I'm Ky Stax, a Kairu Champion.

I race around the world seeking out Kairu.

Lokar has unleashed a dangerous Kairu: Shadow Kairu.

Shadow Kairu X-Drives contain powerful new attacks.

and monstrous warriors.

We must master both types of Kairu

to save the Earth from Lokar's Shadow.

My quest is to conquer the Kairu...

To one day become...

A Redakai!

♪ [eerie theme]

[pulsating crackling energy]

Team Stax will be coming for me and my Kairu soon.

But I will be ready.

And I will be merciless.

[evil laugh]

And then I transformed into Froztok

and hit her with a Deep Freeze attack.

It was beyond awesome.

And this is where it gets really good.

I pulled a multi-monster transformation

and went all sorts of Gold Metanoid on her.

Can you say bringin' down the Plasma Hammer?

KA-POW!

And just when it looked like it was all over,

I swooped in and took 'em both down.

And that's how I won the tournament

and became a Kairu Champion!

Fine. So the last part isn't true.

But a guy can dream, can't he?

Mookee: He sure can.

And my dream is to be in a tournament of my own some day.

Especially if I can win a Platinum Metanoid like Ky did.

What can I say?

As far as X-Drives go, it's definitely the coolest.

Connor: As exciting as Platinum Metanoid is, Ky,

it's no joke.

It's going to take a lot of time and patience to master.

Don't sweat it, Dad.

I've got it covered.

As happy as we all are about Ky's tournament win,

there are much more serious matters at hand.

Now that we know Lokar has mass quantities of Kairu

and plans on using it to attack us, we must act.

For if he succeeds, the entire planet

and the universe will be in danger.

So what's our move?

You must go to Lokar's lair.

I shall remain here to protect the monastery,

and our Kairu reserves within.

I'm not going to lie;

I'm definitely nervous about seeing Lokar again.

Especially now that I know he's my grandfather.
