So my guess is is that, I don't know,

that Sweeney told Roma, you start helping me again,

or I'm going to tellyour department

what you've been doing.

Blackmail.

But Roma has a differentsolution.

Kill Ray Sweeney

[gunfire]

Stage it as a robbery.

Steal all the evidencethat tied him to Sweeney.

But here's what he couldn'thave known.

Mitchell McHale showed upto sign his divorce papers

And so when Roma was loadingup his car and driving off,

Mitchell McHale was watchingfrom the dark.

And our witness saw McHaleenter the house after that,

so he knew that the cop thatjust left killed his lawyer.

Roma must've arranged for themto meet on the rooftop.

Where there are no cameras.

So the cop commits a secondmurder to cover up the first.

Um... I'm... I'm just... I'm stunned.

I... I need to talk to Roma.

It needs to be methat brings him in.

Yeah.

with a loan from the mob, and as the years went by,

that debt, it got bigger,

and Rachel I know how muchyou loved your father.

But what I didn't know wasthat you would be willing

to do anythingto help him out,

including selling yourself outto a crooked lawyer for money.

But that wasn't enough, was it?

So your dad did what he did,

and then there was no needfor you to resign anymore.

You know, it was all over, it was all behind you.

But then Sweeney came and... andthreatened to blackmail you,

but you solved enough crimesto know how to commit one.

[gunshots]

Robbery gone wrong, victim nobody cared about.

The case would soon grow cold, it was perfect.

I mean, McHale threw a littlewrench in there,

but you handled that.

And then I handed Billy Pooleto you on a silver platter.

But when we startedto connect the murders,

you knew that you had to shiftfrom the framing Billy angle,

and you waited to seehow far we got,

and then you had to make Romayour fall guy.

You were meeting with Romatonight to close the loop.

And what was your storygoing to be, Rachel?

That you went there and triedto convince Roma

to turn himself in, but insteadhe tried to kill you,

so you did whatyou had to do?

He's a cop.

I mean, of course you wouldn'tcall in the shooting

until after you loadedeverything that you stole

from Sweeney's house

and Mitchell's cell phoneinto the trunk of Roma's car.

It's all in the trunk of yourcar ready to go, isn't it?
