Last 30 years, I've been carrying the passion.

- Me and Brian met in college.

We had the same car.

We really hit it off,

and we've been best friends ever since.

We got into animated Christmas lights.

We put on Christmas light displays

using thousands of synchronized lights to music.

From there, we started doing pyrotechnics and fireworks.

- Yeah, that's a natural progression.

- Preston's always coming up with some harebrained ideas.

And we just love doing big things.

- Yeah.

- And so drone shows, this is kind of the next step.

- You know, the very first test show

we ever did was six drones.

And we were just ecstatic.

We're like, look at how those are moving together.

And to go from that to 50 drones

to go to 100 drones,

and now, tonight, we have we're at 1,000 drones.

It's just so mind-blowing.

- This has been a wild journey from the time

when Preston and I were in college,

computer-animating Christmas lights.

I never thought it would come to this.

I love merging technology with art
