when 31-year-old Londre Sylvester is released

from Cook County Jail.

He's just spent a week behind bars

for violating terms of a 2020 felony gun case.

[ Sirens wailing ]

-When I first met Dre was at a party.

He was a cool dude just trying to get money

and take care of his family.

-You could feel the temperament quick from them.

You know, you speak on the phone with him,

he act like he knew you already.

He was a good guy.

-Oh, can't even with that shit.

-Landry exits and heads for his car.

As he begins to walk down the steps,

two cars pull up from opposite directions.

Bullets fly,

executing Landry just feet from the jailhouse steps.

-Another person shot at 2600 South California.

45. Male. Shot victim who was just released.

-Police say a man who was apparently ambushed

after being released from Cook County Jail in Chicago

was shot about 64 times.

31-year-old Londre Sylvester died.

-In Chicago, they got these things called switches.

They make a regular handgun go off real fast.

So some guys ride down the block and get to shooting.

-This was a very public execution,

very disrespectful, very nasty.

He was dead almost immediately.

-First of all, I don't control the jail or 26th Street.

But of course, we're very focused on what happened there.

And detectives are actively at work identifying suspects.

-How can this happen,

being right here outside of this county,

where there's sheriffs and police everywhere?

-But Londre Sylvester wasn't an ordinary citizen.

He was KTS Dre,

one of Chicago's most notorious gangsters.

Word spreads like wildfire.

-It came right through my DMs on Instagram.

People sending me clips like, "Oh, my God, look, he died."

And for some reason, the streets know about it

right before the news know.

-Dre is well known to police.

He's been to prison four times since 2010,

three for weapons charges.

-KTS Dre had been in and out of jail for quite a few years.

He was reportedly involved in

a lot of violent street activity.

He probably was going to be a very dangerous factor

once he got out of jail.

-KTS Dre is the founding member of the Cutthroats gang,

a faction of one of Chicago's oldest,

most ruthless gangs, the Gangster Disciples.

-Chicago gang culture has changed massively

over the last few decades.

It really is deep and familial and territorial at this stage.

-You know, it's a culture of no talking.

Nobody finna talk to the police.

Ain't nobody finna get on no stand and testify for you.

You gon' lose your life,

and everybody's gon' live they life normal.

-Sometimes the people that you love

could get you entangled in some shit

that you really don't even got nothing to do with,

and now you signed up for it for life.

-Dre's tribe is one of the most powerful

Gangster Disciple families to ever come out of Chicago.

Along with his younger brother, Davon Davis,

aka KTS Von, the two set gang life on a course

that would last decades.

But it didn't start out that way.

In the mid-sixties,

13-year-old Larry "The King" Hoover founded

what would become the GDs in Inglewood,

one of the poorest sections of Chicago.

-It was just put together by a group

of 11 to 13-year-old boys

that would protect the Black community in Inglewood

and northern Hyde Park.

It was from the White gangs in the neighborhood,

and then also protection from some of the police

that didn't want them there.

-They're called the Disciples

because when they originally formed in 1958,

they chose it from the Bible -- like Disciples in the Bible.

-Hoover sets up the Disciples to run like the Italian Mafia.

-We was emulating Al Capone now,

even to the point of putting a flower in our lapel.

-But in 1973, Hoover trips up and goes down.

-He was a drug dealer, and he did commit murder.

He killed an individual that allegedly had stolen from him --

stolen drugs on the inside.

-The Gangster Disciples, or GDs, multiplied.

Hoover forms an unholy alliance

with a White supremacist gang to do it.

-The Simon City Royals were a White gang

that needed protection in prison.

This is in the 1970s.

-The Royals have something Hoover's street soldiers need --

guns.

-A deal was struck with the Gangster Disciples

and the Simon City Royals,

where that the Royals will get protection in prison,

and the Gangster Disciples would get firearms on the street.

-On the outside, Chicago's gangs had

a street code -- no selling crack cocaine.

The GDs saw an opening.

-One of the biggest well-known rackets in later years

was crack cocaine.

They controlled the entire crack cocaine operation

on the whole South Side of Chicago,

when other groups forbid it.

-The goal, to gain money and power

to pump it back into the GDs by extorting local crime peddlers

and taking over the drug trade.

-There was storefront protection offered for a fee,

and with the Gangster Disciple protection on the business,

the business would be fully protected.

-By the late '90s,

the Gangster Disciples had gone from a street gang

to a criminal empire,

moving tens of millions of dollars a year.

-According to the FBI,

the Gangster Disciples have already set up

new gang franchises in 150 cities across the country.

They target cities with access to the interstate highways,

which give them an easy way to transport drugs.

-But with Hoover and other OGs incarcerated,

the gang structure falls apart.

-I'd say, in this day and age, gangs like Gangster Disciples,

they are sort of old organizations.

If a person is a part of Gangster Disciples now,

that's like going to an old high school

or working for an old department store or something like that.

There is a legacy to it.

But now you have "Lord of the Flies."

-By 2010,

the Gangster Disciples start to break apart

into smaller groups or cliques.

-In more current years, the clique name comes first.

That's the first thing spoken.

The Gangster Disciple name is often not even spoken first,

or sometimes not even spoken at all,

although these men are actually legitimate members

of the Gangster Disciples.

-In the chaos, one clique starts to rise

as an enemy of the state.

They're called the Cutthroats, aka KTS for Kill to Survive.

-Got no gang shit future.

-KTS on beat, man. -Gang shit.

-You gotta put it like a tree.

Gangster Disciples is the entire tree,

and then KTS is just a different branch.

-Kill to Survive --

everybody feel like that out here, man.

Living out here in what they call Chiraq,

[chuckles] the level we was on,

you got to kill to survive out here.

-Real niggas ain't out here.

-Dre and Von live in Lakeside, in southeast Chicago,

ground zero of KTS territory.

But before they're even born, their father, Big Vinnie,

is putting in work on the streets

as a respected gang member.

-Vincent Davis, or Vinnie, was a respected figure in the streets

and raised his boys to kind of be hardened gangsters.

-Being involved in the streets is, like, hereditary.

It's all supposed to get, like, passed down to you.

You typically get involved in something

that your relatives related or people

that was older than you related, based on the area you're from.

-At an early age,

Dre and KTS Von begin putting in work.

-KTS Dre, he didn't seem like that much of a big guy,

but he had some muscle on him.

He got what we call county muscles.

Like, you know, he just --

whatever he do, when he go to jail, he just do push ups,

eat noodles, bread, peanut butter,

and that's how you put that weight on.

So he wasn't that tall of a guy,

but I'd say Dre was intimidating if you're on a dark street.

-Meanwhile, Von, aka Devon Davis,

an honor roll student,

became known as someone who could turn on a dime.

-Hell yeah. He was known as the Boogeyman.

Shit, I ain't play with Von.

Von had a reputation as being very aggressive.

-Together, they commit to KTS

and ink the gang's signature crosshair tattoo on their necks,

along with the words "shoot to kill."

-I think tattooing a crosshair on your neck

is quite literally in every sense of the word,

putting a target on yourself.

The guys put a target on their neck,

and no one would dare shoot it.

-Von and Dre wore their gang membership on their sleeves.

It was a part of their credibility.

It's a part of their family. It's a part of being known.

-Dre and Von quickly rise through the ranks,

but with the infamy came enemies.

♪♪

KTS's rivals, or opps,

are a gang called the No Limit Muskegon Boys,

aka NLMB, one of the biggest

and most dangerous cliques in Chicago.

-No Limit Muskegon Boys are a gang

that are mostly southeast side set.

They are the main sort of rivals for KTS's set.

-No Limit formed in the power vacuum left after Jeff Fort,

one of Chicago's most hardcore gang leaders,

goes down on a domestic terrorism charge.

-Jeff Fort, he actually ended up going to prison

for apparently collaborating

with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi

to commit domestic terrorism.

-While KTS ruled the Lakeside and Pocket Town areas,

No Limit ran the southeast part of Chicago, called Terror Town.

-Terror Town is divided into two sections.

You got the side that's, this is the No Limit,

which is close toward the 79th side.

And then you got our side, which is 75th and the 74th, 73rd side.

We're just on two different opposite sides of the fence.

-These neighborhoods are very close to each other.

A lot of killings,

a lot of murders between these neighborhoods.

-No Limit was led by a hardcore gangster named G Herbo.

For G Herbo, No Limit is under constant attack

and surrounded by enemies.

-For me, Chicago is a city full of hate,

so you gotta deal with that day to day.

And that's another part about, you know what I'm saying,

staying on your Ps and Qs, cause people hate on you

that you don't even know. so you gotta always,

you know what I'm saying,

be cautious and just pay attention to what's going on.

Like, I'm always aware of my surroundings,

'cause Chicago a big, hateful city.

And I know there's people that hate me

that I don't even know.

-These groups were essentially going at war

in the streets of Chicago.

-For G Herbo, KTS Von, and KTS Dre,

the hate runs deep.

-You know, when you at war here, even in the streets,

it's a war.

You come get one of mine

and make me feel that pain of losing a loved one,

I gotta return the favor. That's how it is.

The cycle will never be broke

because there ain't no way to break it.

-KTS and No Limit territories are about a block apart,

and when the gangs cross paths, it's war.

Dre and Von have no problem setting it off.

But in 2012, they'd be the first to film themselves doing it.

-So KTS Dre and KTS Von essentially created

a series called "No Lackin,"

and they would film themselves walking

into their rival enemy's territory.

-"Lacking" means not having your gun with you --

not being prepared when it's show time.

You know it's a war,

and you should always have your gun with you

if you in that life.

-They were just filming themselves on,

you know, what I can only assume would have been

an old flip phone back then, filming themselves

going into rival territory,

you know, intimidating people on the street,

asking where they could find their enemies.

-Look at them guys in that white truck, they see us.

-Y'all know who the...that is.

-All in all, KTS Von and Dre

would create three videos under the "No Lackin" series.

That series would officially put KTS on the map...

-We walking the thing.

-No bang, bang, guns go blap, bitch.

-Guns go blap!

-...And include one of the most violent,

seminal moments in gangland, all caught on tape.

-And you can tell a serious situation's about to emerge.

You know, before you know it, everyone's outside.

You can hear gunshots going off and, uh, people screaming, well.

-Two members of the Gangster Disciples clique,

KTS Von and Dre,

are gaining street cred by going into enemy territory

with cameras in tow.

-They on there telling you who they are

and what they gon' to do

and where they're from and who they fight.

You ain't got to wonder who it is.

They telling you who they are.

-You saw them accosting random people off of the street

in these areas where their enemies are

and asking them who got shot last week.

It's pretty outrageous what they were willing to do.

-Hey, what's this? Is this Terror Town?

-This Terror Town? Wait. Say it again. Where we at?

-Oh. Hold on. -Hey, wait, wait, wait.

-I first heard of KTS Dre through the "No Lackin" video.

I remember exactly where I was at,

that's how prolific it was.

Man, I was shocked by the amount of balls

they had, for one, to be walking down the neighborhood.

-The "No Lackin" series became a nightmare for enemies,

No Limit.

-Even if somebody just say anything disrespectful,

in the eyes of gangbangers,

you most definitely supposed to retaliate

because it all goes back to pride.

-Your heard not just our pride,

but the whole gang, the whole neighborhood,

and that's just how it go.

-But that kind of notoriety can get you killed in Chicago.

-He'd been going back and forth

with a lot of his enemies on social media,

so he was a marked man.

to new heights.

And as the videos pile up, the enemies line up.

-But it's not until the third video of the "No Lackin" series

when Chicago's gangland explodes.

It's simply called "No Lackin Part 3,"

and it would go down as one

of the most infamous videos in gang history.

There go the Cutthroats.

Posto, Dre, pulling out that fast shit.

If you leave them out there for a couple seconds,

they ain't shit.

-Dre, Von, and they're number two,

a KTS member named Posto, are seen walking down the block,

deep in No Limit territory.

-Everybody's gon' get your ass here.

-The video pans up to a McDonald's ahead.

It's where they're heading.

-So, in the video, you know, KTS Von and Dre,

along with a bunch of other people

who they're familiar with, including a guy called Posto,

you actually see him on the video

before they go into the McDonald's saying

that he wants to shoot them.

He says, "Bring them outside and I'll shoot them."

[ Sirens wailing, people shouting ]

-He's gon' kill 'em.

♪♪

-He ends up killing him, huh? -That's right.

-Inside are No Limit members caught completely off guard.

-Trying to get some McDonalds? Waiting on your order?

Y'all good? These are no males, man.

These are no males. Man, why you back there?

-Oh, my God. -Where you going?

-We ain't no talk. We all good.

-Where you going? -Sup? Y'all good?

[ All shouting ]

-KTS Dre corners a No Limit teenager named Cairo.

-Say it. -Hey.

-Ain't no unzipping nothing.

-Roc was a No Limit member

who was gunned down eight months earlier.

-You know, Roc, that's a respected member.

That's one of their respected members.

That's one of their homies.

So he was willing to lose his life in that McDonald's

before he said, "...Roc."

-Ain't no unzipping nothing.

-What he said. -Don't be scared, lil bro.

Don't be scared, lil bro.

Oh, shit! Damn, bro. -What the...?

-He done broke your jaw, lil bro.

-He stays solid,

doesn't say what they're saying

and gets punched right in the face.

The rumor was afterwards that they broke his jaw.

-At that moment,

a No Limit member named Moody emerges from the men's room

with something allegedly tucked into his hoodie.

-Before you know it,

one of the guys is coming out of the bathroom with,

you know, looks like something tucked into his hoodie,

and you can tell a serious situation's about to emerge.

-Came all tucked up.

-Get out of my...face!

-Von and Posto make a beeline out the door,

knowing No Limit's going for their guns.

-I want this to make the news.

Do what y'all gonna do, man.

Let's go. -Hey, man, Cutthroats KTS.

-It was seen as a massive sign of disrespect.

You know, before you know it, everyone's outside.

[ All shouting ]

-No. Hey, man, my niggas out here.

[ All shouting ]

-Hey, what up? Hey? Hey, what's up?

-No. -Come on!

-Ballsy, man.

[ Man shouting ]

-Then the video turns to terror.

-[ Shouting indistinctly ] -Oh!

[ All shouting ]

-Posto takes a bullet in the arm.

♪♪

[ Man shouts ]

The video ends abruptly.

"No Lackin Part 3" is seen around the world,

and the incident sets off a wave of retaliation

between the crews.

-I remember seeing that video on my old Android phone

I think I probably got through Cricket,

and I was just shocked by just the brazen --

I was shocked by the amount of balls

they had, for one, to be walking down the neighborhood.

-You know, in the culture, it's a such thing as disrespect,

then it's over disrespect. Once you do that,

you gon' probably have to look down your back forever.

-No one could know that in just a few years,

several members seen on the video would be dead.

-I don't believe he thought he was going to live

past a certain age.

He was just living in the moment and it was all street shit.

-A violent face off between a Gangster Disciple clique

and its archenemy kicks off a decade of deadly payback.

-We saw KTS Von and Dre

confronting a young group of rival gang members

from the No Limit crew inside of a McDonald's,

essentially on the border between their

two opposing neighborhoods.

-These are no males, man. These are no males.

-And this video in the McDonald's

was kind of seen as an inciting incident

between these two groups.

-Ain't no unzipping nothing.

-If you put your finger on me, you gon' die.

-These fingertips touching my body, you gonna lose your life.

And that's how a lot of people handle that out there.

-Before long, gangs across Chicago

start posting the gangbanging life online.

-They're using technology to communicate with each other.

They're using technology to provoke each other.

They're are a lot smarter than I think a lot of people

give them credit for.

-By 2013, that gives birth to a new genre

of music called drill rap.

-Drill rap isn't an inner city secret anymore.

It's like watching real life street struggles as soap operas.

-Based on the effect that Chicago had on drill music,

they might look at us like the core of the virus.

-Dre and Von see dollar signs, and KTS Von gets to work.

-KTS Von was most definitely the bread and butter

to get them in a situation

that could have put the whole KTS group

in a more financial situation.

-Von creates a hand sign,

one that would become the mark of KTS.

-KTS had a signature that they most definitely invented

that hit the whole city like a wildfire,

and that was this.

And the main reason they had it is because they'll have

something on their hand -- a tattoo that was

either disrespectful to the opps,

it could be a target sign,

or something just promoting violence.

-But in late 2013,

another earthquake rattled Chicago gangland.

No Limit head G Herbo's rap career explodes

and takes him off the streets of Chicago.

-♪ Remember y'all kids sleeping on the floor and shit ♪

♪ I mean, enormous, big bucks... ♪

-One guy is getting famous, getting rich.

He eating gluten free cereal.

He got designer robes on. He living in mansions and shit.

You know, you can't get to him. He rich. He famous.

That shit irritating.

-To gangland, G Herbo is untouchable.

But to his enemies, there's someone who isn't --

his best friend and number two, Kobe Herring.

Kobe was there the night Von and Dre

filmed their "No Lackin Part 3" video at McDonald's.

After a night of partying with G Herbo,

who's in town, Kobe walks home alone around 4 a.m...

As he passes the same McDonald's from the "No Lackin" video,

a car suddenly pulls up and opens fire.

Kobe's shot multiple times.

G Herbo and Kairo,

the same teenager assaulted by KTS Dre months earlier,

run to find Kobe's body lying in the street.

Dre and Von take to social media and rip Kobe apart.

-Von claims to be smoking Kobe,

a term of disrespect for smoking murdered enemies like weed.

-Sparking Kobe, bro.

-Smoking on Kobe. Dead ass.

Hit Kobe. We're all smoking today.

-Things go from bad to worse.

Von drops a song called "Kobe"

and threatens to smoke G Herbo on the track.

-"Kobe" racks up close to 300,000 views.

-Overnight, you become famous as hell in this.

You not Drake, you not 50 Cent.

You don't change your life.

You don't got Navy Seal bodyguards.

They started going to that same corner store,

getting them loose cigarettes, you know,

buying your chips and all kind of shit.

You're going to get killed at that corner store.

-But as time goes on, the street starts to talk.

KTS Von is going off the rails.

Stories surface that he's killed at least a dozen opps for fun,

and KTS Von earns a new name --

the Hitman of Chiraq.

-And Von, oh, my God.

Von rolled past a couple of people's death sites

when he allegedly was the killer.

So when the police was there cleaning everything up,

he was riding past couple times.

Like, "I love the smell of good kill" type shit.

-Who dead now? Who the hell dead now?

What the...?

-That May, gangland strikes again.

In an alleyway, an unknown killer catches

an opp named Fearro taking out the trash.

Fearro is hit eight times.

His case is still unsolved.

KTS Von trolls him on Instagram,

calling him "Fried Face."

By late 2013, Von, Dre and the Cutthroat Gang

think they're untouchable,

but they're surrounded by enemies,

and that November, a Cutthroat would be cut down.

After Von and Dre. KTS member Tyshawn Anderson,

aka Posto, is number three on No Limit's most wanted list.

Posto had been caught on camera invading McDonald's

in the "No Lackin" video.

-I ain't gonna tell y'all who he is,

just know he backed down. ...you talking about?

-To No Limit, with Kobe gone, Posto must go too.

On November 23rd, 2013,

Posto was cornered in an apartment hallway

in South Chicago.

He'd been out of jail just five days.

No Limit takes a victory lap after Posto's murder.

G Herbo tears him apart.

In his famous track, "Computers Freestyle,"

G Herbo raps that he smokes Posto.

The track receives 32 million views.

-After Posto's death,

No Limit takes disrespect to new heights

after reports surface of a shocking video in a cemetery.

-Hey, burn, let's all DNA on you, bitch.

-There was a piece of footage floating around where

it was claimed that No Limit affiliates were in a graveyard

actually defiling a headstone.

It's unclear what they actually did in that graveyard

and who they did it to.

Some have claimed that it was the headstone of Posto.

-Shit. Oh, shit. -Oh, shit. Holy shit.

-Shit on Posto! -Shit.

...your graveyard. [ Laughter ]

-It just goes to show you, you know,

the lengths that these guys will go to to disrespect each other.

-KTS Von and Dre go on the attack.

-Old boy, no lackin', boy, no matter where you're at, boy.

Not on STL, nowhere. Don't want to get --

Don't want to go cold. -Posto gang, man.

We're gon' tea it up.

-Von, he was about getting vengeance for his friends

that had passed away.

-But this time, it's KTS Von who will pay the price.

-And he's still right here rapping.

Lost a lot of weight, he was so emaciated.

-By 2014, between 50 and 90,000 Gangster Disciples are pulling

in well over $100 million a year in heroin, cocaine, and meth.

But on Chicago's East Side,

a powerful clique of the GDs is eating itself alive.

-All my killers out here.

After months of catching enemies lackin',

its Cutthroat Gang member KTS Von's turn to feel the pain.

While walking in his own neighborhood,

a car pulls up to Von and pumps him full of bullets,

hitting him close to the heart.

Von spends several weeks in the hospital

and, for the first time, is vulnerable.

-He had lost a lot of weight and become very skinny,

and I think that said a lot about his character,

that he was very resilient.

He wasn't scared of kind of showing some

of the consequences of this lifestyle he was living.

-But just days out of the hospital,

KTS Von would lock in the first big hit

of his rap career.

In 2015, Von drops street life.

-♪ I led a street life, I led a street life ♪

♪ If I didn't kill for Posto, it wouldn't be right ♪

-In the video,

he's seen cooking crack on a stove

with his freshly-patched gunshot wound.

-When I seen him over the stove cooking crack --

he was cooking crack for real in that video,

and he had the patch on his rib,

the first thing that came to my mind,

like my eyes squinted, I was like, "Ooh.

Just imagine the shit that's getting...up in his body."

Like, he's still right here rapping.

Lost a lot of weight. He was so emaciated.

I'm like, he dedicated to this.

-"Street Life" gets 2 million views

and puts KTS Von on the path to superstardom.

-As far as KTS Von, like, I watched all his videos.

I watched him get better and better with his craft.

He was turning into the artist.

-As Von begins to go from the streets into the studio,

rumors surfaced that he's doing the one thing

a KTS member should never do --

KTS Von starts to walk the streets unarmed.

A few months later, Von would go on to drop

the biggest song and music video of his rap career.

He writes a track that becomes KTS's anthem, "Kill to Survive."

But in the video, he and KTS Dre do something

that rocks southside Chicago.

Von stands next to someone wearing a hoodie

listing the names of his dead enemies,

including key members of No Limit.

Three names on the hoodie -- Roc, Fearro, and Kobe.

Gangland explodes.

-So it's like, say, for instance, right,

somebody done killed my cousin.

And then I get on the Internet and it's a guy,

you know, he making songs,

talking about...my cousin and all kinds of shit like that,

you know, this gon' get bigger than it is.

The social media turned a regular fight into a massacre.

-It seems as though there's no end to the war

between KTS and No Limit.

But there's an end to everything.

-All my killers out here. -...No Limit.

-On June 22nd, 2015, Von exchanges threats

with a No Limit gang member on Instagram.

No one would know then

that KTS Von had just 24 hours to live.

-Ironically, it's sad, really,

that you've got these two sides at war for all these years,

but essentially, they were going through the same things,

inflicting this loss on each other.

These feuds run so deep,

decades long, it's hard to really see an end in sight.

-In the final days of KTS Von's life,

he posts a video of him down at the shores of Lake Michigan.

♪♪

-Ahh, bitch, look what I got.

-That afternoon, Von leaves his friend's home around 1 p.m.

and walks down the block in their neighborhood alone.

Suddenly, a black sedan pulls up and opens fire.

KTS Von is found on the pavement

by his father, Big Vinnie.

-Poor thug, they still had him layin on the hot,

hundred-something degree ground.

Coroners took almost probably two hours

to pull up to come get the boy.

Tempers flaring, everybody emotional.

It was a sad day.

-Von was apparently on his own at the time,

which was kind of surprising for a lot of people

that had followed him.

He had been quite big on this "no lacking" reputation.

-Hey, boy, no lackin', boy, no matter where you at.

Don't want to go cold. -I'm with the thugs.

-They pretty much were following him.

They was watching them.

And you would think that somebody of just his caliber

would have a gun on him. But he didn't.

That's called getting too comfortable in your element.

-Von's body lies under a white sheet

on the sidewalk for hours

while investigators work the scene.

They find close to 29 millimeter shells.

-You know, in some ways,

Von was kind of the director of his own movie.

You know, he was filming himself after other people.

It's not unthinkable

that someone might catch him in the end.

It's a tragedy story at the end of the day.

And, you know, there's the rumors that Von was,

you know, he was drinking.

He was this. I can't verify that.

But I heard the saying rumors.

-The day after Von's murder,

No Limit would ominously tweet "Y'all Lackin We Lurkin"

as they celebrate KTS Von's death.

-He was a feared and hated figure in the Chicago scene,

and it's unsurprising that people on the other side

were really pleased at what happened.

-His case is still unsolved.

-There's been a lot of intense speculation

over who might have had something

to do with the killing of Von. Nobody has ever faced trial.

-With KTS Von gone,

some say KTS Dre had no other option but to retaliate.

-If you call the police, then you a snitch. You a bitch.

You really forced to live by that code once you start.

Because now what KTS Dre supposed to do?

I know who killed my brother, Von.

And I'm just gon' let the police solve it,

or I'm just gon' tell, give them little clues and hints?

-It's a mystery whether Dre ever avenged

his brother's murder.

Shortly after his death, Dre is arrested by authorities

for possession of a loaded weapon in his car.

While he's incarcerated, Dre receives another crushing blow.

On July 28th, 2016, Von and Dre's stepfather,

Big Vinnie Davis, an OG gangster,

is shot and killed while sitting in a car

on the 6600 block of Chicago.

In 2018, Dre is released from jail,

having lost both his brother and his father

in a year's worth of time.

But the walls were closing in.

-These guys be beefing with everybody.

These guys got 50-hundred enemies.

Hell yeah. You'd be a target out here.

-According to police reports, in August 2019,

No Limit gang member Kenneth Summers,

aka No Limit Magic, is shot and killed in a drive by.

At the time of this airing, his case is unsolved.

Some say KTS Dre was a suspect.

No one really knows.

Only one thing is certain --

Summers has become another victim of Chicago's gang wars.

Some say Dre knew he didn't have long to live.

-I don't believe he thought he was going to live

past a certain age.

He didn't have life insurance.

He wasn't thinking about putting money away for kids.

He was just living in the moment,

and it was all street shit.

-It's a strange situation.

The thing that made him a celebrity and well-known to,

you know, thousands of people

was also destroying him just a little bit.

-So imagine how KTS Dre felt when he lost Von.

Little did he know,

that was the start of almost the whole bloodline being gone.

-On April 27th, 2020,

Dre is cuffed again for possession of a firearm

and resisting arrest.

-I'm-a talk to you in a minute, okay?

-While on house arrest before heading back

to Cook County Jail,

he goes live to respond to those asking

if he'll ever leave Chicago's gangland.

-Talking about am I in a wreck?

Nigga, I just have court, nigga, in Cook County today, nigga.

Sooner than, nigga. Sooner than later, y'all.

I'm tired of this shit. Come take me out of this shit

because I can't take no more.

-In June, Dre is sent back to Cook County Jail

for violating his bond on the 2020 felony gun charge,

but is eligible for release with a $5,000 deposit

on a $50,000 bail in July.

-Dre locked up, everybody in the city

know he locked up. He's like a famous drill rapper,

even though he's not rapping at the time.

Everybody know he locked up.

Everybody know he in there.

-In his last moments on earth, Londre Sylvester leaves

the Cook County Jail and takes his last breath of freedom

before heading towards the car.

-That's clearly a setup.

You know, they were sitting out there.

You might have just walked out right now,

but they were sitting there maybe an hour or two hours,

three hours, four hours, five hours.

They wasn't missing the chance to get you to walk up out

of there, you know.

-Some wonder whether KTS Dre's death was a professional hit.

-Man, you know how it happened. You're talking about

60-something shots hit this man?

I don't care if the guy had a switch on it

To me, that sound kind of professional.

-And I know for a fact whoever did that hit,

they knew that if they didn't get him,

they know how he was finna come.

-Three years pass, and police are no closer

to solving the murder of KTS Dre.

-Some believe it's already been handled.

-Londre Sylvester's death is the greatest example

of what can happen when the street life turns against you.

-I think a lot of people did look at this moment

when KTS Dre was killed,

it was almost like an end of a chapter as far as this feud

that had been going on.

A lot of people would say that when Dre passed away,

too, it was the end of an era

in Chicago kind of drill and street folklore.
