pole position today

and three checkered

It looks like a clean start
for all of today's drivers.

Halfway through the race,

it's Coltrane,
Falcon, the leaders.

They've traded the lead
about a dozen times,

and there's plenty of
race action left, folks.

Coltrane, driving
for Freddy Forbes,

was leader early
on in the season,

but then Team Cherokee
started to move out of the pack.

And now, folks, we
have a real barnburner,

one of the most exciting
rivalries in racing history.

And as we come
down to the final stages,

this has turned
into a two-man race

between defending
champ Wade Coltrane

of Team Forbes in first,

and upstart
newcomer Brian Falcon

of Team Cherokee in second.

But it'll sure be tough
for a rookie like Falcon

to pass a seasoned
veteran like Coltrane.

go out and turn their
dream into a reality?
