Let's get started
in St. Germain, Wisconsin.

Located at the top
of the Badger State,

St. Germain is surrounded
by towering pines,

star-filled skies and the home
of the Snowmobile Hall of Fame.

That's quite a crowd gathered.

And this would be why.

You might think
that beachwear isn't

the most appropriate attire for
below-zero snowmobile racing,

but it certainly cuts down
on the wind resistance

you get from a parka.

Oh, yeah, she's streamlined
and breaking speed records.

Some riders don't even wear
a jacket.

The Knockers Bikini Run -- yep,
that's the actual name --

has become an annual
Wisconsin tradition.

It was created to raise
breast cancer awareness.

After the race,

everyone enjoys
some hot chocolate

and they relish in the fact

they're all at the top
of their game.

Backward approach, up, around,

and always time for a high five.

He's open.

-Ya-hoo-hoo!

-And he certainly
doesn't lack commitment.

It was Peter's lucky day...

-Oh [bleep]

Because his backpack was
at the top of its game.

[ Whirring ]

Do you hear that noise?

That's Peter's inflatable
avalanche airbag backpack.

It inflates a giant bag

that keeps you riding
on top of the snow,

instead of underneath it.

He wondered if he'd
ever get a chance to use it,

and here you go.

Luckily for us,

if he didn't have
his avalanche backpack on,

we'd just be staring
at a white screen right now.

-Holy [bleep] bro.
Are you okay?

-Yeah, I'm fine.
-Holy [bleep]

-What do you say we head over
to Bear Valley Creek, Idaho?

Idaho is more than potatoes,

but it is a lot of potatoes.

Like, a lot.

But Idaho also has about 3,100
miles of rivers to explore.

So, grab a kayak,
some Tater Tots,

and let the adventure begin.

Rush hour on the river
can be quite invigorating,

and also a little harrowing.

When Eddie went under,
Donny was there to help.

-[ Bleep ]

-And then he went under too.

Donny paddled as hard as
he could to get back to Eddie,

but he was no match
for the Idaho rapids.

I hope Eddie's good
at holding his breath.

Maybe it's time
for a different strategy.

Hang on, Eddie.

There goes Eddie's kayak.

And you notice,
Eddie isn't in it.

Donny learned roping skills
when he and Eddie

went to cowboy camp last summer.

Who knew it would come in
handy here?

when you're both on land.

But Donny's not one
of those guys that gives up.

Maybe it would be easier
if he got a little closer.

to Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Located in the U.P. --

that's the Upper Peninsula,
for those not in the know --

Iron Mountain was named
for its vast amount

of iron ore in the area.

It's right on
the Wisconsin border,

and it's also where you'll find
the Pine Mountain Ski Jump.

It's one thing to crash-land
after a spectacular jump,

but it's another thing
to just start off clumsy

and take a tumble
the whole way down.

When both skis pop off,
there's no way to recover.

The skis look like they survived
better than Jean-Paul there.

Not everyone gets
the first-place medal.

Most competitors have to be cool

with just getting
participation trophy.

And this is why Jeremy
is banned from Pickwick Lanes.

George was on his way
to breaking the course record.

Right up
until that tree got in the way.

You know they're called
snowmobiles for a reason, right?

He goes out for the pass.

And ooh, somehow the quarterback
is also the receiver.

Never seen that before!

Tom promised after
just one more run

he'd properly wash
the snowmobile.

And he's true to his word.

Striving for perfection in this
sport can be so self-defeating.

So, the folks at the
Hickory Falls Public School

belly flop competition,

not only celebrate being
bad divers, they embrace it.

-Ohh!

-If your belly isn't a Barbie
shade of pink when you get out,

you're doing it wrong.

[ Crowd cheers ]

Let's shoot
down to the coastal town

of Gulfport, Mississippi,
known as the Redneck Riviera,

with pristine beaches,

water sports,
and seafood so fresh

it's still moving
on the plate.

Elroy was out for amberjack

and was casting
and reeling in with the hunger.

Elroy even has a fancy new lure.

Practically guaranteeing him
winning the fishing competition.

But the only thing he was
able to catch was something

he brought with him.

-Ohh! Come on.

Here he is,

Oooh!

That is not what
I wanted to happen.

-And that's why we wear shoes
when we fish.

Even when sitting in a boat.
-Yikes!

You know, technically,
Elroy's catch was 185 lbs,

but the judges
weren't buying it.

Elroy had to be content
with a participation trophy

and a scar that came with
an embarrassing story to tell.

boat-related problems.

runaway horses, runaway boats.

It doesn't matter what it is.

It's all exciting.

And we've got one here
right now.

-Got the Sheriff's Office.
Oh, Lord, what are they doing?

Let's see how the cops plan
to tackle this problem.

That's interesting.

I think that's more
for a runaway horse, though.

has drawn quite a crowd.

but, generally,

when the fish is bigger
than the boat,

and that fish happens
to be a shark,

you might want to cut the line
and call it a day.

But that's not what
he wanted to do.

Sometimes that prize is
a narrow gap

between two speeding
semi trucks.

[ Horns blaring ]

-If you're gonna golf
with Mike...

Some people go to insane lengths
to get a par.

I mean, imagine setting this
up in your backyard.

Eye on the prize.

Keeping your eye on something
can usually be great,

but other times,
there's a thing called fixation,

and you tend to head
right towards the thing

you're looking at.

There also might be more
than just coffee in that mug.

Let's land just outside
of Jacksonville, Florida.

Said to be the original home
of the Fountain of Youth,

this town is filled
with the young at heart.

The kind of people that show up
for a race between a sports car

and a modified golf cart.

If the Corvette wins, the golfer
has to wash his car for a year.

If the cart wins,

the other guy has to be
his caddie on the weekend,

and he does not tip
caddies well.

Whoa, okay,

that golf cart driver
definitely is a guy

that has his eye on the prize.

Well, start polishing
those golf balls.

-Golf cart for the win!

-Modern technology allows
us to do a bunch of things,

including throwing things
in reverse.

Whoa, those are
some strange clouds.

Something seems
to be happening here.

Whoa, is this a new
modern construction technique?

Oh, fitness is fun
with the friends,

but what are you doing
on the ground?

the action.

Now let's head
to Cleveland, Missouri.

The third or fourth most popular
Cleveland in the country,

it's a small town with lots

of farmland and crops
and free time.

Stu knew it was time
to say goodbye to his car,

so he decided to go big.

The ignition was spotty,
the clutch would stick.

[ Engine revving ]

-[ Laughing ]

-And, oh, yeah,

it would randomly switch
into reverse sometimes.

There's an unmanned vehicle
speeding randomly

around the property.

But, hey,
at least his girlfriend's

getting a kick out
of it.

-[ Laughs ]
-Where did it go?

Ah, found it!

And that's why, from now on,

Stu's just gonna donate
his old cars

to the local
public radio station.

Genius or not,
we all make errors in judgment.

There are regular errors
in judgment

and then there's this type
of thing.

"Of all the mountains
to climb..."

-Holy [bleep]

-"...we just had to climb
Falling Rock Mountain."

♪

"We're safe up here, right?"

[ Thud ]

"Maybe not."

"Boss said don't worry,

It'll be easy to get
the door unstuck.

He didn't warn us about the dust
and the falling

and everything else."

On trampolines,
jumps are cumulative.

It's a law of physics.

After a day of pulling stumps,
they only had one more left.

[ Snap ]

-That could have killed us.

-But it didn't.
All in a good day.

That's an old refrigerator

filled with four pounds
of Tannerite explosives.

And that's an error
in judgment waiting to happen.

to Wilmington, North Carolina,

home of the Cape Fear River
and the historic Riverwalk.

You can fish, parasail, boat,
and, if you're brave enough,

there's one more thing
you can do.

And Leonardo knows
that better than most.

pretty straightforward to me.

Leo wants to cross that river.

-Oh ho!

-I mean, maybe it's
a little deeper than he thought,

but it doesn't matter.

His skill in that truck, nothing
is gonna stand in his way.

-Except maybe the last 10 ft.

Alright, it's official,
he's in over his head.

I mean,
there could be worse places

to think about your errors
in judgment.

That's where a lot
of your wheat,

barley, and potatoes come from.

Ririe is in the heart
of the Rocky Mountains

and home to 100,000 acres
of water

contained
in the Ririe Reservoir.

That's a lot of water.

It's an Idaho rite of passage,

and Natalie's poised to make it
a lifelong memory.

But it isn't the rite of passage
Natalie was hoping for.

-[ Screams ]

-Oh!

-When taking any leap of faith,
you've just got to commit.

When committing to jumping
through a ring of fire,

the most important thing
to remember is to jump.

[ Woman screams ]

-Aah!

-They don't even bother
wearing a helmet

when they swing
through the canyon,

because after a
200 ft free fall,

if that rope breaks,
what's the point?

Marcus is the type of person
that truly believes in himself.

Now, that's commitment.

The Barnhard twins were
uber competitive

in almost everything they did,

especially when it came
to jumping off of cliffs.

Wait, was that a fair start?

They got off at the same time.

Now, who's gonna make it to the
bottom first, Jimmy or Timmy?

My money's on Jimmy.

He was born two minutes
before Timmy,

so it just seems like
he has the time on his side.

And Jimmy it is.

When it comes to cliff jumping,
birth order matters.

Keep your eye on the can
and the knife.

-Oh, ho ho ho ho!

-Roger doesn't even own
a can opener.

Because he doesn't need to.

It's sort of like
rodeo bull riding except,

instead of a bull,

you're just trying to ride
the spinnaker in the wind.

-Nice! Alright!

-When you fall from 30 feet up,

the water isn't nearly as soft
as you'd hope it would.

-Jump!

[ People cheering ]
No, no, no, no!

-Kyle was notorious for
not getting enough height.

-Oh, my God!

Yeah.
Not even close.

-Oh ho ho!

-Hesitation is the Kryptonite
to commitment.

-Ohh!
-Oh, dude.

-You've just got to commit,
my friend.

[ Engine revving ]

If you've never done
a burnout before,

let me give you
a little lesson.

You've got to hold down the gas
and the brakes

until your wheels start
to squeal.

Generally, there's less fire
involved in most burnouts,

but this guy is the epitome
of commitment.

[ Indistinct shouting
and cheering ]

I mean, credit
where credit's due.

This guy definitely knows
how to put on a show.

It was David's third jump
of the day, and on this one,

the chute didn't deploy
exactly properly.

He had to sort of hold it
in place.

So instead of
gently touching down,

he hits the ground
at about 65 miles an hour.

♪

♪

-I think I broke my leg.

-All things considered,

a broken leg certainly beats
the alternative.

We've seen
some amazing things tonight.

Like this thing
that's happening.

Rocks that want to join
your camping trip.

A couple of close calls.

And some calls
that weren't so close.

All leading us to our most
outrageous clip of the week.

No better bonding experience
than half a dozen pals all

jumping out of a plane
at about 13,000 ft.

And there they go.

It generally only takes
a few seconds

before you reach
your terminal velocity

at about 120 miles an hour.

But that wasn't fast enough
for Hank and company.

By tilting their heads down to
the rapidly approaching ground

and pointing their legs
in the air,

they increased their velocity
to 180 miles an hour.

The average free fall is
just under a minute,

but they say it feels
like an eternity.

I'm gonna take their word
for it.

Finally, it comes time
to pop the chute.

Oh, that doesn't look right.

I'm guessing
by his head movement,

Hank realized
his parachute has malfunctioned.

No biggie.

Hank knows there's
no need to panic.

Not when you have a second chute
waiting in reserve.

Whew! That was close.

But something's not right.

This being open is good.

-Oh!

Oh [bleep]

-This dangling there
is not good.

Hank's running out of time to
straighten this situation out.

-Aah!

-Hank's giving it
a valiant effort.

But the more he tries
to untangle,

the more tangled it becomes.

-[ Grunting ]

-To be brutally honest, most
skydivers that experience this

don't get to tell
their story later.

Argh!

And most also

don't have a 360-degree
camera mounted to the top

of their helmet
for us to follow along.

Unfurled parachutes have
a tendency to snag on trees,

and luckily for him,

he found the softest tree
in the entire county.

And besides a few frayed nerves,
Hank's totally unharmed.

He's a living testament
to just how

wild and weird living in America
can be.
