Nicolette is one of only four American women

the sale of corrosive liquids to minors

and overhauling the laws around possession of acid.

What stopped the attacks?

It was a copycat crime that was on the verge

of getting really out of control

until law enforcement put an end to it.

with links to organized crime.

Apparently known for using funds

to pay debts and line his own pockets.

Charged two years ago in a pay-for-play scandal

involving permits for his two dig sites.

And when Leon went to court, the charges were

mysteriously dropped due to lack of evidence

and witnesses recanting their testimony.

Any links to him owning or working

at a construction company or site?

Working on it.

Leon doesn't get what he wants from Alva,

so he attacks Nicolette as retribution?

Leon had an ongoing relationship

with my predecessor

and tried to keep the bribery going with me

when I was elected into office.
