NARRATOR: A mysterious underground temple
that holds gigantic stone coffins.
It's humungous.
You can walk underneath it.
NARRATOR: A 16,000-year-old monument
that appears to float in midair.
NIKKI TSUKAMOTO: This monolith is said to be related to
the heavenly rock ship.
NARRATOR: Ancient engineering feats far ahead of their time.
Someone or some ones had extraordinary knowledge here.
-This is not easy to build. -No.
NARRATOR: On Ancient Aliens, we've traveled to many
mysterious sites that seem to defy explanation.
Now we take a look back at some of the most incredible
structures we've visited all over the world.
Structures, that according to ancient astronaut theorists,
provide undeniable evidence of extraterrestrial contact.
♪ ♪
On Ancient Aliens, we have traveled to some
of the most incredible structures on the planet.
Structures that offer compelling evidence
that our ancestors were visited by extraterrestrials.
And some of the world's most extraordinary examples
can be found in ancient Egypt, like the Great Sphinx,
the Pyramids of Giza and the Luxor Temple.
But Egypt is also home to a site that a lot of people
don't even know about, and one I think is amazing.
The Serapeum of Saqqara.
And when I went to see it in person
with Egyptologist Ramy Romany,
it absolutely blew my mind.
NARRATOR: Saqqara, Egypt.
1850.
While on an expedition to recover
ancient manuscripts for the Louvre Museum
in Paris, French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette
spots a strange object sticking out of the sand.
Intrigued, Mariette has the sand cleared away
and finds large rocks blocking what looks to be
the entrance to an underground chamber.
After using explosives to remove them, he gains entrance
to a tomb complex,
also known as the Serapeum.
In April 2018, ancient astronaut theorist
Giorgio Tsoukalos and Egyptologist
and Cairo native Ramy Romany
visited this mysterious site.
-The Serapeum of Saqqara, Giorgio. -Yes.
Oh, it's magnificent.
The name Serapeum comes from Serapis,
-which is Apis bull and Osiris. -Yes.
-Right. -Combined together in one Greek god.
NARRATOR: Located deep beneath the desert surface,
lies a 790-foot-long passageway.
There, within a series of alcoves
neatly carved out of the limestone rock,
are 24 gigantic stone sarcophagi.
Each sarcophagus measures approximately 13 feet long,
seven and a half feet wide and over ten feet tall.
But just how the ancient Egyptians
managed to transport these massive granite boxes
remains unknown,
as does their intended purpose.
ROMANY: So this is one of the most mysterious
places in all of Egypt, Giorgio.
Look how far all this goes.
The boxes themselves are, what, 70 to 75 tons?
-Mm-hmm. -And then the lids
are estimated to be 20 to 25 tons.
It's one of the most mysterious things about
this place is really how
they managed to bring
these heavy structures all the way down here
when we're breathing heavily just to get to the end.
Can we actually go down to some of these?
Of course we can.
Wow.
You know, I've always read about these.
I've seen pictures, but it's humungous.
You can walk underneath it.
NARRATOR: As far as conventional Egyptologists
and archaeologists are concerned,
the sarcophagi were meant to house
the remains of the sacred Apis bulls.
But as only one of the tombs was found to contain
animal remains and all the others were found empty,
the true nature of the Serapeum is a source of deep contention.
The Apis bull is a representation for god Osiris
and there's something very important to mention.
Ancient Egyptians did not worship animals.
Their concept was the gods sent the animals to be
their messengers, and we have to respect them in that way.
ANDREW COLLINS: It was said that the first ever
Apis bull was created
when a ray of light
came down from heaven itself and struck
this cow
who produced the first Apis bull.
So there is some relationship between
the bull itself and the stars.
The sides, and also here the bottom...
(stammers) the polishing is perfect.
And we can illustrate this by just looking at the angle.
I mean, it's a perfect 90-degree angle.
Check this out. It is absolute perfection.
It's easy to cut limestone.
But to cut basalt is a...
(chuckles) That's a different story.
What do these inscriptions here say?
These inscriptions were extremely important.
You see the doors, specifically, the so-called false doors.
They were the doors that allowed the spirit, the ka and the ba--
the spirit and the soul-- to come out from the mummy.
And then read the hieroglyphic inscriptions.
They wanted to make sure
that these Apis bulls come back to life.
Go to eternity, so they could stay
with Osiris in the sky.
Ancient historians' accounts,
like Herodotus, Strabo,
Eusebius, all of these...
old, old chroniclers speak of a...
a former glory age of Egypt known as the Golden Age.
Which some have suggested dates back as far as 10,500 BC.
So is it possible that what we have right here
may be a remnant of that time?
When it comes to dating, I don't have a response.
I can't tell you for a fact
that this was made 3,000 years ago.
Till today there's a debate on when were these made.
NARRATOR: Egypt's Golden Age was a time when humans
are said to have shared the Earth with the gods.
Gods that, according to the ancient astronaut theory,
were not mythological figures, but extraterrestrial visitors.
And there are those who believe that the figure of the Apis bull
can be found carved into one of the sarcophagi
not because these giant stone coffins held mummified bulls,
but because the Apis bull represented
a connection to the stars.
COLLINS: It is a fact that when most of these
gigantic sarcophagi were opened, nothing was inside them.
But in my opinion...
I think that this acted as some kind
of otherworldly environment
for communication with the cosmos itself.
And that the bulls simply represented
the points of contact with the cosmic beings themselves.
It doesn't make sense that these were built for mummified bulls.
First of all...
they're too big for the bulls.
They're beyond human scale.
In order for a human to get into them,
you would first have to remove the 15- to 20-ton lid
that was placed on top of these boxes.
And then climb up a ladder to get into them.
Is it possible that what we're looking at here is
an extraterrestrial technology that was used
thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt?
What could possibly be the purpose of these boxes?
What function did they serve?
It's an incredible question.
NARRATOR: Is it possible that the massive
sarcophagi contained within the Serapeum of Saqqara
were constructed more than 10,000 years ago
during a period when extraterrestrials
inhabited the Earth?
Ancient astronaut theorists say yes,
and suggest an even more direct ET connection can be found
by exploring the prehistoric megaliths of Japan.
Some of the most incredible structures to have traveled
that have me convinced that we've been visited
by extraterrestrials are the ones that look
just like flying craft.
And when I went to Japan,
I had the honor to see two ancient stone carvings
that are believed to represent flying ships
witnessed by the people who lived there
thousands of years ago.
NARRATOR: Honshu, Japan. April 2017.
Near the modern-day city of Osaka,
Giorgio Tsoukalos meets with fellow ancient astronaut
theorist Takeharu Mikami, to investigate one of the oldest
and holiest sites in the country.
The Ishi-no-Hoden megalith is a giant stone monument
carved out of the bedrock on the mountainside and is believed
by some researchers to date back an astonishing 16,000 years.
(speaking Japanese)
TSOUKALOS: Wow.
It's gigantic.
This is... I had no idea.
I mean, it is massive.
(speaking Japanese)
TSUKAMOTO: The rock itself is said to weigh about 500 tons.
-500 tons? Wow. -Yes.
Okay. That's amazing.
I-I want to... I need to walk around.
Very weird.
I mean, I had no idea how massive this is.
(Mikami speaking Japanese)
So you want to just look down below here.
It looks like it's floating over the water.
TSOUKALOS: It really does.
(Mikami speaking Japanese)
TSUKAMOTO: The name for this rock is... (speaks Japanese)
or "the floating rock from the heavens."
(speaking Japanese)
TSUKAMOTO: So this monolith is said to be related to one of the first
gods that descended from the heavens to Japan,
and he is said to have traveled over the country
on a sky ship made out of a giant rock,
which was called "Ama no Iwafune,"
which is "the heavenly rock ship."
So what you're telling me is that there is
an ancient Japanese legend that speaks of a deity
flying around in the sky
with a gigantic vehicle made of stone?
-Absolutely. -(Tsoukalos laughs)
So do you think that is the reason why it was called
a vehicle made of stone,
because it was so powerful and strong
and virtually indestructible
that the story became, it's a vehicle made of stone?
(speaking Japanese)
You're absolutely right, because the gods were
flying over the land on a giant ship.
It wasn't a plane because it didn't have wings.
It looked like a ship made out of very hard material
that was like a very hard stone.
And they would descend from the heavens
and down onto the land,
and thus, they would travel around the country.
TSOUKALOS: It's absolutely impressive.
To me, the Ishi-no-Hoden megalith was an attempt
by our ancestors to document an extraterrestrial visitation.
And they chose this incredibly hard stone
as a way to represent the color and indestructible
nature of the craft they saw in the sky.
As if this wasn't proof enough of alien contact,
during my trip to Japan, I investigated
another ancient site with an almost identical legend.
Does that say rock ship?
-Masuda rock ship... -Oh, all right.
NARRATOR: Giorgio Tsoukalos and ancient astronaut
theorist Takeharu Mikami
set out to examine Masuda-no-Iwafune,
an 800-ton rock structure
that was carved from a single piece of granite and resembles
no other architecture in Japan.
Check out this-this square grid on the sides.
I mean, this is something that I've seen before in India,
in Mahabalipuram, where they have the same
mythologies of celestial beings.
And they had something very similar
on the side of some of their rocks, as well.
MIKAMI: Mm-hmm.
I can't wait to see the top.
Amazing.
-Oh, man. -Whoa!
Wow. That is...
I mean, I've never seen anything like it.
NARRATOR: While some researchers believe
the Masuda-no-Iwafune megalith is a tomb,
others claim it is meant to depict
the "sky boats" that are described
in ancient Japanese stories.
TSOUKALOS: So the idea is that this was the entrance
to a Buddhist temple-- what do they mean by that, inside?
-I mean, where? -TSUKAMOTO: It would actually
predate Buddhism in Japan.
So it wouldn't have anything to do
-with Buddhist temples. -Right, so...
what is the actual translation
of Masuda-no-Iwafune?
(speaking Japanese)
Masuda is the name of the region,
and Iwafune literally means "stone ship" or "rock ship."
Okay.
(Mikami speaking Japanese)
TSUKAMOTO: Yes, it's... naturally the Iwafune
or "the rock ship"
would have come down from the heavens as a vehicle
for the gods to descend upon Earth.
TSOUKALOS: So I guess with the combination
of the mythologies of celestial beings,
this could be some type of representation
of one of those flying vehicles
that our ancestors perhaps witnessed.
NARRATOR: Could the massive stone monuments both in Asuka Park
and in Honshu have been inspired by encounters
with extraterrestrial craft descending from the sky?
Ancient astronaut theorists say yes, and they believe
that further proof of otherworldly contact
in the distant past can be found halfway around the world,
at a mysterious megalithic site high
in the Andes Mountains.
Many of the incredible structuress
found around the world were built with stone blocks
so massive it seems impossible
that they could have been moved
without advanced technology.
But for me, the site of Puma Punku in Bolivia
is the most astounding of all,
because not only are the stones
megalithic, they're carved with a precision that we would
have a hard time replicating even with modern tools.
Here, 45 miles west of La Paz,
isolated high in the Andes Mountains...
lie the mysterious ancient ruins of Puma Punku.
Spread across a desert plateau at an altitude
of over 12,000 feet,
the megalithic stones found here are
among the largest on the planet,
some measuring up to 26 feet long
and weighing more than 100 tons.
DAVID CHILDRESS: What you have here are massive blocks
scattered like some kid's toy blocks
around the site.
It's like some giant cataclysm
just wiped out this entire area.
Archaeologists are baffled
by what Puma Punku was,
how it looked and what the purpose
of this enormous structure would have been.
One of the amazing things here at Puma Punku
is the precision of the blocks.
You can see with this block that it's really been cut
at very accurate right angles.
Not only do these blocks have precision corners,
but they also have these...
difficult drill holes that are going
right through the rock.
NARRATOR: In January 2011, ancient astronaut theorist
David Childress and author
Brien Foerster gained unprecedented access
to investigate this incredible site.
You know, Brien, this is one of the most
interesting and unusual stones
here at Puma Punku.
It's got these perfect right angles and...
...and then each of these small drill holes
are basically evenly spaced
along this routed groove.
To me it's clear that power tools have been used
on this unusual block of stone here.
Well, exactly. And this surface is as smooth
as a tabletop, like in your kitchen.
There's no wave to it or anything.
This was machined, but who machined it?
It's an astonishing piece of work.
And how anyone could think that primitive human beings
could have done this, you know, it's just crazy.
If anything looks like ancient aliens, it's this stone.
NARRATOR: What did the ancients use to cut these stones so precisely?
Might evidence of advanced technology be found
by further study of the construction
of the Puma Punku stones?
Ancient astronaut theorists say yes,
and point to what they call
H-blocks.
It seems like every one of these H-blocks is exactly the same.
So it's like a prefabrication process
where they needed X-hundred of these
and whatever machinery it is that they had was able with
amazing accuracy to replicate one after another after another.
It seems as though
some kind of factory was set up there
to make these almost exactly the same.
It's almost like a Lego system of interconnecting blocks
and that is unique on this Earth.
CHILDRESS: It's an ingenious way of building a huge wall.
And again, the whole thing is just so incredibly precise.
Doing these kind of inside corners like this.
This-this just can't be done really with,
with copper chisels and... and stone hammers.
The whole thing is... is just so incredibly high-tech.
Even beyond what we would do today.
We don't really know the age of Puma Punku.
Archeologists have come up with wildly different ages.
Starting with early excavations here,
thinking that Puma Punku was up to 20,000 years old.
But the kind of machinery that would need to be used
to articulate and cut these blocks
would be giant diamond saws
with huge blades, powerful routers.
Even possibly we're talking about
plasma cutters and melting of stone.
Something that is only being worked on
today by modern scientists.
NARRATOR: According to the local Aymara people
who have inhabited this region for centuries,
Puma Punku was built in a single day.
And not by humans, but by the sky gods.
They say, "The gods constructed the place
in one night."
This makes sense.
You have an extraterrestrial crew.
They come down to Earth.
So they construct with their tools
just something, which we would call today, a basic camp.
CHILDRESS: When you look at the complexity of Puma Punku,
the huge platforms, the interlocking blocks
made into what they thought were indestructible walls.
What you could have, is the kind of
perfectly made space port,
that extraterrestrials would want.
NARRATOR: Might the ancient city of Puma Punku
really have been built by alien beings,
as ancient astronaut theorists contend?
If so, what happened to these massive,
seemingly indestructible structures?
CHILDRESS: One possibility is that Puma Punku was destroyed
in some artificial blast that literally
blew these buildings apart.
So much of it is not simply broken.
It's shattered to the point where you can find
little tiny pieces of diorite anywhere you look.
And that looks to me like an explosion happened.
At the end of its use, they may have simply
blown it up because they didn't want anyone
to use the technology that they had left behind.
NARRATOR: Precision stonework.
Unparalleled engineering.
And incomprehensible destruction.
Is it possible that Puma Punku
was a point of extraterrestrial contact in the distant past?
Ancient astronaut theorists say yes
and suggest further evidence of alien engineering
can be found on a small island in the Mediterranean...
that is home to extraordinary stone structures.
One of the most incredible structures
that I've ever seen is on the Italian island of Sardinia.
This Mediterranean island has
thousands of mysterious stone towers,
bizarre statues...
and even an ancient pyramid.
But what was most amazing to me was the Well of Santa Cristina.
It features stonework so precise that there is no way
it could have been built without advanced engineering knowledge.
NARRATOR: Oak Island treasure hunter Marty Lagina
has invited Giorgio Tsoukalos to help him explore Sardinia's
mysterious structures and offer his unique perspective.
Local guide Ivana Malu
has taken them to the Well of Santa Cristina,
an ancient structure believed
to have been built sometime around 1800 BC.
(both speaking Italian)
NARRATOR: They are met by archaeo-astronomer
Mauro Peppino Zedda.
-Now, wait a minute, wait a minute, a speta. -Yeah, prego.
These are modern, right? This is reproduction.
-No, no, I mean it. -No, I know! I know. I know.
-This is reproduction. -It's what people say when they are here.
They say, "Oh, Ivana, that's a fake, what is that?"
Can you imagine the well is 3,000 years old?
No, honestly, these are the original stones?
-Really, believe me, 100%. -Wow.
That is built to last for the eternity.
Well, this is spectacular.
NARRATOR: The Well of Santa Cristina demonstrates such incredible
masonry skill that archaeologists struggle
to explain how it was built by so-called primitive people.
Based on his years of research,
Giorgio believes that the stonework may provide
important clues for the theory that a race
of extraterrestrial giants once inhabited the island.
Do you want to touch with your hand
-the sophistication of the wall? -Yes.
Here we go.
Wow.
-Unbelievable. -This is crazy.
TSOUKALOS: Look at this, it is round.
It's a perfect circle.
You can't put a piece of paper, there's no mortar used
to put this stuff together.
-I mean, incredible questo. -It's amazing.
MARTY: Not only is it constructed beautifully,
the foundation is below the water table.
Okay, that's very hard to do. I could tell you from Oak Island,
working in the water is difficult.
This is spectacular.
Santa Cristina Holy Well is one of the most
important sites in Sardinia.
It's part of a Nuragic settlement
that dates back to 1500 BC
with nuraghe towers, menhirs, standing stones,
and everything else there, but the most interesting part
of that is this very sophisticated well.
It's the most precision-carved
stonework I've seen in all of the Mediterranean, really.
It's almost like it was built by the Egyptians
or the Peruvian stone masons. It's so advanced.
It's very fascinating.
The walls around here, any child can do this.
You don't need any sophisticated technology to do this.
But that in there, especially if you think
that there was no written record,
how was this preconceived?
Somebody had to think about it.
Clearly there's two type of builders
that were present there, because you have the well,
which is absolute perfect stone masonry.
And then you have the walls around it
that clearly were created by a later culture,
because it's not sophisticated at all.
It's just a bunch of stones thrown together.
Yet, the well that goes deep into the ground,
it is unlike anything that I've ever seen.
The question is, there was no written language.
How was this planned?
Because if you look at this from above,
it's this keyhole shape, and that to me is fascinating.
I have not seen anything quite like this, okay?
I'm-I'm literally wowed by this.
TSOUKALOS: Clearly someone told the local
people how to place these stones into different areas
because it was a connection to the celestial realm.
So you're surmising the technology
was given to these people?
-The engineering knowledge. -Yeah, okay.
Because this screams
-mathematics. -Yes, it does.
(stammers) I will certainly concur to so-- to this extent,
someone or some ones
had extraordinary knowledge here.
-This is not easy to build. -No.
NARRATOR: Is it possible that someone gave
the ancient Sardinians highly advanced engineering knowledge?
And that that knowledge was passed down
generation by generation for thousands of years?
Ancient astronaut theorists say yes,
and point to another structure
in mainland Italy,
said to have been built under the direction of a god.
Any discussion about incredible structures
has to include cyclopean architecture.
This construction style where massive stone blocks,
known as megaliths, are fit together like puzzle pieces,
can be found all over the ancient world.
And when I visited Italy, I saw one of the most incredible
examples of this extraordinary architecture
at the megalithic walls of Ferentino.
Ancient astronaut theorist Giorgio Tsoukalos
is in the heart of the Italian peninsula,
about 50 miles southeast of Rome.
This area of Italy, known as Latium,
was considered the epicenter of the Roman civilization.
Giorgio is eager to investigate
the ancient city's massive megalithic walls, considered
to be some of the finest constructions in Italy.
-Piacere. Thank you. -Welcome to Italy and to Churcheria.
NARRATOR: For expert insight, he has called
upon local historian Danila Bracaglia.
This is, uh, beautiful-- what can you tell me about this area?
Ferentino, where we are today, is actually known
for these constructions of, uh, the megalithic walls,
founded according to the tradition by god Saturn.
TSOUKALOS: Okay. This is fascinating to me because this
is one of the reasons why I'm here.
What can you tell me about the mythologies
of Saturn in this area here?
So the five cities of Saturn
are all a few kilometers one from another.
And the tradition says, you know,
the towns were founded by Saturn and the Titans.
NARRATOR: In Greek mythology, the Titans were humanlike gods
of enormous stature, who were eventually overthrown
by their children, the Olympians.
Saturn is the Roman name for the Titan Cronus,
who was said to have reigned as an earthly king alongside Janus,
during a "Golden Age" when the gods walked among humans.
Could it be that Saturn and the Titans
actually existed on Earth...
and were responsible
for helping to construct the megalithic
structures found throughout the Mediterranean?
So, Danila, where are we right now?
So, this is one of the entrance gates to the town.
And here, it's actually a perfect point
where you can understand the stratification of the time.
You see the huge blocks
from the pre-Roman time,
then smaller blocks built
in the Roman time, and finally the Middle Age on top.
So basically, you can see the-the megalithic
structure, then the Roman and then Medieval Age.
Exactly. And it's like reading a history book.
So it's, uh, because here it's evident
that people lived here for thousands of years
and-and then they had different technique
of construction, some of them,
like the megalithic, uh, constructions are lost,
so we don't know exactly, uh, when they were built.
TSOUKALOS: Which is, in a strange way, a contradiction
because in ancient times what we're told is that
not much technology existed, so in order to move blocks
like this and put them together,
was an incredible accomplishment,
because it's kind of understandable
how those blocks were moved, and of course the smaller blocks
at the very top, it's not even a question.
So logic would dictate that at first they begin
with the smaller blocks and then, over time,
maybe used bigger blocks, but it's the opposite way.
So it's to me somewhat of a mystery.
At a certain point the technology was lost.
We don't know how they were made for sure.
There is no reference, there's no reference in our
books or, uh, sources about how they were built.
TSOUKALOS: Do you know if all these five cities of Saturn
have the cyclopean walls?
BRACAGLIA: Yes, they have, uh, these walls, megalithics,
or huge stones,
and some of them are better preserved than others.
NARRATOR: Cyclopean walls consist of enormous stone
blocks stacked together without the use of mortar.
TSOUKALOS: I mean, this is incredible.
And this region is not the only
place that has these walls.
For example, we have them also in Greece.
What's even more fascinating is that
we have similar walls on the other side
of the world in Sacsayhuamán, Peru.
You see these, uh, different blocks not only
in Sacsayhuamán, you see them for example
in Abydos. Abydos is in Egypt,
you see a wall, you could think
we are standing in Peru, but Abydos is in Egypt.
You see it on Easter Island.
Which means to me the same teachers.
CHILDRESS: The idea that this unusual construction
using giant blocks of stone that are weighing
up to 200 tons
would be individually developed
in each of these sites is virtually impossible.
So some architect and designer and engineer
developed this technique and now it's
being used literally all over the world.
Who is that designer?
Who is that engineer who came up with this worldwide
megalithic construction technique?
Is it extraterrestrials?
From completely opposite sides of the planet,
we have similar, if not identical, construction styles.
According to the ancient astronaut theory,
Saturn was one of the founding gods
of civilization on Earth.
So the idea that this may have had something to do
with an extraterrestrial visit to me is-is fascinating.
NARRATOR: Could it be that ancient people all around the world
were taught how to build megalithic structures
by extraterrestrials that came down from the sky?
Perhaps further clues can be found
by examining an ancient temple in India
that displays highly sophisticated
engineering knowledge, credited
to a divine architect.
Any list of incredible structures would be incomplete
without featuring the amazing architecture of India.
And of all the astounding places we've visited on Ancient Aliens,
one of the most baffling is the Surang Tila temple.
This unbelievable site was built using ancient construction
techniques that rival anything you'd see today.
Ancient astronaut theorist Giorgio Tsoukalos
is meeting up with archaeologist Dr. Arun Sharma,
to get an up-close look at the Surang Tila temple.
The temple was buried beneath a mound of soil
for hundreds of years until 2006,
when Dr. Sharma headed an excavation of the site.
This is beautiful.
Mm-hmm.
Really?
NARRATOR: Incredibly, the earthquake that hit Sirpur
in the 11th century leveled every modern building
that was standing at the time.
Only the ancient Surang Tila temple survived.
Now, is this considered
Ayurvedic architecture right here?
NARRATOR: Ayurvedic architecture is a construction technique
derived from the ancient science of design
found in Indian texts dating back thousands of years.
That's amazing. Huh.
Okay.
It seems to be almost like some type of glue.
NARRATOR: The glue-like substance is said to form a bond
that is at least 20 times stronger than concrete.
But modern builders have been unwilling
to entertain the notion that such an ancient concoction
could be superior to today's building materials.
Wow, look at this. Beautiful.
The detailed instructions for making this paste can be
found in an ancient Indian text known as the Mayamatam,
a manuscript dedicated to construction techniques.
The information contained within the document
is understood to have been passed down to humans
from Mayasura, the ancient king of the demigods
who was said to oversee various construction projects on Earth.
This right here?
NARRATOR: Curiously, there is a more astounding
earthquake-proof feature at the site
to indicate advanced knowledge was used in its construction.
Located at key points within the Surang Tila temple
are several 80-foot-long shafts designed to form
air pockets that can dissipate the impact of seismic events.
Yes, please.
All right.
Wow.
Oh, wow. This is big. It's a huge book.
And-and this text has been around
for 4,500 years?
In your opinion, where did this knowledge come from?
And you think that this knowledge
originated from the stars?
That's amazing.
NARRATOR: The Sarang Tila temple stands as an incredible testament
to the advanced architectural techniques of our ancestors.
Techniques reportedly passed down to them
from their divine teachers.
And the archaeologist in charge of the dig
is convinced that the knowledge came directly
from extraterrestrial visitors.
Every one of the incredible structures we've traveled to
on Ancient Aliens provides evidence
that our ancestors had contact
with extraterrestrials in the distant past.
And when you put it all together, you have,
in my opinion, undeniable proof
for the ancient astronaut theory.
How else can you explain that thousands of years ago,
people in Japan, Egypt, Italy,
Bolivia, and other locations all around the world were
somehow able to build these massive megalithic structures?
To me, the answer is clear.
They had help from alien visitors.
