Before the war, he was busy

none of them left Russia.

I had no time to qualify.

The qualifications

and because of Sasha's death,

I decided not to participate
in the Olympic qualifications,

so I'm not going to Paris this year.

have been allowed to participate

if I run into them.

I still don't understand how I'm

He was exempt from military service.

He was a senior in college,

was the head of his study group,
spoke English and Polish.

He had a great future ahead.

and I have to defend our country."

Those were his words.

He said: "Your dad fought
in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
