‐ [Ashley] Sometimes even a major international crime

A mysterious explosion provided the break

that was needed in a series of kidnappings.

‐ [Mike] Any idea of what caused the explosion?

‐ Not yet, but the Nicaraguan police believed

the warehouse was more than just a terrorist arms depot.

After firefighters put out the flames

the police removed a safe containing documents

linking the terrorist to an international kidnapping ring.

‐ Jose Quevas, Brazil and Lewis Carbrera, Guatemala.

‐ They're just two of the rich families whose children

were kidnapped.

The list goes on and on.

‐ Did you identify the kidnappers from the documents?

‐ No, but we found two false passports.

Unfortunately Interpol was unable to identify the men,

but the photos may be useful to you.

‐ I don't recognize them, do you?

Then what about prints?

‐ A couple of partials at the scene of the Chavez kidnapping

but Interpol couldn't ID them.

‐ What do they want Heat to do?

‐ Among the documents there was a list of potential victims.

The next name in line was the billionaire Derick Perkins.

‐ The industrialist from Great Britain.

‐ He and his son Paul are going on vacation

in the Caribbean, a ritzy little resort isle

called Port Angeline.

‐ Well we'll need his full cooperation.

‐ You've got it.

Claudio is a close friend of Perkins.

He's persuaded him to stash his son in a safe house

while Brett takes his place.

Derick Perkins believes that Brett

is a local police officer.

‐ Do Brett and his son look alike?

‐ Enough to fool the kidnappers.

‐ Can I ask you a question?

‐ Yeah.

‐ Where do I find a woman?

‐ Almost anywhere you look.

‐ These are just girls.

She's older now and goes to school in Paris.

And what we hear, Mr. Perkins isn't too well either.

Krissie, let's take a look at our two methods.

‐ Excuse me, but they might not look like this any more.

‐ Correct, that's why we need their fingerprints

so we can get a positive ID.

‐ We do know that they're using the ransom money

to fund their terrorist activities and that the last

three kidnappings all happened at resort hotels.

‐ We've also determined that there was an inside man

on each one of the kidnappings so we pulled all

the employee ID photos from the Port Angeline Hotel.

‐ Here's a coincidence.

This man was hired as the lounge manager two months ago.

‐ One month after Perkins had made his reservations.

‐ So what's our cover going to be?

‐ Claudio and I arranged for several of

the hotel employees to be offered jobs they could not

refuse at what of his other hotels.

‐ Oh, so I guess we have to work as well as play watch dog?

‐ Yes Cat, work.

All except for madame Ashley here who's going

to be our local barfly in the natural.

So far it seemed like just your ordinary

garden variety undercover operation.

Go in, steam the bad guys, get out.

While the rest of us moved to Port Angeline

to position ourselves at the hotel,

Brett had taken on the identity of Paul Perkins

and was flying in with Paul's father.

‐ We've installed video cameras in the air vents

and live mics all over the room.

The suites also been wired with an alarm system

that will automatically go off if any one of

these doors or windows is forced.

It's very safe here.

(phone ringing)

But no matter who's in the box it's still kidnapping.
