Jason, shed a little bit of light on the new plant species

that's been popping up.

Well, quite frankly, we have no idea.

Every leading botanist that I've spoken to in my field,

is at a complete loss as to the sudden emergence

of this strange new flower that's popped up in California.

Is there a possibility that this could just be

a dormant species?

Not likely.

Plants like this don't normally stay dormant for centuries,

and then just reappear overnight,

without some type of explanation.

Okay, and what about the reports that's been popping up

in other parts of the country?

Well, Cree, that's what's even stranger about this plant.

I mean, the fact that it's popping up

all over the southeastern United States,

including parts of Florida, given the soil differences

and climate changes in those different zones,

that makes it even more troubling to study.

Okay.

Jason, anybody who's not familiar

with what we're talking about, describe the plant.

Well, unfortunately, this plant has

all the hallmarks of an invasive species,

given its rapid growth and tremendous spread

in such a short amount of time.

Again, it's very concerning to me and my fellow botanists.

All right, and where do you speculate

this plant may have come from?

Well, Cree, I know I'm probably gonna be crucified

in both the scientific and news community, but you know,

maybe it's time that we consider the possibility

that this plant is not from this earth.

I mean, just possibly, you know,

it could've came from that ship that crashed in the desert

with new plant and animal wildlife.

Maybe that's not fake news, after all.

So, you're saying there's a possibility it could've come

from the planet they're dubbing Krypt X?

At this point in time, we have to consider

every reasonable possibility,

no matter what the evidence shows at this point in time.
