consistent with a high fall

onto a hard surface.

want to challenge you

to recognize who the
users are in this school,

break these handcuffs,

everything I've got

to snap these chains.

to snap the chains of your past,

and realize that the users
and the fake friends...

they won't be there

for somebody else, that can

You may not have power
to be a world-class athlete,

but everyone of you do
have the power inside you

to be a world-class person.

And that's a whole
lot more important.

I want to challenge every
one of you young people.

This world needs you.

So don't let anybody steal
your dreams or your goals.

Don't let anybody put you down.

Let these chains represent

every negative word
anyone's ever told you,

every name anyone's
ever tried to hang on you,

every label, every
discouragement,

every tough time,

and as I try to snap
both these chains,

just remember,
this is the first day

of the rest of your life.

You can make it. You
can make the right choices.

Your life can make a difference.
