Original subtitles

[suspenseful music]

[metallic footfalls]

- [chuckles]

[grunts]

[bell rings] What's my prize?

[dramatic music]

I see you're still up to your old tricks, Fairmaestro.

- Just wait till you see my new ones.

[carnival music playing]

Welcome to my world-famous Tent of Curiosities.

Now it's time for show and sell.

Oh, how I adore the art of barter.

- You first.

[explosion]

[coughing]

- A scatter blaster!

I haven't seen one of these since--

- Your turn.

You promised a deal I couldn't refuse.

- This right here is a genuine Cybertronian flamethrower.

- You better not pull any fast ones.

- Imported straight from Cybertron.

- [laughs evilly]

- [gasps] Hey, no, no! No, no!

Uh--uh--

[sighs]

- Counterfeit.

- Hey, a deal's a deal.

I'll throw in a grenade launcher.

Only slightly used.

- Hmm.

[fireworks whistle] No.

- Oh.

[dramatic music]

OK, fine.

How about I trade you all of this for that?

[suspenseful music]

- No deal.

- I'll throw in a missile launcher.

It does more damage than your dust.

- Oh, but your desire for this trinket compels me to keep it.

Now be gone.

- Hey, you just--

[electricity zaps]

[grunting and thudding]

[groans]

You don't have to tell me twice.

- The Fairmaestro always wins.

[wicked laughter]

[mechanical whirring]

[upbeat carnival music]

[laughter]

[riders screaming]

- [laughs]

[metallic clink]

- Aw! [groans]

- Go, Twitch! - You got this.

- Bust them beasts!

- Ah!

I should have kicked alien egg butt!

This game is impossible to win.

- Yeah. Sometimes, they rig the games.

- [gasps] They cheat?

Ugh, that's cheating!

- How about we do something else?

- Yeah, this is the carnival's last night here.

We gotta make it count.

- The other Maltos are missing out.

- Yeah.

No one tell them exactly how fun this is.

It's not their fault they're stuck on patrol.

- Dunking Schloder is a solid option.

Hey, Schloder!

- [gasps] [splash]

- [chuckles] Cosmic Thunder is at the top of my list,

but it looks like we'd be waiting forever.

- There's no line at the Tent of Curiosities.

And now I'm curious. Let's go!

- [gasps] Funnel cake!

- You sure you want to eat before the rides?

- You know me. I like to live dangerously.

I don't want to hold up the list.

Why don't you go ahead and I'll catch up with you later?

- Whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and sardines.

- That's me! - That's me!

- Oops.

- Oops, my bad, excuse me.

Wow, weird.

I thought I was the only one who ordered it like that.

- The perfect sugary-fishy ratio!

[soft dramatic music]

- You can take it. - No, you take it.

- Can somebody take it?

- It's all you, really.

- Thanks, but I want to wait until you get yours.

Just in case they run out of that topping.

- We never run out of that topping.

- Huh. Good to know.

I'm Robby.

- One more sardines and whipped cream.

Real adventurous.

- So you go to Witwicky High?

- I'm about to. I just moved here.

- I moved here, too! I mean, before now.

Not just now.

- Really? It seems OK so far, but I kind of miss my friends.

- Yeah, I was like that at first, too.

Oh, oops! [food splats]

- [chuckles] Here, share mine.

[romantic 80s pop music]

[all groan]

- What was that?

- It felt like a good stomachache.

Is that even a thing?

- Mine felt like my stomachache had a stomachache.

Is that a thing? - Maybe Robby's on a ride.

- Or it's that fishy funnel cake.

We should check on him just in case.

- On it.

[Twitch whirring]

Huh. Funnel cake, it is.

[suspenseful music]

[fireworks whistle]

- Behold the Tent of Curiosities.

Gaze upon rare curios of wonder.

- Ooh, the realm of mythical creatures.

- [gasps]

- Look! A mini hippogriff!

- I personally think

a horse-eagle hybrid should be called a heagle.

- But a hippogriff sounds way cooler.

- Mm. Valid point. What's up next?

- [spooky voice] The world of the undead.

[laughs evilly]

- Watch out, a dead zombie!

- Gah!

Redundant, but still scary.

- Ah-ah-ah.

- Ah! - No touching.

Unless you have a trade.

[soft suspenseful music]

- [snickers] Looks like we found something

spookier than that zombie.

- Yeah, there must be a creepy magician section in here.

- Guys, look here.

- [gasps]

How did he get that?

- Hmm.

- Uh, nothing to see here.

Just regular oddity stuff. Not odd oddity stuff.

Thrash, Mo, over here.

- What? - Oh, my shard.

[bell rings]

- See if you can beat this.

[romantic 80s pop music]

[all groaning]

- What is this?

- Oh, no. I feel the fuzzies.

- What are the fuzzies?

- A word I just made up because I don't know

what this weird and fuzzy feeling in my stomach is.

- We gotta focus on the Embershard.

How did it even get here?

- Are we sure it's even real?

- Only one way to find out.

- I don't know.

That creepy magician guy seems pretty intense.

- Yeah, we need to be careful.

Let's think for a moment.

- Good luck beating my final score.

- [chuckles] Thanks.

[romantic 80s pop music]

[mechanical grinding] - This is way worse!

- What is this?

- Whoa. Whoa. Is it suddenly hot in here?

- [panting] Yeah, it feels like

the back of my knees are sweating.

And I don't even have sweat glands.

- We got to think fast about the shard

before we make a scene.

- Might--[chuckles] Be too late for that.

- Maybe we can make a trade for it.

Does anyone have anything to trade?

- Well, it's too risky.

This shard can do a lot of damage

if it gets into the wrong hands.

[panting]

[strains]

- Wrong hands?

I believe that's my cue.

[all exclaiming]

- Surrender, thieves! You won't get away with this.

[person groans]

[energetic electronic music]

- We are not the enemy! You've got to trust us!

- Give it back now, and your lives will be spared!

[head thumps] - [sighs]

[all screaming]

- Sorry. Are you--

[gasps] Fairmaestro!

[both straining]

No!

- Ha-ha!

[groans]

[energetic electronic music playing on speaker]

[dance pad beeping]

- Yes! I'm ahead now.

- Not for long.

- Look out!

- Oh!

- Sorry, mister!

- Clear the fairway posthaste!

- Oh!

- We got to find Robby and get out of here.

- Don't go. We're having such fun.

[both groan]

[game beeping]

- [groans] Come on.

- I promise we're the good guys.

- We don't have that in common.

[tense music]

- [gasps]

- [laughs evilly]

- No! [groans]

- Victorious!

Not surprised, though. This game is totally my jam.

Everything OK?

- Yeah, I'm fine.

I guess I strained it during that intense finale.

- Are you truly a winner, though, if you have to carry

this gigantic turtle around all night?

- Worth it! It's a badge of honor.

- True.

[gasps] Hey, the line for Cosmic Thunder died down.

Want to go on it? - Yes.

- What's so special about this thing?

- [growls]

Fine. Don't talk.

But if you and Swindle are prime to steal it,

then it must be a top-tier prize.

- No, don't! Bad things will happen!

- You know, I heard a rumor

there's an object out there that can create new bots.

Please tell me that this is that

magnificent little bauble.

No matter.

Into my Tent of Curiosities, it shall go.

And these bots, I've never seen anything like them.

Absolutely perfect for my collection.

- You won't get away with this.

- [scoffs] The Fairmaestro always wins.

[soft suspenseful music]

- We're so close. Finally!

- I can't wait.

Hey!

Uh, I still didn't catch your name.

- One hour till closing, folks.

Get in line for that last ride.

- Oh, what did you say?

- I was asking for you--

- And try our cosmic corn dogs for half off.

They're out of this world.

- Sorry for the hold up. We have a "spill" to clean.

How many in your party?

- We're together.

[heart pounding] - Yeah, two.

- [snarls] I can't deal with this right now.

OK, Mo, think. There's got to be a way out.

Or I can create my own exit.

[energy thrumming]

[dramatic music]

[shouts]

- Hmm. What to do with you?

Huh?

[soft suspenseful music]

- Let's get out of here. - Thanks, Mo.

- Not so fast.

- And how does he do that?

- Rude.

Do I come to your home and break your things?

For that, I'm keeping this.

- We can't let you have that.

- We're not leaving without the shard.

- [scoffs and chuckles]

[groaning and sputtering]

[energetic electronic music]

- You're up.

Ignore the smell, and enjoy the ride.

[romantic 80s pop music]

- Move!

- Hey! No cuts! [mechanical whirring]

Huh?

Oh, uh--

[metallic clanking]

- Robby, is the ride supposed to do this?

- I don't think so.

We've got to get down.

- I have an idea. Come on.

[suspenseful music]

- Whoa!

- Did the Fairmaestro go in there?

- Who's the Fairmaestro?

- Creepy magician dude, Emberstone shard?

- No, he just took off in Cosmic Thunder.

- And who are they?

- That's my family.

[romantic 80s pop music]

- Cool zip line move, by the way.

- We make a good team. [heart pounding]

- My stomach. [all groaning]

[heart pounding]

- [gasps] Wait a minute.

I read about this in a comic book!

Robby has a crush!

- [gasps] - What the what?

- Me? A crush?

I don't think so.

- The fuzzies!

It explains the sweaty knees, the flutter stomach,

feeling happy and nervous all at the same time.

- You could feel that?

Stop feeling my emotions!

[both gasp] [heart beating]

[all groaning]

Whoa!

- Whoa!

[both shouting]

So this is new.

- [yelps]

[dramatic music]

- What's happening? - We are levitating!

That's what's happening!

This goes down in history as the coolest thing ever!

[both shouting]

- How? Why did this happen?

- Our new cyber suits must have created some kind of

cyber sync with all four of us.

- How do we actually fly this thing?

- I'm not sure.

But we got to figure it out fast to get the shard back.

- We can do it. - I believe in us.

[upbeat electronic music]

- You and I can easily pilot this thing.

- Twitch, you know how to fly,

so you're in charge of the flying stuff.

- Technical term.

- We've got lift.

- And Thrash, you're the king of acceleration,

so that's all you.

- I totally got this. Maximum overdrive!

- Anyone got eyes on the space ship?

Whoo! - Let's do this.

- There it is!

- Time for the Fairmaestro to orchestrate your demise.

[panels beeping]

[grunts] Fire!

- Ready to fight? - Absolutely, but how?

- Initiate firepower?

- That'll work.

- Fingers crossed that we don't lose the shard in the process.

[whirring] - [gasps]

- Wait, is that a--

[tense music]

- That's not a ride. - It's an Autobot!

- But how? - Huh?

- We've got to free them.

[panel beeping]

- [gasps] Hmm?

[dramatic music]

[alarm beeps]

[screams]

[screaming]

- Got it.

- [screaming]

[soft suspenseful music]

[sighs] I knew you'd save me.

- Let's see how you like being the main attraction!

- [screaming]

[eerie theremin music]

[all gasping]

[soft upbeat music]

[handcuffs clicking] - How dare you?

Nothing is stolen. It's all goods,

collected in completely normal and legal ways.

- Hi, we're the Maltos.

- Hey, I'm Cosmos!

Do you have any idea how long I've been here?

Seriously, though, any idea? My head is spinning.

And is there gum on me? [sighs]

Kids really enjoy putting gum on my seats.

You don't want to know what's on the floor.

- You're free now.

We're friends with the Autobots,

so we can help you with whatever you need.

- No way!

- Optimus Prime and Megatron--

- My circuits must still be jumbled.

I thought I heard you say you're friends with Megatron.

- Don't worry. He's a good guy now.

- [chuckles] If you say so.

- You'll have a home with the Autobots now.

- As long as I never have to hear

that awful carnival song again.

[dramatic music]

- Now is my chance to win a prize!

[feedback screeches] - One minute till closing.

- Ugh. Fine. Next year.

Are you looking for-- what's her name again?

- I still need to find out!

- What are you waiting for? Find her.

[romantic 80s pop music]

- I was hoping I'd catch you.

Does your family always chase after bad guys like that?

- Yeah, kind of.

- I guess there's more to Witwicky than I thought.

- I tried to ask earlier, but, you know,

carnival noises and all.

What's your name again? - [chuckles]

Yeah, it's been so loud in here.

I'm Isabel. You can call me Izzy.

- Cool. See you at school.

I, uh, didn't mean to make that rhyme.

- Maybe we can hang out again later--alligator.

- It's a date! [chuckles]

Not a date.

Maybe a date?

Crocodile?

[heart beating]

[all groan] - Not the fuzzies.

- It's back. - When will this end?
