-A brand-new show led by the most iconic bombshell
in "Love Island" history... Maura Higgins.
Now I've got the flutters.
-For the first time ever, I'm bringing "Aftersun" to the USA,
along with special guests Ariana Madix
and our first dumped islander of the series, Coye.
I'll be bringing you all the juicy gossip
and exclusives from the villa.
-No tea will be left unspilled.
Nothing is off limits.
-Actually, Iain, I think I can take it from here.
Welcome to "Love Island: Aftersun."
Only on Peacock.
-I was about to say that.
-Bula from Fiji,
and welcome to the first-ever "Love Island USA: Aftersun."
Each week, I'll bring you all the juicy gossip,
behind-the-scenes scoops,
and exclusive chats with the islanders
after they're dumped.
And joining us any minute now is "Love Island's"
brand-new leading lady, Ariana Madix,
and our first dumped islander of the series, Coye.
We'll even reveal bombshells
and speak to islanders from the villa.
Here to help me spill this truckload of tea
is an ex-islander who's as memorable as she is loud.
It's Cely Vazquez!
Hi! - Hi! You look stunning.
- You look so hot. - Like, this is unreal.
-And the fiery Aussie pocket rocket
who made waves on "Love Island Australia"
before making tsunamis on "Love Island Games,"
one of my all-time favorites,
it's Jessica Losurdo!
Whoo!
Hi.
- You look good. - You look fit.
- You look fit. - We all look fit.
We all look fit!
-Wait, now. I want to start...
Have you recovered from "Love Island Games"?
-I'm fully defrosted now, but it took me a while, okay?
- Really? Really? - Yeah.
- What about you, Jess? - It didn't take me that long.
- Did it not? - Yeah!
- Did it not? Really? - No!
-Right, for anyone who has missed
any of the "Love Island" action,
I've personally edited a whole week
of must-see moments in this handy little recap.
You're welcome.
-I'm not wearing panties, so don't pick me up.
-It's gonna be a hell of a summer, boys.
-Hello.
I'm Olivia.
-I was, like, "Wow."
- So, who you coupled up with? - Leah.
-Are we fucked?
-The boy I want to steal is...
Rob.
-Hope it works out.
-I'm interested in you.
Hey, look at these two, as well.
-They're matching.
-Obviously, I like you.
-Your responses seem very scripted.
I thought I was doing good.
-She's a fucking liar.
-Explain yourself, sir!
-Coye, your time on "Love Island" is over.
-I'm feeling you. You're a really good guy.
My connection with him is stronger.
- Yeah. - But I do feel kind of confused.
-I'm just not here for anybody being not upfront.
-I made the right decision by choosing Kendall.
-I'm targeting Hakeem.
- Whoo! - My gosh!
-I feel like I'm getting pranked.
-I'm fucked.
Whoo!
-Stupid Mr. Muscle doing press-ups with my future wife.
I'll just let them do their thing.
-I didn't figure that you would be this upset
about me kissing another dude.
I really fucked this up.
-So, let's try and unpack the week.
We need to talk about the class of '24.
Everyone is so fit. - Yeah.
-Like, I know it's "Love Island,"
but, like, come on. - But this is, like, next level.
- This is next level. - They really did, like, their
thing with this cast, I think. - I agree.
-Who are we loving at the moment?
-I love Leah. I love Rob.
I think I love all of them,
but I like them, I think, the most right now.
-We've already had our first dumped of the series, Coye.
What were we thinking of that? Were you shocked?
- No. - I was shocked.
- What?! - I wasn't. I saw it coming.
I think Coye really shot himself in the foot
in that challenge where you have to talk about the, um...
- Body counts. - The body counts.
- Yeah. He lied. - Yeah.
Honestly, that whole situation, my eyes rolled back so hard,
I could see my fully developed frontal lobe.
I was like, "What is going on here?"
-Really. Who's counting 150 people?
-I just can't with him. I really can't.
-I think, like, when you first meet someone,
like, you give them a ballpark.
-But what I think he shot himself in the foot at
is in the challenge where JaNa revealed her body count.
He was muttering under his breath.
- Yeah. - And he was like,
"Fucking liar, fucking liar." - Not good, really, yeah.
-And then it was just like, number one,
that's not called for, like, doing that in front of a group.
- Yeah. - Kind of almost shaming her...
- Yeah. - Like it's not okay
if JaNa's slept with, like, one-fifth of what he has,
but he's okay to do it 'cause he's a guy.
- So, we're not a fan? - I'm not.
-Well, he is joining us on the show later,
so that's a bit awkward.
- Love that for me! - I love that for us.
- Love that for me! - Okay, we have to talk about
Kaylor and Aaron.
Did you think it was okay for her to do what she did
in the challenge because it was a challenge?
-I personally feel like challenges
are, like, supposed to be fun and like...
You know what I mean? And I think that's
how she thought of it.
-But do you think she would feel like that
if it was him kissing another girl in the challenge?
-Probably, yeah, actually. Yeah.
But I'm just all for women having fun.
-I am, too, yeah. Female empowerment!
You got to remember,
she did kiss Connor while they were coupled up.
- Yeah. - So I'm sure that would have
stung a little bit. - Yeah.
-But then for her to do it again in the challenge,
I think that was like, "I'm not gonna hold my tongue anymore.
"Like, I need to lay down the law.
It's me or that's it."
And, honestly, I'm all for that because why wouldn't you want
the guy that you're coupled up with to like you?
And I think that shows that he took a stand
and he was like, "No, like, I really like you."
-is it genuine, do you reckon?
-Yes. I actually think it's genuine.
I actually think they like each other.
Not to say that they're perfect.
I think one of them's gonna really screw up.
I can feel it. - So, you feel like
this is the test that they needed?
-No, I think there's more to come.
Yeah, I think there's more to come.
-I don't think we're ready.
-Okay, we need to move on to Hannah and Kendall.
What are we thinking?
-I love Hannah so much.
-And Hakeem... talk to me about that whole situation.
What were you thinking? - I just hate to see Hannah cry
'cause I feel like I know where her heart lays.
You know what I mean? And she's being really genuine
in there, and I feel like she was just exploring her options.
I think in that moment, she was like, "I'm 50/50."
- Yeah. - Which she didn't lie about.
She told Kendall that. So, for it to all just kind of
be thrown in her face, I was like...
- Yeah. - It made me sad for her.
- It was a bit much, wasn't it? - Yeah.
-And I feel like in those moments, you are very 50/50.
- Yeah. - He must have been angry
because he couldn't hold it in. - Yeah.
And I'm like, you know what?
It hurts to lose a bad bitch, so...
- It really does! I love that. - Yeah. On these shows.
-Yeah. It really does.
Okay, so, obviously, we saw the drama
after the whole fire pit scenario,
but then she went and kissed Hakeem again.
- I'm all for it. Like, sorry. - Really?!
- I'm all for it. - No, but I don't understand
how she saw that wasn't a big deal.
I think her words were, "I thought it was funny."
-I'm not gonna lie. I was laughing.
I did think it was funny. - I was laughing.
-It's a challenge. It's a challenge.
Let my girl live. It's "Love Island."
Kiss who you want to kiss.
-Liv and Hakeem are a couple now.
Do you think that's a real connection?
-No.
-We haven't really seen much, I guess.
-I think they gravitated towards each other
because that was all that was kind of left.
You know what I mean? - Yeah. That's very true.
- Yeah. - Yeah.
-Jess, I need to ask you... this phrase,
something about socks on centipedes.
What is this? - Okay, so, basically,
when an Aussie talks about anything to do with
doing something on an animal...
So, like, "I'm not here to put socks on centipedes,"
or, "I'm not here to fuck spiders"...
it basically means... - What?
-Who's fucking spiders?
-How can you fuck a spider?
Is that possible? - So many questions.
- Yeah, I've got a lot. - We love animals over there.
But it basically means, like, "I'm not here to play around."
Okay, so, if you think about it, right, it's like effort
because centipedes have, like, over 10 legs.
- So putting socks... - It's like wasting time?
- On centipedes... Yeah. - There's no point.
-Yeah. Like, I can't be bothered with all... Yeah.
- Okay. That makes more sense. - That makes... Yeah.
-Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-Some areas, like, they actually don't say it.
- Really? - I think you got to go...
Like rural Australia, everyone says it.
- Alright. - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-Two plus two is not equaling four, but for sure.
-I'm just gonna pretend I understand.
I really don't, though. - Yeah.
-Well, thank you so much, guys.
"Aftersun" will be back in a moment
with "Love Island's" number-one superfan
and new queen of the island, Ariana Madix.
Don't go anywhere.
Welcome back to "Aftersun"!
Our next guest is a straight-up superstar.
She's the glamorous queen of the island scene
who keeps showing us
that love has never looked this good.
Give it up for Ariana Madix!
Hello! - Hi!
- My God, you look so... - You look so hot.
-I was literally saying the same thing.
-Guys, we just saw each other
in the dressing room a few minutes ago.
- How are you? - I'm great.
- How are you? - My God, I'm really good.
We need to talk... "Love Island" superfan.
How does it feel to be hosting?
-It is so surreal, because, like,
I'm obsessed with everything. - Yeah.
- Every aspect, every season... - Yeah.
- obsessed with you for years.
-You've watched all of them, right?
- All of them. All of them. - Crazy.
-So, just to be in the villa
and speaking and talking to the islanders
and being a part of all of it, it is absolutely crazy.
-We need to talk about that outfit, the walk-in outfit.
Like... - Thank you.
I'm still not okay.
- The opening number, as well. - My gosh.
-That was, like, a full-on music video.
-Yeah, I was having my, like, Britney Spears...
- Here. We have it. - "Sometimes" moment.
We got up... I got up, I think, at like 3:00 in the morning,
and we got on a tiny boat
before the sun was, like, even coming up
to go to this island and shoot this.
And then all those dancers were so nice.
And they taught me, like,
the little choreo before we started,
and they were so energetic the whole time.
I was, like, so blown away. - It looks insane.
I mean, you are an amazing dancer anyway.
- Thank you! - Can you teach me to dance?
-Sure. Do you want to learn, like, that little bit?
-I want to learn something. I'm a terrible dancer, though,
so I hope you're ready. - You just copy me.
-Yeah. I'm ready. Okay, so, it was just like...
God. I'm nervous.
-Okay. It was just...
"I came here for love." - "For love."
- Down. - Down.
- Over. Windmill this way. - No, that's difficult.
-This.
And then they turned, and I just like...
I'm not turning in heels.
And then it was in, in, down, down...
- I feel like Shakira. - Up, up, turn around.
-Turn and... I think I did great.
- You got it. You got it. - I did great. I did great.
-We're going to do it again on the beach now...
- Thank you. - And have our own
music video, the two of us. - Thank you. Thank you.
I know. Yeah.
What was it like walking into the villa
for the very first time?
-It was so exciting.
Like, I had been watching them on the monitors,
and so I was, like, really excited to meet all the girls.
-Filming goes on for a long time.
- A long time. - People don't know.
- Yeah. - Any gossip that wasn't aired?
-I want juicy gossip.
-Okay, so, what was really funny
is when Leah picked Rob for the coupling,
I asked, like, what was it?
There was something that she said that was so cute.
She said that they had this moment
when they were all sitting there...
'Cause there's a lot of bugs. - Yeah.
- We're in Fiji. - A lot of bugs. We're in Fiji.
There's a lot of bugs. And she said something
that stood out to her was that
there was a cricket
and everyone was like, "my God," and he said,
"Don't kill the cricket. It's bad luck.
It's really bad to kill it."
And she thought that was like... - Aww!
-She's an animal lover,
and so that, like, really appealed to her.
- And so is he. - Yeah.
And so they had this little, like, inside moment
before the coupling. - Yeah.
I love them together. - I do, too.
I was a little bit mad at him
because when I was watching him on that swing
have that conversation with Liv,
I was a little bit, like,
"This boy's getting on my last nerve."
- Right. - Because he was giving her
enough that she thought...
-That Liv thought there might be something there.
And so when he acted like he was so shocked that she chose him,
I was like, "Don't be that shocked."
-Yeah. In front of her as well.
-Yeah. So I was like, "You got to...
You can't be doing this."
So I'm really glad... He turned it around.
- Yeah. - But for a second there,
I was like, "Mnh." - Yeah. I felt the same.
I was a bit like, "I'm not sure about
- the way you reacted there." - Yeah.
I was not feeling that at first. - Okay. You need to tell me.
Who is your little "Love Island" crush?
'Cause if you tell me yours, I'll tell you mine.
- Okay, so... - That's the deal.
- there's, like, looks and personality, right?
-We're just going off looks here.
-Looks, right off the bat, Coye.
I mean, right off the bat, I was like, ""
He's got a really cute smile.
-Now, what is it like being beside him?
He's, like, cute, right? - Yeah.
It's a little bit like this. - What is he, 6'8"?
-Yeah. But, like, he was sitting next to me,
and I don't feel like... it didn't feel...
it didn't feel like, "my God," you know, like this.
- Really? - Yeah.
-Maybe he's lying about that, too.
Too soon?
Maybe. - It depends.
But then, personality-wise,
the second time I came in the villa,
Aaron told me I looked really pretty.
Was he flirting?
-I mean, he was... I think he was just being nice.
-He was definitely flirting. He was definitely flirting.
But I was like, "that's nice."
So I'm like... You know, there's, like, the looks vibe
and then there's the personality vibe.
Who's your crush?
-I think Connor is very fit.
-Okay, Connor is, like, super cute.
-Yeah. He's like a god.
-Both him and Hakeem.
You know, I had my little high-five moment,
and as I, like, turned around and I saw them, I was like,
"Okay, these boys are very cute."
- Yeah. - Yeah.
-Do you have any advice for the islanders?
'Cause obviously you've dealt with boy drama...
- Yeah. - On a show...
- Yeah. - And you handled it
very well, if I must say so myself.
-Thank you. Um, I think...
See, I think JaNa did it perfectly.
It was really sad to see Coye go,
but at the same time, I think...
I've done this in my life, and I think so many of us
have done it where we hold on to the potential of something...
- Yeah. - Instead of just being like,
"I'm not getting what I need to get," and moving on.
So, it was tough,
and I felt for her so bad. Like, I almost cried...
- Same, same, same. Yeah. - Watching her struggle.
-Like, I thought my heart was, like, gonna
I was gonna poop it out onto the floor.
- Yeah. She had to take a moment. - But ultimately,
she did the right thing, yeah. - I think she did, as well.
Yeah. - Yeah.
So, the advice I would give
would just be to follow that lead.
-We need to know... what's your favorite moment of the week?
[ Inhales sharply ] First week, "Love Island."
-Okay, I actually loved when the bombshells came in
and the boys were making fun of the other people.
My God, I was dying.
-Then Kordell was like, "Excuse me."
"Excuse me. Muscle man coming through."
That was brilliant. - Dying.
No, the boys are giving hilarity.
And the girls... I love how, like,
they've just have been building each other up,
and I feel like they have, like, a really good squad.
-Yeah. Right, well, we need to know,
when are you heading back into that villa to stir shit up?
I might be heading back tomorrow night.
Exclusive!
-And I might not be wearing much clothing.
-Another exclusive.
Wow. Okay. I'm... I'm excited.
I'm sure the islanders are excited.
-Yeah, I got to work on my tan between now and then
so I'm ready with the look because, trust me, the look...
-No, this looks great! That's my bronzer.
- It's your bronzer. - She's wearing my bronzer.
Security!
Thanks for coming and chatting.
From the face of "Love Island"
to the voice of "Love Island" now,
time for a weekly segment Iain demanded we call...
-Iain Stirling's Unseen Moments of the Week!
-Take it away, Iain.
-Hi, everyone. Iain Stirling here.
You may recognize me from such shows
as, well, this one
Unseen Bits," God rest its soul.
It was too young to die.
Well, there have been big changes,
and "Unseen Bits" is back as "Unseen Bit,"
proving that good shows don't die,
they just come back as a single segment
on another show that people might actually watch.
And this first unseen bit is a big one,
and the producers wanted it to remain unseen
as a brand-new bombshell hits the villa
and causes quite a fuss with the ladies.
- My God. - My God!
-Wait. We need the bug man.
Run!
Excuse me. There's a giant bug in the room.
Do you mind if someone helps us get it out?
-It might eat our makeup!
-Eat the makeup?
Where is it?
-Is it still in there?
Now I'm worried we can't find it.
Holy shit!
- You dumb... - I'm fucking with y'all.
Where is it?
- It's right there! - It's there.
Easy, easy. What are we gonna do?
- Get it out. - What are we gonna do?!
-No, what would you actually do? I would be gone.
-I would want to get it outside.
-You'd get that close to it, though?
- Does it fly? - Yeah.
I think. I don't know. I've just made that up.
-I would need, like, a big cup and, like, a big piece of paper,
and... But that thing was like this big.
-Yeah, massive. I... No.
No way would I even try.
-Aww, Ariana, it was so nice to have you.
Ariana Madix, everyone!
Coming up after the break,
I'll be having an exclusive one-on-one chat with Coye.
See you after the break.
Aww!
-Welcome back to "Aftersun"!
"Love Island's" two main exports
are personalized water bottles and drama.
And our first week delivered the drama.
Couples be coupling, bombshells be bombshelling,
and perhaps the biggest surprise of all,
the shock dumping of our O.G. boy, Coye.
No way.
-A whole vibe.
-Yeah, I have options.
There's three women here who got their eyes on me.
We all can't be 6'8".
Go with JaNa.
It has to be, like, Beyoncรฉ walking in
to break us up. You know what I mean?
-Have fun in there.
-I ain't worried about him.
They can bring Hercules in this mother.
-And you'd still fuck him up.
- I think you're very gorgeous. - [ Chuckles ] Thanks.
-Yeah.
-I feel like when it comes to conversations with Coye,
I have to, like, initiate them,
whereas Connor, it was just, like,
back and forth, nice and easy.
That's how it's like that.
-Do you think JaNa's body count is higher or lower than Leah's?
-Lower.
She's a fucking liar.
-He told me for sure the body count is a 100,
maybe a little bit lower.
That's not your ego talking,
like, your pride, 'cause it's not cute.
-They're gonna think what they want to think
at the end of the day.
[ Crying ] It just sucks 'cause I feel like I'm trying so hard.
I don't even know how he feels.
-It's time for the first recoupling.
-Connor.
-I feel like JaNa... she made the best decision for her.
She's going off her emotions, which is valid,
and I respect it.
-Well, the villa's loss is our gain, because he's here with me
right now.
Let's hear it for Coye, everyone!
Coye, you had three girls step on your heart at the very
beginning.
What do you think went wrong?
-For me, I feel like I put all my eggs in one basket.
- Was it always JaNa for you? - It wasn't at first.
I was this close to picking Serena.
- Really? - Yeah.
-Do you regret your decision now?
-Yeah, if I was turn back time,
like, we can go right back to the beginning,
I would have picked Serena for sure.
Definitely think chemistry was there.
I feel like we was both moving at the same pace from things she
was telling me about how she was moving with Kordell and how
versus how I was moving with JaNa.
I kind of feel like she was kind of moving
at the same exact pace.
-If you had more time,
do you think something could have developed there?
-Yeah, I feel like if I had more time,
something definitely woulda, coulda.
-The body count was obviously an issue for JaNa.
And obviously she said you were lying
because you had told her it was a hundred.
Came out it was 150.
Do we actually count on our fingers?
-No. The body count, that number wasn't even real.
Okay. - Yeah. So that whole thing...
- Why did you say that? - I didn't say that.
- You didn't? - No, I didn't say that.
-I'm pretty sure the production team have
the receipts of that.
-Yeah. No, I didn't say that.
- No? - No.
-Well, Coye, you weren't in the villa long,
but you made a huge impact on your fellow islanders.
Would you like to see your farewell messages
that they recorded for you? - Yeah.
- They're sweet. - That'd be cool.
-Hi, Coye.
I hope you're watching this with your chin held high.
And I just want to say, bro, that I love you lots.
And I don't have any doubt
that when you're on the outside world,
you're going to be having any problems with picking girls up,
quite literally.
-We love you so much, Coye.
And I know that you will find a bomb-ass bitch.
-Little "C," we are dropping that mixtape soon.
When we get back, we're collabing.
So, Godspeed to you, Little "C." You'll be missed, man.
-I just want to say goodbye, Coye,
and thank you so much for being such an amazing human being.
Thank you for the cutest bedtime stories,
and I hope you've learned a lot from this experience.
And I wish you nothing but the best.
-How does that feel watching that?
-Feels good.
-You made some really good friendships in there.
-Yeah, I made some good friends.
-I'm looking forward to that mixtape, by the way.
-Yeah, we gotta drop that mixtape.
- I need to hear that. - Yeah.
-Well, Coye, we've loved having you.
Like, honestly, I'm completely shocked.
I'm so sad to see you go. Give it up for Coye, everyone.
Thank, y'all.
-Our next two guests flying all the way to Fiji
had to be first-class tickets. But after seeing the price tag,
we realized nothing's as luxurious
as a premium Zoom subscription.
They're the hosts of the brand-new "Love Island" podcast,
"Spill the Tea with Nikki and Brie."
-It's Nikki and Brie!
-What's up?
-Hello, everyone.
-Hi. Thank you for joining us.
-Yes. Sorry we're so far away.
I wish you were here.
- We do, too. - Us, too.
-Once you all can afford those first-class tickets.
Unfortunately, not this year.
Are you enjoying the show?
-So super obsessed.
I honestly think this season is the best cast yet.
I feel like they're just really bringing it.
I can't believe the drama within four episodes so far.
It's just so good.
-And as a job, you guys get to talk about the show.
That's pretty epic.
-Yeah, we get to be little "Judgy Judys."
It's so good.
-Love that. Nikki and Brie, tell us.
What's coming up on the podcast this week?
What tea have you got to spill?
-The tea that we can spill right now
is to kick off this podcast,
we have the most high-profile guest ever.
And that's you, Maura.
You're kicking it off with us this Monday.
-You weren't meant to tell anyone!
- It was a secret! - Shoot! Tea spilled.
- I'm excited, girls. - Right. We can't wait, either.
And every Monday you will see
"Spill the Tea with Nikki and Brie,"
and we're so excited for it.
-Okay, I'll see you then, girls.
Nikki. Brie, everyone! - See you then.
- Thank you. - Yes.
-You can listen to a brand-new episode
of "Spill the Tea with Nikki and Brie" every Monday,
available wherever you get your podcasts.
Coming up...
Cely and Jess spill the tea on our other couples.
Rob and Leah will be live in the beach hut,
and I'll have an exclusive chat
with two brand-new bombshells heading into the villa.
-Hello, and welcome back to "Love Island Aftersun USA,"
which is not sponsored by Cheez-Its.
But like Kordell, we wish we were.
-So, I definitely want to do sponsorships, as well,
- Like? - Cheez-Its.
I can't get enough of Cheez-Its.
-Cely and Jess are back!
-Time for another deep dive into our couples,
starting with Serena and Kordell.
- Friend zone. - Friend zone.
-Not the end zone. Yeah.
-We need to talk about the first night.
They were in matching colors. Match made in heaven.
But obviously they like each other.
They fancy each other. She's not feeling it, is she?
Come on. - I don't think so.
- She's not. - Mnh-mnh.
- It's just so spare. - Yeah. No.
And she even said it herself.
She was like trying to feel it out.
And I feel like I've known from the beginning.
I was like, "She's not as into him as he is into her."
- Yeah. - Yeah.
And Serena really wants him to make the first move,
but is he just too nice for that?
-I feel like he's tried, though.
He's kind of told her, like, "I want to go at your pace."
Like, "I'm gonna, like, go with what you're comfortable with."
- But then she also. - Said that he sounds scripted.
-Yeah. I didn't think that he sounded scripted.
-I didn't, either, but maybe she's just
not that into him.
-Yeah.
-I think she's making up excuses.
I think that she was never into him from the beginning.
And she's making up excuses.
She is! - They do look good together.
-They look amazing together. I so wish that, like,
they would just figure it out because I love them.
I feel like they'd be great together,
but I feel like she's not open to it, you know?
-Yeah.
-And you know, I'm not gonna lie.
Kordell is actually one of my favorites. I love.
- Really? - Yeah, I do.
I really like him because I love a guy that can pay himself out.
At the start, he won me over.
He went, "I'm a short king." - I loved that, as well.
-I loved that.
And I think he's, like, presented himself
in such a gentlemanly way, like not forcing himself on her.
-We need to talk about his brother being
Odell Beckham Jr.
Do you think that's going to make a difference
to the way Serena feels?
Who's that?
Jess! [ Laughs ] Jess!
-Who is that?
-His brother is Odell Beckham Jr.
Very, very famous footballer.
He's a big deal.
- Okay. - Yeah.
-But he did say that already. And she still said...
-Yeah, he said it in the challenge.
Yeah.
So, I don't think that it made a difference for her.
Will it make a difference to the other girls? Perhaps.
- Bombshells coming in. - I'm ready.
- They know that. - You're right!
- Shit! - Yeah, they do.
Maybe... - That will be a change.
Yeah. Very interesting. - Yeah.
-Coye told me earlier he wished he coupled up with Serena.
-Tea.
Honestly, like, I hate hearing stuff like that
because then I just get sad.
I'm like, "They could have been a good couple.
She was initially interested in him, and, in my opinion,
more interested in Coye than she has been in Kordell.
-Yeah.
-So, it's just kind of sad because it's like now
man's gone and like, they'll never get to see that.
You know? - I know.
Okay, we need to move on to Rob and Leah.
- I love them. - Love them,
-I love them.
-They are so like rom-com coded.
- Yes. - You know what I mean?
Like, everything they do makes me feel things and I'm obsessed.
-I really love Leah.
I think Leah is a protected-species sort of thing.
And, like, I just do not want her to get hurt.
I actually think Rob would treat her well.
They just seem so smitten so early.
- Yeah. - And I think in there,
when you kind of know, you know.
I definitely think they have winning potential.
I think they do.
I think they could make it to the end.
-And we had Rob in Casa Amor last year.
He didn't get into the villa at all.
Do you think he'll go all the way?
- Absolutely. - Yeah.
-Really? That's a big statement for week one.
- You have to love Rob. - I know.
-He's literally
like a little Matthew McConaughey, Patrick Swayze.
Like, he just says all the right things.
- Would Rob be your type? - Absolutely.
-Everything he says would work on me.
I want to purchase snakes and unleash them in my home
so that I could call this man to come and get them.
-Now, that's crazy! Now, that's crazy.
-No, I love that! They had their first test.
How do you think Leah handled it all?
-Wait, is it like when Liv came in?
I think Leah did good.
Um, I think she could have done better
at unpacking what Rob said to Liv because,
like, at the start, he did say to Liv,
"like, I think you're really attractive,"
things like that.
Um, but then he was kind of in complete shock
when she chose him.
-I think at that point that's when he realized,
"like, I think I like Leah better."
-As a fellow Aussie, how do you think Liv's doing?
-Actually, I think she's representing us pretty well.
Like, I think she's really direct, straight to the point.
Like, and I bloody love that for her.
- Yeah. I agree. - Yeah.
- She's a firecracker. - Like, she does not care.
-Very good bombshell.
-Yeah. No, she's very good bombshell.
She came in hot.
I think if she came on my season as a bombshell,
I would absolutely shoot myself.
But I think Leah on screen, you could tell she's a bit unsure.
You could tell that there was...
She knew that there's something that she's missed.
- She's clever. - She's very clued on.
She's very clued on. - She is.
She knew there was something else, yeah.
-And that's what I really like about her.
I think, like, she's very smart
and she can really read the situation.
- And she's calling it out, too. - Yeah.
Also, like, I think she's remained really calm,
um, in that last challenge when Liv thew the water at her.
-That was shocking.
-Come on. Give it to me, bitch!
Shit!
-She went to throw it at Kaylor, and then turned around.
- Did a fake-out. - Yeah. Yeah.
-I think I would have snapped.
- I would have lost it. - I would have gagged.
-The fake-out was crazy!
I would have been fuming. I think I would have seen red.
I'd be like, "Give me that fucking bucket."
And I would have grabbed the bucket,
and I would have tossed it on her.
And then I'd be like, "Give me another one."
- And I believe that. - I believe you, yeah.
I would have loved to see it.
- I think, yeah. - I want to see it.
Yeah.
-I think it would be very ugly, but I don't care.
-Well, we do have Leah and Rob
joining us very soon from the beach hut.
I'm excited to chat to them.
- I'm so excited. - They just seem so cute.
I love them so much I can't wait.
- Yeah. Me too. - Okay.
We need to move on to JaNa and Connor.
New couple. No one saw that coming.
-Let me just say she stood on business.
Like, we don't want nonchalant men here.
We want "fully chalant," okay?
And Connor came with it. And I'm just so happy
that she was able to go in there and do what,
like, is really difficult for women to do, I think.
- Yeah. - She killed it.
- They look so good together. - Yeah.
-Do two super-hot people make a right?
- Yes. - Yes.
-No.
-They're not fighting over the mirror or anything.
- Sorry. - Like, I love them.
I think they're so cute.
-I think you love them as individuals
because we love JaNa. We love her.
-To be fair, whatever she does, I'm like, "Yes, Mother."
-But I don't think they're good together.
I think their personality types are so different.
Like, she's so bubbly, like, she's like genuine and like,
I'm not going to lie. I just think he's a bit boring for her.
- Yeah. - Yeah.
-Well, Connor tried to get with Kaylor.
And then that was shut down. - Yeah.
-And now it's only that he's, like, showing interest...
-Yeah.
- towards JaNa. Do you think that's a bit?
-I don't think they'll be a couple locked in until the end.
I think he'll, um,
I think either of them will switch.
I don't think they're both as into each other as...
- Right. - Yeah.
-You think bombshells could stir the pot?
- Rock that real quick, yeah. - Real quick.
-I'm really hoping that they kind of maybe make it work.
I really like them. I think you're right, though.
I like them as individuals a lot,
so I'm hoping that it'll work, but we'll see.
-Okay. Well, great chat, guys.
Thank you so much. Our panel everyone.
Thank you.
Right, break time now,
but coming up, Rob and Leah will be live from the beach hut.
-Welcome back to the show.
Right. Time for a trip to the villa
as we cross live to the beach hut to say hi to Rob and Leah.
Hi, guys. It's Maura Higgins here.
- Hi. - You're live on "Aftersun."
How are you feeling?
- So good. - Amazing.
You don't look happy.
No. We're so excited.
And I'm such a huge fan. I can't believe it's you.
Guys we're loving your journey.
- Thank you. - So great to meet you.
-How's your first week in the villa?
Smooth sailing, no drama, I'm sure, right?
- Yeah. - Totally.
It's been so good. No drama, nothing.
That's a lie.
-We've been together the whole time.
It's literally been a different thing every day.
But I feel like that's just how it goes.
-Yeah.
-Guys, it looks like it's getting
a bit serious between you two.
Are we getting a dog anytime soon?
An animal? We know you guys love animals.
-What do you think? Probably not.
We don't have anywhere to keep it at the moment.
-I have a lot of animals myself.
So, it kind of comes down to if he wants to be a stepparent.
Right.
Are you both up for playing a game with me?
-Of course.
-Now that you've known each other for a whole five days,
we thought we'd put you to the ultimate test
with a rapid-fire game of "Him or Her?"
- [ Laughing ] Okay. - I love that game.
-Get your paddles out. Okay. Rob and Leah, are you ready?
- Yes. - Yes.
-In three, two, one. Who is funnier?
God, we're not off to a great start, are we, guys?
-I think we're both funny, but I'm definitely funnier.
-Who is more romantic?
- Yeah, that's what I meant. - It's a match.
I didn't mean that.
Who's the best cook?
-Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Good answer. Rob.
-I do all the cooking here.
-I want to. I'm trying to. Bear with me.
- Give her time. - Yeah.
-Who's the grumpiest in the mornings?
I...
-Yeah, we're both pretty grumpy.
- Yeah. - Okay. Who's the messiest?
Really?
-I would die if you saw the wardrobe.
-Who's the biggest flirt?
Yeah. Who takes up most of the bed at night?
I guess I'm bigger.
-I feel like we, like, lean on one side of the bed more.
[ Laughing ] In the middle.
-Okay, and, finally, who has the best fashion sense?
-Yes. Good answer.
Just one last question, guys.
Leah, how did you feel about the denim overalls from last night?
-I like them. Even, like, before I met Rob,
I literally was saying to my sister,
like, "I deserve, like, a farm man."
Like a sexy, like, farmer like that.
And that's what it was giving.
-What about the flip-flops?
-No, I told him I never want to see him in thongs, ever.
And he's done a good job.
He fucked with me once, but that was funny.
But it's just, I think he needs to keep his...
- Just don't fuck with me again. - Yeah.
-Yeah. Okay. Thank you so much, guys.
-Thank you. We love you, Maura.
- Bye. - Okay, "Love Island" lovers,
brace yourselves for a global-first exclusive reveal.
-For the first time ever, we're going to meet
the villa's newest bombshells before they go into the villa.
-Don't go anywhere... or else.
-Welcome back to "Aftersun"!
Tonight I'm launching not one,
but two bombshells into the villa.
Now, before they enter and really shake things up,
I'd like you to meet the first of our islanders
before anyone else.
It's Andrea.
Whoo! Yeah!
Queen!
- How are you? - My God, I am so excited.
-I'm so excited.
You're literally about to walk on Love Island.
-I know.
- What the hell? - And find my husband.
- Yes! Yes! - Yes. I'm so excited.
-I cannot believe I get to meet you before you go on.
How are you feeling?
-Honestly, like, anxious, but excited.
Like, it's been so long. - It's a weird feeling, right?
-Yeah.
- Weird. - So weird, so strange.
- Can't describe it. - No. No words. Speechless.
-Are you ready to bombshell, though?
I'm excited.
-I want you to bombshell so hard.
-It's like World War III is about to happen, so...
-Okay, tell us a bit about yourself.
-So, I'm from Miami, Florida.
So, I, like, come from a Latin background.
So, I'm Latina, fluent Spanish.
Yes!
- Spicy. - Sexy.
-So, Colombian, Cuban. I'm super family-orientated.
Super, like, grounded in that sense.
But I am like a little, like, mischief.
I've always kind of been, like, spontaneous
and just like the goofy one of my group.
- I love that. - Yeah.
-Who have you got your eyes on?
-Well, I love accents. Love yours, by the way.
-Okay.
-That's like my first thing I always notice about somebody.
But definitely, with that being said,
Aaron, for sure. - I was waiting for it.
-I'm, like, melting.
Like, the thing about an accent, like,
you could mess up, and you say, "Sorry"
or whatever you say in your accent.
I'm like, "Forgiven, forgiven." Him and Rob,
like, are my top two right now that I have, like, my eye on.
- Anyone else? - That's like it for now.
I'm very big on personality,
so I feel like getting to know the guys a little more
and talking with them, I'll get, like, more of an insight.
But right now, like, seeing how they've moved.
I have my eyes on those two. So...
-Well, you know, you're not going in alone.
-No.
-You're going in another bombshell
and you've not met her yet.
-Nope. Never met her. I'm so excited, too.
-Would you like to meet Nicole?
I would love to meet Nicole.
-I definitely want to meet her. Okay. We need to get Nicole out!
Wow!
- Hello! - Hello!
-Nice to meet you. Let me give you a hug.
- Besties for life now. - Yes!
-I'm so happy to go in with another girl.
-I know. Safe.
- Yeah, it puts a bit at ease. - Yeah, for sure.
- How are you feeling? - I'm so excited.
I'm honestly so excited to meet you, too.
Thank you.
-I love your accent.
- Thank you so much. - Tell us a bit about yourself.
-So, I'm 26.
I live in Sacramento, California, right now,
but I'm from Nevada, and, I don't know.
I feel like I'm just a really outgoing girl.
I love hanging out with my friends, family,
going to the gym, just doing anything, really.
- Okay. Outgoing. - Yeah, always down for anything.
I love having a good time. - What do you do?
- I'm in medical sales. - Wow.
Wow.
- Yeah, I sell skin grafts. - Wow! Jesus!
-It's really fun.
-Which boys are you going to go for?
Is there one? Is there a few?
- There's a few. - A few? Okay.
We want to know. We want to know everything.
-I really like... can I just name them?
- Yes. - Okay. Kordell.
- Kordell. - Hakeem.
- Okay. - And Kendall.
Those are the ones I have my eyes on just immediately.
But I'm open to talking to everyone.
- Most of them. - Yeah.
-Yeah. Good!
-That's like all of them, yeah.
-Kendall and Hannah are actually having relationship problems.
Sad.
- Sorry. No, that's awful. - Sad, but whatever.
-It's early days, though, right?
- It is early days. - Yeah. So...
-What's your strategy?
-My strategy is just to be myself.
- Yes. - You know, I feel like going
in there as a bombshell,
I don't want to step on any toes,
but I also have to look out for myself.
So, I'm going to go for what I want.
And I feel like my strategy is really just be myself
and talk to everyone, not take anything to heart
and go in for what I want, going in there for.
-Yeah, I'm really rooting for you two.
You're walking in as a duo.
Look at us. We're all...
Truly, we're all bombshells here.
I really want you to go for it. - Yeah.
-Like, literally go for it. Make me proud, please.
-You were on my favorite season of UK ever, Season 5, right?
-Yes.
-And you came in as a bombshell and a very scary one,
where the girls are watching you from the balcony, right?
When you were eating dinner? - Yeah.
-How did you handle the pressure?
-Yeah.
- Do you know what? - Or did you not think...
-I didn't feel pressure.
I was just, like, "I don't really care."
Like, I was in there for me.
Like, obviously we all don't want to step on toes,
but, like, you don't have any loyalties to these people.
You're just walking in, so go for it.
- True. Yeah. - That's what I did, anyway.
I mean, I'm still single, so...
Okay, well, girls, I've got a little challenge for you.
- Ooh, okay! - Okay.
-Just so we know you're thinking of us on "Aftersun,"
I really want you to get one of the islanders
to say "fanny flutters."
- Fanny flutters? - Yeah.
-What is that? Okay.
-It can't be you two, though.
-Yeah, how would you use that in a sentence, though?
So, I kind of remember because it's like...
It's like making you, like, butterflies, but in your...
- Exactly. - Okay, cool.
-Okay.
-Okay, we'll talk about it before we go in, yeah, yeah.
-We'll plan it out. Yeah, we'll plan it out.
- Get someone to say it. - Yeah.
- Yeah. - Okay. Got it.
- Do we get a prize? - Do they get a prize?
-We'll make you happy. That's the incentive.
-I'd be just very happy.
- Okay. - And we will support you.
- Yeah. - Yeah.
-Okay. I think we can do it.
-Yeah, we can do it. That's easy.
-That's easy. We'll get creative.
-You think it's going to be easy?
- I think it's gonna be easy. - Really?
- Yeah. - Yeah, yeah.
-Okay. Well, I need to let you both prepare
to be the ultimate bombshells.
Do not let me down, please.
- We won't. We won't. - We'll make you proud.
-Thank you so much for joining us.
-It's been a pleasure. Thank you for having us.
Nicole and Andrea, everyone.
Thank you. I'm so excited for you!
- I'm so excited. - Yes!
That's it for tonight's show.
Thank you so much to all my guests... Cely, Jessica, Coye,
Nikki and Brie, and two amazing new bombshells.
And, of course,
the Empress of Love Island herself, Ariana Madix.
I'll be back here next Saturday to scoop some more tea
with some very special guests.
Don't miss "Love Island" tomorrow night,
only on Peacock.
Good night!
Yay!
