Well, here it is, race fans,
a very unusual challenge match,

not on any schedule but with
more interest than many of the

cup finals.

It's Shines versus Shines versus
Walker, battling it out for a

place at the big show.

Winner gets to ride in the Robin
Cates racing team, losers go

home and try again next
preseason.

And Shines junior has had
a few chances to beat

Kid Walker but so far her cup
has come up empty.

Now Kid will most likely have
an advantage over Shines and

Shines in this portion
of the race track.

Well, at Shines age, my three
legged golden retriever has an

advantage over him on foot.

Shines and Shines, but Kylie
Shines is not gonna give up the

real estate that easily.

She looks to the outside,
tryin' to move to the front but

Walker has got the preferred
line, they're door to door as

they move into turn three.

What I hear, there must
be a lot of animosity between

the Kid and Kylie.

I heard that, and they both
want that Cates ride really bad.

I don't think so, Kylie.

Kylie is focused and on her
game but she can't seem to get

around Kid.

All this is happening at
speeds faster than we ever see

out here.

Three racers with the track
all to themselves.

Al's got the best seat
in the house.

It looks like he's just sittin'
back to watch Kylie and Kid

run each other over the track.

Al's not gonna make
a move on us.

No, Al's always comfortable
in third, for a while.

Smooth and patient, right Crash?

Al's wanting you to go after
Kid so you two wear

yourselves out.

And comin' round the fourth
turn we have Walker, Shines

and Shines again.

We're now at lap 50 and
Walker is still in the lead,

followed by Kylie Shines
with Al Shines in third.

Protect the bottom there,
he wants you on the inside.

Kid keeps tryin' to pull out
in front but no matter where

he goes, she's right there.

Nope.

She's in there.

She's in there.

And man, almighty she's a
good little driver.

She's takin' everything he's
throwin' her way, she's still

right on his tail.

Let's see how Kid likes
this bumper to bumper play.

Steady Andy,

Kylie seems to have found
a new style of drivin'

all of a sudden.

She's a quick learner
all right, patient,

more focused.

What will Walker do with this?

He can't seem to shake her.

I'm gonna show her how the

She wants to ride on your tail
like that, then you brake check

her and pull away fast.

They're coming into the
straightaway and Shines is

drafting while pressing Walker
and it looks like she's gonna

try and pass and take the lead.

Brake check.

Ooh, Walker's brake checking,
trying to keep Kylie.

(tires squealing)
Walker's car is all outta steam.

(metal crunching)
Whoo, look out,

the car is into the wall.

(crowd moans)
Whoa.

Is he okay?

Walker still has not dropped
his window net.

Oh, man.

Is Kid out?

(siren sounding)
Ladies and gentlemen,

number 41, Kid Walker has gone
into the wall.

Please remain patient while the
emergency crews do their work.

I can't see 'em.

They, they still haven't gotten
to him yet.

Yeah, he's walkin' away.

He's okay.

Kylie Shines and Al Shines
have cleared Walker but he

is definitely out of this race.

We've got a yellow flag.

And here comes the pace car for
Shines and Shines, as Walker

walks away from his car,
good news.

The crowd gives the Kid
a big hand.

I'm not worried about the Kid,
there's gonna be a sequel

in that good ol' boys future.

They're pushin' Walker's car off
the track and now it truly is

a race of the generations.

Well, it's the youth over
experience, we've seen so little

of Al Shines this season but
I think everybody at this track

knows what he's capable of.

That's right, he certainly
has more wins under his belt

than Walker and Shines and the
rest of the Cates team combined.

But we've seen enough of
Kylie Shines to know,

she isn't afraid of a fight.

It's just you and Al now.

And Al Shines has pulled up
next to Kylie.
