EPISODE 11

The poison will take effect soon.

It seems there's no way out of here,

but I should at least help Shen Wen escape.

She's here!

Men, over here!

The prisoner is here.

Not good.

Zhuge Jing?

Damn it,

it's a diversion.

Those pills aren't poison.

The poison comes from my lips.

Besides,

even if you don't want the antidote,

what about your precious Captain Mu?

Alright,

hand over the Beast Talisman.

You first, give me the antidote.

Don't be foolish.

You have roughly an hour before the poison takes effect,

and it's no different than taking it from your dead body.

If you don't give me the antidote,

I'd rather die

and hand the Beast Talisman to Rang Yanzhong.

You...

Hurry up! Move faster!

Hand me that Beast Talisman.

Rang Yanzhong is a ruthless person,

if you cooperate with him,

you risk losing your life.

How do I know the antidote is authentic?

Why are you so annoying?

Hurry up!

Wait,

your Bull Beast Talisman

isn't fake, right?

Why are you so annoying?

This Six Harmony Beast Talisman is excellently crafted,

it's not easy to counterfeit.

The last one I made took a long time to make.

I also remember you had that Bull Beast Talisman a long ago, right?

Since Miss Luo doesn't trust me,

then forget it!

I'll find Rang Yanzhong and make a deal instead.

The Nine Insanity Broken Heart Pill is my secret medicine.

Other than me, no one can save you.

Alright, I'll trust you this one time.

So give me the antidote.

Wait a minute!

It's better you toss it over here.

You toss the Beast Talisman first.

How about this?

I'll count to three,

and we toss them together.

Sure,

but don't try any tricks.

One...

Two...

Three!

Shen Zhizhi!

Luo Qingning,

I always thought that old man Xu Hongru

wanted the Beast Talisman for himself,

so he sent you to irritate me many times.

But I didn't expect you to be a traitor.

A bunch of worthless rabble,

still dreaming of being an emperor.

If it weren't for the Six Harmony Talisman

why should I pretend to be nice to you?

I'll deal with you later.

This must be the friend Zhuge Jing mentioned before,

Shen Wen, the master craftsman.

How are you?

Leave the Talisman behind

and pledge your loyalty to me.

I'll spare your life

and make you rich and prosperous.

You already live in the harsh shadows of the mountain,

perhaps you should worry about your prosperity first.

Shen Wen, this person is ruthless.

Don't fall for his tricks.

Give me that Beast Talisman,

and I'll find a way for you to escape.

Escape?

Today, no one can escape!

I can find my own way out.

That's not good.

I hope we never meet again,

both of you.

I didn't expect this to be a real antidote.

Miss Luo is truly a good person.

Shen Zhizhi,

don't let me catch you,

or I'll make you suffer badly.

My physical strength is almost gone,

and I can feel the poison taking over my body.

I'm not going down without a fight!

Not good,

the poison has started to take effect.

Kill her!

I hope Shen Wen can escape safely.

Shen Wen?

I didn't come late, did I,

Captain Mu?

You really are a fool.

On closer look,

he's really not that annoying.

Captain Mu,

how are you feeling?

Is there any discomfort?

It's fine,

I feel much better.

By the way,

what happened to the poison I ingested?

I got the antidote from Luo Qingning.

Thank you.

How long have I been unconscious?

Not very long.

It's not even half a day since we escaped from the Wenxiang Sect.

Judging from the convoy that followed them before,

their Holy Sect is located southeast of Qinan Prefecture.

If we go northwest for a few days,

we should get near Licheng.

Look for an official post station or something like that there

that and ask for temporary accommodation.

I'm afraid we can't.

I stumbled upon this list of Wenxiang Sect's rebels by chance.

According to it,

many towns and villages are already under their influence.

So many people are colluding with them already.

This isn't good.

We have to get this list out

and can't let them succeed.

Now that I've acquired the Bull Beast Talisman,

they'll definitely send people to guard all major roads.

As a precaution,

I recommend taking the mountain road instead.

Let's eat some food before we proceed.

Okay.

Don't look!

Hold on!

The Bull Beast Talisman,

I remember before departing, Brother Yuan should have

carried with him personally.

Did something happen to him?

No.

Commander Mu carries a fake Talisman.

He used himself as bait to attract the thieves' attention.

The real Talisman is with Ma Pengguang.

No wonder Ma Pengguang didn't come with us.

Then what happened to him?

Jinyiwei's work is inherently dangerous.

Sacrifices are inevitable.

I vaguely saw him running away,

so he should still be alive.

This Beast talisman,

you keep it for now.

If there's any danger,

take this talisman and run away first.

You must bring it back to the Imperial capital.

Don't worry,

I'll take you back with me.

It doesn't matter.

To a Jinyiwei,

the mission comes first.

Captain Mu, why did you become a Jinyiwei?

What about it?

Do you think it's weird for me to become a Jinyiwei?

No.

There's no real reason for that.

My family has been Jinyiwei for generations,

and I learned martial arts from a young age.

So it's natural that I joined the Jinyiwei.

Captain Mu's family is full of talented people.

Commander Mu is young and already skilled in martial arts.

Brother Yuan has worked hard since childhood

and has great talent.

Your sibling relationship with him must be good, right?

Of course!

Despite Brother Yuan being my father's adopted son,

our relationship is akin to that of true siblings.

I've always respected him.

Is that so?

What's wrong?

It's nothing.

Given Captain Mu's skill as a martial artist,

I can see the effort you've put into training.

I'm confident you'll be promoted soon.

Please don't flatter me.

How about you?

Aren't you a scholar?

Why do you like to tinker with these crafts?

My ancestors have a connection with Elder Mengxi,

leading to many craftsmen in my family.

I've apprenticed with them since childhood,

gradually learning the craft.

Additionally, as a scholar,

one must still support their family.

You're quite peculiar.

You enjoy unorthodox pursuits.

Though unorthodox,

they're harmless.

Right,

I didn't return your book last time.

If you like it,

you can keep it as a gift.

It's just a handwritten copy.

In that case, alright.

My family also has a collection of these books.

Once we get to the capital,

I'll show them to you.

Then I'll thank you, Captain Mu, in advance.

Let's go.

Since it's still early,

we can go a little further.

Sure.

You can already see Lishan Mountain in the distance.

Beyond it lies Qinan Province, Licheng.

Let's take a break here first.

I'll fetch some water.

Alright,

I'll search for food nearby.

Let's leave it for now.

I'll set another trap elsewhere

and return later to check if we've caught anything.

Our luck isn't bad,

we've already caught something so quickly.

Shen Wen!

Miss Luo!

Release me!

Why is Miss Luo here?

It's all thanks to you.

I might have laid too many traps.

Go away,

I didn't expect to get trapped by you again.

It's just a coincidence.

If it wasn't you, I...

It seems Wenxiang Sect has sent many people here.

We should find a place to hide first.

What happened to you?

It's none of your business.

It's okay,

let me help take a look.

It's done.

You're a troublemaker!

It's a coincidence,

and I have never thought about harming you.

You saved me twice,

I saved you once,

so I still owe you one.

Two times?

When you activated the formation,

you placed me at the open door.

It's just a courtesy,

don't worry about it.

What is Miss Luo planning next?

Go back to receive my punishment.

What else can I do?

Go back to where?

You seem interested in the people who backs me.

To be honest,

I'm looking for a person

related to the Beast Talisman.

I can't tell you anything

other than this one thing.

Shun Tian Fu

is not someone you should mess with.

I'm only looking for a person.

I really envied you.

You can do your own things.

It seems Miss Luo lives an unhappy life.

Miss Luo.

Miss Luo?

Why hasn't Shen Wen come back after leaving for so long?

Bloodstains.

Did Shen Wen encounter some danger?
