โ [Narrator] Next on Acapulco Heat, the world's wealthiest
families are the target of an international ring
of terrorists.
โ These are very bad boys.
They murder people.
โ [Narrator] But when Brett goes undercover
protection becomes passion.
โ [Brett] I never met anybody like this before.
โ Do your job or I'm pulling you off the mission.
โ [Crony] When do we take him?
โ Tomorrow.
โ [Narrator] Now the Heat team must strike
to save a mission in jeopardy, on the next Acapulco H. E. A. T.
(upbeat music)
โช I feel the heat, yeah
โช Hey
โช I feel the heat
โช I feel the heat
โช Hot, hot, hot
โช Sweat, whipping down my spine
โช Making me crazy
โช Wet, fingers touching mine making me hazy
โช Out on the street, I feel the heat
โช Running inside me
โช Running, I feel the heat
โช Feel it inside me
โช Feel it running
โช I feel the oh
โช Can you feel it
โช Oh, oh, oh, oh
โช Deep, deep in your soul
โช Oh, oh, oh
โช Oh, whoa, whoa, feel that
โช Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
โช I feel the heat
โช Running inside me
โช Running, I feel the heat
โช Running inside me
โช Ah, yeah
โช Feel the heat, running inside me
โช Burning, burning, I feel the heat
โช โช Feel it inside me
โช Ah, ah, yeah
โช I feel the heat
(dramatic music)
(building exploding)
โ [Ashley] Sometimes even a major international crime
can't be solved without a lucky break.
A mysterious explosion provided the break
that was needed in a series of kidnappings.
โ [Mike] Any idea of what caused the explosion?
โ Not yet, but the Nicaraguan police believed
the warehouse was more than just a terrorist arms depot.
After firefighters put out the flames
the police removed a safe containing documents
linking the terrorist to an international kidnapping ring.
โ Jose Quevas, Brazil and Lewis Carbrera, Guatemala.
โ They're just two of the rich families whose children
were kidnapped.
The list goes on and on.
โ Did you identify the kidnappers from the documents?
โ No, but we found two false passports.
Unfortunately Interpol was unable to identify the men,
but the photos may be useful to you.
โ I don't recognize them, do you?
Then what about prints?
โ A couple of partials at the scene of the Chavez kidnapping
but Interpol couldn't ID them.
โ What do they want Heat to do?
โ Among the documents there was a list of potential victims.
The next name in line was the billionaire Derick Perkins.
โ The industrialist from Great Britain.
โ He and his son Paul are going on vacation
in the Caribbean, a ritzy little resort isle
called Port Angeline.
โ Well we'll need his full cooperation.
โ You've got it.
Claudio is a close friend of Perkins.
He's persuaded him to stash his son in a safe house
while Brett takes his place.
Derick Perkins believes that Brett
is a local police officer.
โ Do Brett and his son look alike?
โ Enough to fool the kidnappers.
โ Can I ask you a question?
โ Yeah.
โ Where do I find a woman?
โ Almost anywhere you look.
โ These are just girls.
I mean, a woman.
The woman.
โ Man I don't know about the woman,
don't ask me about the woman.
โ Come on, you found Krissie.
โ Krissie and I are just friends.
โ Oh come on man, stop pulling my chain.
(laughing)
โ Dead serious?
โ [Brett] Dead serious.
โ Just between you and me?
โ Just between you and me.
โ Krissie and I, oh man, we just found each other.
And if you're going to ask me how, don't ask me
because I don't know how.
But maybe if you stop looking so hard
you might find what you're looking for.
โ All right troop listen up.
Brett is already in route to meet Perkins.
Ashley here is going to spell out all the details.
โ Krissie go ahead an punch out the Perkins goal post.
Father Derick, son Paul, daughter Danielle.
She's older now and goes to school in Paris.
โ Where's Mrs. Perkins?
โ She died 10 years ago.
And what we hear, Mr. Perkins isn't too well either.
Krissie, let's take a look at our two methods.
โ Excuse me, but they might not look like this any more.
โ Correct, that's why we need their fingerprints
so we can get a positive ID.
โ We do know that they're using the ransom money
to fund their terrorist activities and that the last
three kidnappings all happened at resort hotels.
โ We've also determined that there was an inside man
on each one of the kidnappings so we pulled all
the employee ID photos from the Port Angeline Hotel.
โ Here's a coincidence.
This man was hired as the lounge manager two months ago.
โ One month after Perkins had made his reservations.
โ So what's our cover going to be?
โ Claudio and I arranged for several of
the hotel employees to be offered jobs they could not
refuse at what of his other hotels.
โ Oh, so I guess we have to work as well as play watch dog?
โ Yes Cat, work.
All except for madame Ashley here who's going
to be our local barfly in the natural.
โ Watch it you.
(laughing)
So far it seemed like just your ordinary
garden variety undercover operation.
Go in, steam the bad guys, get out.
While the rest of us moved to Port Angeline
to position ourselves at the hotel,
Brett had taken on the identity of Paul Perkins
and was flying in with Paul's father.
โ We've installed video cameras in the air vents
and live mics all over the room.
The suites also been wired with an alarm system
that will automatically go off if any one of
these doors or windows is forced.
It's very safe here.
(phone ringing)
โ Yeah?
Uhโhuh.
How much?
Buy two million shares.
(coughing)
โ Sir?
It's none of my business, but don't you think
you should take it easy?
I mean, we aren't supposed to be on vacation.
โ Tell that to my competitors.
Contrary to my doctor's opinion if I want to stay
ahead of the game I have to work harder than they do.
โ Yes sir, but you could still take a break now and then.
Hit the slopes as they say.
โ Skiing would be nice.
One playboy in the family is enough.
โ So I've heard.
Not a bad way to go.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or imply ...
โ There's no need to apologize.
If Paul is irresponsible it's because I've made him so.
When he was a boy he was very close to his mother.
After she died, well I tried to compensate
by giving him everything that he wanted.
Now he's out all hours.
Different girl every night.
Jumping from bar to bar.
No sign of him settling down.
โ I'm sure he'll grow out of that.
โ I hope so for his sake.
Playing the field is a wonderful thing
but it doesn't make you happy.
I know.
โ Well sir I should get changed and get down to the pool
if we're going to have any change of enticing
these kidnappers.
I shouldn't be long.
โ Man, talk about your full cycle in life,
you know what I'm saying?
โ At least you got to work in your old man's bar.
I had to moonlight in dumps where the cockroaches
were my best customers.
โ Yo, I need two big ladies, four whisky sours,
three manhattans, and two zingers.
Oh, and one musty nail.
โ You've got it sweetheart.
You ready amigo?
โ I'm always ready.
โ Whisky.
That a boy.
Come on.
(upbeat music)
One down.
Next.
And away we go.
Whisky.
(upbeat music)
Where's my limes?
Whoa.
What after that?
(upbeat music)
Keep that.
(clapping)
What can I get you there pretty lady?
โ I'd like a sex on the beach.
โ Would you now.
โ That is two parts gin, one part rum
and a dash of vodka, with a twist of orange peel.
โ I guess that would make anybody feel sexy.
Have you heard from Brett or Perkins?
โ In the suite.
We've got a pin on Brett.
We're getting every second.
โ Good, for once we can keep track on him.
Trouble's coming your way.
If you can drink it lady, I can fix it.
โ Is everything all right?
โ Who wants to know?
โ I'm Frank Madero, as manager it's my job
to make sure that customers are happy.
โ What a wonderful job, Lilah Hamlin.
โ There you go ma'am.
One sex on the beach.
โ Well, here's to hopes gentlemen.
โ Mr. Madero, could I get you to sign that form?
โ Yeah, of course.
โ Three cases of vodka coming in.
Thank you.
โ [Frank] Excuse me.
โ Those prints ought to be clear enough.
โ No problems here, just a bunch of guys and gals
hanging out on the beach.
โ [Mike] How's Brett doing?
โ I should be suffering like he is.
(kissing)
โ Oh, I'm sorry, spilled some.
Can't afford to do that now can we?
โ Oh don't believe him girls.
Paul Perkins can afford to spill as much champagne
as he wants to.
Isn't that right darling?
โ If you say so, miss.
โ What a darling just like Paulie.
One day he wants you to marry him
and the next he can't even remember your name.
So cute.
They're somewhat convinced.
Well Paul we're just going to have to show them.
(romantic music)
โ Oh wow.
I don't know what I did to deserve that
but tell me, I'll do it again.
โ Mmm, well you won't have to because that's
the last kiss you'll be getting from me.
โ What did I do?
Who are you?
โ I'm Danielle Perkins, your baby sister.
โ No you can't be.
I mean, you're supposed to be ...
โ In Paris, yeah, yeah I am.
So why don't you just tell me who you are
and why you're pretending to be my brother?
โ [Krissie] Mike, Ashley, this is Krissie in the van.
I hope you heard what's happening to Brett.
โ We've just got ourselves a whole new problem.
Now we've got to get her out of there before
she gets kidnapped and jeopardizes this whole mission.
โ Brett?
โ [Brett] Yeah, go ahead.
โ This is a need to know situation.
I want you to tell her enough so that she realizes how much
danger she's in and make sure she stays in her room
until we can get her out safely.
Krissie, how are you dong on the fingerprints?
โ I'm hooked up with Heat right now.
The prints match.
Okay, we've tied him in the Cuevas kidnapping.
โ Well it may not be enough to get him convicted
but it's a good start.
โ Okay, so what you're saying is people are trying
to kidnap Paul and you are going to take his place?
โ That's what I'm saying.
โ Oh.
You know you do kind of look like Paul,
just enough to be unattractive.
I don't know why you don't just let them kidnap him.
Probably be the best thing for him,
maybe he'd grow up a little.
โ Because these are very bad boys,
they murder people.
โ Oh, do they kill anybody in particular
or just whomever they want to cross?
โ Look these people don't care who they take,
Paul or you, it makes no difference to them.
They'll keep you alive only long enough
to get your father's money and then they'll kill you
or worse, but they won't ever let you go.
โ Are you trying to scare me?
โ Yes.
How am I doing?
โ Father, hi.
You look tired.
Come over, have a seat.
Do you want something, a brandy?
โ What I want is an explanation.
Why did you leave school?
โ Now don't be mad.
I talked to Dr. Sabin.
He said you weren't doing as well as you were letting on.
Why didn't you tell me?
I would have come sooner.
โ Because there's nothing to tell.
I'm tired, that's all.
I've been working hard and you two have met?
โ Yeah.
โ Yeah, a little while ago.
I was just telling Danielle Mr. Perkins
that she can't leave this suite until we can get her
under the same protection as her brother.
โ He's right Danielle.
Your brother's safe where he is.
โ And I'm not leaving here for any reason.
You can't make me.
Father I'm all grown up now, I'm not a little girl.
I can make my own decisions.
โ Then make the decision to leave while you still can.
โ Will you stop trying to scare me?
โ I'm trying to save your life.
Sir, you've got to make her understand.
I'm a cop.
It's my job to put my life on the line,
but if you let Danielle stay she may get hurt.
I can't guarantee her safety.
โ Well no one's asking you to guarantee anything.
โ You don't get it, do you?
We want them to grab me so that we can grab them.
I'm the bait, get it?
โ And I'm not leaving, get it?
โ Why are you two so hostile to each other?
โ We're not hostile.
You always said you loved me because I was determined
like you.
โ Well I do.
I wish your brother was as determined.
Then I would never have to worry about his future again.
โ I hope you guys are getting all this.
โ Looks like the lounge manager is definitely
our kidnapper.
We just don't know if he's going to take Danielle
or Brett.
โ My guess is Danielle.
โ Mine too.
โ Tell Brett to put a pen on her so we can keep track
of her location from the van.
โ He already tried.
Apparently she doesn't follow orders very well.
โ Krissie I need another rehearsal, do you mind?
โ Sure.
โ Careful.
โ Just relax, don't be nervous.
โ I'm not nervous.
โ It's perfectly natural to be nervous your first time.
โ I am not nervous.
โ It's nothing to be ashamed of.
โ Krissie.
โ See?
โ Will you play the music please?
(upbeat music)
โช Let me tell you bout the birds and the bees
โช And the flowers and the trees
โช And the moon up above
โช And the thing called love
โช Let me tell you bout the stars in the sky
โช And the girl and the guy
โช And the way that they kiss
โช On an a night like this
โ Krissie is handling his affairs.
She better make him her boy.
His name was Torres, a real psychopath.
Him and his cousin Pablo used to be hit men
and then does a drug cartel.
โ They had a falling out with the Mendoza's over money.
Then they went into another trade.
They kidnapped two teenage girls, collected the ransom,
and murdered them anyways.
โ Nice guys.
โ Yeah, real sweethearts.
โ So how does this effect our game plan?
โ Well now not only you're the bait,
but now you're Danielle's personal body guard.
โ Her body guard?
โ That's right and remember you're her brother.
โ Do not lose sight of her.
We'll do the same for you which means do not
use that pen.
Think of it as a compelling way to keep your pants on.
โ Cool it.
โ Lilah, so nice to see you again.
โ Frank, it's your fault.
You just made me feel so at home here
I had to come back.
(clapping)
(dramatic music)
โ Hey yo, name's Kelly man, how you doing?
โ Hi.
โ I'm the new bartender here.
How often do you make a pickup?
โ Whenever Mr. Madero calls me.
โ Is that right?
Well I'll tell ya, sure nice to know the hotel
cares about recycling.
Here, a little promotional deal I cooked up.
โ Thank you.
โ I'll see you later.
โ See you.
โ All right everybody listen up.
Pablo and Torres are about to make that move.
I planted the lighter so activate it.
Then check with intel records to see if there's been
any construction done on the store room, out.
โ Will do.
(humming)
โช Can't you feel me
โช Can't you feel my baby, my love is fine
โช Here I am boy, I'm whispering in your ear
โช That this love of mine, that this love of mine
โช That this love of mine, will be mine
โ Are you crazy?
I told you to stay in the room.
โ Nobody tells me what to do.
โช I need your toy boy
โช I'll bring you joy boy but where I'm sitting baby
โช I can see the door
(upbeat jazz music)
โช I couldn't get a good night's sleep
โช Thinking about last night
โช I guess I fell in love at first sight
โช Before I knew it there she was
โช Right in front of me
โช It all seemed to happen so naturally
โช All I want to tell her
โช Is that she make my life better
โช Maybe I should send her a simple love letter
โช I hope I'm not addicted
โช Her love was so convincing
โช It's strange how I feel
โช Everything seems so for real
โช There's no looking back once you get a love attack
โช Once somebody loves somebody desperately
โช Everything comes out so naturally
โ Hey, headed your way Cat.
Brett and his sister.
โ I've got them.
โ [Tommy] If he can resist this one
he's a bigger man than me.
โ The girl showing up is a lucky break.
โ Why?
โ She will be easier to grab than the son.
โ When do we take her?
โ Tomorrow.
โ A favor, por favor.
โ Take her, she's yours.
โ Gracias senor, gracias.
โ But then she dies, just like the brother.
That's good news.
Give me your gun cousin.
โ Sure.
Cell extra please.
Thank you.
The warehouse explosion.
The police say it was caused by a burning cigar.
โ Who could be so careless?
โ You my cousin.
(gun shooting)
โ Now, will you stay here where it's safe?
Where we can keep an eye on you?
Please?
Pretty please?
With sugar on it?
Don't, don't do that.
I'm a professional, I'm here to do a job,
and that's all I can think about right now okay?
Okay.
โ Please?
โ I can't do this.
โ Pretty please.
(romantic music)
Father, where were you?
โ I had to get some medication.
โ Danielle stick with him, okay?
โ I will.
โ Promise?
โ I promise.
โ Okay, I'll check back with you later.
โ How are you?
โ You let her get to you Brett.
She broke your concentration.
You can't let that happen again.
โ And you didn't miss one heart stopping minute of it
did you?
โ I turned off the monitor before it got too hot.
โ I'm sorry.
Thanks Cat.
โ De nada amigo.
So what about Torres?
โ I don't know.
I've been up and down the beach,
out at the marina, everywhere alone,
still no sign of him.
Not even a nibble.
โ Well maybe he's planning to take you inside the hotel.
โ Either that or he's seen Danielle
and he's not planning to take me at all.
Uhโoh, I got to go.
โ Hi.
โ You promised me.
โ Well I know but I ...
โ No buts, Danielle, you promised me.
How am I going to protect you if I can't trust you?
โ Come on, but the best way to protect me
is to not let me out of your sight.
โ Come on, I'm taking you back to your suite.
โ No, no.
โ Danielle.
Danielle, come here.
โ Oh, come on.
โ Come here.
โ What, you're not afraid of the water?
Come on.
Oh, oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, are you okay?
Are you okay?
(romantic music)
Hey, hey, what are you doing?
Oh no.
โ Give it a rest will you?
โ I'm going to go up and get a soda,
do you want anything?
โ Uh no.
โ Are you sure?
โ Yeah, just right there okay?
โ Just right there.
โ Okay.
โ I hope you don't mind some advice,
but the next time you go on a date,
I'd turn off this.
โ Oh, for crying out loud.
โ No, no, no, no, no, I'm sure the team loved it,
but I was thinking some of these things
should stay private, you know?
โ Tommy, what am I going to do with this girl?
โ From what I heard, you don't need no advice from me.
โ Oh man.
โ Frank, sit down.
โ My pleasure.
โ You know, it's not that I don't enjoy your company,
it's just that I didn't come all this way to sit at a bar.
I wanted adventure.
โ Yeah, I can see you're a woman who likes
to be spoiled.
โ Very observant.
โ Yeah.
But I won't be a lounge manager forever.
โ Oh really, come in some money lately?
โ Soon, very soon.
โ Interesting, perhaps I should postpone my departure.
โ Only for a couple of days.
Believe me, it will be worth your while.
โ Did she go back to the suite?
โ Yeah.
โ Is she going to stay there?
โ I don't know boss.
I told her to stay put.
I told her to stay away from me.
That being anywhere near me was too dangerous.
โ And what did she say?
โ She said, that she's in love with me.
I know, it sounds stupid.
โ No, that doesn't sound stupid,
but if you start forgetting what you're doing here,
somebody's going to get hurt.
โ I can't call control her Mike.
โ How can you control her, when you can't control yourself?
โ I know.
It's just I've never felt this way before.
I've never met anyone like her before.
โ Welcome to the club.
โ You don't understand.
โ You don't understand.
Let me tell you something, do you think you're
the first guy whose ever fallen in love before?
I'll tell ya, you're at the end of a very long line pal.
And I'll tell you something else, I've been in love
for years with the same woman and I've never ever
let her effect my job.
The job must come first.
Everything else is secondary.
Now pull yourself together, get back to the hotel,
and do your job or I'm going to take you right off
of this mission.
(dramatic music)
โ Mike?
โ What?
โ I checked out the hotel records and you are right,
they did do construction on their store room.
They repaired the wall adjoining toward his office.
โ Was the work order signed by Torres?
I mean, by Frank Madero?
โ How'd you know that?
โ Just a wild hunch.
That's interesting.
โ Yeah, you know what else is interesting?
โ What?
โ You know the lighter you planted on Alvarez?
โ Yeah.
โ It's been in the same location for hours.
โ You think he ditched it?
โ I don't know.
โ I'll check it out, okay?
โ [Ashley] We're waiting for Torres' next move.
Was he going to take Danielle or Brett?
It was anybody's guess at that point.
โ Danielle?
When I agreed to your staying on it was on
the condition that you stayed in your suite.
Brett has already told you that he can't protect you
if you set foot outside your room.
โ I know, but I was with him.
How much more protection do I need?
โ Are you sure you're not letting your feelings
cloud your judgment?
โ It's just that I've never felt this way before.
I don't understand it.
โ Well you haven't exactly been living in a convent.
โ I don't care about those boys like I care about Brett.
โ Loving somebody and knowing that they love you,
that's a big responsibility.
โ It's just with those other boys I didn't care
how they felt, I did whatever I wanted to
whether I hurt them or not.
But with Brett, it's different.
I don't want to hurt him.
It's confusing.
โ Well I think he's a nice guy too
and I'm happy for you.
But we're not on holiday here,
this is a very dangerous situation.
โ I know, I know, you're right.
I'll be fine.
I love you.
โ There you go Lilah, this one's on the house.
โ I think I figured out how Torres is going
to make the grab.
โ In his office out a hidden door in the storage room
and then out of the hotel in a recycling container.
โ As I was saying.
โ What do you think I've been doing here all this time?
โ You're unbelievable.
โ We found Alvarez's lighter.
It was buried along with his body.
He was shot.
We tipped off the local police and they're examining
the body.
โ I guess that puts us back to the drawing board.
โ Not necessarily, do you have the keys to the storage room?
โ Sure.
โ Tommy, meet us in the lounge now.
(dramatic music)
โ I know I'm not supposed to be here
but I really need to talk to Brett.
โ I'll see what I can do.
โ Thanks.
โ Thank you very much, thank you,
thank you very much indeed.
(dramatic music)
โ Danielle Perkins?
โ Yeah.
โ I'm afraid I've got bad news.
Your father's been taken to the hospital.
โ Oh no, no.
โ The doctor wants to talk to you, he's on the phone
in my office, will you come with me please?
Follow me, this way.
โ [Mike] And he thinks he's got her.
(dramatic music)
Okay it's showtime.
(dramatic music)
โ Come on, quick.
Hurry up you idiot.
โ Hey.
(gun shooting)
He's all yours Cat.
You can get up now Hamlet.
โ How'd I do?
โ You're the greatest actor that ever lived.
โ Really?
โ Get your stuff, let's go, come on.
(horn honking)
โ [Cat] We're in pursuit.
He stopped for a minute and picked up a couple
of guys.
We'll catch up with you.
(dramatic music)
โ Come on, hurry.
Move it, come on.
Move it.
(dramatic music)
โ Mike, we're down at the docks.
Torres and two of his guns are heading for
one of the boats.
โ [Mike] We're almost there, just don't let him
out of your sight.
(dramatic music)
โ Okay, put the box over there.
(tires screeching)
(dramatic music)
Open the box.
โ Surprise, sorry boys.
But no matter who's in the box it's still kidnapping.
You're busted.
โ Get him.
(guns shooting)
(dramatic music)
โ You all right buddy?
(coughing)
(grunting)
โ [Mr. Perkins] I can never thank you enough
for what you've done.
โ I'm just glad I could be able to help Mr. Perkins.
โ Don't you forget my friend, you're welcome
in my home any time.
โ Appreciate that sir.
โ I do believe there's someone waiting to say goodbye.
(romantic music)
โ Hey.
None of that.
โ No, I'm not crying.
I'm just afraid of losing you.
โ You're not losing me, we made a deal, remember?
I'm going to go back to work and you're going
to go back to school.
โ But you're gonna be here and I'm gonna be in Paris.
We're never going to see each other.
โ Sure we will.
I'll visit and we'll write all the time.
Huh?
Give me a smile.
That's my girl.
โ Brett, I ...
(romantic music)
โ I spoke to Perkins today.
โ How is he?
โ Better, it seems he took your advice
and spent a fort night without phones or faxes
at the Chalet in the Alps.
Guess you're never too old to listen is how he put it.
โ Sounds like Brett made an impression on more
than just the daughter.
โ So did the team.
Perkins has extended an open invitation to all of you
to visit him on the Riviera.
โ When do we pack our bags?
โ Who needs bags?
โ There's more, Perkins is funding a worldwide
antiโkidnapping organization.
Says he's willing to spend his last dollar
to stop men like Torres.
โ Good for him.
โ [Mr. Smith] And guess who's heading up the organization?
โ His son, Paul.
โ Good deduction Cat.
โ Before you get too impressed with Cat's psychic abilities,
Brett told us.
โ Danielle and I have been keeping in touch.
โ Don't tell me you're thinking of settling down?
โ What, my love life all you guys have to think about?
Why don't you get lives?
(laughing)
Maybe you should get out more.
โ On that note, I'll say good night.
โ This question is strange.
Three words to express a human emotion.
โ I love you.
โ I love you too, sweetheart.
โ Oh, yeah, ooh.
โ I'll get you.
โ That doesn't fit.
(laughing)
โ [Narrator] Next on Acapulco H. E. A. T. a renegade scientist
is conducting genetic experiments.
โ Every day you're redefining human limitations.
โ The man is practically bullet proof.
โ [Narrator] With a deadly goal.
โ Calpman is manufacturing super men to peddle
the terrorists.
โ [Narrator] Now the Heat team must raid
a secret laboratory to defeat a mad man who will
stop at nothing.
โ You've been playing God.
From what I can see you're way under qualified.
โ Kill.
โ [Narrator] On the next Acapulco H. E. A. T.
(upbeat music)
