I feel like we have to dig
to get to the bottom of Skinwalker Ranch.
ERIK: Hey, guys. This thing's hopping all over the place.
Magnetic north has been shifted.
It's pointing toward where they're drilling.
The drill's having some kind of effect
on the magnetic field of the ranch.
-BRYANT: Look at that. -CASEY: That is some dark stuff.
I don't know what to make of that.
I got the data back from the analysis
on that interesting black stuff.
-Take a look. -TRAVIS: That's all the stuff
you would need to put together modern-day electronics.

THOMAS: All right, we got stuff crammed up in here.
Well, I guess, uh, we set up over close to the doorway.
Thomas, why don't you go ahead and, uh,
go in there to where the wellhead is
and, uh, get a clean spot
-and hook the wire to it. -Okay.
TRAVIS: After more than two months of new investigations
on Skinwalker Ranch,
we're finally starting to make possible connections
that might explain some of the bizarre phenomena
that keep happening here.
BRYANT: Oh, look at that.
TRAVIS: The highly conductive black material
we obtained last week
about 100 feet below the triangle area
where we've also seen a bunch of weird things, including UFOs,
was located right where a recent magnetometry survey
revealed a huge anomaly.
Well, that same survey showed another, similar feature
right here beneath Homestead Two.
We want to know if there could be some kind of connection
between the high strangeness we've seen
at both of these sites.
So, Erik and I have devised an experiment
to actually measure the conductivity,
where we're going to use the well pipe
and a conductor grounding rod,
separated by about 50 or 60 feet,
and we're gonna connect those to a wire
through a multimeter that will measure voltage and current,
and then that to a 12-volt car battery.
Now, the key here is that the circuit is open.
The only thing connecting them is dirt.
So, we've got that end connected to the ground wire
and that end is connected to the well.
TRAVIS: So, if the dirt is highly conductive,
then current should flow out of the battery,
through our measuring device, through the wire,
through the copper rod, through the dirt,
up through the well, back through the wire
and back to the battery.
If that's the case, that will tell us
how conductive the dirt is.
If we do measure a lot of conductivity
in the soil out here, do you think that would explain
some of the crazy feelings people have,
some of the instrumentation going haywire, stuff like that?
Uh-- Maybe.
But here's the thing that's missing: the battery.
-Right. -We'd have to figure out where the battery's coming from.
ERIK: Yeah, we don't know what would energize that phenomenon.
TRAVIS: There's still a power source somewhere
that we haven't figured out, but we're hoping this will
help us maybe get to that.
ERIK: I've wondered for a long time
whether there might be some kind of underground energy source.
Some people have expressed the belief that aliens
are somehow involved,
and we may be on to why a conjectured alien civilization
or some ancient Earth civilization
may have used the area as a power storage.
-Are we ready to do this? -TRAVIS: I'd say we are.
-Is that other end hooked up? All right, Erik. -BRYANT: Yep.
-TRAVIS: Hook it up. -All right, let's go.
-TRAVIS: There-- Look at that. Wow, significant. -BRYANT: Oh, wow.
-That's almost a third of an amp. -ERIK: I am...
-BRYANT: Wow. -TRAVIS: I was not expecting that.
-I was expecting it to be... -ERIK: No.
...barely one little digit move.
0.3 amps is flowing through
50, 60 feet of soil
here underneath us at Skinwalker Ranch at Homestead Two.
I've never seen anything like that.
There should be nothing. It should be billionths,
maybe even trillionths of an amp.
It's like we have a-a transmission line,
like a power line, running underground,
but everywhere underground.
-Mm-hmm. -And so, what does that mean?
It means if there's a power source or something
stimulates it, and electrical current is flowing
all everywhere under the ground,
and anywhere electric current flows,
a magnetic field is created.
All right.
Seeing how big that current is
makes me think I might be able to power a flashlight off of it.
-Oh, yeah. That's a great idea. -You have one?
So, I've got one back here in the,
-in the, uh, pelican case. -Nice.
It should be pretty easy to test this out.
So, I want to-- what I want to do is...

Oh, that was interesting.
-So that's connected directly to... -Oh, yeah.
This just beeped because you just disconnected the power.
-It was this. -Wait, what?
-THOMAS: That just went off? -ERIK: Yeah, just as
you disconnected that, this-this...
It set off the lightning meter.
-Yeah, now, that's interesting. -That is very interesting.
ERIK: When we took the battery out of the circuit,
the lightning detector would go off.
I don't think I have a good understanding
of why that happened.

TRAVIS: Wow.
-That is... -You're conducted...
You're conducting energy up through the ground
that's trigg-- that somehow is triggering that thing.
-What? -Wh-- That's repeatable. Look at that.
For Erik's lightning detector to go off during this experiment
not only verified that the ground here
at Homestead Two is strangely conductive
just like the triangle area, but also,
that we may have stimulated some kind of phenomena,
or as Thomas Winterton always says,
a "response" from the ranch.
BRYANT: There's enough current flowing
through the ground off of a 12-volt battery
to set the lightning detector off?
-ERIK: That's right. -THOMAS: This is crazy.
I'll tell you what we're seeing here is a phenomena
that I don't think a lot of people have a good grasp on.
I think this whole area is acting like a power supply,
and it's storing up power,
and then we're suddenly letting it go
when we disconnect it from the car battery.
And as it's draining out quickly...
-Mm-hmm. -...it looks like a lightning bolt.
It's like an energy reservoir here.
Where was the power coming from that went into the earth
that created that lightning discharge
that made Erik's meter go off?
I have no idea about that.
But maybe the same conductive material
we found beneath the triangle area
is also here under Homestead Two.
And if so, maybe this is leading us down a path
on how to find the answer.
-THOMAS: I want to see if the flashlight works. -Well, I...
-Well, hook it up. -I have a feeling it's gonna work.
TRAVIS: I-- With that much energy, we're still getting
more than a quarter of an amp.
ERIK: Well, let's see what we get when we hook this up.
TRAVIS: Oh. Well, it hardly seems possible.
We've got this giant resistor, or whatever the ground is,
of 50-something feet
that, uh, that we're running electricity through.
We're using the earth as part of our electrical circuit grid.
BRYANT: I was really surprised to see
how much current can actually flow through the ground here.
That's pretty crazy, and that shows us that this soil
really is highly conductive
and can even possibly store energy.
Is it possible there could be a power source somewhere
under the ranch or above the ranch somehow connecting?
Maybe that's why Skinwalker Ranch is the area
of so many UFO sightings and so many of these events.
Maybe.
TRAVIS: Thomas's question about UFO phenomena seemed
a lot less far-fetched to me today
than when I first came to the ranch last year.
I don't know if the cause of these energy spikes
is from something below the ground
or from something high above like we've also seen
at the triangle area, so I thought what we needed next
was to conduct an even more aggressive experiment.
We just saw when we put current into the ground
that we're seeing phenomena, right?
I think we've got to put power in the ground.
To see if we can stimulate whatever this phenomena is
and see if that phenomena shows itself.
So, how do you get enough power into the ground?
I think we install a Tesla coil
and we turn that thing on m-- uh, you know, high,
and maybe we can scan it across the frequencies that it works on
and it'll resonate with the surface and charge it up
and make it start ringing or do whatever it does.
What you're talking about is something
-on a much bigger scale. -Much larger scale.
BRYANT: Well, I think we should call Brandon
-and talk to him about it. -TRAVIS: Heck yeah.
I want to bring the biggest Tesla coil I can,
plug it into the ground and we might find
where the power source is.
CAMRERON: Energize.
-Oh, wow. -There's no way that coil
can produce that frequency.
BRYANT: We've invited Brandon out here on the ranch again
to discuss the results of the soil conductivity test.
We had electrical current transferring through the ground
for long ranges,
which is really, really strange.
It's good to have you back.
So, we feel like it's time to discuss with Brandon
-the game plan we put together... -Hey, guys.
...and get his blessing.
This is his ranch and I want to make sure
he knows what we're doing
and what the possible ramifications of what we do are.
BRANDON: Well, what do you have to show me?
We are discussing setting up
a very different kind of experiment.
It's something that Travis has suggested.
Well, so, we did-- We've done some experiments,
uh, down at Homestead Two, where we created a circuit
with a 12-volt car battery and put a flashlight
in the loop, and part of the circuit
was 70-something feet of dirt.
-Okay. -And the flashlight would still come on,
uh, with dirt as-- uh, being one of the-the "wires"
in the circuit.
BRANDON: Wow. For-for you to be able
to power a light bulb just by virtue
of plugging it into the land,
-that's extraordinary. -It is extraordinary.
And that led me to, uh, think about
how the dirt in the ranch is highly conductive
and might be working like a battery.
The ranch itself could be storing energy.
Because we actually disconnected the battery, right?
-Yep. -THOMAS: Yeah. That was the remarkable part.
BRANDON: Why?
Why would the land be conducting electricity like that?
TRAVIS: It's got something in it
that's, uh, layers of-of conduct--
more conductive soil than-than normal soil,
just like the materials that we found
in this sample underneath the ranch out at the triangle.
And if you got a conductive layer
and then a nonconductive layer, then another one and so on,
that's the way a battery looks
if you take a battery apart and look-look in it.
And the ground itself might be acting like a battery,
and it might be charging just due to weather
moving over the area.
Is this normal?
Is this something that you see,
-typically, in other locations? -No.
It's one thing for the soil to be conductive,
it's another thing for it to have the kind of structure
that Travis was talking about where you, actually, um,
by the arrangement of those conductors, can store energy.
-Mm-hmm. -Right. -Well, and power a light bulb,
-just through our land? -TRAVIS: Yeah.
It's very similar to the things
that, uh, Nikola Tesla wanted to do
to send power around the world through the earth.
Nikola Tesla was one of the most brilliant scientists
and inventors regarding electricity to ever live,
and as early as 1899 he began working on an experiment
in Colorado, attempting to figure out
how to provide power from America to Europe,
using large energy transmitters he invented called Tesla coils,
which had to be connected to the soil.
Although he was able to send energy underground
for miles, the ultimate goal of the experiment
was never achieved.
However, I believe that if he had been able to run
his experiment through the kind of weirdly conductive soil
that's here on Skinwalker Ranch, it just might have worked.
I-I think that there's something
specific about this area that's so highly conductive.
Wow.
You start thinking about this, maybe it would make more sense
as to why it could cause phenomena to take place.
And then what do they say? "Bad things happen when you dig."
TRAVIS: You stick something in the ground,
it'll trigger the thing to go off.
Erik's lightning meter goes off all the time,
especially when we're digging.
It could be charging and discharging it.
Now, if you wanted to get really,
y-you know, crazy with it,
you know, one of the m-more exotic explanations
would be like, well, if you were an advanced civilization,
you would see the Earth as a battery,
where's the best place to go recharge your cable in?
-BRANDON: Like a charging station. -TRAVIS: Yeah.
Just like electric car charging stations,
-but this is happening naturally. -Wow.
ERIK: It could be that what we're seeing
is part of the explanation
for things witnessed by folks who have lived here
or visited the property, including UFOs, UAPs,
and even the orb phenomenology
said to frequent the ranch.
You're speaking now to a very real,
tangible phenomena that you've discovered
here on the property.
Yeah.
BRANDON: The history of this property
is rich with high strangeness,
with all sorts of, uh, reports and anomalies.
Shortly after I acquired the ranch,
I began to see many of the same things
that people have reported going back not only decades,
but generations.
We've seen strange luminescent phenomena,
we've seen strange lights, uh, we've seen, you know,
sections of the mesa illuminated.
Just as the Shermans, who bought the property in the early '90s,
witnessed with their own eyes UFO activity
over the property, we have, surprisingly,
had the same experiences.
I can't deny it.
I've seen it with my own eyes with multiple witnesses.
I'd like to hear, you know, what you propose
the best course or path may be.
TRAVIS: So, what I would like to do, Brandon, is I would like
to call a colleague of mine and find the biggest Tesla coil
that I can find available
and energize the ranch as powerfully as I can.
Number one, to see how far away
we can, we can transmit energy across the ranch,
and also, maybe it would stimulate something.
You know, I'm most worried that you may unleash power
that you're not prepared to handle here on the property,
so I want to make sure that we take proper precautions.
It's definitely something we have to be very cautious about,
but Travis knows what he's doing, in this regard,
and I don't think any of us are gonna run willy-nilly
around here and take undue risks, so...
TRAVIS: If we reach a point
where we're seeing a phenomena, uh,
then that'll be where we realize,
"Okay, we need to back off and-and observe
and-and understand this before we really kick it too hard."
W-Well, I-I think it's both exciting and terrifying,
at the same time, and I hope you're all really prepared
for the potential risks associated with that.
I trust these three guys completely, and, uh,
and I know these two will carry it out, uh,
the way that it should be carried out.
And I know that if something goes wrong,
he'll keep us safe.
BRANDON: Okay. Travis, how soon can you do these experiments?
TRAVIS: Well, I've talked to a colleague of mine
and he's ready to bring some equipment out, like, now,
I mean, any day now.
So, uh, we're... right now we're looking at
the triangle area to do the experiment.
Now that we've determined that the soil at Homestead Two
is just as strangely conductive as it is at the triangle area,
I want to conduct a Tesla coil experiment
in the triangle for two reasons.
One, it doesn't have the tree cover,
so it's not as much of a fire hazard.
And two,
I'm really curious to see if sending
a lot of electricity into the ground
might stimulate phenomena either between or at both sites.
Maybe this experiment could finally help reveal just exactly
what it is we're dealing with on Skinwalker Ranch.
BRANDON: Well, I'm very interested
to see what kind of results come from this experiment.
So, proceed accordingly,
and, uh, be careful.
CAMERON: Now, one thing we need to keep
in mind here is the danger.
We're running this coil at a greater power
than I've ever ran it before.
I don't know what's gonna happen here.
TRAVIS: All right, let's fire this thing up, Cameron.

TRAVIS: Cameron Prince is a good buddy of mine
who's also an engineer and an expert on Nikola Tesla,
so I arranged with him
to bring some different-sized Tesla coils
out to the ranch so we could see what would happen
if we shot a lot of electricity into the ground
at the triangle area.
Now, if the ranch really does respond to being poked,
I wanted to see what might show up if we zapped it.
One of the things we've measured are weird radio
and microwave signals that we can't source,
and they bounce around.
And we've discovered an anomaly in the soil here
that we think we can stimulate with a Tesla coil.
Wow. You're speaking, like, energy of some sort?
TRAVIS: Yep, and it's really unusual.
I mean, that-that's the only way I can explain it, right?
Yeah, and that's-- I'm excited you're here,
because maybe this will help ease that confusion
and we'll be able to get some answers.

All right, well, uh, show us what you brought, man.

I know these guys can't wait to see it.
CAMERON: So, I brought four coils.
Two small ones that are actually solid-state.
And we can vary the frequency there,
so if this anomaly is sensitive to certain frequencies
or pulse rate,
we've got a lot of versatility to do different things.
The large coil stands about nine foot tall, and that's what
you see here with the-the big, uh, doughnut there.
That sits on top and that's what collects the energy
until it breaks out, you know,
when we start hitting the ground with it.
So, we're gonna dump a big bucket of energy
-on the ground. -That's exactly what we're gonna do.
Not just on the ground, in and through the ground.
CAMERON: Tesla was the creator of A.C. current,
which we use today,
but he wanted to do away with the wires
and actually transmit that energy wirelessly.
So the Tesla coil was created, uh, with that in mind.
So, a Tesla coil is an air core transformer
that takes A.C. voltage and boosts it up,
uh, to a very high degree in order to create the lightning.
So, what I'd like to do, guys-- I think we should, uh, load up,
cross through the triangle, and, uh, head that way.
-Sounds good. Perfect. -All right, man.
THOMAS: Bringing a Tesla coil on the ranch is a culmination
of hundreds of hours of experiments and research
and finding magnetic anomalies in the ground.
So, this is what we call the triangle.
THOMAS: The hope is by pumping all this energy into the ground,
one, we're gonna learn more about
the conductive properties here at the ranch,
and two, maybe we'll wake something up.
Well, so, uh, Cameron, then, why don't you just, uh, pull up
down there by that yellow flag and we'll start staging
-the equipment out. -Sounds good.

ERIK: It's like every other experiment that we perform.
We're not sure what to expect.
Maybe when we turn the device on,
we'll see something in the sky above.
Or maybe we'll measure something in the ground below.

TRAVIS: We're gonna be putting so much power through the ground,
if there's something underground,
it's bound to feed back into that.
-Okay. -And-and we might see something occur.
So, we might be interacting with something.
-That's what I'm hoping. -Okay.
TRAVIS: Because so many weird things tend to happen
at night on the ranch,
like the strange lights we've seen on the mesa
or the reports and evidence that we've experienced ourselves
of possible portals,
we thought it would be best to start our experiments
once the sun went down.
TRAVIS: All right, Cameron.
Uh, I think we've got all of our instruments set up.
This is the audio spectrum
that Erik's looking at on this screen.
We've got a different frequency antenna
set up here on a spectrum analyzer.
So, we're gonna be looking at all of these
different pieces of data while we're running this thing
and start kind of using that as a measurement
of the conductivity of the soil.
Okay. One thing we need to keep in mind here is the danger.
We're running this coil at a greater power
than I've ever ran it before.
We've-- We're talking about a more conductive ground
than I've ever worked with before.
So we've got to keep safety in mind.
-I don't know what's gonna happen here. -BRYANT: Yeah.
Pumping this much electricity into the ground
and into the atmosphere,
who knows what it could possibly stimulate.
So, hopefully we're prepared for whatever happens.
If something happens. We don't know.
Yeah, if a portal opens up over there, I'm going in it.
So, let's fire up the Tesla coil and let's see what happens.
Because of the potential danger of this experiment,
we decided to use the smaller coils first.
Now, I also stuck some fluorescent light bulbs
in the ground and handed some out to the team.
Since our bodies are natural conductors of electricity,
if we saw the bulbs light up, it would mean that the ground
was conducting current
and it would verify the experiment was working.
Then, it would just be a matter of seeing
what other things might happen.
All right, let's fire this thing up, Cameron.

that he can control with a solid-state box
that changes the tone and frequency of them.

TRAVIS: Hopefully, we can trigger whatever this phenomena
is by adjusting the output of the energy
that we're sending out.
(whoops) You can smell that ozone.
-CAMERON: (chuckles) That's it. -TRAVIS: All right.
Well, I say we go back and see what, uh, Erik saw
-on the instruments. -THOMAS: Okay.
All right, Erik. What'd you see?
If you want, you can take a look at this last

Well, that's smacking the bell...

I didn't see anything that I would call a response.
TRAVIS: Erik's detecting devices only registered
energy levels that appeared to have been produced
by the electricity coming out of the small Tesla coils.
So, the only thing I could think of to do next
was to up the ante.
Maybe we needed more power.
-CAMERON: More power. -ERIK: Okay.
Well, Cameron, I can't wait to see what happens
to that bigger coil when you pump it
with more power than you've ever done.
So, let's fire up the Tesla coil and let's see what happens.
-ERIK: Okay. -Let's rock and roll.
TRAVIS: It's possible we need an even bigger Tesla coil
firing at maximum power, and then hopefully
if there's a bigger power supply here somewhere,
it might stimulate it.
It might trigger some kind of communication signal
or a response.
And maybe it's something we can detect and locate.

spectrum analyzers and some of this different equipment,
I started seeing these strange signals coming back.
-KALEB: Hey, Travis! -TRAVIS: Yeah?
The whole noise floor is going up and down!
TRAVIS: Okay!
All right, bring it down, Cameron.
ERIK: So, what we're seeing over here
is-is that the noise floor is continuing to hop up and down.
-Really? -Yeah. Check it out. -Across the whole spectrum.
-Oh, wow, look at that. -Oh, that is nuts.
-KALEB: That just happened. -Whoa.
KALEB: That's the first time that happened.
-That was down at 400 kilohertz. -That is...
So, this entire thing has just been bouncing.
-Yeah, it's going crazy. Look at that. -Still going.
TRAVIS: The noise floor refers to
all the normal energy interference
you'd expect to see on the spectrum analyzer
coming from sources like our cell phones
or telephone lines or even camera equipment.
So, to see the spiking energy fluctuations continue
even after we shut the Tesla coil off,
well, that's evidence that a much bigger energy source
was being detected.
Oh, crap, look at that.
A few weeks ago, we witnessed something
very similar right after
we conducted an experiment at Homestead Two.
Somebody-- I mean, we're actively being
electronically attacked right there.
That is a transmitter somewhere doing that.
And then suddenly,
both Thomas and I started to feel sick.
Ugh. That was-- that was freaky weird.
Guys, I'm-I'm leaving the ranch. I'm getting a bad headache.
I'm dead serious.
TRAVIS: So, these sudden energy spikes
that were being detected by the spectrum analyzer
may very well have been evidence that we were stimulating
a response from something on the ranch.
But what that was, we had no idea.
At least not at that point.
There's no way that coil can produce that frequency.
It's-it's too high.
TRAVIS: The ground is somehow acting like
a transformer turning low-frequency, lower power
into higher-frequency, higher power.
-How is that possible? -(sighs, stammers)
It means there's a transformer under the ground or something.
CAMERON: We typically see
a very strong resonate frequency of the coil
and a couple of harmonics right near that,
but one thing that was really odd is we saw
a much higher frequency, up in the megahertz range,
far beyond what the coil normally produces.
You know, I can't explain this signal,
but it did seem to be affected or provoked
or started by the coil.
But here's the other thing: I can't keep
that quantum random number generator program up.
It continues to shut down on its own.
-Wow. -S-So, I don't know what's happening here.
This is unexpected because I've had no trouble
-whatsoever with this device. -Yeah.
But something's turning this off.
And it doesn't correlate necessarily
with turning this Tesla coil on.
Hmm. And you can't even get the software to come up
-and tell you what, uh... -Oh, it'll come up.
It'll come up for a short time, but then what happens
is this entire interface just shuts down.
I have tested that device to fly in space.
-Okay. -'Cause, I mean, I'm about to fly
four of them on a space station in December.
-And, uh... -S-So, that should lay that concern to rest right away.
That shouldn't be that.
ERIK: Some of our instruments have clearly been interfered with,
and I'm asking myself whether this is an indication
of stimulus and response.
Are we dealing with something that is technological?
Is there an other on the other side of the interaction?
We all want to know the answer to this.
I-I can't help wondering whether
either we've done something to tweak this device--
in other words, to damage it somehow...
-Right. -Or whether something more interesting
is shutting down and preventing me
from being able to use the device.
I was thinking about that, too. I mean, we're so focused
on these instruments, something may be happening around us.
These seem to be triggered by outside sources.
Yeah?
Could Erik be correct, that something
made our equipment just shut down,
and no longer be able to detect the strange energy signal?
I approach these experiments from a scientific perspective,
so if he's right,
then something with an intelligence
would have to be the culprit.
So, we did have two anomalies that we-we can't really explain,
and that's the fact that the signal from the Tesla coil
was amplified and transformed into a higher frequency.
That I can't explain.
And that quantum random number generator
quit working with this computer for some reason.
When it comes to Skinwalker Ranch,
there seems to be an intelligence to it.
Which, I've always said, you can't make this ranch
-tap-dance on command. -Yeah.
And our hope is by doing these projects
that we can stimulate it, that we can... But...
-Maybe communicate with it. -Maybe communicate with it.
But if there is an intelligence, it seems like
there's something about this triangle
it does not want messed with.
BRYANT: I don't know what it is, but it seems like
when we're doing big experiments on the ranch,
things happen to maybe thwart our efforts
or at least throw a wrench in things.
Without fail, we're gonna have some equipment that malfunctions
or things that are trying to stop us
from what we're doing.
Well, I mean, you've never seen anything like that
with the big Tesla coil?
Uh, no, not th-- I can't explain that.
Doesn't surprise me at all after being out here
doing research on the ranch for two summers now.
I don't know what else we can do here.
I'd like to go back and look at the data,

-TRAVIS: Yeah. -That is really violent.
TRAVIS: Yeah, look at that.

-ERIK: You seeing that? -Yes, yeah.
Look, it's-it's in the clouds, whatever it is.
Look how fast it's going.
-And then look, it streaked off. -Look, it streaked off.

TRAVIS: Did y'all find that footage I text you about?
ERIK: You know, I'm looking at the whole time interval
and I'm watching that storm system move in, and, you know,
looking for, you know, you were talking about there being
-some lightning strikes. -TRAVIS: Yeah. I was watching
-on my phone and looking due west. -Yeah.
-TRAVIS: So pretty much that view right there. -Okay.
The day after our Tesla coil experiment,
I headed home for the weekend to think about
what we had experienced
and really just decompress a little.
But while Erik and the team kept analyzing
all the data we collected from the ranch,
I was also remotely monitoring
the security cameras mounted on my trailer
that face the triangle area.
Now, if we've learned anything out here,
it's that phenomena don't always happen
immediately when we experiment.
So, do you have the sense that it would be
-in the field of view? -It should be right there. Yeah.
-Right here? -TRAVIS: I wasn't sure if there was a correlation,
but I saw that a really volatile lightning storm happened,
so when I got back, I wanted to confirm with Erik
what his surveillance system had recorded
just in case anything else may have been captured as well.
ERIK: Let's go forward to the point in time
when you were seeing all of that.
-Yeah, 2:31, right? -That lighting. Let me...
ERIK: So here we are at 2:30.
-Okay. -TRAVIS: By this time,
there should be lightning everywhere.
Right, so I'm-I'm playing through at normal speed,
so we're not skipping any frames,
we shouldn't be missing...
Well, that doesn't make any sense.
That doesn't look at all like what I was watching.
I mean, I was watching a thunderstorm.
This cloud was constantly, just one big flicker.
Okay.
TRAVIS: That makes no sense.
We look at the exact same time that I texted Erik
and there's not a lightning strike or a flash of lightning,
anything, in the actual data,
and I can't understand it.
I was watching it on my phone.
Now, Erik's camera is up on the mesa,
a couple hundred yards from my trailer,
but it's the exact same perspective.
Can you pull up my video from my camera?
Uh, I can, now...
That-- I don't understand that.
I think it might be this one.
You can tell me if this is a match.
-That's it. That's the view. Okay. -That it? Okay.
Wow, look at, look at that.
TRAVIS: Yeah, so this is what I was seeing.
I was seeing dust devils
-all up through here, it was crazy. -Yeah.
ERIK: That is really violent.

I'm gonna, I'm gonna sneak up on that 2:30 time frame.

Okay, do you see anything that resembles what you saw?
TRAVIS: Nothing, because the sky was flickering like crazy.
-Well, I don't see any lightning. -Hey, wait, wait, wait, wait.
-What was that? Right there. Right-- Yeah. -ERIK: You seeing that?
-TRAVIS: Yes, yeah. Back up a couple frames. -All right.
TRAVIS: You guys see? Look, right here. You see this?
-BRYANT: What is that? -I don't know yet.
TRAVIS: It appears there, and then right there, right above the mesa.
-BRYANT: Right above the mesa. -All right, so back it up
-before it and play through it. -ERIK: All right.
Okay, so, we're at 13:42:40.
TRAVIS: There it is. It comes in, it's there,
and then it's, and then it's gone.
You guys see that?
You don't generally see bugs flying around
when it's blowing hard.
So, let's look at another camera angle and see
if we can see if that was a bug or not.

Okay, I'm at about the same timecode here.
Oh, look, look. Right here, right here. Look.
See this?
Look, it's-it's in the clouds, whatever it is.
ERIK: Okay.
-TRAVIS: All right, and then, it's diving. -THOMAS: Is it just diving down?
TRAVIS: Look how it just dives straight down, now...
Now it's, like, hovering. That's weird.
BRYANT: Yeah, you know what's interesting, though,
is right there where it's hovering,
is about the perspective where it looked like
-it disappeared above the mesa. -Where we s-- where we saw it
on the other camera, right?
Look, it-it's got a wake behind it
and it's going really fast.
-And look-look, it just streaked off. -THOMAS: It just streaked off.
What in the world?
-That is crazy. -ERIK: Okay, I got to see this again.
TRAVIS: Yeah, go all the way back.
This is odd.
All right, now look how fast it comes down.
Now watch right here. It's like it goes behind
and through this cloud, you see that?
-BRYANT: Yep. -It even put-- You can see a trail behind it.
-TRAVIS: Look, it's leaving a trail. -ERIK: Right.
TRAVIS: I can't understand that.
But-- And look how fast it's going.
That's amazing.
Yeah, it goes straight down and then it stops.
Right there. Look at that.
And that's about how long it was stopped
in that position in the other camera.
And then it just, boom, look at that.
-Wow. That's something. -Gone.
-It really does look like it's moving fast as it exits. -TRAVIS: Yeah.
I've never seen a quadcopter,
hexacopter, anything like that do that.
I've never seen the fixed-wing drones do something like that.
And, you know, airplanes don't do that.
BRYANT: The coincidence of this is really odd
because you were alerted to what you thought was lightning
-going on. -Right.
And we wouldn't have even been looking at this footage...
-Yeah. -...had you not made a big deal out of the lightning.
The lightning disappears, but then all of a sudden
-we see this thing. -That's a weird string of events.
That just seems like a huge coincidence.
-Oh, yeah. -THOMAS: Yeah.
BRYANT: The fact that we picked this thing up
on multiple cameras from multiple systems,
looking from different angles and saw this thing,
you know, it takes away a lot of the mundane explanation
that it was a bug on the lens
or that it was a bird or something like that.
I don't know what this was, but it's nothing
I have an explanation for.
TRAVIS: That's clearly, I mean, call it a UFO if you want to,
'cause I don't know what it is.
It's flying and it's unidentified.
-Right. -Maybe from the two cameras
we can figure out how far away it is and how fast it's moving.
-That will tell us something, too. -Right.
-So, I'll go play around with that, too. -Yeah, I like that.
What I find interesting about this event
is that is correlates with the experiment
with the Tesla coil out at the triangle area.
So, there is room to speculate that there might be
some relationship between this black object
that shows up in our footage
and whatever was taking place that night.
So, how do you feel about taking this file
to share with Brandon, and kind of get his eyes on this?
TRAVIS: Yeah, absolutely. Do it.

the footage of the dark object
in the sky over the mesa during the recent storm?
Yeah, I just reviewed it and, uh,
I'm anxious to get your perspective on it.
It-It's very intriguing.
It's definitely maneuvering in a way
that you typically don't see with any craft,
drone or anything that I would call conventional.
Right. When it does that one little,
looks like an aerodynamic maneuver,
but then it stops and hovers,
and then just darts off behind the mesa to the north,
uh, it's probably going a-a thousand mile an hour
-at that point. -Yeah. The speed and the trajectory
and just the erratic behavior of the object,
uh, just kind of blew me away.
Yeah, I-I agree.
The only other thing I would say about it
that's interesting to me, also,
is that the object was over the triangle area.
Wow.
Perhaps this object had some kind of causal relationship
with the exercise involving the Tesla coil.
-Yep. -TRAVIS: Yeah.
Well, there appears
-to be a connection. -Right.
BRANDON: To see in broad daylight, once again,
a strange object that is not only moving
at speeds but also trajectories that defy
all description, following that Tesla experiment,
it just leaves you not only baffled but also,
I think, further emboldened to understand
what is really going on above and below Skinwalker Ranch.
Of course, the question I have:
is anything showing up
on the avionics transponder or any
of the other tracking services that are monitoring
all the commercial and private air traffic in the area?
Well, that's really the right question, and the answer's no.
There are no self-identifying aircraft
or at least no transponding aircraft in-in the space
at the time of that event.
That is bizarre.
Well, given the compelling evidence
that you guys have collected,
I think we-we, more than ever, have an imperative
-to get to the bottom of it. -Agreed.
-ERIK: Agreed. -THOMAS: This-this happened above the triangle,
and, by the way, we've taken weather balloons up there...
We-we lost a balloon right there.
I think we just need to come up with a plan to get up there,
look at it closer, and, uh,
and let you know what we come up with.

It's something. We got to figure out a way
-to understand what these things are. -Yeah.
I think you're absolutely right.
The fact that these events
continue to occur repeatedly
over the airspace of this 512-acre ranch,
I think, is beyond coincidence.
-Right. -I think one thing that we've been able to verify
over the course of the last few years
and especially with this team,
is that-that whatever we're observing, it is unique
to this area and unique
to Skinwalker Ranch.
I think getting to the bottom of why
and the origin and the agenda
associated with this phenomena
is going to be job number one moving forward.

you design experiments to study it

Maybe we can even figure out what it is,
why it's here and where it came from.
Be able to communicate with it,
if it wants to be communicated with.
BRANDON: We truly have a unique opportunity
to be able to prove the reality
of strange phenomena
and to be able to prove the reality
that we're not alone in the universe,
that we're interacting with something
or some things here on Skinwalker Ranch.
TRAVIS: We've got a bunch of rockets to launch
right above the triangle area where last year
we saw a UFO appear in the sky.
