When you can be intimate with someone without physical touch,

now that is real intimacy.

These older children are growing up way too fast.

Before I know it, they will be teens.

So, we need to have these conversations

so that they'll understand the appropriate way to act

when it comes to dating.

We have to get ahead of it. Like, now.

You know, y'all are far away from dating, actually.

But I got something we're gonna do this year.

So, the boys are gonna take Mommy out on a Valentines date,

-and then Poppy is gonna take the girls out. -I love that.

So that we can educate y'all on what dating consists of.

Our early days of dating,

it was moments where it was embarrassing

and it was a little awkward.

[Deon] When Karen and I first started dating,

I just remember thinking, you know,

"Wow, this woman is special."

'Cause she never has gas.

You know, she always seems to just be the perfect,

you know, just so poised and just, just--

but I had to run back in.

-[Deon] And it had a head on it. -Nah.

-[laughing] Really? -That means it smelled pretty bad.

Mommy and Poppy, where are you guys gonna go?

[Karen] So, I don't know what Mommy and Poppy is gonna do.

I mean, we just got a lot going on with the move and all, so.

We'll just be happy to enjoy this time with our babies.

You know, recently,

Karen and I have faced some challenging times within our marriage.

And it's very important for us to take the time

to make sure our spouse or each other feel appreciated and seen.

And especially when we're going through an extra amount of stress.

Right, it's very important. That's that communication.

We, we need that

so we can kinda update each other what's going on

and have conversations

so you can both be on the same page.

I mean, that's a good question.

I can't really give you an exact answer,

but just know Poppy is trying

to get us in that other house ASAP.

for all of my 14 children.

My contractor told me that he saw moisture in the wall.

At this point, I regret I ever told Karen

about having this house before it's ready.

It was not for sure worth it,

with the pressure and tension that's put

on Karen and our relationship.

that I already had to handle.

Black mold is a major health concern.

until the mold problem gets figured out.

I'm so frustrated right now.

This could throw us off at least three weeks, if not more.

[Deon] I had a budget for my repairs,

but the way things is going,

this budget is quickly dwindling.

Karen been texting, asking for updates

because she can't figure out why is it taking so long,

why is there so many issues.

But I have not told her all the issues

because that's more pressure, that's more--

You know, although Karen and I

are working on proper communication in our relationship,

I don't want to tell Karen about any new problems

that will lead to further delays,

that will also lead to pissing her off.

It seems like as close as we get,

it moves further back.

the girl's Valentine's Day date with Poppy.

My mom did not talk to me about dating.

Her rule was, "Don't bring a baby home."

So, I didn't get serious with anyone

because it was always in the back of my mind.

But now, have 14 children.

[Karen] My expectations for my daughters is that

is that they will have high self-esteem within themselves,

to not feel like a man has to validate them.

It was very, very hot in the garage in the summertime.

So today, I'm getting my boys ready and fresh

for their Valentine's Day with Mommy.

Y'all can't look bad going out with Mommy,

because when I went out with Mommy

for the first time, I was tight.

For me, growing up being in a barbershop,

the camaraderie that we shared,

I want to give that to my boys,

and this is my opportunity to give it my way.

-Your mama so-- -[Deon] Wait, hold on.

Cause y'all all have the same mama,

-y'all better not say nothing about my mama. -[boys laughing]

Smack talk, sports and talking about women,

that's a common conversation that you're gonna hear

in every barbershop.

Well, I'm a free agent.

I don't really have nobody right now. Right now.

I don't know, kind of like, people who enjoy watching sports

or like someone who just likes to work out.

It's very important that I educate my boys

that y'all are being respected.

If he's a gentleman, he smells good,

he takes care of the bill,

he has a close relationship with his family,

you know, all of that stuff.

so like, you want to be a good listener.

You know, mommy always loved hugs,

and I would just give her just, I would hold her.

I wouldn't just hug her, I would hold her.

And I'll never forget one time,

I had picked her up from the airport,

it was late at night,

but she was disappointed because I forgot to hug her.

And he pulled over on the side of the road,

I'm like, why'd we pull over?

I done forgot I just complained

that he didn't give me a hug.

He got out the truck, he walked around,

he opened up my door, he helped me out,

and he gave me a hug right there on the side of the road.

-That was nice. -Very nice and sweet.

That was what really got mommy, you know,

when I stopped and gave her that hug.

You listened to her, you paid attention to her.

Very good, yes, man, you're getting it, yes.

You know, sometimes the keys of life

has always been a woman hug.

Poppy gave it to her, and she was happy.

[Denver] In that case, Mommy needed it.

So today I am taking 13 of my 14 children

to get some teeth cleaning.

Thank God I was able to bring GG there to help.

And thank God there's a dentist out there

that is catering to our busy schedule.

This is amazing.

I've never had one family fill my waiting room.

-[laughing] -I don't even know how you handle this.

We don't often get families as big as the Derricos.

We do have some families in the six or seven kid range,

which is pretty big, but never in the 14.

So that's a first for Smile Reef.

[Karen] Come here, Dior.

So it started with him because his gums were sore.

Oh wow, yeah, that is a little bit inflamed back there.

[Karen] Yes.

[Dr. Jensen] We're gonna have to get an x-ray of that.

[Dr. Jensen] Do you guys know what a sugar bug is?

So when the food gets stuck in your teeth,

they go in and eat it, and then they make acid.

And that's what kind of eats through your teeth

and makes little holes in your teeth.

So to try to protect your teeth,

we wanna make sure that you're brushing good

and brush the sugar bugs off your teeth.

Babies, y'all go in front.

Getting 13 children's teeth clean

takes a whole lot of coordination.

You're gonna go over to one of those

Getting them situated, figuring out

where GG and I need to be for support.

You're gonna sit in this green chair, okay, sweetie?

And doing our best to make the process

as smooth as possible.

All right, so looking down here, we can see

that we're getting a little bit of a shark tooth problem here,

so this tooth is actually dissolving pretty good,

-but this one's not. -[Karen] Oh, wow.

[Dr. Jensen] So we call it shark teeth

because the teeth go in behind,

and you get a layer of teeth.

Let me see, open real big for me, bud.

So right down in here, you can see

those two teeth coming in.

-[Karen] Yeah. -Open real big for me. Ah.

Oh, my gosh.

[Karen] What's going on?

[Dr. Jensen] He has extra teeth.

So you're only supposed to have four bottom ones,

but he has one, two, three, four, five.

Instead of taking out two, we'll take out three.

Rule number one as a parent,

you do not let your children see

that you're freaking out.

In my mind, I am so freaked out

because we had no idea we was gonna come

and have teeth pulled today, let alone three.

And I hope that this procedure goes completely easy,

painless, because if this goes wrong,

this can definitely scar him for life

as far as going to the dentist.

[Dr. Jensen] So what do you think about losing your teeth today?

[Karen] Mommy's right here.

[Dr. Jensen] All right, you ready?

[Dr. Jensen] All right, can you stay like a statue for me?

We're gonna make a car wash in your mouth.

[Karen laughs] Ooh, he's got that giggle.

Dior has three teeth on the bottom

that has to be extracted.

This is probably why Dior was in so much discomfort.

[Dr. Jensen] What about that, does that hurt?

[Dior speaking]

[Dr. Jensen] Okay, so we're pulling that one out.

-[gasps] One's out. -[Karen gasps]

-[nurse] Good job. -It's out, Dior!

[Dr. Jensen] Open big, ah.

[Dr. Jensen] All right, how did that feel?

I absolutely hate to see any of my children in pain.

So I'm so glad the dentist was able to make my baby

feel so much better.

All right, buddy, here's your teeth.

Keep them in here and then you can put them

under your pillow tonight, okay?

You were the best patients ever.

[Karen] Derrico hasn't updated me on the house yet.

I've been asking him, I'm in the bed before he gets home.

So I'll just send a text and be like,

"Hey, what's going on with the house?

Let me know."

And... it's like, I'm just left on read.

Derrico and I, we talk about everything.

We communicate everything.

We update each other on everything.

So the lack of communication is really,

The electric issue that I had is gone.

It was very, very minimal.

The remediation company, they were able to come out,

take care of the black mold issue.

It was a very small area, so they were able to get it rectified,

but there's still so much more that has to be done.

And I'm paying the mortgage, of course, here,

the mortgage at our other house. That needs to end

on top of all the things that I'm having to to do

to do the seams that keep coming up with this house.

Every time I talk about it, it gets me stressed. Yeah.
