The story of Grizzly Adams is big, powerful, beautiful.

Well, how about then he come upon a Grizzly Bear cub all alone and helpless.

Adams knew that little critter couldn't survive without his help, so he started right down that cliff, risking his own life to save it.

Now that cub took to Adams right off.

And that was when he discovered he had a special kind of way with animals.

They just come right up to him like he was a natural part of the wilderness.

But that bear cub, he was extra special.

As he grody became the best friend Adams ever had and together they became a legend.

There's a world where we don't have to run away.

There's a time for our own living free and holy in majesty.

Now I reckon the best time of year for a mountain man is when old mother nature wakes up after sleeping the winter away.

You might say she springs to life.

It's then she pours out a flood of energy and paints the wilderness with such beauty it makes a fellow feel like.

If he ain't careful he'll bump his head on the cloud.

There's one spring I remember to keep you there when my friend Adams invited young Robbie Cartman to spend Easter with him.

Now I ain't much for celebrating holidays I feel it's mostly an excuse for not working with.

To Adams Easter something special.

He works like a beaver preparing to spread for Easter Sunday that I can taste all winter while I'm building up a monster appetite.

And the thing I like best is them delicious honey cakes he always makes.

That's why we was out looking for honey on that early good Friday morning.

Before we start the Easter Egg Roll,

Chief Futani asked me to explain our Easter celebration to you.

Easter means a new beginning, new hope.

We call our great spirit God.

And many, many years ago, God sent His only son down on the earth

with a message for all people, that all men should live together in peace and in harmony.

But there were some people that feared our Lord, and they brought about His death.

On this day, our Lord's spirit was reborn again.

And with it comes new hope, that we can overcome all troubles and start a new life.

to let the sun shine down on them, and to let the cruel winds pass over them in the coming year.

Today is not just any day, everything's alive, and spring is on its way.
