=Broken the Heart=

=Episode 8= (Split Memory)

If you wanna avenge yourself,

come at me.

Don't get Cangwu involved.

It's been quite a while but you didn't show up.

I was wondering

what is so beautiful here

that made you stay for so long?

Your Highness,

Ruoyao hardly went out,

so we stayed here for a little longer.

Now we're going back.

Let's go.

Sorry.

If it hadn't been for me,

you could have left.

Don't say that.

It was my hasty decision

without a careful plan.

What's more,

if I left this way,

Yuwen Sheng wouldn't give it up.

Then it might get you into trouble,

and even your family.

Now His Highness has even more doubts.

I'm afraid he will stay here for a while.

If it's inevitable,

I'll be just in time to let him know

I'm not Yin Ruoshui that he knew before.

By the way,

today,

Shunqin

called me Leng Qiu.

Why?

Leng Qiu?

(Cangwu.)

(Cangwu.)

General.

(Cangwu.)

General.

General.

(Cangwu.)

(Cangwu.)

(Here is your tea.)

General.

Are you okay?

You got poisoned?

Did he use the sword

on purpose?

I'll get you the antidote.

Don't!

No matter he did this on purpose

or for malicious entertainment,

it's obviously a trap.

If I really got poisoned,

I'll have my men to find the antidote.

But only he

has the antidote,

because I gave it to him.

That is the only antidote for the poison.

I have only one bottle left.

You must keep it well.

I don't have your name, though.

Are you a native?

Or are you here to avoid being killed?

I...

Somebody's coming.

Sir,

what's up?

Have you seen an injured man?

A head taller than you.

No.

There is only me.

You live here alone?

What do you mean?

Living here alone,

aren't you scared?

I heard a noise over there!

Let's go and have a check.

Let's go!

(State Border)

The flute must be important to you.

You even picked it up back.

Have you ever been there?

Do the people over there

hate us?

Maybe.

If they come at us,

will they kill the Emperor?

I gotta go.

Where are you going next?

Probably go home.

Is it far away?

What about you?

Where is your home?

I don't have a home,

but a cage that I can never escape from.

This flute is from my mother.

This half is for you.

One day,

I will take other half

back to repay you.

Let's take it as a token.

But next time when we meet,

it'll be probably different.

Why?

What if my father the Emp...

What if my father makes me marry a man

I don't love and probably hates me?

Then I'll kill him.

Who are you?

Was it because

the moment you saw the cut on General Lin,

you recognized

it was the insect poison peculiar to the Yin State

that you came here for the antidote?

(Oh God! It was a trap.)

It's quite hard to detoxify the Yin's insect poison.

General

sent me here to ask for the antidote.

But I didn't find Your Highness,

so I entered this room out of sheer desperation.

I'm to blame.

A general's wife in Liao City

recognized Yin's insect poison?

Who are you?

My fiance

has been fighting against Yin for years,

so it's no surprise that I recognized it.

But you, Your Highness,

have tested us so many times.

Is it directed to me

or the General's family?

If I have ever offended Your Highness,

I'm ready to accept any punishment.

But Lin's family has been loyal for generations,

so they couldn't stand being wronged like this.

What are you gonna do

no matter it's directed against you or the Lin's family?

A woman who has the same voice

with the one I'm looking for

appeared in this mansion,

but I didn't arrest and torture them.

I've already had mercy on them.

The one you're looking for?

Is it the Crown Princess

married from the Yin State?

Now you came to the General's Mansion for her.

If the message that the Crown Princess is missing

spreads to the Yin State,

what would happen?

She's just a humble princess least favored

in the Yin State.

Do you really think

they would attack in force for her?

They just lack an excuse

to attack in force.

Now is there any excuse

better than a missing princess?

What?

Your Highness,

everything's ready as ordered.

You can leave now.

Tomorrow I'll hold a banquet in the mansion

to entertain General Lin

and Mrs. Lin.

By the way,

it's paint rather than poison on the sword.

You tell General Lin to have a good rest,

so he could attend the banquet tomorrow.
