gonna

be upload,(...) boom.

It takes a little second to upload,

upload and I uploaded my wave file. My

wave file untagged and no master. You

don't want a master on it because you

don't want them to have to put a master

on a master when they finally wrap on it.

So no master so they can use it in the

studio the correct way. All right, boom.

So look, it's uploaded. You see it's

uploaded because it says now it's just

replaced. Now it's generating the MP3

version with tagged audio, okay? But I'm

gonna show you that we're not gonna keep

their version. Let me say you why I don't

like the version. I put their own tag on.

I think, you know, beat star bad is buy

this purchase, this beat. I don't like

that. It's a little loud, it's

aggressive, a little

generic. So I'm gonna upload.

I'm gonna upload again from that for the

tag audio and I'm gonna do the MP3 tagged

version with the master on it. Why am I

doing a master for this one? Because this

is just a streaming, this is just a

streaming file. Streaming file, I wanna

be a master on it because I wanna be

loud. I wanna be aggressive. I wanna do

the drum to bang, but I don't need that

for the wave file that they're gonna

download for the studio

session. It's too different.

So upload that, it's processing. And that

one says Jamal Abiade all through the

track because we wanna stop people from

trying to steal our beats and all that.

So we got that. Now we need the track

stems. You guys know we're track stems.

Track stems are all these different

tracks, audio separate so they can get an

engineer in there to make their own beat.

So what you wanna do when you do the

track stems, you wanna take the master

off, fellas. Ladies and gentlemen, please

take the master off and I wanna mute one

more time all these, right? Now B-Start

folder, B-Start track out stems, it's the

folder I use. I'ma create a new folder

and name it what the track is because why

am I doing this? Because we need some

place to put the stems, all right? We

need a safe place to put all these stems,

all right? Go back to logic,(...) boom,

file,(...) export, export all tracks and

audio. You can do this on whatever DAW

you're using, Fudilose Pro Tools. Just do

it the way you do it. You know, you don't

have to follow these steps. It works for

every, these steps work for any DAW.

Desktop, U-Start folder.

This is the one, Jack Harlow, Toy, Lime,

and Youmall. Boom, boom, boom. Bypass

plugin effects include note. These track

out stems are for the engineer to do it

what he likes with the track out stems.

And now you put export.

Boom, export. Now go back to the thing.

It's right here. All

the files are in there.

Control,(...) compress,(...) and we're

making it into a zip file. So however you

guys make your photo to a zip file,

that's what it needs to be. It needs to

be a zip file, so it'll be small enough

to upload onto B-Stars. So

make sure it's a zip file.

Now we're going, now

we're back at B-Stars.

So track stems, upload a zip file or a

rare file, a RAR file. I'm a Mac, so I

don't use a zip file. I'm sure that RAR

is for Windows.(...) So we

go upload,(...) boom, browse.

I know where to go. Go to my desktop. Go

to my YouTube.(...)

Right here, boom, upload.

And the good thing is about this, once

you start to get this, you can actually

go to the next information. So we can

keep on going while this upload. That's a

beautiful thing about this. All right. So

next thing you know, we go to the basic

info. You're only allowed 60 characters.

(...) And when you upload, this is why I

like uploading music with the correct

name. You see myself was already titled

how I wanted to be titled on B-Stars

because when you upload a file, it just

puts all the information right here. So

I'm just going to change it up a little

bit. Put capital letters on all these and

delete all these dashes it has. Jack

Harlow. All right, cool. Got you. Type B.

Release date. I'm going to release it

right now. I'm just going to put, release

it right now. But release date, you can't

plan ahead of time, but I'm just going to

release it right now. Description

optional. I do not do description, but

you should because the more information

you put on, the easier it's going to be.

(...) This is for selling preferences,

glued from both discounts. We're not

going to do that. Now

metadata. This is very important.

So you got, you got tags. Do all the

tags, do all the metadata, you guys. It's

a pain to fill out, but it's, it helps

you pull up in the search engines more.

So we're going to do Jack Harlow. What

kind of genre it is. It already picks

your genre, but I'm going to do this. I'm

going to take out, I'm

going to put Latin trap.

Add that. Boom.(...) I'm going to put R

and B and I'm just

going to put regular trap.

Boom.(...) So moods, what's trap? Boom.

So moods, you can actually go through and

look through the moods. I know the moods.

So like they have so many moods. I'm

going to put bouncy for one of them.

Boom. You can pick up to five moods and

this helps people

find your beat for sure.

I'm going to put epic.(...) Boom. And I'm

going to put, they actually have one

called flirty. Romantic. I like romantic.

Actually I like romantic. Boom. I'm going

to take off epic and they have a flirty

and I like that one because it beat is

very flirty. So boom. Do that. The keys

in BPM. They already say 78 BPM. I think

it's actually 77. No, 78. Perfect. So

they actually did your BPM for you. They

did the key for you. Now the instruments,

instruments is very important too. You

can put all your instruments in there.

Acoustic guitar. You can look through the

instruments they have. I know because I

post so many beats. Boom.

Percussion.

Boom. We're going to do a bass guitar.

(...) Boom. And actually banjo. I put

multiple things in. Like I just put a lot

of stuff in. Symbols.

Boom. And I really try to max it out.

Piccolo.(...) And I do have

a piano in there for sure.

Piano. I try to max it out. And you max

it out at one, two, three, four, five,

six. I think seven you max it out at. Now

we got the metadata. We got everything we

need for the metadata. We got the basic

info. Got the metadata.

And actually we need to do edit artwork

too.(...) So we're going to edit artwork.

Upload file. I already have artwork

ready. So I'm just

going to click that. Boom.

Save. Boom. I already have it ready.

Made. If you need to know how to make

artwork, you actually use Canva. Canva I

think is free a little. You guys should

go to Canva.com. I think you have to

purchase it. But I think it has some free

aspects to it too. So go to Canva.

So I got the file. Got the basic info.

Got the metadata.(...) Now we got the

pricing. Now if yours doesn't look like

that, like this is because you don't have

all the, you don't have the plan I have.

I think I have the pro plan. So I get a

couple of licensing.

So my license is exclusive. It's $2.50.

You get a wave MP3 stems. The basic

license is $30.(...) The premium license

wave and MP3 is $50. Premium plus

license. 100 waves, MP3 stems. You can do

a free tag MP3 or free. I don't do

anything for free for my beats. We work

too hard on them. But I understand the

sale tactics. I understand it. So

collaborators, if you want to add a

collaborative, like you say, if you're a

collaboration beat, you work with

somebody else, you can add them here. If

you use a third party loop, like a

sample, you can add the loop. I did not

use a loop for this one. So I mean, I did

not use a loop. I need a, I use a royalty

free loop for this one. So I don't have

to do this. Cool. After that, after you

have all that information, all you have

to do is hit publish.

It's published. And look at that. All you

do is publish. Look at that. Your beat is

now up there and your route ready to make

some beats. It's that simple. You get to

share link, show on the marketplace. You

can do whatever you want to do. Just that

easy, but you have to take those steps to

make sure you're upload those beat

correctly. Why do we take those steps? So

you want to upload the right correct

files for your users and your purchasers.

You want to make sure you use all that

metadata. So it'll be easier to search

and they pop up more in the search engine

and you just want to be professional. So

that's the reason why we take all those

steps and to upload and beat stars. And I

know the video is a little long, but when

you get a hang of it, it's promise you it

was very, very quick

and it's very, very easy.

Look you guys, enough of all that. Thank

you for watching this video. I'll be here

next week. Same time with another YouTube

video, another YouTube tutorial. All

right. You have a good one.
