Narrator: It is a mountain that inspires both awe and fear.
Jack "walking eagle" Thom: There's things around in this mountain here
That people are really unaware of.
But I believe it cause I seen it.
Narrator: For centuries,
Extraordinary sightings have been reported both on its slopes
And in the sky above.
Nick pope: There are multiple
Strange events taking place.
Ufo sightings, paranormal events,
Strange disappearances, that go back throughout history.
Dustin Naef: I've seen people
In this very cave walk right into a wall and vanish.
That's incredible.
Narrator: But are these just stories
Or something more?
Giorgio Tsoukalos: What makes mount shasta fascinating to me
Are the questions.
Narrator: Ancient astronaut theorist giorgio Tsoukalos,
Author david Childress,
And investigative mythologist william henry
Have come together to examine incredible evidence
That suggests mount shasta
May have a connection to otherworldly beings.
David Childress: Perhaps it will be
At mount shasta where the extraterrestrials
Finally reveal themselves.
Narrator: There is a doorway
In the universe.
Beyond it is the promise of truth.
It demands we question everything
We have ever been taught.
The evidence is all around us.
The future is right before our eyes.
We are not alone.
We have never been alone.
I'm really delighted to be here with you guys because
I'm curious to learn what the truth is
Behind mount shasta.
I used to live up in san francisco,
And I drove that road countless times.
And what struck me is the fact that
Mount shasta sticks out like a sore thumb.
- Henry: Sure does. - Childress: It really does stand out.
Henry: I do have to admit driving up
From sacramento and catching my first glimpse of it
Off in the distance with the sun setting on it,
My heart skips a beat. I mean, it is majestic.
Tsoukalos: Oh, it is beautiful. Absolutely.
Henry: You can tell that there's really
An allure to it.
What makes mount shasta fascinating to me
- Are the legends and the mythologies of that place. - Henry: Yep.
Childress: Probably more weird books
Have been written about
Mount shasta than any other mountain.
What do you want? Giants? Do you want star people?
Do you want lost civilizations? It all converges at shasta.
And everyone who lives in that area
Is familiar with these stories.
Narrator: Rising to an elevation
Of 14,179 feet,
Mount shasta in northern california
Lies at an intriguing crossroads of folklore,
Geology and the paranormal.
This majestic peak,
Which is also a dormant volcano,
Features breathtaking waterfalls,
Pristine lakes, and spectacular alpine vistas
That attract more than 26,000 visitors each year.
But the native americans who are indigenous to this area
Warn that mount shasta is as dangerous as it is beautiful.
And for very unnatural reasons.
For centuries, the mountain has been known
As a place where people report strange events in the sky,
Encounter terrifying creatures,
And sometimes have even vanished without a trace.
Pope: Mount shasta is a location
Where there are multiple strange events taking place.
Ufo sightings,
Paranormal events,
Strange disappearances...
That go back throughout history.
And, indeed, one can look to
Certain native american legends, for example,
To say that mount shasta has always
Been associated with strange goings-on.
There's things around in this mountain here
That people are really unaware of.
Some people don't even want to believe it.
But I believe it cause I seen it.
I've witnessed it.
Narrator: Local native american tribes,
Such as the shasta, wintu,
Modoc and karuk, have inhabited the area
Dating back as much as 12 centuries.
Each revere mount shasta as a place
That possesses mystical powers.
Walking eagle: I was told
By my grandmother and grandfather
That, you know, that we didn't go above the tree line.
That belongs to "grandfather" up there.
So I try to stay as far away as I can.
There was a native american author there, lucy thompson,
1916, she writes a book
All about the native american legends
Of the star people,
All that activity at mount shasta.
And this isn't some, like, kooky book or something.
She's writing the history of her people, the yurok tribe.
All these legends are incredible.
And this has been going on at mount shasta
For hundreds of years.
So can we attribute all these legends to mere coincidence?
- That's the big question. - Henry: I don't think so.
Another layer to this mystery is that shasta is very close
To petroglyph point, where we find some of
What are considered to be some of the oldest
Petroglyphs in north america.
Narrator: 60 miles northeast of mount shasta,
At lava beds national monument,
A curious record of native american traditions
Can be found.
Hundreds of stone carvings, known as petroglyphs,
That were created as much as 6000 years ago
By ancestors of the modoc tribe.
The lava beds petroglyphs
Include ancient calendars,
Depictions of animals, humans,
And celestial beings also referred to
As "sky people."
In various native american traditions,
We have different spiritual beings, uh, located
On these sort of different planes of existence.
And there's a wonderful range of stories
In many, many native american groups that talk
About some of the adventures and interactions
With the sky people, uh, with the humans on earth.
Narrator: One of the petroglyphs depicts
A large, winged creature emerging from inside
Of mount shasta.
It is believed to represent a sky being
Who the modoc people worship as their creator
Known as skell.
The local people believe that in ancient times,
The great sky chief skell
Came down from the sky to live in shasta
And has been there ever since and protects it.
Narrator: Could this petroglyph of skell
Be, as some believe,
An actual depiction of an extraterrestrial being
That the modoc people encountered centuries ago?
So we know there's been humans going through this area
For a long time and creating these petroglyphs
With these mystery teachings on them.
So it's got all of that mythology attached to it
And has all kinds of ufo sightings as well.
Certain mountains are associated with ufos,
And mount shasta's definitely one of them.
It's interesting to me that we have modern accounts
Of ufo sightings, for example,
Right here at mount shasta,
But what's fascinating to me is that there are
Many, many ancient stories of so-called ufo encounters
That we consider today ufo encounters.
And are ufos particularly are seen kind of coming
From the top, the crater of mount shasta
And going up or are they coming out of the side?
- What are... What are the beliefs there? - Henry: They're from all over.
It's like-it's like they're coming out of the mountain
Or that-that they're seen hovering above it.
It's very strange.
Narrator: Over the past century,
There have been more than 50 reports
Of ufo sightings around mount shasta
With an increasing number in just the last decade.
Almost everyone who lives there
Has-has seen something unusual.
One of the most remarkable ufo sightings
I've heard of, it took place in 2008.
Witnesses in the town of mccloud saw a ufo
That looked like a giant glowing jellyfish
Move over the town and then fly off into the distance.
Walking eagle: I was driving back
From, uh, klamath falls, eh, around 7:00,
6:30, 7:00 in the evening
In the summertime.
All of the sudden I looked up on the mountain,
And I seen the whole mountain
Toward yreka side open up.
And then this big ship came
And sat there hovered for a minute and then went right in.
And next thing you know, the mountain closed,
And I was like, "what is going on?"
I never let things like that bother me, though.
I've seen things like that all the time.
And, you know, what's interesting about it, too,
Is that the native americans... There was a group
Of spiritual beings called the waga
That first came to shasta and-and started instructing
The local native americans.
And they told this story that there were giants
That lived in mount shasta.
Giants are often associated with the stories
- Of bigfoot. - Henry: Absolutely.
- And mount shasta is also famous for bigfoot sightings. - Yes, it is.
In fact, the earliest, uh,
Really popular sightings of bigfoot
And where the name bigfoot comes from
Is from northern california
- And around redding. - Mm-hmm.
Narrator: Giants? Bigfoot?
Incredibly, similar stories have been reported
In this area for hundreds of years.
And in October 1930, several newspapers detailed
The discovery of a mysteriously large humanoid skeleton
In the town of redding,
60 miles south of mount shasta.
There are traditions of giants linked
With mount shasta, which absolutely fascinate me.
And one of these, uh, goes back quite a long way,
And it's part of the modoc tribe,
Who are kind of part of this area.
And they say the sky spirit's daughter was abducted by a bear,
And she actually gave birth to a race of giants.
Some people suggest that these are actually hairy beasts,
Sasquatch-like beings, connected with mount shasta.
So you've got this convergence of-of these stories
Of-of massive ufo sightings, giants, star beings.
This is, like, a hotbed area up here. It is incredible.
Native americans in the area around mount shasta
Warned people of the number of disappearances
- That have taken place up there. - So mount shasta
Is one of these hot spots
- For disappearing people, then? - Exactly.
Native americans in the area around mount shasta say that
The area above the tree line is sacred.
- And they warn people, "do not go up there." - is that so?
Right, which makes it not surprising to learn
Of the number of disappearances that have taken place up there.
So mount shasta is one of these hot spots
- For disappearing people, then? - Exactly.
Yes, siskiyou county is the location
That carl disappeared in.
Narrator: Since 2009,
Former police detective dave paulides has been
Applying his professional investigative training
Attempting to solve mysterious missing persons cases
All around the country.
In ten-plus years, I've looked at over
5,000 search and rescue cases.
And in those, 1,200 are unexplained.
And I mean that cases
Of possible animal predation have been vetted out.
Incidents of mental health, suicide, were vetted out.
And what you're left with
Is a complete void of rational explanation.
The area around mount shasta has many unusual disappearances.
Narrator: One of the most baffling disappearances
That dave has been focusing on
Was reported on mount shasta in 1999.
On may 25, three experienced hikers...
Carl landers, milt gaines and barry gilmore...
Set off from mount shasta's bunny flat trailhead
Towards the summit.
The guys got up to a place called 50/50.
It was a place where hikers that wanted to summit
Would either camp there or at the next stop,
Called lake helen, for the night.
The next morning, they get up, the wind is howling.
The guys were putting the tent together
And were stashing it for their climb,
And they saw that carl was looking cold.
And so they said, "hey, why don't you go to lake helen's,
And we'll meet you there."
And carl took off walking.
Narrator: Shortly after carl
Left the 50/50 campsite,
Milt and barry followed.
But when they arrived at lake helen,
Just 650 feet away,
Carl was nowhere to be found.
Paulides: Milt gaines, carl's partner,
Got there, and he didn't see carl.
And now he's confused
Because there's no place between 50/50
And lake helen to disappear.
There's no obstructions, you're above timber line,
There's no big, huge boulders
That are gonna get in your way,
And it's a solid snow field with no crevasses.
That started a week-long search and rescue
That would rival any anyone knew about.
Now, one of the things that was done on the landers case
Is that they checked with u.S. Geological survey
For seismic activity on the mountain.
The reason they did that is that sometimes
There's a... An avalanche of rock
And maybe the climber was covered
By the rock and you wouldn't find them.
During the time that carl was gone,
There was no seismic activity.
So they know that carl wasn't covered by rocks.
Narrator: Remarkably, in the more than 20 years
Since carl's disappearance,
No one has found any clues
That could explain what happened to him.
Milt gaines: I don't know how many people
Have been up avalanche gulch.
But, uh, nothing has been found.
No metal ice axe. No metal crampons.
No colorful nylon pack or coat
Or black pants or plastic boots.
Nothing.
Paulides: The search and rescue coordinator on this event
Was an individual named grizz adams.
Grizz had been doing this for 30-plus years.
Grizz said, "dave, I guarantee carl isn't on that mountain.
He either went up or he went in, but he isn't on."
Those were his words.
I think that the comment tells you
That there were few options for a rational explanation.
And so they-they never found him,
They have no explanation for what happened.
(stammers) everyone's just baffled?
Yeah. Yeah, he's hiking up the mountain
In sight of his friends and suddenly disappears.
And do they see him disappear
Or they just look away and they turn around and he's gone?
Typically, in those stories, people
Don't actually see them disappear, but they're
Nearby and they never call out for help or anything like that.
Then there's the story of a three-year-old boy.
He's camping with his parents on shasta,
And he wanders off, disappears.
Narrator: Another very unusual disappearance
That dave paulides investigated near mount shasta
Occurred on September 2, 2011.
Paulides: A three-year-old boy disappeared
On a camping trip.
And he was later found by search and rescue,
At one of the first places they would have looked.
Right next to a trail.
One of the first things search and rescue people do is,
As they're walking down a trail, they're calling the boy's name.
- Tommy! - Hey, tommy!
Hey, tommy, where are you?
Now, if he was near the trail
And he heard that, chances are he's gonna come and get help.
Cause he'd been out there overnight.
So to think that he was next that trail
The whole time is really hard to understand.
Another unusual aspect to that story is that this boy
Told a story of, after going missing,
He was down in some kind of underground cave...
And a woman that he thought was a robot
Was there asking him if he was okay and comfortable.
It was all a very strange story,
Something I've never heard before.
Narrator: While the story may sound
Like the product of a child's imagination,
The search and rescue team could provide no explanation
For how the boy went missing for five hours
Only to suddenly turn up right next to the trail.
Many people say these disappearances
Are-are just accidents.
But the idea that somebody disappears
In a location where there are ufo sightings
And sometimes reports of entities
Mirrors the idea, perhaps, of the alien abduction.
Narrator: Is it possible that carl landers and others
Who mysteriously disappeared around mount shasta
Were abducted by extraterrestrial beings?
Or might there be an even more profound explanation?
Uh, people are still disappearing on mount shasta.
- Right. - This is not something that has,
- You know, stopped. - Right.
And it's an open area where,
You know, there's not that many places to hide,
- E-except by going inside the mountain. - Absolutely.
But, once again, this affirms the... Kind of the mystery,
The strangeness of mount shasta and says
This is... There's a lot more going on there than...
Than we really realize.
People are called to mount shasta and they don't know why.
Mount shasta is also apparently on a major ley line.
They're a telluric current of energy going from
Different grid spots and power spots.
What's going on in mount shasta is not just in north america.
All over the world are these power spot mountains
Like mount shasta.
Mount shasta is sometimes said
To be one of the chakras of the planet, too.
Narrator: The ancient sanskrit term "chakra"
Refers to energy centers in the human body.
In his 1967 book earth chakras,
Author robert coon proposed that the planet
Also has energy centers, and that these
Act as connection points to otherworldly dimensions.
His list included mount sinai in egypt,
Mount kailash in tibet,
And mount shasta.
Hugh newman: There were traditions
Of sacred mountains all over the world.
This is where the gods came down, started civilization.
But it's also thought to be
Where communication with the gods took place
And potentially where interstellar travel
May have taken place between this world and other worlds.
It seems that mount shasta is on some energy line
That's perhaps connected even to cusco
And lake titicaca, the great pyramids.
- You know, power spots and sacred spaces. - Sure.
Yeah, it's important to bring up the great pyramid because
It reminds me of mount shasta.
Really? Okay.
Henry: First of all, it's a volcano,
And the word "pyramid" means "fire in the middle."
And underneath the great pyramid are tunnels.
Same thing here at shasta.
And it makes me think, well, maybe shasta could've been like
The natural origin of the idea of the pyramid
As, like, a power center.
But the pyramid is an artificial construction.
- A lava tube is not artificial, that's nature. - Exactly. And what I'm saying is
That perhaps the pyramid is kind of like
A technological version of a naturally-occurring
Power center, like a volcano.
Narrator: The great pyramid of giza,
A power center?
Modeled after a volcano like mount shasta?
In his 1998 book, the giza power plant,
Renowned master craftsman and engineer christopher dunn
Proposed that the great pyramid was originally designed
And functioned as a power plant.
Two years later, based on curious erosion patterns
Within the pyramid, maritime engineer john cadman
Lent his support to this theory.
In the subterranean chamber, there is some evidence
That shows that there had been water present in it.
There's water erosion on the floor,
And then there's also cavitation damage on the ceiling
Right above the pit, and that had to have been
From a compression wave.
Narrator: Cadman concluded that the great pyramid
Was a gigantic hydraulic pump
That drew water from the nearby nile river
To generate power.
But if the great pyramid functioned as a power plant,
What purpose might it have served?
Ancient astronaut theorists suggest
Clues can be found in scared egyptian writings.
Henry: The pyramid texts describe
The ancient egyptian gods as extraterrestrials
Coming and going from two places:
Sirius and orion.
The pyramid itself, according to the ancient egyptians,
Functioned as an ascension device,
So everything that we discover about the great pyramid
Has to be related to its original function
As a portal to other star systems
Or other dimensions.
Narrator: Is it possible that the great pyramid was designed
By otherworldly visitors to function as some kind of portal?
And, if so, could there have been others?
Interestingly, while the great pyramid
Is a man-made structure, geologist dr. Robert schoch
Has identified compelling similarities
That it shares with mount shasta.
I see many similarities between mount shasta geologically
And the natural features
It's associated with and artificial,
Human-constructed pyramids.
Underground flowing water
Can carry a charge,
Build up charge in certain areas that can then
Migrate to the surface along faults and fissures
And, in some cases, then escape
As, basically, balls of charge.
Narrator: Might the unique geology of mount shasta
Make it the perfect location for alien beings
To create a portal to other parts of the universe
Or even other dimensions?
So then, in a sense, it's like an interdimensional portal
Where beings and craft can shift
To other dimensions, go to other planets, even?
- Exactly. - And is it possible that some of these people
Have disappeared, have-have actually even
- Been taken off planet or something? - That would make sense to me.
I mean, given what we're-we're hearing about this,
That they could have just stumbled into some kind of
Portal, as you're suggesting.
I mean, seriously, we've got
Tremendous magnetic energy there, disappearances,
All kinds of mysterious incidences like that.
That's fascinating. William, you went up to
Mount shasta just recently.
Can you tell us about your experience?
Oh, it was absolutely mind-blowing.
William, you went upto mount shasta just recently.
Can you tell us about your experience and what you learned?
Oh, it was absolutely mind-blowing.
Went up there to meet dustin Naef.
He's a local historian.
He-he's one of these guys
That was called to the mountain.
He kept hearing about the legends and so forth.
He's been investigating it for many, many years.
Yeah, I've-I've read his books.
And so, you went to mount shasta, too,
Because of these strange disappearances, huh?
Absolutely. What's interesting about this to me is that maybe
It's a case of some kind of
Interdimensional portal opening up.
This is a very mysterious part of the world,
Northern california, where giants were there,
Star people, lost civilizations.
It's magical.
Narrator: In November 2020,
William henry traveled to weed, california,
To investigate firsthand if he could document
Any evidence to help explain the many ufo sightings,
Baffling disappearances, and encounters with strange beings
That have been reported at mount shasta.
And also to explore the incredible notion
That the mountain might actually
Contain a portal through space and time.
- Hi, dustin. I'm william henry. - Hi, william. Glad to meet you.
Local author dustin Naef has spent years
Investigating the mysteries of mount shasta.
One story that I think I'm most excited and interested in
Is these light beings that are also described
As living within mount shasta.
Can we now tie that into mu or lemuria?
Yeah, there's a lot of, you know, supporting evidence,
And I-I think there's something to the stories.
Lemuria is a civilization
That was quite an advanced civilization for its time.
And it existed somewhere
Off the pacific coast of north america.
Narrator: The existence of a lost continent named lemuria
Was first proposed by zoologist philip sclater in 1864.
Curiously, this theory is corroborated
By the ancient oral traditions of the native hawaiian people,
Which say that the pacific islands of the region
Were once part of a giant continent,
One that was home to a highly advanced,
Otherworldly civilization.
We do know that there were some people who got lost,
And this is who we call the mu or the lemurian people
You might refer to.
They existed at one time, and then we lost them
Under the ocean.
Mitch horowitz: In the 19th century,
There were various occult and esoteric writers,
Including madame h.P. Blavatsky,
Who identified lemuria
As this primordial human civilization.
And the idea was that some of
Humanity's hidden and occult roots could be traced back
To this so-called continent of lemuria.
Pope: Mount shasta ties in
To the idea of the lost continent of lemuria.
They were thought to be
Very technologically advanced ancestors.
Maybe gods, maybe extraterrestrials.
Whoever these people were,
Some calamity befell them.
And the legend is
That the survivors of this cataclysm
Took refuge in mount shasta.
Narrator: Could there really have been
A highly advanced civilization that existed
On earth thousands of years ago?
And, if so, could there be any truth
To the notion that they took refuge
From a devastating cataclysm in the caves of mount shasta?
One man who was convinced the story was true
Was prospector j.C. Brown,
Who, in the early 20th century,
Made it his mission to find the proof.
You know, j.C. Brown
Became really enamored
With the theories of lemuria and mu.
- Mm-hmm. - J.C. Brown claims to have been up here
In 1906 prospecting for gold
When he accidentally unearthed
A tunnel which he describes as a man-made tunnel.
And about a couple miles in,
He found what he describes as some kind of, uh, reliquary
Containing all kinds of records of a lost civilization,
And he describes finding the bodies
- Of mummified giants. - Wow.
And one of the things miners did was they would mark
The environment with, uh, symbols.
- Mm-hmm. - And there's a place
Not far from mount shasta
Where I've found a whole collection
Of these glyphs that have been carved into rocks.
We know they were made sometime
Between the early 1900s and the 1940s.
- Mm-hmm. - And that would have been the period of time
That j.C. Brown would have been up in this area
Looking around for things.
Henry: This reminds me of, uh, in-in rennes-le-château in France,
Northwest arkansas, oak island,
We find similar kind of symbols appearing
In these various places
Associated with treasuries, deposits.
And then this looks like... Almost like two peaks or a peak
Within a peak, like he's trying to point you inward
Into the mountain almost.
There's an interesting twist to this story.
About 30 years later,
J.C. Brown, uh, returned to stockton,
And his intention was to raise an expedition
To go back up to this site and catalog what he found.
And he raised a party of about 80 different people,
And on the day that they were supposed to depart
To go up to this site,
Um, he just mysteriously vanished.
He just vanishes?
Yeah, no one ever heard from him again.
I wonder if there could be
Some advanced ancient technology
That he didn't fully understand
Associated with portals,
The light beings, and that sort of thing.
So there are actual tunnels that we can access today?
Yeah, I can take you to a place called pluto's cave
Where people report and experience
A lot of this phenomena that we've been talking about.
Fantastic. Let's go.
Dustin is very intrigued, as I am, about the lava tubes
That run underneath shasta that extend into the inner earth.
But we went into the pluto cave... this lava tube.
- It's about 20 miles from mount shasta. - Okay.
- Childress: Okay, so... - So these extend for miles.
And how big is the tube? I mean...
Yeah, were you able to stand upright?
Henry: No. This was one was huge. I mean,
These are giant caverns.
-Really? -And this... the pluto cave... massive.
- You could drive a truck through there. - Really?
- Childress: Okay. Wow. - Absolutely.
- That's interesting. - Childress: And people around there think that if you find
The right lava lube or something, you can get
Into this city and into...
- Inside mount shasta. - Exactly. Right.
Narrator: In November 2020,
William henry along with author dustin Naef...
- Naef: It's down this path here. - Set out to explore what is
Known as pluto's cave several miles north
Of mount shasta.
Henry: That is just spectacular.
Narrator: It is here where numerous eyewitnesses
Claim to have encountered mysterious beings...
As well as seen evidence
Of possible interdimensional portals.
Pluto's cave is one of several natural wonders,
Known as lava tubes, that crisscross the region.
Schoch: Mount shasta is a volcanic mountain.
So volcanic lava tubes are formed
When you have fast-flowing lava.
And it cools on the surface of the flow,
So it actually builds a crust,
But the lava continues to flow in the middle,
And it forms literally a tube.
And these tubes, in some cases, are very small.
They might only be a few feet across.
In other cases,
They've been documented to be 50 feet across.
And some of them have been documented to be
Not just miles long but tens of miles long.
Henry: Check it out, man.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Naef: So almost all of the mythology and legends around the place...
It all takes place underground in the caves and tunnels
Which surround the area.
If you were able to look underground,
You would just see tunnels
Radiating out in every direction.
There are actually native-authored stories
That you could travel clear into oregon
Completely underground.
Henry: Yeah. Look at that, dustin.
That's awesome. Beautiful skylight.
- Naef: This almost makes like an eye-like symbol. - Henry: Absolutely. Do you think
- J.C. Brown might have discovered a cave like this? - Yeah.
If it was in this area, it would be very similar
To the cave we're in now.
There's a really big subculture here
In mount shasta that has always believed that
These caves and tunnels contain a civilization
Full of people just like you and I.
And they come back and forth through portals
Hidden in these caves.
I've had people actually
Contact me and tell me they've seen people
In this very cave walk right into a wall and vanish.
What-what were these people like?
What did they look like?
They look just like us.
That's how they're able to travel back and forth
And mingle with humans.
Wow.
Narrator: One of the most famous reports
Of a being emerging from within mount shasta
Was made in 1930 by guy warren ballard.
Ballard, a mining engineer who worked in the area,
Claimed he was surveying the slopes of the mountain
When he encountered a mysterious, glowing figure.
Guy reported that when he was hiking on mount shasta
In the early 1930s,
He encountered some extraordinary,
Mysterious teacher,
Which he later identified as the ascended master.
Young: This is a radiant being dressed in white.
And they get into a long conversation.
And this teacher, this guru,
This otherworldly character teaches ballard
The secrets of enlightenment.
Narrator: For ancient astronaut theorists,
Ballard's description of a radiant being
Is reminiscent of accounts from ancient times
Of similarly luminous figures.
In irish legend, we learn of the tuatha dé danann,
Or the tua dé dán.
These are luminous humanoid beings
Who are considered to be beings of immense wisdom
Who are also called the shining ones.
Narrator: Similar to the shining ones of the celtic tradition,
The ancient sumerian gods, known as the anunnaki,
Were also described as glowing figures.
Might these accounts, including those made about mount shasta,
Be true?
If so, can william henry find any evidence
To help verify them?
If you look on the usgs charts,
There's an immense negative magnetic anomaly
That surrounds mount shasta.
Henry: That's the ley line they describe here, right?
Naef: Yeah, a lot of psychic and paranormal phenomena
Actually occurs in places that have magnetic anomalies.
And used as a, as a portal
Between the inner earth realm and the stars?
Yeah, yeah. It... Anything capable of generating
Energy like that could be a portal.
Narrator: Some theoretical physicists believe
That strong variations of electromagnetic fields
May create areas that give rise
To exotic phenomena
Like portals through space and time.
There appears to be, in nature,
The possibility of crossing thresholds
Of energy, of vorticity,
Of electromagnetic phenomenon...
That can perhaps
Open up portals in space-time
That we never would have thought possible.
This is, uh, where I've seen people
- Get readings before. - Okay.
Well, let's take a look. See what we got.
I brought my meter with me just to see
If we can detect any magnetic energy here.
Okay. It's jumping all over.
Got some movement here.
All right. We got a reading here.
Very interesting.
Narrator: Several miles north
In northern california, william henry
And author dustin Naef have just
Detected a mysterious energy spike in pluto's cave,
A giant lava tube connected to the mountain.
Yeah, we're getting a lot of movement here
On the magnetic side.
I can personally feel it, and then now we got
The readings here that are backing that up.
And sensitive psychic people
Could follow that line, follow the trail
- Where, wherever it leads. - Yeah, a lot of psychic
And paranormal phenomena actually occurs in places
- That have magnetic anomalies. - Right.
Naef: Mount shasta,
It's basically made of a type of, um, geology
That conducts electricity.
And if you were to look underneath mount shasta,
You would find reservoirs of churning water,
Just millions and millions of gallons of water,
Just churning.
And that creates energy.
And that's one of the theories about the pyramid...
Is that the tunnels were used as conduits for water,
That the pyramid is a power plant and somehow
Water was used to facilitate that.
Naef: Exactly. But the same thing is happening here at mount shasta.
It's just being driven by natural forces.
So that could explain, if the pyramid is a machine,
Which is the way they describe it,
That would explain how people
Can come and go from mount shasta.
It's like an interdimensional portal.
Naef: I-it does go a long ways to explain
The energy people feel up here.
Because it's a... Basically an energetic site.
So now that you've returned from mount shasta,
Did you come to any conclusions?
In the end, I really don't have a conclusion about mount shasta.
For me, it's a beginning
Because I realize how much is going on there.
You've got the portal aspect, you've got the light beings,
You've got the ufos,
You've got the natural geologic possibilities that are there.
And you've got lemuria.
What makes mount shasta
Fascinating to me are the questions.
Because clearly there are so many stories,
So many legends,
So many events
That have been witnessed by people.
Something clearly is happening there.
You've got all this lore and stories
That's coming out of it.
It is rooted in eyewitness accounts,
It's rooted in historical accounts,
It's not the stuff of legend.
It's tremendously exciting that this is in our own backyard.
It's not peru or the amazon or egypt.
I-it's right here in northern california.
And what's interesting here, too, is we have all the stories
Going into antiquity and-and beginning of time,
But this is something that's still going on.
Well, gentlemen, this has been a fascinating conversation,
And this is what science
And the ancient astronaut theory is all about:
The investigation.
Because, sure, one could just dismiss the whole thing and say,
"oh, come on. It's nothing."
But something clearly is happening at mount shasta.
And I think that this merits even further investigation
Because what if mount shasta is part
Of this giant riddle that we're all investigating?
