[mechanical whirring]
[zapping]
- [chuckles]
That's one more Embershard for Team Malto.
- Ha! - Whoo! We did it. We did it.
[zapping]
- [groaning]
- Nightshade, are you OK?
- [groaning]
- Run!
- Look out! - Incoming!
- Run!
[dramatic music]
- Nightshade.
- [whimpering]
- [yelps] - Are you two OK?
What was that?
- Ooh, just a minor dose of chaos energy.
[grunts]
- Do I want to know what happens
if someone gets a bigger dose?
- It's cool, Mom.
As soon as we get all the pieces back,
Mo and Robby can heal the Emberstone
and make chaos energy go away forever.
Right, guys?
- We're gonna try.
- Then what are we waiting for?
We're on a roll.
- Actually, Jawbreaker, except for the Embershards
Starscream has at Decepticon Base,
we recovered every piece that went missing.
- [gasps]
[dance music playing]
- [laughs] All right, all right, all right, look,
I know we say it a lot,
but we're very proud of you two.
Most kids don't have to balance being a hero and a student
all at the same time.
- Very true.
It must feel good to finish the Embershard project.
How's your other big project going?
- I got to grow a few more inches
before I go to pro wrestling tryouts.
- [chuckling] No.
Your history report.
Your photo journal on the history of Witwicky?
- Oh, that project.
I'll do it right after the party.
- You mean you haven't even started yet?
- Eh.
[music stops]
- Morgan. It's due tomorrow.
[balloon pops] - Tomorrow?
[transforming pulses]
[electricity crackling]
[dance music playing]
all: Go, go, go, go.
- Whoo-hoo! Yeah!
[laughter]
- Mo!
Did you hear what your father just said?
- I was gonna do my history report, honest.
But I figured saving the world was more important.
- Both are important, hon.
- OK, then since I do the saving,
maybe Dad could use his history teacher powers
and do the reporting for his favorite human daughter.
Ugh, I don't even like history class!
- [gasps, whimpers]
- Oh, let's hope he doesn't remember hearing you say that.
- Oh!
Dottie, I just had the worst nightmare.
- Sorry, Dad.
It's just, we've been doing this for over a year,
and we can finally celebrate and--
- Whoo-hoo! Yeah!
[all cheering]
- Hey, focus, Mo.
We know it hurts right now, but you can join
after taking care of your schoolwork.
- Maybe I can help.
Isn't it super weird that there is
almost nothing on the internet about Witwicky?
Tell 'em, VAL.
- Witwicky, Pennsylvania,
a town that exists in Pennsylvania.
The end.
- That is strange.
Then again, so is Witwicky.
- Exactly.
Maybe we can figure out this weird little town's
life story, hmm?
What do you say, Mo?
- Almost done, guys?
Witwicky has laws against skipping your own party.
- No, I have to do a report on the history of Witwicky.
- Well, those creepy ruins we found
should get you an easy A, right?
- Thrash, you're a genius.
- Ooh, can you say that again but louder?
- Sure, as soon as we get back.
Ready?
- Creepy ruins?
Ooh, that's a pass.
- I'm still game.
- Thanks, Hashtag.
- Ooh, we could start a podcast.
My sister and the terrible, horrible, no-good,
very bad alien.
- Nah, too dramatic.
- Right. [chuckles]
Yeah, we need a title that sells adventure
and relatable themes and--
[gasps]
[camera shutter clicks]
Wow.
It's breathtaking.
- Totally.
OK, let's roll out.
- But we just got here.
[chuckles] Aren't you curious about this place?
- I'm curious what snacks Dad made
for the party we're missing.
- How can you think about food when you are standing
in the middle of real-life ancient history?
[stomach growls]
Oh, right, humans get hungry. [chuckles]
Well, listen, we don't have to stay here all day,
but at least show me where you found
the Quintesson Executioner.
- Sure.
His space pod was parked right there,
but then he made the whole pyramid
come out of the ground, and then he flew away.
The end. Ready?
- Do you think he parked here,
or do you think someone put him here?
- I don't know.
We were sword fighting the whole time,
so I never really got a chance to ask.
Sorry.
- Did he say what he was doing on Earth
or why he was in Witwicky?
- He only said stuff about Quintus
and how I'm supposed to...
[gruffly] Pay for his crimes.
- Crimes?
What crimes?
- He said Quintus abandoned them.
- [gasps] So Quintus put the executioner here.
[suspenseful music]
Oopsie.
[screams]
- I'm coming, Hashtag!
- [shouting]
Whoo-hoo!
Whoo-hoo!
Is homework supposed to be this fun?
- Which part of this is fun?
[gasps]
- Whoo-hoo!
I bet no one has ever been down here.
- Or no one's lived to tell the tale.
[grunts]
- OK, I take back what I said earlier.
History rules.
And I am totally in my element.
- This is your element?
- Sorry I was grouchy earlier.
I'm really glad we're doing this.
- Yeah, me too. [chuckles]
Is it always this dark underground?
- Sis, you're the bravest bot I know.
And there's no one I'd rather be here with.
- And Thrash refused to come.
- See?
You're braver than Thrash.
- Thanks, Mo. [chuckles weakly]
Any guesses where we are?
- [snarling]
- Is it really bad or super bad?
- Uh-huh.
- [roars]
- Dweller!
[tires squealing]
- I thought you beat that thing last year!
- Me too.
And I was turbocharged on Cave Water.
- I see a door!
- Another one?
Mo! - [growls]
[tires squealing]
Hold on!
[blasters zapping]
My element!
[exciting music]
Nice moves, Hashtag.
- Did we lose 'em?
Mo?
- We're...fine.
- Your hesitation and tone are very suspicious.
- [growling]
- [whispering] Quick, turn your lights off.
- [whispering] I'm already scared enough, thanks.
- Remember the first time we met a Dweller?
They passed over you and JB to get to Thrash.
His headlights were shining right at it.
- [gasps]
- Trust me.
[dramatic music]
[festive music playing] all: Go. Go. Go.
Go. Go. Go. Go. Go.
- [roars]
[growls]
[snarls]
- [laughs] Whoo!
[giggles]
- Ugh! - Gah!
- Ew.
- Seriously?
- What? I still have a report to do.
- Hey, sorry I froze up back there,
and thanks for being the best little big sister
in the world.
- Anytime, big little sister.
- OK, now, where are we?
Jeez.
How does Witwicky have so many
of these alien-looking tunnels?
- I think you're forgetting, why do they react to you?
- And the tower Mandroid raised,
it was made of the same stuff, right?
- What do you think it is?
- Weird is what it is.
VAL, can you combine all the maps I have of Witwicky,
the other tunnels we've explored
and the stuff we found on Agent Croft's hard drive?
- Of course I can, but would you like me to?
- VAL!
- Hmm, your tone suggests yes.
- Whoa!
Everything connects?
- Am I crazy, or does that part kind of look like a--
[heavy thudding]
[zapping]
- [grunts] My turn already.
And you have to do it with style.
[grunting]
- Ha!
Some style you got there, Spitfire,
or should I call you No-Fire?
- Ha, ha, ha.
And I thought you were just funny-looking.
- Aftermath is the complete package.
Ta-da!
- I don't think you--
[sighs] You know what? Never mind.
Just hold still while I recharge this--
what's it called again?
- Cyber Slayer.
Wicked cool name for a weapon if you ask--
ow! [gibbers]
[groaning]
[glugging]
That does not get any easier.
But what a rush.
- Yeah? Then next time, we'll trade.
[grunts]
[heavy thud]
Any doors open up yet?
- Ha, that's what we're doing here?
Sister, I stopped listening after Starscream said...
[mockingly] Take the Cyber Slayer.
Ah!
- Well, apparently
this thing's supposed to get us inside.
- Where?
- Yeah, Starscream left that part out.
But he did say it would help his big plan for taking down
the Maltos and the Autobots.
[shouts]
[grunts]
[shouts]
- They're getting worse!
- Speaking of worse.
Whoa!
- Why didn't I just go to the library like a normal kid?
[both screaming]
[dramatic music]
- No!
[both scream]
- [shrieks] - [shouts]
[panting]
- [gasps]
This is on Mom and Dad for making me do my homework.
What happened to their rebellious spirit?
- [laughs] Who wants Embercake for dinner?
- With Cave Water frosting.
- Oh! Me, me, me, me. - Me, me, me, me.
- I do! I do!
- Let's just focus on us.
- OK, then.
I have enough for my report, so maybe we could leave
a few mysteries for another day and go home?
- But we're close to something, something big.
I can feel it.
VAL, please tell us where we are on the map.
- No.
- Excuse me?
- But I can show you.
- Ugh.
- Our position is uncharted.
- So where do we go from here?
- Definitely not back up that wacky waterslide.
Mo, what does that look like to you?
[both shout]
[zapping]
- [laughs]
- Is this even doing anything?
- Open sesame!
[grunts]
[rocks crumbling]
both: Whoa.
- Who wakes Titan Terratronus?
Not you.
A vile surge disturbs my stasis.
- Hi, Miss Terratronus. [chuckles nervously]
I'm Hashtag, and that's my sister Mo.
One sec, please. [chuckles]
[whispering] Mo, sanity check.
The sky is blue. - Uh-huh.
- Dad clips his toenails in the van.
- Uh-huh.
- And there's a ginormous bot
sleeping under Witwicky.
- Wrong.
She's not asleep anymore.
- OK, thanks.
Sorry about that. [chuckles]
It's just not every day
we meet someone as impressive as you.
I do have a quick question, though.
Have we been walking around inside you?
And second part, did we just come out of your nose?
- [chuckles] Sisters.
Only beings who possess the power of Quintus Prime
may navigate my inner systems.
But I record no history in stasis.
- Wait. Then how do you know Quintus?
- And what are you doing sleeping under Witwicky?
- Witness the answers you seek.
I, too, am the progeny of Quintus Prime.
His work began long ago and spanned teracycles.
Using the Emberstone, Quintus would ignite life
on barren worlds across the universe
in hopes of spawning future allies of Cybertron--
pure intentions that failed.
The first life-forms he helped spark,
known as the Quintessons, sons of Quintus,
grew to seek out their creator.
They desired truth of their purpose.
But they discovered they were merely one of many--
many he would leave.
So they grew to distrust Quintus and all his species.
- Yeah, I met a Quintesson.
He said Quintus abandoned them,
but I didn't know what he meant.
- Hold on.
Is Quintus not the nice guy we thought he was?
- He is a Prime, deserving of your respect.
- OK, but he gave me and my brother this power.
Then he disappeared.
- The Quintessons grew bitter,
endeavoring to destroy his work and strip him
of a power they felt better fit to wield themselves.
But Quintus knew them unworthy due to their violent nature.
Remorseful Quintus retired to a young world
with no need for his powers--
Earth--where he laid the Emberstone to rest.
His hunters tracked its power signature.
To protect the artifact,
Quintus synced his spark with it
and created one final life-form to serve as guardian
of the precious Emberstone:
I, Titan Terratronus.
After cloaking the artifact's signature,
I fooled the Quintessons into thinking
our maker escaped with it.
They followed, leaving behind scouts and beasts
not powerful enough to breach my walls
and extinguish my spark,
despite many efforts.
So I laid ready to wake and defend the Emberstone
from them or any other unworthy usurpers...
a need that never developed.
Unused, my power diminished over time.
But Quintus' spirit chose two worthy successors,
new custodians of the Emberstone and its power:
you and your brother.
- Wow.
So you're the first Terran.
That means we're related.
Wait, we're not related to Quintessons, though, are we?
- The Emberstone connects us all.
Mo, where is the artifact now?
- Oh, do we have a story for you.
- Mo and Robby blew it up on accident.
- You corrupted the gift of a Prime?
- Well, kind of, yeah.
But we didn't mean to.
We had to undo what Mandroid did.
- As a victim of what he did...[chuckles]
I'd say Mo and Robby made the right choice.
- A corrupt artifact may spawn chaos.
- Oh, yeah, we know all about that.
[rocks rumbling]
- [screams]
- Miss Terratronus?
- Young ones, I haven't the strength to defend myself.
You must shield my spark chamber
from this tainted power.
If anyone were to fill my spark with it,
I would be entirely under their influence.
both: Starscream.
- This is why he's been collecting Embershards.
- And why he wanted Croft's hard drive.
- He's known about Terratronus this whole time.
- Remember what happened to nightshade earlier?
If that happens to her...
VAL, call Twitch and tell her we need--
- No signal.
But I can still access local data
such as Hashtag diary underscore do not read
or else.
- No! No, no, no, no, no. [laughs]
Remind me to password protect that later.
- Hashtag, have to tell the others before it's too late.
- I'll wrestle you for who gets to tell Screamy the good news.
- Whoo-hoo! Yeah!
- [chuckles]
[terminal beeping]
- Guys, Starscream found a giant Terran
living under Witwicky.
- Huh?
- Her name's Terratronus, and you totally
have to meet her sometime.
- All the techno-organic stuff we found--
the tunnels, the caves-- it's all Terratronus.
- Wait.
- Starscream's been collecting Embershards
to turn her into a weapon.
- What?
- You stay out there and make sure Starscream
doesn't get our half of the Emberstone,
or Terratronus becomes an unstoppable Chaos Titan.
Chaos Titan.
- Mom!
- Or Terratronus becomes an unstoppable Chaos Titan.
- Why is our family always in the middle
of someone's evil plot?
- If Mo and Hashtag are right, then Starscream
might be coming for this right now.
- Not to worry.
The Smart Vault 9001
requires a bio-scan from one of us.
He'll never find it.
- Starscream could still cause a lot of chaos with his half.
Witwicky isn't safe until we collect all the shards.
- We've attempted that once before, if you recall.
- Oh, yeah, I wasn't even there,
and I know that was a loss with a capital L.
[grunts]
- We've had a lot of losses--
the Chaos Terrans, everyone fighting over Embershards.
But we've still got a chance to win
and end all this madness so that life
can go back to normal.
We just have to get Starscream's half
so Mo and I can try healing the Emberstone.
- Hmm, it's worth a shot.
- Thrash, you and Dad stay here and guard our Embershards.
- Roger, Robby.
- Well, Malto-bots, what are we waiting for?
Roll out.
[exciting music]
[dramatic music]
- [squawking]
- Decepticons, when the sun next rises,
it will shine upon New Cybertron.
I, her ruler.
- Starscream, your objective is misguided.
Had you consulted me, I--
- Fall in line, Shockwave.
- Our priority should be a return to Cybertron.
Earth will never be our home.
It is our prison.
- For years, you have failed to provide proof
of Cybertron's survival.
So this world is our new domain.
All who stand in opposition
shall perish beneath the heel of my Chaos Titan.
[explosions]
[engines revving]
Spitfire, it's time to put your unique skills to the test.
- Got it, boss.
On my way.
- Starscream, surrender your collection of Embershards,
and we will leave you in peace.
- Resist, and we will leave you in pieces.
- Please pick option one.
Did I mention it comes with a new front door?
Not replacing those, though.
- Decepticons, show our oppressors no mercy.
- Yeah, come on!
[all yelling and grunting]
- Ah!
Dad, I appreciate the lesson, really,
but if Starscream does break in,
I think I'll be more effective with my shield.
- You know what they say.
The best offense is a good defense.
- [yelps] - [laughs]
[device beeping]
- Get down! [explosion]
[screams, grunts]
- Thrash? Thrash!
Are you OK, son?
- Hey pops, BRB.
I'm glad Twitch and I have something in common.
- Thrash, you have to get up.
- Oh, Alex.
[laugh evilly]
[engine revving, tires squealing]
[all grunting]
- [squawks]
Ah! Whoa! Ah!
- [grunts]
- I hope Nightshade hacked the right password to get us in.
- Tonight's the night, Twitch.
Tonight's the night.
Yes!
We did it!
[gasps]
Dad.
- Hear me, child.
Success puts me in a good mood, so I'll make this easy.
Return my Embershards,
and you can have your father back.
- Son, do not trust him.
- What other choice does he have?
- He's right.
- Dorothy, no.
I can neutralize Starscream and rescue Alex.
- No, Megatron.
Nothing's worth that kind of risk, not even these.
- Robby, you can't trade the safety of the entire world
just for one person.
I forbid it.
- Enough. Give me the stone--now
- [scoffs]
- Son, no!
- I'm sorry, Dad.
I have to.
Family first, always.
- [laughs evilly]
- [grunts]
[both screaming]
both: Dad!
- Decepticons, move out.
[engines revving]
[tires squealing]
Here, you've earned the honor.
[electricity zapping]
- Ah!
- Ah!
- Optimus!
Megatron!
[electricity zapping]
- [grunting]
[grunts]
- Well done, Spitfire.
Come now.
We have more to accomplish.
- Kids?
Kids!
[grunts]
[gasps]
It's gonna be OK, right?
- [moans]
I don't want to go to school.
What?
[gasps] Where's Dad?
- [moos]
- Dad? - [moos]
- Dad! - [moos]
- Dad! - [moos]
- Guys? Team Terran?
Anyone?
- [moos]
- Yeah, moo.
- Thrash, where are you?
- Something happened.
I don't know. I can't find Dad, and--and--
- It's OK. I'm with Mom and Dad.
I'll explain everything, but right now,
I need you to pick me up up at Decepticon Base--fast.
- I'll be there in a flash.
For the record, none of that sounds remotely OK.
both: Whoa.
- [laughs] Hey, Hashtag.
- [laughs]
- Do you think everyone else is OK?
I guess I feel like no more earthquakes down here
means all the troubles moved somewhere else.
- Pfft, are you kidding?
Of course they are.
Why?
- Ha!
Are you Maltos ever not wrong?
[grunts]
- Move, and you're toast.
[intense music]
- That--it--it can't be.
- This? [chuckles]
I assure you, it is precisely what you fear.
- What did you do?
[grunts, yells]
- [grunts]
- Stay down, peewee.
[engine revving]
[electricity crackling]
- I think we found Starscream's trail.
- Hold on.
- Starscream, after everything you told me
about being taken advantage of for so long,
how can you just turn around and do the same thing?
- Hashtag, my advice was,
remember to take care of yourself,
which is exactly what I am doing.
- You're a monster.
- You don't even know what that much chaos power
is capable of.
- I know.
Isn't it exciting?
- Ah!
- Mo!
- Robby!
[both grunt]
- You have no idea how good it is to see you.
- Like, better than setting a world land-speed record good,
which I'm pretty sure we just did.
- Where's everybody else?
- It's just us.
- What about the Autobots?
- We're on our own?
- Aw, and I missed it all?
Bummer.
I love a good butt-kicking.
- Let us in there, and I'll give you a replay.
- Oh, yeah? - Yeah.
- Yeah? - Yeah!
- Yeah?
- Nah.
- [gasps]
- Yeah!
- [growls] - Enough!
Aftermath, I'll have the Cyber Slayer now.
- Can I have it back when you're done?
I want to see how much of Witwicky
I can tear up with it.
- I appreciate your propensity for destruction.
You are chaos, after all.
Which, tragically for you, is why you're here.
- [screams]
[grunts]
[dramatic music]
- [breathing shakily]
- Spitfire! - Hey!
Let us in! We can help you!
- [grunting]
No!
[yells]
- You are more cruel than Megatron ever was.
- Such compliments in my moment of triumph.
And now watch me be more effective
than Megatron ever was.
It's time the Emberstone gives me
what it's already given you.
[laughs evilly]
Yes!
[laughs evilly]
The power of Quintus Prime lies in the appropriate hands.
- Now he's got a-- a chaos sleeve?
- Tonight the rule of humans and Autobots ends.
Earth shall become New Cybertron,
ruled by Decepticons!
[indistinct chatter, laughter]
[bell tolling] [crows cawing]
[rocks rumbling]
[dramatic music]
- [gasps]
- [breathing shallowly]
[screams]
- You're done now, humans.
Good luck stopping that.
- The might of a titan entirely under my influence.
Time to dispose of the interlopers.
[electricity crackling]
[all scream]
[intense music]
[all scream, grunt]
Run, Terran scum, for that is all you can do now.
[laughs evilly]
- I'm glad Starscream's on our side.
- Aren't we on his side?
- Hey, just be happy we'll finally
be rid of these Malto jerks.
- Make way for New Cybertron.
- [grunts]
- [grunts] Shields up, Mo.
Whoa!
Ah!
- [grunts]
[dramatic music]
- [laughs evilly]
- Decepticons, Starscream has lost control
of his weapon and his mind.
This will be the end of us all.
- Whoa, where are you going?
- My own way.
Come with me if you want to live.
[people screaming]
- We can't keep running,
or she'll take out the entire town.
- Anyone know how to take down a giant?
- We can't hurt her.
She's one of us.
[all scream]
- [laughs evilly]
Oh, the power, the glory--
finally, it's all in the palm of my hand.
- [groans]
[gasps]
[children crying]
- The fight over these powers
have caused nothing but destruction.
This ends now, Mo.
- OK, so what's the plan?
- We need to contain her and all that chaos power.
- Yeah, totally.
But how do we do that?
- With Prime Power.
Remember those dome shields we made before?
- Exactly.
Visualize the Emberstone.
Imagine it before it broke.
- We've never done anything this big before, though.
- We've got to try.
[both grunt]
- Pathetic Maltos.
- [grunts] Robby.
- Focus, Mo.
Think of everyone we're fighting for--
the people of this town, the Autobots,
Mom, Dad, the entire world.
Together, we can save them all.
- It's over.
both: Starscream ain't got nothing on us.
- [laughs]
[both grunting]
- No.
No.
No, no, no, no, no, no!
No.
[shrieking] No!
[ground rumbles]
I hate this town.
- Yeah! - Whoo!
- We did it!
- And look, Robby.
[light music]
[both gasp]
No.
No, no, no, no, no, no!
[both gasp]
What happened?
Robby, how do we heal it now?
- It's OK.
Really.
- But we fought so hard for so long, like you said.
- I know.
But look at all we've done without it.
The power's in us.
I don't think we need the Emberstone anymore.
Honest.
It already gave us the only thing we actually do need--
each other.
- Robby, come in.
- Hey, Twitch.
I got you.
Is everyone all right?
- Everyone's fine.
- Oh, thank goodness.
I thought we lost you.
- Don't ever scare your mother like that again.
It's not nice.
