Original subtitles

I'm Ky Stax, a Kairu Champion.

I race around the world seeking out Kairu.

Lokar has unleashed a dangerous Kairu: Shadow Kairu.

Shadow Kairu X-Drives contain powerful new attacks

and monstrous warriors.

We must master both types of Kairu

to save the Earth from Lokar's Shadow.

My quest is to conquer the Kairu...

To one day become...

A Redakai!

It all started when Master Baoddai told Ky

about a faraway place

that might hold the secret to eliminating Shadow Kairu

from the world.

So, of course, I immediately took off to find it.

And before long, I realized I wasn't alone

because Ekayon decided to join me on my quest.

And Maya and I would've joined him too,

if it wasn't for the Kairu Cube Tournament we had to compete in.

We did really well in the first round

and eliminated Team Imperiaz.

But now we have to fight the Radikor,

and there's a lot at stake.

Yeah. Like winning Master Baoddai's dragon back

so he can return to full strength.

Which is easier said than done,

since Lokar just showed up to stop the tournament.

And if I don't find the antidote to Shadow Kairu soon,

the tournament won't matter

because the earth as we know it will cease to exist.

Wow. That was intense.

And I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

Remember what Master Baoddai said, Ky:

This could be the greatest quest of your life.

You need to be careful.

I'll try.

But when it comes to tracking Kairu,

careful's never really been my thing.

Who took my Kairu Cube!

Kairu Cube?

Why would I want one of those?

It totally doesn't even match anything I own.

Silence!

[whimpers]

Zane!

Maybe you took it so you could try and usurp my power again.

I didn't do it, Master.

Honest! Remember the last tournament?

I showed you my loyalty by stepping aside for you.

So, you three think that you can do as you please

and there will be no consequences?

W-w-well, Sir...

Master...

you see...

... we were just trying to show you

that we're still your best team...

... yes, our intentions were good.

Your intentions were self-serving.

You should be ashamed.

Betraying your own creator.

Did Lokar just say that he was their creator?

Now would be a good time to make our escape, brothers.

Yes. We agree.

[questioning grunt]

[shouts of pain]

[shouts]

Somebody pinch me, quick.

I want to make sure I wasn't created by Lokar too.

Ow! That's just an expression!

Wait! Those guys were fakes all along?

If I knew that, I would've shut them off myself.

Let this be a lesson to you all.

Do not test my good nature,

because I will not hesitate to remove any of you from action.

That is no way for a Master to treat his students.

You have your methods, old man.

I'll deal with my warriors as I please.

Now I demand my Kairu Cube back this instant.

Along with the X-Drive Palladion that is stored within it.

I won both fairly.

Most certainly not.

The tournament has already begun.

It is not our fault that you haven't instilled

a sense of honor in your warriors.

[thunderclap]

Atoch: The tournament will now resume.

The final round shall be Team Stax versus Team Radikor.

All right! Let's get this party raging!

It's one thing defeating the Imperiaz.

But the Radikor are a completely different story.

That's putting it mildly.

Just remember who we're doing this for.

We're Master Baoddai's only chance of getting his dragon

and his strength back.

[thunderclap]

[running footsteps]

A dead end?

But how is that possible?

I don't know.

Maybe we took a wrong turn somewhere.

But we haven't taken any turns.

We've been walking in a straight line.

And we both saw light coming from inside the cave.

We could go back and retrace our steps.

You know, just to be sure.

No way! The Prism Kairu's here. I know it!

You're right, Ky; these readings are off the charts.

And they're most powerful coming from the area

directly above our heads.

Which means we need to go up. [rumbling]

And the faster we do it, the better. Let's go!

[grunts]

Ky, I'm not seeing much of anything up here.

Which isn't such good news

considering the floor below us just disappeared.

Look! It's an opening. Come on!

Wow!

Both: Awesome!

And now to find that Prism Kairu.

Whoa! Are you seeing this, Ky?

Yeah. I'm starting to think you may have been onto something

with the whole, "be careful" thing.

Huh?

[gentle voice] I am the Guardian of The Prism Kairu.

Why have you come here?

[gasps]

So where's your third wheel?

Ky too afraid to show up and fight us today?

Yeah, where exactly is Ky, anyway?

Unlike you, Zane, Ky actually has important quests to go on.

Now are you going to talk all day

or did you come here to battle?

Nice.

Boomer one, Zane zero.

[whoosh]

Good. This ice will prevent you two from running away.

Be ready. Zane will probably try to take us out early

with a red attack.

I'm feeling a Power Surge coming on!

[shouts]

I wasn't expecting a blue attack at all.

That's the idea, genius.

Bruteron!

[roar]

Grappler!

[shriek]

Maneglor!

[roar]

Well, expect it or not, deal with this: Tidal Force!

[roar]

[whoosh]

Whoa!

That's c-c-c-cold.

We've got them on the run.

Let's try and finish them off.

Ice Whip!

Where'd she go?

Why? Did you miss me?

Earth Slam!

[crash]

[screams]

Finish them off, Maneglor.

I was hoping you'd say that.

Cyclone Snare!

Maya! Boomer!

Look out!

[shouts]

[gasps]

[grunt]

[grunt]

[groan]

[laughter]

Wait, Atoch.

They're not finished yet.

[groan]

[gentle high voice] Why have you come?

We've come for the Prism Kairu.

We need it to stop Lokar and save the earth.

The Prism Kairu is mine.

[voice changes to growl] And you shall NOT have it.

Look out!

Aaahhh!

I don't think talk's going to cut it, Ky.

If we want that Prism Kairu,

we're going to have to battle for it.

You're right, Ekayon.

It's time to go monster to monster.

Metanoid!

[roar]

Plasma Tornado!

[whoosh]

[gasp]

Come on, Maya. We have to turn this thing around

before we lose.

OK, we've got one shot at winning

so we'd better make it count.

Let's go big.

Harrier!

Platinum Harrier!

[roar]

Froztok!

[roar]

Platinum Froztok!

[roar]

Big deal.

You're still going down.

Shadow Sword!

We're not going anywhere, but you are.

Cleansing Strike!

Righteous Light!

Righteous Strike!

[roar]

Aaaaahh!

Hey, where's my Bruteron?

Awesome job, Boomer.

Now I need a power attack to shut these guys down for good.

Lightning Storm!

Run!

Let's get out of here!

This way!

Team Stax are the winners!

[cheering]

[snarl]

Way to go, Boomer.

It wasn't a solo victory, but you won.

No, we won, Maya.

And now Master Baoddai finally gets Palladion back.

[crashing]

Awesome!

[screech]

There you are, my old friend.

[whistling wind]

Boomer: Awesome!

You look just like your old self again, Master B.

I feel like my old self, Boomer.

At long last.

Thanks to you two.

It was our pleasure.

This battle is not over yet.

What is this?

You do not make the rules, Lokar.

Palladion is mine.

I refuse to accept this outcome.

If you want to battle, Lokar, accept my challenge.

Battle me for the Kairu Cube and for your dragon, Drakilar.

Under the rules, the two of you may engage in a Master Showdown.

Fine! Challenge accepted.

Don't worry, Ky. I've got this.

Statikor!

Lightning Blade!

[shouts]

[growl]

This is crazy.

How do we fight something that's made out of light?

It's like Master Baoddai always says:

the least winding path is usually the best one.

Sorry, but I don't follow.

Master Atoch's not that cryptic when giving advice.

It's simple.

We fight light with light itself.

[zaps]

Easier said than done.

Platinum Metanoid!

Reflecting Shard!

[rumbling and falling rocks]

[shouts]

No way!

Is that what I think it is?

It is! It's the Prism Kairu. It's real!

And it's solid.

Like a completely different form of the energy.

And now that we have it, nothing will stop me

from vanquishing Lokar and saving the world.

[thunderclaps]

Let the Showdown begin.

Palladion!

[explosion]

[roar]

Drakilar!

[screeches]

Vampiric Nightmare!

[struggling grunts]

What's the matter, old man?

A little rusty on the playing field?

Not at all, Lokar.

In fact, I'm feeling stronger than ever.

Solar Flare!

[growls]

You always were one to overestimate

your power, Baoddai.

And now I'll show everyone just how superior I truly am.

Shadow Warriors!

[groans]

Master Baoddai!

Finish him off, Master.

[grunts]

And now to turn you back to human form

and watch you drop from the sky.

No!

Lokar's Void!

Radikor Rage!

Lokar's Rage!

Platinum Fire!

Platinum Blade!

Platinum Fire Blade!

[explosions]

Sorry, Lokar.

But this ends here.

Platinum Strike!

[shrieks]

[explosion]

[low groan]

The Showdown is over!

Master Baoddai is the winner!

[cheers]

Both the Kairu Cube, and Drakilar are yours.

[whoosh]

Lokar: I may have lost the battle,

but a larger victory is still to to come.

For once I put my master plan into action,

there will be so much Shadow Kairu in the world,

you will be too weak to defeat me.

[zap]

[rumbling]

Ahhh! What's happening?

What is it, Master Baoddai?

Yeah. What's with all the rumbling?

The balance of light and dark is dramatically shifting.

All of the world's Pure Kairu is at once being transformed

into Shadow Kairu.

There's got to be something we can do, Boomer.

I wish. But without an antidote to Shadow Kairu,

we're completely helpless.

I'm afraid it is true.

Our time as Kairu warriors could very well be coming to an end.

[evil laugh]

Ky: No!

Our time as warriors has only just begun.

And our Kairu power has just gotten a whole lot stronger.

Ky!

Platinum Metanoid!

[roar]

[explosions]

[scream]

No way!

[cheering]

Way to go, Ky! You did it!

At last.

Our battle over Shadow Kairu has finally ended.

Indeed. And we are the victors.

And I couldn't be more proud of my son.

We will be victorious after we capture Lokar

and punish him for what he's done.

It is you who will be punished, Ky, for all that you've done.

This is only the beginning of the war for Kairu:

a war that I am intent on winning at any cost.

Lokar!

He's... he's gone.

Boomer: I still can't believe what Lokar tried to do

with Shadow Kairu.

It's just so evil.

Well, evil's kind of his thing, Boomer.

It is, indeed.

Which is why it's so very important that we find him.

I'd be happy to go look for Lokar, Master B.

Just say the word.

And I'd be happy to join him.

Now's not the time for quests, son.

Now is the time for rejoicing.

Mookee: That's right.

And nothing says "rejoice" like one of my tasty soufflés.

So, what are we celebrating, exactly?

Boomer and Maya totally rocking it at the tournament, for one.

And Ky totally rocking it with the Prism Kairu, for two.

Speaking of Prism Kairu, Master Baoddai,

what does this new energy mean for our futures?

The future is a murky swamp, Balistar, not a crystal stream.

Like I said, Master Atoch isn't nearly as cryptic

when giving advice.

He means that he has no idea what lies ahead.

As in absolutely anything is possible.

Whoa! Did you see that?

I saw it all right.

And it looked a lot like a ship from my home planet.

[whoosh]

[gasps]

Ky: When everything is on the line,

big attacks are needed for big enemies.

Boomer's Righteous Strike is the kind of combo attack

that really shuts down Shadow Monsters.

A Redakai like Baoddai has Solar Flare and Platinum Strike

to take out Drakilar!
