You have been doing so good. I'm so proud of you
honey. And today I have a very special client and
I will have you observe for a little while but at
one point I'll probably ask you to leave the room.
Why? Well he has a lot of stress and I use this
particular technique to help him relieve that
stress so I'm not quite sure you're ready for
that yet. Well he's gonna be here any minute so
why don't you straighten up the pillows for
me and I will get the table ready. All right.
Oh, hey, Gettys.
Hey, Will.
Good to see you again.
Good to see you right on time.
That's how I like to try to be.
So how are you feeling from our last treatment?
Doing a lot better, but I just thought I'd come in again.
I just want to go at this real aggressively.
No problem.
And that release, that release.
Did the trick, right?
Who, uh, who's that?
Oh, that's my stepdaughter.
I'm sorry.
I forgot to mention that she'd be observing today.
Observing?
If that's okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, she's training under me right now.
She, the whole...
Yeah, she's training to become a massage therapist.
I have no problem.
Family business.
Will she be working on me today, too?
Well, she'll be in the room observing, and I might have her try a few strokes today.
Awesome.
If that's okay with you.
That's not a problem.
I really appreciate it.
I'm so sorry.
I forgot to mention that when you booked your appointment.
I am not complaining.
All right.
Well, how about we have you get ready.
You know where to go.
Absolutely.
All right.
We'll see you in a few minutes.
I'll get working on you.
Honey.
Hey.
Ho.
We need to try and keep it professional when the clients come in.
Sorry.
I meant not there.
Okay.
Just try to remember when we've got clients here.
Keep it professional.
I'm here.
And remember when he comes in, we'll have to make sure he is covered with the towel.
Okay.
And keep him professional as well.
All right.
There we go.
Thank you.
When he comes in, we'll have him lie face down into the face cradle,
and we'll adjust.
And we'll adjust the towel so that everything is proper and covered.
Statham.
Yeah.
Right.
I'm going to go get the oil over here.
So you always want to make sure you've got your lotion belt on,
because this helps keep you from, you know, reaching around the table.
It's always right there with you.
All right.
Okay.
All right.
Will, this is my stepdaughter Dakota.
Hi, Dakota.
She'll be observing today.
You ready?
Are you ready for this?
Yeah.
She's a fast learner.
I'm very proud of her work.
I believe you.
I'm looking forward to it.
All right.
Why don't you hop up here into the face cradle for me.
Yeah.
Here.
Go ahead and release that towel right there.
And remember how to straighten it out here.
Bring it up a little bit this way.
And then fold it back so that it covers down here.
All the way right down to here.
Yeah.
You'll actually be right to the base of the table.
Okay.
All right.
And nice long strokes up and kind of go around the shoulder.
Try that for me.
Like that?
Very good.
Try and go glide up, one hand following the other.
Press in a little bit there.
Give a little tug coming back.
There you go.
Atta girl.
Get that nice long stroke in.
That's it.
And then you can kind of glide up
and work that other shoulder as well.
The oil just smoothed up with you.
There you go.
And tuck down?
Pull down like that, perfect.
All right, I'm gonna have her continue to work on your back
while I work your legs.
Sure.
Koda, you're lucky to have a good teacher.
I know.
Told you.
You're a fast learner.
Feel good? Yeah. It'll help release all that tension. Oh boy.
I can really tell a difference from our last session. Yeah, right?
You're working on these legs.
Take a deep breath in for me, Will.
And exhale.
Another deep breath in very good
I like seeing you use your intuitive skills there.
You see that where it's tense, you just give
a little extra special attention to that spot.
Thank you.
And to finish off the back, one big long stroke up the back.
Like that?
Yup.
And around and all the way down and off.
Perfect.
Will?
Yeah?
We're going to have you roll over onto your back now.
Sure, sure.
Alright?
And I will hold the towel.
Alright.
Professionalism.
Why don't you grab the neck pillow?
Sure.
And just bend down and look to the table so that you can support your neck.
There you go.
There we go.
And we'll get you all adjusted here.
Oh man, this is great.
Perfect.
There we go.
Now I'm going to have you work on his chest and shoulders from up here.
You'll kind of glide right under the clavicle and up around his shoulder.
And then just on menu.
And then you can massage the pectoral vessel with no problem.
So, with women we have to be a little more gentle.
Yeah.
But, yeah.
So here, can I take a little oil there?
There we go.
So she's been working on this technique so I'm going to roll over.
Alright, sure Jen.
Yeah.
And we'll see how she does.
We'll work on your legs again.
I'm all yours.
Right on.
How's this knee been doing for you?
Well, with the cold weather, it's been acting up a little bit.
But for the most part, it's pretty good.
Right on.
Yeah.
Making progress every time.
Yeah.
It's important to be consistent when you're treating.
Yeah, it sure is.
Yeah, that month I took off.
Yeah, Janet, that month I took off, I really paid the price with my knee.
What happened?
Oh, I wasn't following up on treatment with your mom.
That's why he's learned that consistency is the key.
Absolutely.
Preventative medicine.
Absolutely.
Right.
Work on these quads here.
Tension building up again.
Honey, this might be the time when I need you to step out and I'm
gonna work on that special release technique I was talking about.
I wanna learn how though.
This is just a little more delicate than I think you're ready for.
I think I'm ready.
I did a good job, didn't I?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
See?
It's your call, it's your call, Janet. I'm just patient. I won't say...
But I don't know anything.
Alright, well, with preferred clients, I use a
special technique to help them release their tension.
So, normally, you know, we don't let our hands
past the boundary of the drape, the covering.
However, in some instances, therapy calls for a little extra special attention.
So...
It really helps well.
And I like to have my clients feel very, very good when they get off the table.
Okay.
So...
Um...
You okay?
Yeah.
Okay.
So, first, I start massaging here.
You can see how he's really...
He's really pent up.
Yeah.
Deep breath for me, buddy.
Oh, yeah.
I'm sorry.
Don't forget to breathe.
Okay.
Do you want to try that?
How's she doing?
Good.
I thought that was you.
Nice.
Very good, honey.
Excellent job.
Here, sometimes I like to use one hand down
around the base like that and then bring this
hand up here.
Usually right there is a really good release spot.
If that doesn't quite do the trick, you can use an oil.
Sometimes.
I'm going to just draw right here while you're working up.
Come here, here.
Good.
There we go.
Good.
Stroke it while you're sucking.
There we go.
Ah, god, yeah.
All these reactions he's having are totally normal.
It's part of the release.
It's a girl.
That's very good.
Oh my gosh.
Yes.
Oh, there we go.
Here, I'll get you a little more comfortable.
Oh my gosh.
Wow.
Is she doing good?
Yeah, yeah.
She's a great student.
Here we go.
Let's get you out of here.
Get your oil on your clothes.
Another angle is, usually we don't get up on the table with clients,
but if you straddle that way and work from this angle, it really helps.
Works better?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, here's Melinda. You should be able to get gently over there. There you go.
Older shoes are fast learner.
Oh, he's responding really well.
No.
Come on.
That's good girl.
Oh, God.
Oh, that you're doing such a good job.
Okay, I think it's time for you to come down here on this side with me, honey.
Wow.
Almost done.
Oh, no, I'm in no rush.
So, like I was working, sometimes you have to get down in here and just work from the
top.
Okay.
Oh, it's so good.
Oh my God.
Oh wow!
Oh these girls, wow!
Oh my gosh.
Mmm, there we go.
I like this technique now
This is kind of a milking technique
I'm going to take some deep breaths for me
Yeah, that's it. Suck on it
Let's go
Deep breaths
There we go
Let it all in
There we go
I got more
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Right there
Not this spot
Not this spot
Let it go, Will
Let it go
Yeah, it's okay
It's okay
And release
Almost there
That's it
Let it go
Yeah
There we go
Yes
There we go
Yeah
There we go
Let it out
Here it comes
Let it out
Here it comes
Let it out
Here it comes
Let it out for us
That's it
That's a good one
Let it all in
Let everything go
Oh my God
I can't take it anymore
Oh my God
Oh my gosh
Wow
Good job, baby.
Thank you.
That's how I keep my clients coming back.
