near is a visual communication system
for Rescuers who enter the rubble to
receive instant guidance from remote
healthare professionals during post-
earthquake rescue
activities allowing the necessary Health
intervention for earthquake survivors
the inspiration behind the near concept
stemmed from the 2023 hati
earthquake we conducted interviews with
Rescuers Health Care Professionals and
volunteers involved in the rescue
operations gaining valuable insights
into their experiences and the rescue
procedures we discovered that there are
many volunteer Rescuers who are capable
of entering the rubble to rescue victims
however in many scenarios they lack the
necessary knowledge on how to properly
assist and approach those trapped under
the rubble in such cases Rescuers often
had to shout information between team
members making communication difficult
Rescuers struggle to accurately describe
the survivors condition while the the
team had trouble guiding The Rescuer
under the rubble with the near system
Rescuers can receive immediate guidance
from remotely working health
professionals on how to approach
earthquake survivors the health
professionals can instantly access a
visual data about the patient's
condition and direct The Rescuer with
instructions such
as check if they can move their neck
place the neck supporter and carry them
carefully outside
after the patient is removed from the
rubble if there are no Medical Teams
waiting outside the doctor and The
Rescuers initiate an examination
protocol to assess the survivor's
condition start the protocol and place
the screen projection where you find it
comfortable follow the guidance screen
along with my voice and we will examine
the survivor's body this procedure is
enhanced by the projected screen that
near offers with both Visual and audio
guidance they perform the initial
examination and apply necessary
interventions this simple two-minute
process can save lives while waiting for
the health teams to arrive now I will
present you the design system and the
product details of near that make this
process possible
