I'm Ky: Leader of Team Stax.
As Kairu warriors,
only we can save Earth from the evil forces of Lokar.
The Kairu we find unlocks new X-drives,
which give us powerful attacks
and the ability to transform into incredible monsters.
Those who can master the Kairu can become all-powerful Redakai.
My name is Ky.
I am a Kairu warrior.
My quest is to conquer the Kairu!
[frightened gasp]
[gasp]
Students, please gather for today's training exercise.
Gathered and ready, Master Baoddai.
[sigh]
Uh, what do you think you're doing there, Mookee?
Training to be a Kairu warrior.
And this is my signature monster...
Turtletron.
Turtletron?
You're, um, joking, right?
Warriors don't joke during training sessions, Maya.
Now behold my signature move: Sonic Shell Attack.
Yaaa!
Aaaah!
Guess my warrior suit needs some adjustments.
I'll be back.
[laughter]
Students, focus.
Today's training lesson is most important.
Do not rely on vision alone.
Things are often not what they seem.
Sense the Kairu energy.
Ha. There it is!
Oh, it is so on.
Huh?
Get back here.
Don't be scad, little energy ball.
I'm not going to hurt you.
OK, team, on the count of three, we jump on it.
One, two...
[explosion]
As I said, young warriors,
things are rarely as they appear.
In that case, time for Metanoid.
[battle theme]
Harrier is right there with you, Ky.
Chemaster!
[music stops]
Chemaster!
Boomer, what is it?
I don't know.
It's like I can barely feel the Kairu inside of me.
I'm detecting something.
A severe disturbance in the world's Kairu energy.
You must find out what is happening immediately.
All right, we're on it.
But, Master B., what about Boomer?
Yeah.
What do we do about his little problem?
No worries.
Turtletron is back and ready to take his place.
I mean, ready to help out any way I can.
Just perform to the best of your abilities.
I'm sure Boomer's situation is only temporary.
No worries, buddy; you'll be fine.
Probably just ate too much last night.
You must protect the stone at all costs.
Nothing and no one shall disturb
its most important purpose.
Do you understand?
Yes, Master.
[evil laugh]
[panting]
Boomer: Uh, guys?
Loving Southern Mexico and all,
but I swear we passed this spot already.
Maya: You're right, Boomer; we're walking in circles.
Well, we'd better figure out where we're headed fast
'cause we need to discover what it is
that's disturbing the world's Kairu.
Ky: Speaking of disturbing, the Radikor are in town.
The race is officially on.
Hey, wait up.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh.
Ky!
[screams]
Well, that was fun.
Boomer: No way!
Check that out.
Ky: Whoa!
Giant, freaky, stone head alert.
It's an ancient Olmec statue.
Meant to represent a great leader.
Oh. And it's giving off some serious energy.
Well, what're we waiting for?
Let's go introduce ourselves.
Boomer: Good idea.
Only how do we get across this bottomless pit?
Hmm.
I hope no one here's afraid of heights.
Only a few more steps,
then Mr. Rickety Rope Bridge is history.
[explosion]
The only thing that's going to be history is you!
Now! Who's ready for a Kairu challenge?
Boomer: It's a good thing we're on this bridge.
You three might actually have a chance.
Challenge accepted.
[wind whistles]
[cracking thunder]
Metanoid. Jet Jump!
[roar]
Harrier. Sniper Sight!
[roar]
Chemaster. Corrosive Crush!
[roar]
Bruticon. Anti-Matter Sword!
[roar]
Cyonis. Lightning Strike!
Silverbaxx.
Boulder Punch!
Boulder Punch!
[crashing]
Sniper Sight!
[high-pitched whine]
[explosion]
Aaaah!
Good try, Maya.
But not good enough to take us out.
Lightning Strike attack!
Jet Jump!
[clattering]
Boomer: Ha ha ha!
Way to out-think 'em, Ky.
Awww!
My turn.
Corrosive Crush!
Huh?
Oh, great. It's happening again.
Zayne: Bzzt. Time's up!
And now for your parting gift: Anti-Matter Sword Attack!
Aaaaaaaaaaaahhh.
Ky: Quick. Grab hold of the bridge.
[grunts]
Huh?
C'mon guys! Let's climb up!
[clattering]
Don't worry; we've got Kairu energy on our side.
[whoosh]
[explosions]
Ahhhh!
[grunts]
They should be doing face plants
into the chasm right now.
Not climbing to freedom!
Whatever. Let's move out fast.
Before the humans find Lokar's prize possession.
Come on, guys.
Whoa. It's like everything's rotting
...in fast-motion.
I hear ya, Boom, but I can't sense anything.
I don't get it.
This has never happened before.
OK. This does not look good.
[frightened whimper]
Don't be afraid.
This is Boomer and that's Maya.
My name is Ky.
We're here to help you.
Can you tell us what the problem is exactly?
I am Olma.
The village seer.
We have angered our ruler.
And now he is stealing the life-force
of everything around us.
So when did all this weird stuff start happening?
Yesterday.
It began with the plants.
Then we began to feel weak.
And the ground began to tremble.
[rumbling and frightened screams]
[crumbling rock and screams]
Plasma Energy Blast!
[roar]
I don't get it; I can't get the attack I want to work.
[rumbling]
[roar]
[explosion]
[scream]
Whew. That was way closer than I wanted it to be.
Maya: So not only is this place being sapped of Kairu energy,
so are we!
First Boomer, then me, and now Ky.
What in the universe could possibly do such a thing?
The Cataclysm Stone.
It's a fragment of the planet that Lokar destroyed
during the Great Kairu Cataclysm.
It has the power to absorb all of the Kairu energy
in the universe.
And you know about this how?
Some of us actually enjoy reading, Boomer.
So, let me get this straight:
if Lokar somehow got a hold of this stone,
he could become all-powerful and unstoppable?
I'm afraid so.
Then we'd better start looking for it.
It must be somewhere out there.
I have a better idea.
Why not let the Kairu find the Stone for us?
[gasp]
It went into the statue!
Follow me.
I can take you.
Olma: Here he is: Our most sacred leader.
And now I must go back and check on my people.
Wouldn't you'd rather hang out and see me...
I mean us in action?
Sorry, Ky.
I must check on my people.
Boomer: Now, if I were a Cataclysm Stone,
where would I hide?
[gasp]
There it is!
If we want to help these people and restore order
to the world's Kairu, we have to destroy it.
Zayne: You're going to have to get through us first,
'cause that stone doesn't move without a fight.
Oh, I get it.
You're here because Lokar sent you on a baby-sitting mission.
Enough messing around.
I challenge you to a Kairu battle.
Guys, I don't think I have enough energy to do battle.
Me neither.
I feel nearly tapped out.
Hey, these guys can't even accept the challenge.
This is going to be easier than I thought.
Maya: Get us out of here right now!
Zayne: Tell you what.
I'll let you out if you join my team, Maya.
On second thought, this quicksand feels pretty good.
Don't you guys get it?
The world as we know it is about to end
and it has everything to do with that stone.
Wrong.
Your world's about to end.
And the stone's got nothing to do with it.
Enjoy your mud bath.
[laughter]
Maya: If anyone's got an idea how to get us out of here,
I'd love to hear it.
Yeah, me too.
Especially since I weigh the most
and I am sinking the fastest.
Hey, maybe we can use the draining Kairu energy
to our advantage.
Kairu energy is present in all things, right?
Well, that includes quicksand.
Maya: So?
Once its energy is gone, the quicksand will dry up
and we can climb out.
We just need to wait until it happens.
Boomer: Hopefully, it'll happen soon.
[cracking]
[roar]
Good thinking, Ky!
Way to connect to the Kairu!
What can I say?
I have a special gift.
Is it me or was that climb much harder
the second time around?
Techris: Maybe the humans were right.
Maybe that stone is bad news.
We will do as our Master instructed us
and protect the Stone no matter what.
Understand?
Olma: You must leave our village at once.
Before you anger our ruler even more.
Sorry to disappoint you.
But we only take orders from Lokar.
[battle cry]
[screams]
[explosion]
Hey, why don't you pick on someone your own size?
If I saw someone my size, I would.
But you losers will have to do.
Don't be so sure.
You see, the stone Lokar has you guarding
is actually sucking the energy out of you
and everything else in the universe, as we speak.
Oh please!
You don't really expect us to believe that?
Believe what you want.
You'll see we're telling the truth soon enough.
And when Lokar gets what he wants,
he'll be all-powerful and won't need you three anymore.
No more talking.
It's time for battle.
Kairu Challenge.
Challenge accepted.
[battle theme]
[thunder]
Bruticon!
[rumbling]
Huh?
[roar]
You doing all right there, Zayne?
I'm fine!
My speeding Anti Matter Saw should do the trick
against these slowpokes.
[roar]
[scream]
[roar]
Silverbaxx!
[roar]
Cyonis!
[music stops]
It's not working.
Something's wrong!
And you're just figuring this out?
What have we been telling you?
Lokar sacrificed you for his own gain.
You should be less worried about us
and more about yourselves.
Shock Wave attack!
Misfire!
I think they're almost as weak as we are.
Then maybe we have a fighting chance.
Metanoid!
[roar]
[roar]
[explosion]
Shock Wave!
Whooooaaaa!
Nice!
Now that the Radikors are out of commission,
we need to bust that Stone once and for all.
Agreed.
But I'm not sure we have the strength
to do much damage to it.
Degeneration attack!
[roar]
[explosion]
[roar]
Watch what you're doing, Zayne.
You're going to mess up Lokar's stone!
Leave it!
First, I want to get rid of Ky and Team Staxx for good.
What are they doing out there?
Looks like they're planning an attack.
And I'm not sure I have enough Kairu left to counter it.
Boomer and I still have traces of Kairu left in us.
What if we share our monsters and Kairu energy with you, Ky?
Then I might be strong enough to fight back
against these creeps.
It's worth a try.
[groan]
It worked!
I feel the surge of Kairu!
Maya: Use it well.
[roar]
We've got to hit those three with everything we've got!
You got it.
Done.
Anti Matter Saw!
Froztok!
Blizzard Axes!
[roar]
Aaaaaaaah!
Shock Wave attack!
Lightning Strike attack!
Not so fast.
Harrier!
Screech Whirlwind attack!
[whistling wind]
Aaaaaaahhhhhh.
Ha! We did it!
We beat them!
True.
But until we destroy the Cataclysm Stone,
we haven't really won anything.
And the clock is ticking.
Game over.
You're going to have to be the one to tell Lokar about this.
Forget about it!
You're the ones who are too weak to fight.
You tell him.
You're the only one who stands a chance, bro.
You up for it?
Oh, I'm up all right.
Freeze Ray attack!
Your attack neutralized the stone.
And now I'm going to make it wish it was never born.
Or at least try and reverse the effects.
Plasma Eyes!
[joyful cries]
Ha ha ha!
Mission accomplished!
We'd better take this baby back to Master Baoddai
for safe keeping.
And even though we don't get to collect any Kairu,
we saved the world...
which is definitely cooler.
We cannot thank you enough.
Our leader is most pleased.
Glad we could help out, Olma.
In fact, any time you need future saving,
feel free to call me.
[chirping birds]
I am happy to share that the balance of Kairu energy
has been restored to the universe.
There's just one thing I can't figure out:
where the ball of Kairu energy
I used for the earlier training exercise went.
I... I don't have a clue.
Haven't seen the thing.
Mookee: Hey, maybe it's up here!
Careful there, Mookee.
I don't think that suit's built for climb--
[grunts]
Ah. Help! I can't get up!
Don't worry, Mookee, when one of us is weak,
the others always step in to lend a hand.
Whoa! Ah. Help!
Somebody stop this thing!
You heard him.
Time to lend a hand.
[laughter]
[sigh]
Ky: The Sonic Shell attack might still be in development,
but Lokar's Cataclysm Stone works just fine.
The Radikor seemed to be ahead,
but I was able to borrow some extras from my friends
and get enough power to save the day!
