Then, can I ask you something?

By any chance, do you know Doctor's Son?

I don't know him.

I heard he's a very famous boss in your world.

I guess you aren't that high up, yet.

I really need to find him.

Why are you looking for him?

I really want to meet him.

Because I have something I want to ask him.

Ask him about what?

I'm going to ask him directly when I meet him.

Episode 12

Why aren't you saying anything?

Well, would you like to have a drink with me?

Do you want me to go?

Do you want me to get out of the car?

I'm really going to go.

What was that money for?

I was going to ask you after we had some drinks, but that won't do.

I need to know.

That money. What did that money mean?

The money you left that day!

The only thing I can do...

The only thing I ever learned is that.

I'm sorry.

I know you like me.

Isn't that why you rescued me?

I don't have time to like anyone.

If you are going to be like this, why did you tell me your name? Why?

The reason why I told you my name was...

It means I'm not going to see you again.

To me... To me, it was the beginning.

Don't ever see me again.

By any chance, do you know Doctor's Son?

Because I have something I want to ask him.

I'm going to ask him directly when I meet him.

Yes, Doc.

You need to look into someone.

Yes, Doc. Go ahead and tell me.

Doc?

Who do I need to look into?

No, never mind. I'll do it myself.

Safari is finished.

What is going to happen once Pusan finds out Safari is a police officer?

Auntie, please don't get tangled up with Safari anymore.

Something bad could happen to you.

It's me.

What's going on? You called me first.

I didn't call you because I wanted to see you.

And don't even think about bullshitting me.

Because I can tell by just looking at your expression.

Uncle Safari was a police officer?

Is that right?

Yes.

What the hell have you been doing?

Have you been playing me all along?

Even though you were both police

you told me to get information out of Safari and spy on him.

What the hell did you make me do?

Safari is no longer police. He betrayed the police.

So that's why I asked you to do those things.

You should have told me.

You could have at least told me.

You should have told me!

So you intentionally approached me to get Safari.

You used me to get the one who betrayed you.

Isn't that right?

You are a real bastard.

That's right. It was all planned and intentional.

But...

The part where I'm seeing you now was not part of the plan.

I still...

Shut up.

Don't say one more word.

Lee Jin Sook was attacked?

Yes.

You haven't figured out who's responsible for it?

Not yet.

The fact that they returned without harming Lee Jin Sook suggests

that they might have gotten what they wanted.

Doctor's Son is behind Lee Jin Sook.

Doctor's Son has the distribution network.

If Pusan is behind Scale...

If the ones who attacked Lee Jin Sook came up from Pusan...

Then there will be a new relationship with

Doctor's Son being in charge of the distribution and Pusan in charge of the production.

Pusan is going to put Doctor's Son back in charge of the distribution?

Either that or there will be a war.

This information. Did your undercover agent get this information?

Why didn't you report to me about Pusan?

- You knew this would happen. - You still should have reported it to me!

What are you going to do?

I have to do a deal with them.

Jin Sook could have been hurt. I have to do a deal with them.

Are you saying you want to go back to square one?

At this rate, when would you be able to infiltrate Pusan's organization?

Mister, what is it that you want?

- You know that already. - No. I don't think I know.

I'll help you get your revenge and you'll help me get Pusan.

Did you forget that this was our promise and your mission?

Get into Pusan's organization.

Discover their true nature and find their weakness.

Get into Pusan's organization.

Discover their true nature and find their weakness.

The conditions of their deal really suck. But there is no other way.

Doc!

Did you really decide to do that?

Sit down, Soo. Let's sit down and talk about it.

Now you don't even say hello to the big sister?

Ah, so it was you, Auntie. How come you have so many wrinkles now?

I didn't even recognize you.

You are just the same. You haven't changed at all.

Just like when you were a stupid gangster.

Stop it.

We have to do a deal with Pusan.

So are you going to do it with those conditions?

If we give them everything, then what are we going to do?

Then, do you want to have a war with Pusan or something?

- Why not? - Do you really want to die?

Giving them everything is no different than being dead.

I'm going to give them the distribution.

And I'm going to go into Pusan's organization.

Soo.

You'll be in charge of the distribution.

Listen to me now.

What?

As promised, I brought you the one who'll be in charge of the distribution.

Are you the new one in charge of the distribution?

Hi, how are you?

Wait a minute. Then we don't need this bastard anymore.

Hey, distribution.

Kill this bastard.

Kill him.

You're getting nervous. Bastards. I was just kidding.

Doctor's Son.

You need to listen to me from now on.

If you make me come up one more time, you are dead, huh?

Yes.

You are so cute.

- Can I ask for one thing? - What?

Can I work with you?

Well, we'll talk about that after seeing how you do.

Come in, Mister.

Is it true that Scale has been released?

Sit down.

Sit down first.

The real leader of the Scale organization turned himself in.

He's one of the major shareholders of the Donghae Construction.

Also we uncovered the paper trail proving that

a considerable sum of Scale's money went to him.

And he confessed to distributing the drugs, so how could I be holding Scale?

As you know, the confession alone can't prove guilt.

There has to be enough evidence to support the confession.

We have the evidence!

We found the drug production plant along with methamphetamine.

Is that enough?

It's been a while, Doctor's Son.

So that bastard is the one in charge of the distribution?

You've been hiding somewhere.

I'm Scale.

If I do that, what can you do for me?

Safety.

I've already sent your son abroad just as you requested.

Now, no one knows where your son is except me.

What would you like to do?

When did you work on Scale?

It's really getting interesting.

Do you know why I stay with you?

Why?

Because you make things really interesting.

Is there something wrong?

Yoon Soo Min.

Yoon Soo Min!

Yeah.

- What's the matter? - What?

What's this?

Are you giving this to me?

If you turn it, the recording device will be activated.

Hide it somewhere in Lee Jin Sook's office.

Put it under the sofa or a desk, so that it won't look suspicious.

I couldn't exchange the bags. The money is all in there.

That's okay.

I'm just glad that you came back safely.

I'm so relieved.

- Oh, you came. - Yes.

Are you returning from somewhere?

Yeah, there's some complications.

What is it about?

You listen to me now.

I made you run that errand is because I trust you.

That's why I don't tell you everything.

I don't want to put someone I trust in danger.

If something goes wrong, you'd need to remain as someone who just runs errands.

As you get in deeper and know more, it'll be that much more dangerous for you.

Do you understand what I mean?

But I still want to do what you do.

Remember this one thing.

If something happens to me, you're the only one who could take my place.

You understand?

Yes.

- President. - What is it?

Wow, it's nice. It's luxurious.

I guess it's decorated in the Renaissance style.

I told you to stop by.

How could you make me come all the way here?

The rumors are right. You look good.

You are Director Jo?

Director Jo?

Oh, I guess I haven't formerly introduced myself.

Jo Ha Neul?

Jo Ha Neul?

Isn't my name awesome?

You can just call me Mr. Sky.

Shouldn't you bring out some drinks for your valuable guest?

Let's have a drink together. And bring a girl who can entertain me.

If you could do it, that'd be even better.

You already have one here. You are so sensible.

You pretty doll, come here and sit on my lab.

No, she's off-limits. I'll call in another.

Off-limits?

Hey, Lee Jin Sook. You can't pick up the cues here? Huh?

I'm going to ask you again. Is it possible or not?

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Areum.

Areum? Not only are you good looking, but you also have good taste.

You liked me that much?

Please don't be angry. Why don't you have a drink with me?

Sure, I should have a drink. We'll go all the way today.

Hey, there. Hurry up and bring us some drinks.

Hey, President Lee. Why don't you sing a song?

Try it.

Hey, try it.

Man, this woman is being stubborn.

Hello, is anyone home?

Oh, Areum. Oh, yes. Areum.

Because I drank too much today, I think I need to take a nap.

Let go of me!

President Lee. You know her, Areum.

Send her to my place tomorrow. Okay?

Jin Sook. Do you understand or not?

Yes.

Hey, you pretty doll. Bye!

Don't you think she's pretty?

Jin Sook.

- Would you mind leaving me alone? - Yes.

It's me.

- Soo Min. - Yes.

I'm going to step out for a while.

Yeah.

- Yeah. - Lee Jin Sook went out, didn't she?

- Yeah. - Follow her.

She went to go meet someone called Safari. Go and find out who that is.

Wait a minute, mister. Stop. Stop.

Long time no see, President Lee.

Where is he?

You are here.

Answer me. Are you police or Safari?

You believe whatever you want to believe.

I missed her.

I know this is challenging for you since you have never received any formal training.

But if this type of thing continues, it beats the purpose of sending you there.

You should try to focus. Please.

Fine. You and Min Hong Gi should work out things on your own.

Don't drag me into it.

The most important thing to me is whether you are still Safari.

This message is for Uncle Safari, so listen carefully.

I'd like that bastard Director Jo to disappear forever.

This message is for Uncle Safari so listen carefully.

I'd like that bastard Director Jo to disappear forever.

Isn't that what you planned on doing anyway?

If you planned on doing that, I can help you.

Together.

I wonder what made you change your mind?

Did Director Jo refuse to do a deal with you?

Do you have such a plan or not?

Taxi!

- Soo Min? - Jin Sook.

What are you doing here?

Ah, a friend of mine wanted to see me right away so

I came out to see her and I'm on my way back.

- Is that right? - Yes.

Good. Get in.

I guess we are destined to be together. Our path crossed again at a place like this.

Isn't it kind of a hassle to take taxis everywhere?

Excuse me? Well, no.

Should I get you a car?

Please. Spare me.

Gyung Mi died on the spot where you are standing now.

If we had her cellphone location...

If I had come a little earlier, Gyung Mi wouldn't have died.

It's no different than you killing Gyung Mi.

I'm sorry.

No, I should be the one who's sorry.

You've worked hard. Good job.

From now on, do not act independently without my direction.

What are you saying?

Luckily, there was no bone damage and

your physical therapy is showing good results.

I'd like you to return to the force soon.

As you know, it was decided that there was no shooting incident.

Why?

I don't think I can go back.

Whatever the reason, Gyung Mi was killed because of me.

It was my fault.

I was the one who sent you to Deputy Commissioner Kang.

I was the one who told you to follow his orders.

So put the responsibility on me and blame and curse me.

Stop feeling guilty.

Return to the special unit and help Team Leader Ji.

What is this?

This is Moon Duk Bae's file during the time he was

working in the narcotics division at headquarters.

Amongst the people Moon Duk Bae has worked with...

Go and talk to the ones who are still on the force.

Find out who made him an undercover and what he was supposed to investigate.

What's this?

- It's Meth Kim's file. - Meth Kim?

What about Meth Kim?

We need to search and find him. We need to find out where he's hiding.

I'll be back.

As of today, Detective Suh Yoon Gyung will

return as the team leader of the information unit.

Please reassign her to a different unit.

When detective Suh was in the police academy

she ranked second place in the world hacking competition.

It's rare to find someone that capable.

We don't need that kind of fancy credentials.

Have you ever thought about things from her perspective?

She was only following orders from Deputy Commissioner Kang.

And she had no idea what kind of result her actions would bring.

And in the police force, the only one who could go against

Deputy Commissioner's order would be the Commissioner himself.

Yes, Jung Yeon.

Hyo Joo is like a zombie now.

Hyo Joo's mom passed away in an auto accident.

And she witnessed the whole thing.

And something like this happened to her again.

Are you hurting?

It'll continue to hurt.

It'll still hurt, but you'll have to make up your mind.

Whether you are going to hurt alone and go on

or you are going to burden others and hurt them like you are doing now.

I hope you'll decide soon and, hopefully, you won't burden others anymore.

What the hell do you know?

What the hell do you know?

An arrogant person like you wouldn't understand anything.

Do you have the money?

Of course. When do we get the goods?

Okay, I'll see you later.

The location for our deal has been decided.

It an hour from now.

What should I do?

Just do the deal nice and clean.

Really?

Really.

- Doc! - Yes.

You come here, right now.

- Who was that? - Director Jo.

- What did he want? - He wants me to come to him right now.

Now, what does that supposed to mean?

Until the deal is over, he wants to make sure we don't try anything.

Bastard, he knows how to use his head.

Why did you call the Doctor in?

I don't want them to try something funny.

If Doc doesn't show up, that means they're thinking about doing something funny.

If he shows up, then I can hold him here as a hostage while we do the deal.

Ah, yes.

You couldn't to control your guys, because you weren't using your head.

Jin Sook.

Do I need to go?

Yes.

Hurry up and send Areum over here. What's taking so long?

Okay. I'll send her now.

Hurry up, okay? The night is short.

I said okay. I'll send her right now.

I'm sorry, Soo Min.

Okay. I'll send her now.

I said okay. I'll send her right now.

I'm sorry, Soo Min.

Do you like it?

Thank you, Jin Sook.

Be careful.

Okay.

If it doesn't go as planned, use this.

- What is this? - You'll see.

- Go and help Soo. - Yes.

- What's going on? - What?

- Why are you here? - Why do I need to tell you that?

Let me go.

And don't act like you know me.

Why? Do you have time to act like you know me?

Now, I don't have time for it either. So let's pretend that we never met.

Yeah, Doc.

The woman who saved your life is here.

Did you send her to Director Jo?

How did you know that?

What's the meaning of this?

I just sent a present to Director Jo, so you don't need to worry about it.

- Doctor isn't here, yet. Is he? - No.

Call Wooden Stick and tell him to kill them all.

Excuse me?

No, no. Just before they are about to die tell him to bring them over to me.

So I can wrap things up.

Yes.

Who's the Doctor?

My baby doesn't need to know that.

But it's kind of bright in here.

Should we go upstairs? There is a really nice room up there.

He issued an 'all kill' order. What are you going to do?

I put everything into you now.

You need to take the responsibility.

Do you want to go in now and hit him?

You and I... it should be enough.

Do you know Doctor's Son by any chance?

- This isn't the time. - Why not?

What is it now, really?

I'm waiting here with a money bag and you're talking about a war.

You still have time. Hide somewhere for now.

Soo, come to my office. Let's talk about it there.

Don't worry. I'll see you at the office.

I'll hang up now.

Let's go back.

Hit him.

A few drops will be enough to make him pass out.

You can put it in his drink at an appropriate time.

You were waiting long. Weren't you?

I think I'm a bit drunk.

Since we need to get to the business, no more drinking.

Let's get to business now.

- Wait a minute. - What now?

Let me take off my jewelry first.

Okay, go ahead.

Oh, my head. My head.

My Areum, were you going to zap me to make me pass out?

Come here.

I'm not going to kill Areum now.

I should have my fun with you before I kill you.

I guess my Areum likes action.

Action.

Like this.

Come here.

You just open the door for them and get out of there. Okay?

Here is that dead female detective's cellphone.

The one who killed Director Jo is Doctor's Son now. You understand?

Okay.

Let's go.

[Suh Yoon Gyung]

What's up?

Team Leader.

Go ahead.

Detective Lee Gyung Mi's cellphone has been turned on.

I mean Gyung Mi's cellphone that went missing at the scene is now turned on.

What happened?

Hurry up and get out of here. Ji Hyung Min will get here soon.

I called the special unit. Go!

What's this? What's going on? Who is he?

Hurry up and get out of here. Ji Hyung Min will get here soon.

I called the special unit.

The reason why Safari left you here is because I killed Director Jo?

Yeah, that's right.

You listen to me now.

If you want to see your son again, you need to do what I tell you to do.

- That's Doctor's Son. - What?

I'm saying that the one that's dead on the bed is Doctor's Son.

Tell me the truth. Who's that bastard?

Doctor's Son.

I know that's not him.

This bastard is doing it again. Get him!

Did you help Safari? Is that right?

- Yes. - Why?

Why?

Because he deserved to die.

The war with Pusan you were so against.

Now we've started it.

This is our opportunity.

What do you think Pusan will do once he finds out Safari killed Director Jo?

We can take over Safari's position.

Safari set things up so that I would kill Director Jo.

What?

Who do you think Chairman Jo will believe? You or Safari?

It's me, Hyung Min. What is it?

Over here.

Why didn't you report to me?

You could have report to me before you left. Why didn't you?

Tell me.

I didn't because I was embarrassed.

I didn't want you to know that I was going there to do such thing.
