TRAVIS: Look at the sky, y'all!

MATTY: Just when you think that it couldn't

get any stranger on Skinwalker Ranch...

What in the hell are we seeing?

MATTY: ...something completely unbelievable...

That's not natural.

MATTY: ...and even more shocking happens.

Everybody, get back behind the vehicle!

Stand back!

Oh, (bleep)!

Every time that we tried to probe,

you have to take a step back.

MATTY: So, I'm back

to meet with Brandon and the team

about possible connections...

What are we looking at?

MATTY: ...between the most

phenomenal hot spots...

-Still, they're forming. -That one just fell

right out of the sky. Whoa. What is that?

MATTY: ...where mysterious events keep happening...

KALEB: That's not a plane.

MATTY: ...all across this 512-acre property.

UAP right there!

ERIK: I ceased to ask "What if?"

and began to ask "What now?"

CHUCK: That thing is big and spherical.

TRAVIS: What in the crap?

♪ ♪

Guys, thanks so much for meeting me here.

It is great to see the team assembled.

The world wants to know, I think,

with the incredible evolving data

and information you're getting,

how much it's affecting you all personally.

BRANDON: It's completely changed

not only my worldview

but it's turned it upside down as far as

how we view reality itself.

ERIK: You know, this has

really been quite the odyssey from the very beginning.

-Right. -I continue asking myself these two questions.

You know, what do I really mean

when I say I've seen or experienced something?

And how do I really know what it truly is?

Well said. Travis?

Man, I'll tell you, the first thing I would say is,

if I was gonna make something up, it wouldn't be this, right?

-Right. -It's the strangest

scientific investigation I've ever been involved in,

but at the same time, the most exciting,

and in some ways, the most revealing because

some of the things that we've seen would be impossible

for us to recreate with technology

that, at least, I know exists for humanity.

Travis, you got to see this.

TRAVIS: Okay, well, there's the lasers.

Yeah, I'm doing an instant playback.

-Do you see this? -Oh. Yeah.

TRAVIS: Wow.

It's moving way too fast for it to be a satellite.

This thing's really clipping along.

Oh, my gosh. It disappeared.

That's insane.

So, what could this phenomenon be?

-It's mind-boggling. -Right.

I came onto the ranch seven years ago,

very closed mind, and the longer I'm here,

the more I realize that we don't understand

everything that goes on in this world.

-Right. -BRYANT: I've always

looked for a reasonable explanation for things.

Now, after having done this for as many years as we have,

it has completely changed my mindset.

-Wow. -I can't find one.

Kaleb, I'll come to you finally.

I had some very profound experiences

that were religious or spiritual in nature

before ever coming to the ranch.

And I've always been asked about my faith

to explain what we're dealing with.

-Right. -I've experienced

so many things out here over the last

five, six years.

-I don't know. -Wow. Well said.

BRANDON: When you have data,

documented evidence

of phenomena that has been reported

since the beginning of time but has not been brought forward

in a format like this with a team like this,

it's truly historic.

You know, when all these things are happening

in-in all different parts of the ranch, these hot spots--

the triangle, you've had things happen

in the south field, the east field, Homestead Two.

But I really want to drill down--

pun intended-- on the mesa,

because what you have found there

really ties into some pretty out-there theories.

-Mm-hmm. -Everything from nuts-and-bolts

UFO craft to potentially a base.

Yes, I'm going there. An alien base.

I mean, these things are now seriously talked about

because of what you've found.

Well, when you see UAP enter and exit the mesa

on camera, coupled with

a record amount of equipment failures

associated with every time that we try to probe the mesa,

you have to take a step back and ask,

"What kind of exotic phenomena are we dealing with?"

ERIK: What you see us doing, Matty, is

drilling into the mesa, looking for these anomalies that we see

coming out in ground-penetrating radar or GPR.

Right.

Yeah, I'm up against

something pretty hard right now.

So, we're coming up about 11 inches every ten feet.

It was directing you downward, and now you're still on it,

-but it's allowing you to go upwards? -Right.

So, it sounds like you're describing kind of a "V."

May not even be a "V." It could even be maybe a dome.

We really don't know what's in there,

but here's what we do know.

We do know that ground-penetrating radar

tells us there is an object in there that's,

oh, a couple hundred feet deep, a hundred feet tall-ish

and, you know, tens of feet wide.

And it's extremely rugged

because we've had multiple drills have a hard time

getting into this.

BRYANT: What is that?

THOMAS: I wondered if it was like

metal flakes or something?

TRAVIS: And one of them actually returned some materials,

and when we had the materials investigated,

they looked like materials that were similar

to aerospace reentry tiles,

like that were used on the space shuttle.

So, what is it? How do they get inside the mesa 200 or 300 feet?

That's the big thing.

-Right. -ERIK: One of the most tantalizing

aspects of this is the fact that it may, in fact, be

-electromagnetically active. -Might be.

You know, Travis and I have seen

signals being, uh, broadcast into the mesa

-and come back modified, so... -Yeah, altered, yeah.

ERIK: That suggests that there's something

technological going on.

And maybe even something intelligent.

KALEB: I would say that we've gone from rumors

and hearsay and ghost stories

to actual hard evidence based on improved methods

and improved technology.

MATTY: You know, that's a perfect segue

to what I want to talk about next because,

in one of these hot spots,

you guys have perhaps taken what was a legend

and turned it into a find

that could change everyone's worldview.

Skinwalker Ranch has long been rumored to be the home

of otherworldly phenomena,

but many believe it may also be inhabited

by strange creatures, as well.

Guys, down on the south side of the ranch,

a discovery was made

that really could change everything for a lot of people.

BRANDON: It's very interesting how much of this property

has yet to be fully investigated.

-Mm-hmm. -What we've seen this past year,

and really the last several months, is an effort,

an unequaled effort,

to go out and explore, for example,

the Dry Gulch Creek, where we revealed this

really unusual animal.

TRAVIS: Well, I can tell you that when we first

raised its head up out of the water,

we were right there in front of it,

and we... we were like, "Whoa! What is that?"

-Oh, yeah. -And it was frightening a little bit.

Yeah.

-BRYANT: Oh, what is that? -THOMAS: What is it?

BRYANT: What is that?

Hard to tell.

TRAVIS: Well, we're about to find out what it is.

BRYANT: Ew. God!

-THOMAS: Ooh, I got a whiff of that. -TRAVIS: Yeah, it stinks.

-BRYANT: Good God. -TRAVIS: Gah! I touched it.

We have the benefit of consultation

with a biologist who has an encyclopedic knowledge

of everything in the biological world.

Everything from birth even to decay.

BEN: This is a side view of a typical coyote skull.

At the bottom, you can see this bulge is not very big.

This is a regular, modern-day gray wolf.

And you can see how much larger that is.

And this is a dire wolf.

If you can see down below here how much larger that bulge is.

-TRAVIS: It's huge. -THOMAS: Yeah.

BEN: Your jaw-- it has the much thicker, larger bulge,

like a dire wolf.

TRAVIS: Look at that.

-What? -Are you kidding me?

BEN: If you handed me this and said, "Hey, what is this?"

everything I'm measuring, everything I'm looking at says

it looks like it has dire wolf in it or is a young dire wolf.

Well, how crazy is it

that we found a carcass in the river

that has a jawbone that matches

exactly to a 14,000-year-old extinct animal?

-Incredible. -I find it interesting

that the actual creature we found

in the river happened to be a wolf-type creature,

because the very name of the ranch is named after this

shape-shifting entity creature called "the skinwalker."

Well, the type of creature that's mentioned,

being able to morph from, say, the shape of a man

into another creature, it's often a wolf.

So, are those two things tied together?

After this river expedition and finding this creature

that, according to a reputable biologist,

truly has the traits of something

that could be otherworldly or from the past,

such as a dire wolf?

I've had to check myself and recalibrate my mind to think

that I can't take anything for granted out here.

Right. Kaleb, you're an active law enforcement officer.

Yes.

How does a find like that make sense to you?

It's crazy.

We've actually found, a couple times on the ranch,

large canine footprints.

You kind of put it off.

"Oh, maybe it was just a really big dog."

But coupled with the stories

that we always heard about coming onto the property,

it was always in the back of your mind, and around the area,

we do have those stories of people seeing

or having encounters with things that really scare 'em.

I keep talking about worldview.

It makes one question every tale you've ever heard

from even your childhood

about cryptids and creatures of all kinds.

Because if this is true, if you guys have found

what we thought was extinct creature,

or something more paranormal in nature,

I mean, it-it... it's stunning.

You know, we did inherit a story from the previous ownership

where they saw what they described as a portal open

and a creature come out.

And when we find a carcass in the river

of something that matches closely to an animal

that's been extinct for thousands of years,

my mind goes back to that story of hearing that.

ERIK: And, Matty, you know,

what sets our work apart here is that,

unlike those who operate under the influence

of a craven desire for closure, we will, in fact, run

every single one of these cases to its source.

And that's exactly what we've done as a team.

If there's a part of the ranch

that we can explore and possibly find

nonconforming biological specimens, we're gonna do that.

And report it so the general public can see

that, uh, you know, we're not making any of this up

and we're following the scientific method.

We're doing the experiments, making the measurements,

doing the tests, and then we're showing people

what the results are,

even if we can't make heads or tails of it.

-Right. -ERIK: And we try to tread lightly

on making any claims.

Our prime directive here is

take the data,

-share the data. -Yeah.

MATTY: Well, I can't wait

to see what else the south field provides you guys.

But next I want to talk about

a place where I feel a little too close for comfort

and that's Homestead Two, where we sit.

And with good reason.

as we speak about Homestead Two,

which might be quite apropos, right?

Well, there's a storm of activity

for decades, that we know of,

third-party experts and professionals.

ERIK: And, Matty, I've said this many times,

but I think it bears repeating:

This location at Homestead Two

is where I ceased to ask "what if?"

We do know that the previous owner spent a lot of time

investigating this spot.

We have a lot of stories ranging

from portals opening to apparitions appearing,

creatures.

-Oh, wow. -BRYANT: We had

Colonel John Alexander out here that talked about

the Bigelow team reporting,

having some sort of a portal open up

and some sort of otherworldly creature crawl out of it.

TRAVIS: So where do you think the, uh, portal was?

JOHN: Yeah.

Out in this general area.

And it's sort of moving through the treetops here.

Again, it was more of a distortion.

BRYANT: Just so I'm clear, it was almost like

-a cloaked... movement? -Yeah, like something moving through the treetops.

BRYANT: They only were able to see it

through the night vision cameras.

Is that correct?

-Yeah. -Okay.

It sounds outlandish.

BRANDON: But we had

Rabbi Ariel Tzadok,

who came out, worked with the team,

-and a number of events occurred. -Wow.

Well, I can tell you the genesis of that experiment, actually.

Dragon and I were actually in the presence of the rabbi

at a conference, and we were telling him about

the portal story.

And he said there are several faiths,

including many American Native tribes,

that are very similar to Hebrew.

And we have, uh, some rituals

that are designed to open portals to heaven.

-Wow. -And we both

kind of at the same time said, "Why don't you come out

"to the ranch and do one of those rituals

and see if you can open up a portal down by Homestead Two?"

Erik, you got the forward-looking infrared camera,

uh, set up and ready and recording.

-We've got the night vision goggles. Are they going? -ERIK: Yeah.

They're both trained on the homestead area

-and the trees above. -All right.

(singing in Hebrew)

TRAVIS: Erik, come here a minute.

You seeing something?

TRAVIS: Look at the difference in the FLIR imagery now.

It's completely changed.

ERIK: I have not seen this do this before.

KALEB: I actually watched as

this cold void, essentially,

formed right there in Homestead Two

and watched as these guys walked right into it.

BRYANT: It was like stepping into a blast freezer.

TRAVIS: No, it was literally-- like Dragon says--

you open the door to a big meat locker and stepped into it.

It was like the chill originated inside your body core

and then worked its way out, as opposed to walking

-into a subzero walk-in freezer. -Right.

ERIK: We're talking about a thermal structure

that can't be natural.

We're talking about something so unusual.

The layer structure that we saw--

that's not something I'd expect to see

in any random field selected from across the basin.

MATTY: That moment at Homestead Two

really stays with me.

Travis and Erik... (stammers)

maybe you're the most unlikely duo

to present something that spiritual

into a scientific investigation.

Can you talk about that?

After what we saw, I wouldn't hesitate

to try different rituals.

I did not know what to expect.

But, boy, did it net results.

Absolutely. And, you know, we're not here

to believe any particular thing, to debunk any particular thing.

We're here to observe, perform experiments,

collect data and report the results of that experiment.

BRANDON: I think the only way to advance

research in topics like this is to think outside of the box.

Incredible. A key hot spot, a spooky hot spot

and hopefully a hot spot where there'll be much more to come.

But when we come back, I want to talk about another hot spot.

One that is right near us and where you've had

a literal and figurative breakthrough.

♪ ♪

The 512 acres of Skinwalker Ranch

contain numerous hot spots that may soon help reveal

the secret behind all this high strangeness.

But before the team gets back to their quest,

guys, I want to again talk about the mesa.

Because it has been full of challenges

and also full of answers.

Thomas, notion of a dome-shaped anomaly

in the mesa, does that compute with you?

Are you able to make sense of that somehow?

If it wasn't for the fact that we pulled metal out,

I'd assume that we were up against a rock.

-Sure. -Uh, and that it was

a stone that was pushing the drill bit.

But once we got into the mesa,

the entire length there, we-we were pulling this metal out

in pretty large quantities.

So, when you get the data back from the driller

and he shows you the drilling profile of what they just did

and you've got a nice shaped dome there

and then, the second year,

we go in from the top and we try to hit it from the top

(stammers) I don't know what to make of it.

That's the simple answer.

I-I don't know what to make of it.
