I'm never letting go of this hand again.

So don't let go of my hand either.

Don't ever let me go.

(Episode 12)

To President Cha Song Ju of Global Corporation?

Why are you so surprised?

It's practically already been announced...

at the last foundation day event.

How long have they been together?

They were good friends growing up...

and got into a relationship in the end.

It's not a marriage of convenience.

Can we cover the full story of the relationship...

starting from when they first met?

No, please don't do that.

I'm just telling you because we have a personal relationship.

If you make a big deal out of it, you'll put me in quite a position.

Reporter Yang!

Thank you.

You're working hard trying to earn a few bucks!

- What are you doing here? - Come on.

How long are you going to do this when it barely brings in any money?

You don't have to worry about the debt anymore.

You can come home now!

Can you get out of the way?

Hey, have you read this news article?

I knew my daughter would make it.

Doesn't she look pretty?

Hey!

You didn't have to prepare a feast.

Now that Jeong Seo is back with us,

I should've invited you over for dinner sooner.

It's been just so crazy lately.

Consider it a celebratory dinner before the engagement tomorrow,

and please enjoy it.

Shall we make a toast?

- Congratulations. - Thank you.

- Thank you. - Congratulations.

Here, honey.

Goodness. Please excuse me.

Hello?

Mom.

- Jeong Seo. - Yes.

- Enjoy your meal. - Yu Ri.

- Your father... - Congratulations.

All right.

I warned you...

to give back to Jeong Seo everything you took from her.

Don't be ridiculous. Why should I do that?

Give me that.

I'll see you at the engagement tomorrow.

I'll be there as your brother.

Yes, you must come.

Of course, you should be there at your sister's engagement.

I tried to talk to you to invite you...

but couldn't reach you.

We'll see you there.

Don't you understand what that means?

It means that the game will all be over tomorrow.

That's fine.

It's giving me a headache too.

So let's put an end to it. You'd better come.

Do you think it'll be okay?

Don't worry.

Stress isn't good for your complexion.

You have to come tomorrow.

You have to.

You must.

Thank you for the lovely meal.

You're welcome.

It's cold. You should go on in.

I'm looking forward to seeing your best look tomorrow.

Me too.

But we're not the stars of the show.

- Let's head home, Song Ju. - All right.

I'll see you tomorrow.

Yes, Jeong Seo. We'll see you tomorrow.

Hey, aren't you ready to go yet?

Hurry up! Or we'll be late.

What do you need a dress for when you're just a guest?

You'd better hurry up!

You're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen.

Please have a seat.

Can you do her hair first?

I don't need my hair done.

Take care of her first.

Yes, you should go first, Jeong Seo.

Please help her look prettier than me.

Song Ju.

My goodness! How gorgeous you look!

You look beautiful, sweetie.

Please have some tea.

- Congratulations, Ms. Tae. - Thank you.

Is this the police?

I'm calling to report the person...

who distributed imitation paintings to Sunyeon Gallery.

The man's name is Han Cheol Su.

Jeong Seo, hold on.

I'll make sure that this is the happiest day of your life.

(Cha Song Ju and Han Yu Ri's engagement)

Don't run away.

Mr. Han Cheol Su.

You're under arrest for the distribution of imitation paintings.

Get him!

Let me go!

- Let go! - Jeong Seo!

- Jeong Seo! - Cuff him!

Jeong Seo!

- No! - Stay still!

Wait!

- Please give me some time... - Get up!

- Give me some more time! - Get up!

- Now! - Please I need time...

I'm going to put this ring on the woman I love.

Jeong Seo!

Jeong Seo...

Jeong Seo!

Jeong Seo! Jeong Seo!

What's going on?

Jeong Seo.

Tae Hwa!

Tae Hwa!

Jeong Seo.

Jeong Seo...

Tae Hwa!

Tae Hwa!

Tae Hwa!

Wait!

Smile for the camera!

Please put a smile on your face.

Tae Hwa, what's going on?

- Tae Hwa... - I don't know this woman.

- Tae Hwa! - Miss, who are you?

I'm his sister. What's going on?

- I said I don't know this woman! - Why are you doing this?

I don't know you. You're a stranger to me now.

We have nothing to do with each other. Understand?

Now go and leave me alone.

- Tae Hwa! - What are you doing here?

Why are you here? It's your engagement!

What are you doing here?

Do you want to see me go insane?

- What are you doing? - Stop it...

- Just stop it! - Tae Hwa!

Wait a minute!

Please tell me what's going on! Wait, Tae Hwa!

Look at me!

- Where are you taking him? - He's under arrest.

- Why? For what? - Stop it!

Tae Hwa!

- You're not allowed inside. - Wait!

Tae Hwa! Tae Hwa!

They've caught the distributor of the fake paintings.

- What? - Stand close together and smile.

That's enough with the photos.

Excuse me for a moment, Ms. Tae.

What's going on?

They've caught the man who sold the imitation paintings.

It's Mr. Han Cheol Su.

Han Cheol Su?

Song Ju.

Song Ju!

I have to go.

Where are you going?

It's our engagement.

What could be more important than that?

Why are you doing this?

Do you have to make me feel miserable even at a time like this?

I'm sorry.

I'm never going to forgive Jeong Seo.

It's all right...

even if I could never earn Song Ju's heart.

But there's no way I'm letting Jeong Seo have him.

Yu Ri.

Was it Song Ju's heart that you wanted?

What?

Is it love that you're after in this relationship...

or is it this ring?

Mom.

I thought it was this ring that you wanted.

Listen, Yu Ri.

You need to look at the bigger picture.

You're not just the fiancée of a man named Cha Song Ju.

You're the fiancée of the heir of Global Corporation.

You have the whole world in your hands.

What more could you want?

You should go get some rest.

I'll stay and entertain the guests.

I can't give up after all I've done to get here.

That's right.

There's no way this kind of thing will bring my daughter down.

Selling imitation paintings is considered as fraud.

He's responsible for five of them at the Sunyeon Gallery.

(Song Ju)

Please take care of it.

Okay.

(Song Ju)

Song Ju.

Congratulations.

I'm sorry, Jeong Seo.

I'm sorry.

It's all right.

It wasn't my place to be.

We weren't supposed to be together anyway.

Have I been such an unreliable man to you?

No.

It's not like that.

It is.

I let you go.

I didn't run after you.

Even now, I wish I could be with you,

but I can't.

I'm too overridden with guilt.

Don't feel that way, Song Ju. I'm fine.

I really am.

It worked out for the best. This is how it should be.

You were so beautiful today. Do you know that?

You looked...

great as well.

You know that, right?

Where are you?

What happened?

It's nothing.

Something urgent just happened to a friend.

Was the friend's situation so important...

that you would give up on our engagement?

I wish...

I could have been your friend instead.

Is there anything I can do to help your friend?

Do you want me to go where you are?

No, don't come.

You should stay where you need to be.

I have to go. Bye.

Don't do that again.

You won't be able to walk away next time.

Excuse me, miss.

Mr. Han Cheol Su has just been released.

Tae Hwa!

Tae Hwa!

What's wrong?

- Are you hurt? - It's none of your business.

- Let me see! Is it serious? - Ouch!

Leave me alone.

Tae Hwa!

- Tae Hwa! - You fool!

You missed the engagement and let Yu Ri take everything.

Did you think I'd take you back after all that?

I've moved on. I'm sick of you now!

So, go.

Just leave, please!

Do you think I came because I wanted to?

It's because you never left me alone!

You told me to leave but you keep hanging on!

I wanted to get engaged to him too!

It was supposed to be my engagement!

Song Ju was going to give me the ring.

I would've gotten it if it hadn't been for you!

If only you hadn't called my name at that moment!

This is all your fault!

What's this? Tell me!

You said you'd moved on!

Then why do you still have this around your neck?

Are you satisfied?

Don't ever come find me again.

You'll never see me again...

for the rest of your life.

Fine! I don't want to see you again either!

Just go away for good!

Go away! Just go!

Get away! Just leave!

Tae Hwa!

Tae Hwa!

Tae Hwa.

Jeong Seo!

Get in!

Get in, I said!

If I get a ticket, it's all your fault!

How long were you trailing me?

For an hour!

What?

I didn't think you'd come with me...

so I waited until you couldn't stand the cold.

I thought it'd be easier to convince you then.

Get in!

We shouldn't see each other anymore, right?

Friendship is better than love.

Lovers could always break up,

but friends are forever.

Can you be my best friend in the world?

That hurts.

If we're friends,

I could call you and see you...

whenever I miss you, right?

If we're friends,

you'll be there for me during the hard times, won't you?

If we're friends,

it's okay for me to help you when you're in trouble, right?

If we're friends,

we could do everything we couldn't do before, right?

What are you doing?

I'm looking for the ring. Help me look for it.

But you threw it away.

But it's expensive!

Then why did you throw it in the first place?

Because I wanted to look cool! Now, help me.

I found it!

If we're friends, you can take my gifts, right?

We're friends.

That's what we agreed on, remember?

It's a friendship ring.

Do you want to play a game?

Come on!

All right.

- In 1, 2... - Let's go.

- Three! - Goodness!

Song Ju!

Are you all right?

You still lost.

Come on.

- What? - Song Ju!

Do you want to go again?

- Let's go again. - All right.

- In 1, 2... - In 1, 2...

One...

- That was cheating! - What do you mean?

Come on, give me your forehead.

- Song Ju. - Hang on.

- Song Ju, wait. - Get ready.

- Here goes nothing. - Wait! Hang on a second!

What's wrong?

- Hey! Stop right there! - Goodness!

Stop it, Song Ju...

Goodness!

That hurts.

How about one more round?

- One more round! - Okay.

Okay!

Okay!

- In 1, 2... - In 1, 2, 3!

My friend.

There's something I forgot to do before we became friends.

What is it?

What's the difference between friends and lovers?

There are plenty of differences.

Like what?

Friends put their arms around each other's shoulders,

but lovers hold each other's hands.

You don't get butterflies if you hold your friend's hand,

but you do if you hold your lover's hand.

A date with a lover takes priority over a plan with a friend.

You can't take back the gifts you gave to your friend,

but if you break up with your lover,

you could take back the gifts you gave the other.

Taxi!

Get home safely.

Friends don't take each other all the way home, do they?

Song Ju.

What?

A good friend makes sure the other gets home safely.

Especially if it's late at night and the friend is without any cash.

Really?

Should I go with you then?

It's all right. But can I borrow some money for the ride home?

Will ten dollars be enough?

You'd better pay me back, all right?

I will, but there's no interest.

Yes, we'll just be friends.

We could do that at least.

Jeong Seo! What happened to you?

You could've at least called!

I'm sorry.

I'm sure there was a good reason. It's fine as long as she's home now.

It must've been a rough day for her, so don't be so hard on her.

Where have you been?

Yu Ri!

You were with Song Ju, weren't you?

What did you two talk about?

What did you do with him behind my back?

It was my engagement today!

Do you know how long I've waited for this day?

I only get this chance once in my life,

and you've ruined it.

You've ruined everything!

You still love Song Ju, don't you?

And you were going to be engaged to him in my place!

You're right. I was.

My goodness. Jeong Seo!

I love Song Ju.

And I wanted to be the one to be engaged to him.

But it's all over, isn't it?

You're engaged to him, and I'm not.

- Isn't that enough? - It's not enough!

I'm only his fiancée in name only.

- You're the one he really loves! - Then,

you'll have to win his heart.

Now, will you let me go?

Where's your engagement ring he gave you?

- What are you doing? - Where are you hiding it?

- I don't have it! - Goodness!

Honey!

Jeong Seo! I love Song Ju.

I mean it. So, please...

Please don't take him away from me!

- Please, I'm begging you! - Yu Ri, don't do this!

- Yu Ri... - Honey, you have to stay calm!

I just can't bear it!

I wish we could call off the engagement.

This is tearing the sisters apart!

You know you don't mean that.

Jeong Seo!

I know this is hard for you,

but you shouldn't talk to your mother that way.

Do you know how much grief she was in when you were gone?

Apologize to her, now!

Is that how it was?

Let's say you didn't look for me since you thought I was dead.

But what about Tae Hwa?

Why haven't you looked for him?

Don't you care about how he's doing at all?

We did look for him but we gave up after a while.

You're no better, Dad!

If only you'd found Tae Hwa...

I'll find him.

I'm going to find Tae Hwa no matter what.

What are you going to do about Jeong Seo?

You promised me...

that you'd make her happy.

But now you're engaged to someone else?

Don't you know why I let her go?

You're the reason the engagement didn't happen.

Did you think it'd be easy to get engaged to Jeong Seo?

Even she'd refused or run out of the hall,

it's your fault for not stopping her.

If you'd told me about Jeong Seo a little earlier,

this would never have happened.

If only you'd told me that she'd lost her memory...

Fine.

Go ahead and hit me.

Hit me as much as you want...

and take care of Jeong Seo.

Who are you?

Tell me!

What have you done to Jeong Seo?

Why did you do it? Why?

It was the only way I could be with her.

Because I loved her.

Then why did you send her to me?

Why did you let me have her?

Because I can't make her happy,

but you can.

To this day, she's never forgotten about you.

It's still not too late.

Make sure...

that she's happy.

Please.

- Pay up, everyone. - Here.

- Give me more. - How much are you putting in?

- Hang on. Your turn. - This is too much.

- All right. - Hurry up.

- Fine! - I feel embarrassed to sit here.

Ms. Han.

We're pitching in to buy a present for Ms. Han's engagement.

But I'm not sure if we should have you pay too...

Of course, she should! She's on our team.

How much should I pay?

As much as you want.

So what are we getting them?

Is there anything they could possibly need?

Do you need anything, Ms. Han?

Let us know. Maybe, you need some underwear?

You should ask Jeong Seo for help.

Jeong Seo, you know what we like, right?

Make some matching gloves to sell as a set.

Your hands are cold just like your heart.

What are you doing?

I was just browsing.

What are you doing tonight?

There's a restaurant I'd like to take a friend out to.

Song Ju.

- I've been looking for you. - Why?

Are you free tonight? Mom wants you to come over for dinner.

What's wrong? Are you busy?

Sorry, but I have plans with a friend.

But I guess my fiancée should take priority.

Don't you agree?

I do.

All right, then. Let's go together after work.

Yes. I'll let Mom know.

I'm having dinner with my friends tomorrow.

You'll come with me, won't you?

They're looking forward to seeing you.

Really?

I'll see you later.

Isn't this watch nice?

Congratulations!

- Congratulations! - Thank you.

We've prepared a small gift in honor of the occasion.

Ms. Han?

Congratulations.

We don't know what's inside.

Ms. Han picked it out herself.

But we all pitched in.

Thank you, Jeong Seo.

Thank you.

What lovely gloves! Thank you, Jeong Seo. Thank you, everyone.

Try them on! Let's see if they look nice on you.

Of course, they will. Jeong Seo picked them out herself.

These are very warm.

What did I tell you?

I appreciate all the trouble you went through.

Thank you for the thoughtfulness.

That was so moving! Congratulations!

Are you coming to dinner?

No, I have plans.

Do you want me to walk you to the station?

I'll be fine. It's not far from here.

You always catch a cold whenever you get caught in the rain.

Let's go.

I'll just walk you to the station.

See? You get wet.

I'll see you later.

I'm fine. You should go.

You're not wearing your ring.

Don't you want to be friends?

You've made the right choice.

It's better to be lovers than friends, isn't it?

It's not that. It just doesn't fit.

Do you want another one?

Do I have to wear it when we're not even engaged?

Jeong Seo.

Should I call off the engagement?

Why are you asking me that?

Because we're friends.

Can't you give a friend some advice?

Here's some advice for you as a friend.

Be good to your fiancée.

You're the one who's engaged to Yu Ri...

and put the ring on her finger.

Don't forget that.

Thanks for the advice.

Take it.

Now, go.

Take care.

Jeong Seo!

Song Ju!

Do you know what I think about every night?

I think about you.

Do you know what I think about every day when I wake up?

I think about you.

It drives me crazy that you're all I think about.

Don't you feel that way too?

Please take care of him.

I wanted to stop by your place tonight.

Will you be free?

Song Ju, get up.

Please, get up. Song Ju...

Thank you for everything.

Please take care of Mother for me.

I love Jeong Seo.

I'm going to marry her.
